I've since moved away, but my family still lives in the area so I'll come in from time to time with them. What I've always loved about this place is how consistent everything is and always has been. I recently came in November 2022. First thing I noticed was the menu had changed. My friends ordered some new stuff, which I thought was really great, but I noticed some of the staple foods on the menu I used to love are gone. It seems like the menu has shifted more towards a chilis type menu which was a real bummer. Not sure if this was part of new branding or ownership but I probably won't go back in. Very disappointed in the new menu. this new menu is terrible. we are regulars that come in allot like every week. Why remove the spinach Dip that was one of their best App's. They also took away the large garden Salad with chicken. They still have the Small garden salad however they will not make an exception to make it a large with the chicken No they will only give you a small and charge you all this extra fund to add chicken that comes out to the price of a large salad With less food. They also took away the black bean salad. They got rid of sever of their best servers. So now the food is not that great and neither is the serves. This place is goi g down hill quick. It's bad enough there isn't much food options in this are. I guess we will start going to Walk Ons from now on. read more

Only give this 2 stars because our server was nice. First off, the guac on my burger was not fresh. It was brown so it was obvious. We ordered a side of pickles that were so salty. I ordered the burger which was $13.99 & I added a fried egg for $1 upcharge. It came with fries but on the menu it stated you could substitute for a salad FREE OF CHARGE. So I asked for a Caesar salad instead of fries. When the bill came, it stated the burger was $16.99 + $1.00 for the egg. I told the server if she could correct it bc it shouldn't be that price. She came back & said it was that $16.99 bc I added the egg, I corrected her & showed her on the ticket where it said "16.99 PLUS $1.00 for the egg" when it should be $13.99+$1.00. She said she'd go ask the manager again. She came back & said it was $16.99 bc I upgraded to a salad. Again I showed her where on the menu it said you could substitute that free of charge. She said "that's what my manager said" & I felt bad sending her back yet again when it was obviously the incompetent managers fault. I said "you know what, forget it. It's fine, but let your manager know they should revise their menus & change that statement if they're going to charge". A manager never bothered coming over & instead had the server running back & forth explaining so I dropped it & just paid the extra amount since obviously he didn't care. I had heard so many great things about Taco Mac, so I guess I was expecting more. It was fine and unremarkable in just about every way. The food was good, but not great. Portion sizes were good, but not huge. The atmosphere is typical bar atmosphere, and the place was very clean. Our server was good, but overworked; maybe that's all-too-standard now since it's so tough to find employees in this current economy. I wouldn't choose to come back here, but I wouldn't turn it aside if someone were taking me. All around good, but not great. read more

This used to be my favorite takeout spot. but lately I WI was delivered wings that were burnt. (No, not charcoaled) Then Tonight, whatever could that fox Burger have done to the cook. the bun. Was burnt.Now I'm up against a deadline so I don't have time to take it back. But SO DISAPPOINTING . The otato fries were not enough to make up for the burnt bun, but they were good. read more

