Swich bistro def has an edge on a normal deli. The owner's background as a chef doesn't allow their food to match their easy going, low key vibes. Each meal is prepped fresh and shopped daily for. Serving only the highest quality deli meats, breads, and ingredients. You will find yourself salivating over the menu trying to decide the one that will leave you with a party in your mouth! To top off their menu their customer service is on point! The most friendliest and humble service making the experience there even better making you want to come back for more. So far I have tried their breakfast burrito, their clam chowder w corn, roast beef sandwich, and tacos. All were 5 stars!!! If yoi aren't in the mood for a sandwich they've got plenty to choose from. So I was down in Irvine picking up an order for work just before noon and I thought I should pick up something for lunch to bring back to the office while down there. I searched Yelp for a sandwich shop and S'wich Bistro was two miles away and had a five star rating. I read the reviews and was taken by the grilled cheese and tomato bisque item some reviewers have raved about. Greeting and service at the counter was friendly and excellent. The employees and owners here definitely appreciate their customers. Also, they make all of their sauces and soups in house. A huge plus since I despise bottled ranch and they make their own fresh. I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato bisque even though there were so many yummy sounding options. I also ordered fries, not because I didn't think there would be enough food, because trust me the sandwich and the soup is plenty for a satisfied tummy, but I just wanted to try them to see how they tasted. The fries were cooked perfectly and nicely thick cut. Oh and the free dill pickles at the condiment bar doesn't suck either. I love, love, love a pickle with any sandwich or burger. Well honestly I can eat pickles any time. Even though there were 3-4 orders in front of mine, I still received my order to go in a reasonable amount of time for everything to be made fresh just for each customer. I couldn't have waited more than 4-5 minutes. I watched as they prepared all the orders and they only made enough fries for the orders they had up, so no heat lamp fries here. They also have their own house made chips which many of the sandwiches come with. You can even upgrade to fries or tater tots. I was offered some ranch with my fries to take with me by a very nice you woman who was delivering all the orders to their tables, and directed to the condiment and pickle bar. She was very nice and handled all customers who came up with questions or other desires with their meal very eloquently. So I took as many pickle spears that would fit in the little baggie they provide, yum, some napkins and went on my way back to work. Let me tell you, it was so amazingly hard to drive for 24 minutes in mild traffic to get back to the office in Garden Grove without tearing into that box. I did eat a couple of the fries to taste them fresh in case they got cold before I returned to my office. The grilled cheese was phenomenal and their homemade tomato bisque, the BOMB!!!! I had high expectations because of the reviews and they exceeded them. I am definitely bookmarking this place and returning soon. There are so many other sandwiches and breakfast items I need to try. Oh and maybe next time, I will add some of that glazed bacon I have read about too. Thank you S'wich Bistro for a lovely experience. Ooooh, I love this place! It's close enough to walk to from my new job and the employees/owners are so nice. I ordered a veggie burger w/avocado today and it was too good. (It's easier not to finish your meal when it's not worth the calories, but I wanted all of this burger. And next time I need to say "no fries", because they were the best kind that make it impossible to stop at one.) It was so good that I forgot to take a picture until I made an embarrassing dent in my lunch. And, as a woman that has canned her own pickles, I'll say that the pickled items here are excellent and remind of those I bought from farmers market's when I lived in Seattle. Quality. read more

I had the Black Forrest Ham sandwich. Really flavorful and the house chips were crisp with the right amount of salt.

This place shows that the little things matter. From the extra few seconds to make the tater tots crispier to the friendly welcome from the guy sweeping the floor. Having a kick-butt selection of sandwiches matters a whole lot as well. This is the third time I have been to this place and the food is delicious and consistently made. My suggestion is to time your visit to avoid lunch rush. Too bad they are not open on weekends. read more

The food is decent, but the incredibly slow service and lack of crowd management makes the experience extremely miserable. Lunch takes 30-40 minutes to prepare. There is no place for people to stand in queue. The fire marshal would write a violation if they visited, I am sure. I do not believe i will be back. read more

Amazing!!!! The turkey pesto with avocado and bacon is delicious!!!! The owner, Rumi (sp?), is so kind! I walked in 10 minutes before closing time thinking I would be rushed but I felt so welcome. Even though I just ordered my sandwich, Rumi was so passionate about the food they serve that she offered me several samples, all of which were delicious. After tasting it, I had to get the toffee cookie--without exaggeration the BEST cookie I've ever had. I'm already planning to go back this week to get more. I stop by here whenever I get the opportunity, as their hours are not ideal unless you work nearby. Delicious food, reasonable prices, friendly service. I love the grilled cheese with bacon and avocado added (though I'll admit the accompanying tomato basil soup is a bit spicy and acidic for my somewhat sensitive stomach). I went one time and got the Korean Beef sandwich. It came with homemade chips. Good portions, reasonable price. The employees there were very friendly and welcoming, exchanging banter with several of the customers (who seem to be regulars). The place was also packed during lunch break - expect a queue to order and at least 10 minutes wait for your food. I would've given this place a 4-star rating, but I thought the Korean Beef was too sweet for my taste. I would definitely come back though and try a different sandwich. read more
