Have eaten here countless times and the food has always been good. We were sat at our table at 12:50pm and at 1:05pm we still hadn't seen anyone from the waitstaff. At that point, we decided to take our business elsewhere. The restaurant wasn't incredibly busy. The only thing that I could think of was the new dividers were obstructing the waitstaff from seeing that we were seated. Either way, there needs to be better communication between the hostess and wait staff. Local businesses should be doing everything they can to hold on to their business! The T-BONE was great! I requested extra seasoning on my steak and the blackened it for me. I'm from New Orleans and we love love good flavor. I was not disappointed! The steak was huge and very filling. I substituted the baked potato for butternut squash and it was delicious. Our server, Jaymie, was awesome and very pleasant. A solid 4 star restaurant up here in Laconia. Definitely one of the bigger establishments here and have some good quality foods. We were here on a Saturday evening for dinner and the place was quite packed with patrons. Since we have a bigger party of 6 the wait was about 15-20 minutes before we got a booth. Once we started ordering though the service was quite good despite being a full house night. Definitely a plus to the wait staff on keeping on top of things and getting our food pretty quickly. Like others have mentioned the prices are a tad on the higher end but I definitely think their food quality is better than your average chain family restaurant. The haddock wrap I had was quite fresh and I had a chance to try the lobster roll as well both were quite delicious. I personally love their homemade nacho dip and the bacon cheddar potatoes. The appetizers alone were quite filling base on the stuff they packed in They have an outdoor deck with amazing view of the lake but of course during our visit it was quite packed. So if you're a smaller party definitely would recommend you make advance reservations for outdoor seating. Overall a very good choice for families visiting the area for some good traditional American food choices. read more

Stopped in here on our way to Lake Winni. Got a great seat on the deck after only waiting a few minutes. Food was good. I was very impressed with their "real food" options on the kids menu. I try to keep my kids from picking chicken fingers and mac n cheese at every restaurant and its really helpful when the menu offers healthier choices. My oldest daughter got the kids mixed grill and it was fantastic. Great options for adults, family friendly. read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Popcorn was brought to our table why we perused the menu. Lots of choices and a nice variety of seafood, beef, chicken and salads. We each ordered a half sandwich and soup. I had French onion soup and 1/2 Reuben sandwich. Both were great with nice seasoning and came with homemade potato chips. My husband had chili and a slider which was a small burger but definitely bigger than your average slider. Chili came out in a bowl with tortillas and smothered in cheese. Nice flavor but not too spicy (yes I tried his chili). The only drawback is we waited quite a while for our food and the waitress said the ticket time was definitely too long but I guess they had a large party of softball players come in before us and the kitchen got a little behind. No fault of theirs I googled the website, clicked the phone number to call ahead, unfortunately it went to Hudson and I was near Laconia so had to wait as a walk in but it went quick. With 4 kids so ordered as soon as we sat and asked that it come out as soon as ready, wait 45m + and food came out, plates on fire from being under heat lamps and unfortunately my order came out incorrect (I asked no onions) . Asked for them to make it "to go" waited another 20m and was told that the ticket got lost. T-Bone's is clearly part of a chain of restaurants in the area, and by local standards, probably at the middle of that chain. The staff is pleasant, but over-worked and hence the service is slow. The food was steak and potatoes: and I'd describe it as adequate, but no more. My filet was fine (not great, but not bad), but the baked potato was dry, and I had to ask for butter for the potato. The salad was salad-bar quality but with little choice. I'm not a fan of this place. It wasn't awful, but there was little appealing about it either. Somehow, this restaurant seems to be pretending to be more than it can really deliver. read more

Pretty decent grub with a nice view from the deck. My lobster roll was tasty. Waitress said it's the best one around -- it was good, but not that good! Scallops wrapped in bacon were tasty, but small. I get it. Their fries were the large cut steak fries, which I'm not a fan of. The sweet fries were much better. The bread that comes to the table was so yummy, and the whipped butter was great. All in all a decent meal! read more

Called ahead and was told an hour wait at 5:45. Arrived at 6:40 and asked for a table outside, if possible. 10 minutes later we were sitting on the outside deck with live music. They made Kelli's caramel apple martini just right, I had a MicUltra and Ry had her first ever Roy Rogers. We all decided on the BBQ Steak and Chicken with homemade BBQ sauce, broccoli and rice. The meal was fantastic. Steak was cooked perfectly as ordered. For dessert Rylie and I split Homemade Apple Crisp that was well worth the hype! The service we received from Stephanie was just as awesome. Highly recommend a visit to T-bones! May want to go back before we head home. read more