Taco Mac was once the place for great wings...no more. A couple of months ago they started severing shinny little wings. The food here is normally quite good, but the service leaves something to be desired. There is one hostess, Jordan, who was very hostile to us a few months ago. We always try to treat people like we want to be treated, but this person made that impossible. We didn't go back for a while but decided because we like the food, we would try again. Unfortunately, Jordan was there, and even though my husband tried to say that he didn't like how our interaction was at our previous visit, she refused to accept her part in the that situation. We were seated right away & beers came quickly. Unfortunately our order took forever as the kitchen seemed to be having some issues. Server Isabel was sympathetic & kept checking. At least it was worth the wait. My "Chattahoochee Burger" was very good (bacon, bourbon-cola onions, Gouda cheese), & wife enjoyed her salad with what she declared as very good house made bleu cheese dressing. 5 stars if not for the wait. Dined in Sunday night with my cousin around 9pm. We sat in a both along the back of the restaurant. I started off with a wedge salad and she had queso. My salad was a bit overdressed, but non the less tasty. I ordered a quad of nooners (5oz pours of draft beers) and created my own flight. Found a new favorite beer also, Golden Road Mamgo Cart!!! Delish. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich, fried of course and my cousin had a ten piece split lemon pepper/ honey twang. We both tremendously enjoyed our food. David was our server and he did an awesome job. Staff were mask and social distancing was happening throu6the restaurant although I am ot sure if it was mandatory from the establishment. Has anyone ever gotten their order correct when they order to-go from this location? I heard many moons ago someone did, but it could just be a tall tale. Sure, I could check the order after using an iron-forged sword to get through the tie on the bag that I'm assuming was done by the folks who tie ropes together on pirate ships, but "lemon pepper" seems like a pretty easy add-on, so Faith it is. Save your time and money! The amount of food for the price isn't the worst part, if they would at least NOT incinerate the food then it might be edible but I will never know. The pretzel and pimento cheese is a joke. Burnt pretzel and bland cheese, I think anyone could have done a better job. My husband's chicken tender meal consisted of three Zaxby's sized tenders that were cooked to the point of jerky but we still haven't gotten to the best part... While in the ladies restroom I experienced several female wait staff crowd into the handicap stall only to do what sounded like some illegal activity. The beer options are endless, the menu has a lot of options, and the service was good. You can sit on the side with booths which is a bit more private, or you can sit at the tables where there are TV's to watch sports and the atmosphere is more bar-like. My bride craved wings so me made a quick trip to Taco Mac on Dallas Hwy. A number of tables were open and we were seated indoors immediately. The food was prepared as ordered, but we had to wait an inordinate time to get our food. When it showed up, the wings and fries were cold.My bride requested some lemon with her water and she had to ask three times and wait for her second glass of water to get the lemon. Our waitress was seldom seen during our meal and she was more concerned with bussing a vacated booth and wandering rather than give us our check. After a longer than acceptable wait, I flagged her down and requested our check, but had to wait while the waitress delivered drinks to an adjacent booth and take food orders from another booth. Our bill was finally dropped on our table without much interaction. Not sure why our server was in the weeds because there were three other servers working the immediate area and all seems to keep regular tabs on their tables. Really disappointed in the lack of service. Probably the last time we frequent this Taco Mac! read more

I noticed the myriad reviews over the years where management responds to the customer. However, It's apparent the reviews aren't taken seriously here. The complaints are similar. Cold food is the #1 complaint , next to the food being undesirable. Like many management has reached out to me; what customers want to see is effort. If you're into beer, they have plenty of over-priced beer. The food is, at best, hit or miss. I spent 20 years patronizing this place and have noticed that the food and service has taken a huge hit. Maybe it was COVID or just bad management. Maybe it's that they're not the only game in town anymore. I'm ashamed to say that this was my first time going to a taco mac. My family and I went here on a Saturday afternoon. We had a group of 8 so it was a pretty good size order that we placed. Out drinks came out pretty fast. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I order the tacos with three different kinds. I had the buffalo chicken, fish, and then the beef taco. They were all really good. I also had the Mexican rice. That rice was amazing, I took a bite and thought I was on the street eating it off of a vendor. I also had the peach Margarita and that was pretty darn good. I didn't give five stars because the service although it was fine. it wasn't great. Our drinks were slow to get refilled and plates lingered on the table. It wasn't very busy at the time that we came so I'm not sure what the problem was. However, I enjoyed the food and for the most part my first visit to taco mac. I will come back again. read more

TM at West Cobb is arguably the most inconsistent restaurant in the area and since there are really no great eateries in WC that speaks for itself. Tonight brought back the memories of when it was TM the first time, you know, before the name change, and then back to TM as it is currently! We ordered for pickup, 20 wings cooked "really well," and yes when I arrived home and took the first bite they were anything but well done! What is interesting, each of the two patrons picking up in front of me had to send their orders back because they were apparently not correct. Isn't there a manager working the kitchen? If so maybe management needs a shakeup...AGAIN! Please, no excuses of how busy it was, your model is based on volume. Come on TM, get it right or change the name to anything but TACO MAC!
