On May 31st, we placed a to-go order for honey walnut chicken, and prawn chow fun. It was not fun. The food was inedible. The noodles were all stuck together, in thick lumps. The sauces were terrible. I threw the food away. Huge disappointment. read more

We ordered fried rice, salt and pepper spare ribs and braised green beans. The fried rice and green beans were tasty. The spare ribs, as you can see in my posted photo, doesn't look too rib like. Can you see the ribs? Because I don't. How do the ribs taste? Just like salt and pepper gristle and fat in fried batter. Waitress was friendly and helpful. Well this is a whole other restaurant. I've had numerous not awesome experiences here more recently, but tonight tops em all! Got my order wrong on 2 accounts. I was very clear on phone. Had to bring 1 portion back completely. Then they charged me 4.50 for my beer as I waiting while they corrected their mistake. Go to Peter's! Cheaper, bigger portions and a staff and owner that cares to make it right above and beyond what you pay for! I will not be doing Chinese food from this place again. Had a really great birthday dinner at Szechuan last Friday. My boyfriend called to make the reservation letting them know it was my birthday and would be about 14 people. When we arrived they had the table all set up and a Happy Birthday banner hanging on the wall right behind the table, which I thought was a nice gesture. Everyone ordered separately and the tab at the end of the night was separated by each table making things a little less complicated. The food was awesome of course ...some people ordered sushi and others had an assortment of dishes. We brought in an ice cream cake and after clearing the plates and making space on the table they came out with the cake and a cute little candle. Again such a nice and unexpected gesture. Would definitely recommend Szechuan for big groups and will continue to go back to this really great restaurant. read more

There are some very good dishes on their menu, you just have to know what to order. The vegan honey walnut shrimp is amazing and I ate it three times before I learned it wasn't real shrimp. The twice cooked beef has big beautiful flavor. The sushi is great, I haven't ordered a piece I haven't enjoyed. Came in for lunch and were seated quickly. We ordered off the lunch menu which included typical Chinese entree, rice and soup of the day. Servers were very friendly and food was served up without delay. The food was very tasty and in large quantity. Lunch price for three was a little bit over $30 with drinks. My husband and I stopped by today for a late lunch. I was happy that they were still serving at 2 PM. It was a family friendly atmosphere and also had a small outdoor patio. Pros: Good service, appealing looking food, and decent potstickers and pork bun. Cons: Very salty food. The first bite or two of all the dishes we ordered were good, but I couldn't eat more than that because everything was sooo salty, especially the bbq pork. I introduced my best friend to chicken Chow Fun in February...he liked it so much, we decided to drive 3 hours last weekend (first weekend of April), just to eat there again. We are typically not this extravagant with our eating out habits....but we felt the craving, and would have been disappointed if we'd substituted for anything else! My favorite aspect to this restaurant , aside from the great food, is that they are open till 9:30 on a Sunday; we travel often through Willits, to help semi-distant family members, and always struggled to find coffee or food on Sunday evenings...this is the ONLY place open past 3pm on Sundays, that isn't a bar or fast food place! What a surprise! We'd seen this place when we went to nearby Ardella's for breakfast, but of course it was closed. Went there for dinner tonight and I was pleasantly surprised to see both a full Chinese menu but also a complete menu of sushi rolls and nigiri. I'm no gourmand when it comes to authentic Chinese dishes but the have some different takes on items you see at every Chinese place. We tried chicken egg foo yung and it was delicious. We also got Hong Kong style crispy noodle pork chow mein as well as honey walnut prawns. All of the food was hot, fresh, and really, really good. We'll be back for sure! read more

ZERO STARS ACTUALLY and they earned it... my wife called in an order and went to pick it up this evening... when we opened the bag we quickly realized that one of the entree was missing. Inconvenient for sure... but mistakes happen... my wife called and explained the situation and how one of the entrees was missing. The person on the line asked if we could pick up the replacement/missing item. My wife explained that we lived in brooktrails and that we didn't have the tome to drive back to their restaurant (THERE WAS NO OFFER FOR THEM TO DELIVER THE MISSING ENTREE). My wife then received another call from one of the supervisors who insisted that the missing order was in the bag. Then my wife received another call from another person saying they checked the video and said it was in the bag(IT WAS NOT). The supervisor offered a replacement if we could come and get it tonight. My wife explained that we were in bed(my wife works early in the morning). The person was again/still rude. My wife told them she did not want another call from them tonight(they offered another call while insisting that the missing order was in the bag... NOT WORTH THE HASSLE AND INCOMPETENCE.... EXTREMELY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. makes me question why they have to have video cameras pointed at the staff and they go blaming my wife for their INCOMPETENCE. WITH THIS BEING THE WAY THEY ARE NOW TREATING THEIR CUSTOMERS ILL PASS... My wife was treated like a scammer/thief when all she was trying to do is get what she paid for... missing order = tofu and mushrooms, idiots.. I picked up food from here a few months back and enjoyed my dinner. Tonight I picked up food again and I'm disappointed. I got egg rolls, the sesame beef and the house chow mein. The egg rolls were mushy inside, the sesame beef was way over cooked and tough and the sauce was too sweet, and the house combination chow mein was bland. I'm hoping this was just an off night but both my son and I didn't finish our meals which Almost never happens. Maybe the sesame beef is better at the restaurant than takeout, but there was no excuse for the egg rolls and chow mein. I will give them another try in a few months..... read more

I ordered the family meal for 2 with the spicy pork and the Kung Pao chicken, hot and sour soup. I'm just visiting Willits today and have never gone to this restaurant before. The spicy pork was breaded and there was barely any pork it was mostly breading some of the pieces were all breading it wasn't spicy it was actually awful. The Kung Pao chicken was some of the worst I've ever tasted, although there was generous amounts of chicken. even the peanuts were stale. The Eggroll was okay I also ordered some seaweed salad which was out of a package and it was good standard issue. The hot and sour soup, well it was better than the main dishes but still lacked flavor and consistency . Based on my experience I would not recommend this restaurant. Good thing I had a late lunch because I just threw most of this in the trash. read more