Honestly it wasn't too bad, we started with the wings, we chose Buffalo and Honey Siracha. They were pretty good, juicy and flavorful. For our entree we had the Tbone, I was very disappointed that it came out completely over cooked(well done) and it was tough and dry. Overall the food was good and tasty but I do feel like I just wasted $35 on a tough dry steak which is sad because it did taste alright. I had my hesitations because I saw it was a chain restaurant but I am so glad I tried it. The service was excellent and our waitress Melissa was really friendly. I highly recommend the scallops wrapped in bacon appetizer. It's tender scallops with soft bacon in a light, sweet maple citrus sauce. Sweet enough but not sticky or overwhelming for the scallops. The BBQ steak tips were also on point. Tender and the BBQ sauce was too heavy. Overall we loved our meal and would come back again next time. read more

1st time we went food and service was awesome. Dinner. 2nd time service was mediocre and food was still pretty good lunch 3rd time, this restaurant has real potential however consistency was lacking. The male waiter we had acted annoyed that we showed up on a slow day. The food not only lacked taste but took a lot longer to be served to us then previous 2 visits. Each time we went we had a different server. Lunch Cactus Jacks (same building but on the lower level) however has always been consistent with both food and service in our experience. First visit here, some friends love it, so we made the hour drive to check it out. We arrived and there was a buzz but it didn't seem crazy busy. We were seated within 10 minutes. Our friends were 20 minutes late. By the time they were seated, it was 7 on a Tuesday and it seemed things had picked up a lot. It was Tuesday of Mass. Vacation Week. The waiter was short of breath as he told us it was busier than they had planned for. We came for T-Bones famous T-Bone Steak dinner and two from our table ordered that dish. 2 minutes later he returned and told us they were sold out. He said they would do what needs to be done, they would go to the grocery store to buy more T-Bone steaks, we could order a Rib Eye from the sister restaurant downstairs (for a $5 fee) or we could choose something else from the menu. We were hungry so we ordered something else. We'd ordered an appetizer, salads and a soup. The salads and soup came out pretty quick. The house salad was a modest spring green mix, pretty good croutons, and dressing on top (I'd ordered it on the side). At least 20 minutes later the appetizer finally came out, the manager came with it and apologized for the long wait. It was shortly thereafter our entrees arrived and looked good. I had the tenderloin cooked medium and it was spot on. It was on a slice of sourdough bread, that soaked up the juices, an interesting choice. I'd chosen mashed potatoes and they were...semi-mashed. Lots of chunks of potato, reminded me of lumpy mashed potatoes at home. We were given a $20 gift card for the troubles we'd had. Our server was CJ and he did great, considering the circumstances. Great food, great service, nice ambience and decor. Went with a buddy on a Saturday night. There was a thirty minute wait, but we managed to squeeze in at the bar and got served sooner. The bartender was great; friendly, helpful, and prompt was impressive for such a busy night. I got the teriyaki steak tips with a 22 oz. IPA. Great meal! My buddy says his filet mignon was bland, but he complains every time we eat out.. haha. The management was top notch too. There were a lot of locals dining at the bar, and when the bartender dropped a bottle of tequila, and some of it got in one lady's eye, both bartenders and the hostess were all over it to make sure she was alright, and comped her her meal as well. We came in as the evening was tapering down last Monday night and still suffered a 45 minute wait for the food and since we were starving after a day of boating it was excruciating. They do serve a delicious bread to nibble on and we got a mozzarella patty shaped app that was yummy. For the main course we got 2 cheddar burgers, 1 taco burger, a fisherman's platter and a salad with french onion soup. Salad was sent back wilted lettuce and it was taken off the bill. My burger was overcooked wanted med well I should know better than to order that. Medium next time. Other burger and the taco burger which I tasted was good and spicy. The fisherman platter was huge and we took most of it home. Large shrimp and scallops were devoured and next day the thick cut haddock was reheated and great. The bar looked lively and if I was from the area I could see myself cooling off or warming up as the seasons dictate. It was a little pricey especially for the "not the greatest burger in NH" but I guess I would try it again or hit their sister restaurant down under Captain Jacks. read more

Perfect steak. Small entree salads. Darn near perfect burger. Clean plate award. The owners have run T Bones and Cactus Jack's for decades. Both restaurants are in the same building on different floors. My boys tackled the 25 oz porterhouse and the 12 oz strip. I collected Dad Tax on both and I was impressed. Tender, cooked to perfection and both seasoned identically. Perfect. My lovely and I had Salads, which were good. They need a big salad option for big boys (I could have ate two). Suspecting as much I nearly asked for a double chicken option, but didn't want to be that masshole in a perfectly fine restaurant. We returned to Cactus Jack's.where my boy had the darn fine hamburger. He devoured it. It may have needed to rest a while longer to avoid being a tad greasy. But plates clear all around. The food is really good here, which is fortunate because there are few choices around here. In fact, if you don't like T-Bones you can march right over to Friendlys across the parking lot. The service is seriously slow even when they are not busy. Order everything you want right away when the server finally notices you.
