TM at West Cobb is arguably the most inconsistent restaurant in the area and since there are really no great eateries in WC that speaks for itself. Tonight brought back the memories of when it was TM the first time, you know, before the name change, and then back to TM as it is currently! We ordered for pickup, 20 wings cooked "really well," and yes when I arrived home and took the first bite they were anything but well done! What is interesting, each of the two patrons picking up in front of me had to send their orders back because they were apparently not correct. Isn't there a manager working the kitchen? This is my go to place for oven roasted wings and its by far my favorite Taco Mac in the Atlanta area. The service is okay, so we usually sit at the bar for better/ quicker service. Instead of wings we decided to venture out and try their burger and my oh my, we were not disappointed! It was mouth savoring deliciousness! It was cooked perfectly fora medium burger! I have been going to TMac for almost 20 years. It seems like it's just getting worse every time we go. Last night we waited for a table for 20 min with other groups while 4 tables and 3 booths sat open the entire time. When I asked the manager why we were not being seated, he brushed me off and said "they were being cleaned" (for 20min). When we finally got our table, we sat for another 10 min waiting on our drink order. I had to flag down a manager to get our drinks. Our food came out late and cold. Went there last Sunday and they didn't have Heineken on tap. No problem, ordered something else. I ordered the steak quesadilla. Very, very greasy. When I got home I was sick with diarrhea. So we ordered wings and some soup. The food took more than 30 minutes to come out. The soup wasn't hot or even warm. The wing tasted good , but were not very warm. it took a long time to get the check. I asked for wipes to clean my hand, which they used to bring out when they brought the food. I got tired of waiting and went to the bathroom to wash my hands. One of the trash cans was overflowing and one of the paper towel dispensers was empty. once I got back to the table it took another 15 minutes to get my card back. Cleary the manager wasn't doing their job. Needless to say, I wont be going back to taco Mac anytime soon. One good thing about this visit is that I didn't get sick from the food this time. this place has clearly gone down the tubes and is nothing like it used to be. Disappointed tonight because my daughter's boyfriend ordered wings in two different flavors. They made a mistake and brought him half of the wings with no flavor when he had ordered lemon pepper flavor. The manager happened to walk by right after we received our food and asked how we were doing. We let him know about the mistake. Instead of bringing freshly cooked lemon pepper wings that were buttered and flavored in the kitchen he brought over a container of lemon pepper to pour onto the ones he originally received. Good food, but really slow service. Took almost 30 minutes after ordering to get 3 tacos and a burger. I ordered a cocktail (mule) and was disappointed when it arrived with ice to the rim of the cup. Ordered a second with light ice, not making a big deal about the first, and it came with hardly a taste of vodka. If you're into beer, it's a decent place. Now I have to add... we've been done with our food for 30 minutes. Had to ask for the check, and that was an additional 10 minutes ago. (Guess they thought we'd order another round so I could actually feel as if I'd had a cocktail. Not a big drinker, but I at least like to feel a bit relaxed.) I'll start with the bad- this isn't a place to go for the food except the wings. Nothing vegetarian is good, the salads are below mediocre, the veggie fajita was a plate of mushrooms with a couple pieces of broccoli, etc. For the good: The beer is amazing- a great selection of local beers. The service could be improved as 80 percent of the time we ate not one server could be seen (no manager on duty maybe/bad management/ problems in the kitchen/too much fun in the kitchen?). But our server and the bartender were very friendly and the moment we expressed dissatisfaction with the food they did everything they could to remedy the situation. I remember Taco Mac from when I lived here, so when we moved back and my husband (in the midst of unpacking) yelled "I want a beer!" I drove him over. We just moved in from Colorado and after 5 years of living there we prefer craft beers. Taco Mac helps us with that. The food is what you would expect from a sports bar. Nothing mind blowing but nothing that makes you gag either. I love their roasted wings and their shrimp/mango/guac wrap. The service so far has been good. A few times we were waiting awhile for our server to come back and get our food order, but nothing where we started to get annoyed (usually we are here to watch 4 hour football games, so we have time). There are regulars here, but you don't see the bartenders ignore newcomers or give more preference to regulars. They chat with them and help them out. We did have a situation where one of the bartenders was forgetting to put in food orders--I called it as soon as the man next to us asked where his dessert was and the bartender stumbled through a 'kitchen is backed up' excuse. We gently reminded the bartender and that was that. I was very surprised to see the general manager come up with our food, apologize, and comp our meal. Nothing we asked for or expected. We were impressed about that. All in all, it is a sports bar, but we have not had a bad experience in the many times we have already frequented. read more

The worst location I have visited. The place is a third full and the wait staff cannot even handle it. No one should wait over 10 minutes to have someone greet and take a drink order. So I,have been to many taco Macs in the coty beforw. This is by far the worst. So after I sit at my table for 10 minutes without so much as a hello my waitress suddenly shows up. Out of a waitstaff of about twenty, she is one of two that look like me. I also notice that she has the only other table of people that look like me. I usually dont notice this type of thing and had she showed up sooner, I probably wouldn't have. The manager did attempt to comp us for the meal but I declined. First time at this Taco Mac. I always get wings (medium heat). Well of the 4 places in Atlanta I know that had a dry wing was Taco Mac, Buffalos, JR Crickets & 3 Dollar Cafe. Dry wings are the best in my opinion and 2 Months ago they told me AFTER I complained that they changed the sauce. My wings were swimming in sauce. How disgusting. I asked the manager what was up with the switching up on how they do wings now, he said corporate wanted to change. Well I told him that that was a bad idea and if a customer orders wings and they are drastically different it would be nice if the server would have told someone. Our server has been there 8 years, she should have known better but she didn't!! This is a time of year that guys get together and eat wings and drink beer and watch football. This new recipe could cost them business. I know I won't be back, I will travel another 15 miles for 3 Dollar Cafe to get my wings. My wife got the fish tacos and the fish was not hot. Go figure. I consider this Taco Mac location to have 4 star beer selection and 2 star service. I've lived near this location for two years and the table service has never improved. My experience has been above average food with below average service. The staff and the management are friendly and I believe they want to deliver good service but I don't think there is a desire to deliver terrific service. The roasted wings are tasty. The burgers are juicy. The beer is cold. They always accommodate my football selection whether I'm sitting at the bar or in the restaurant. So I've written mostly positive comments. My frustration lies in the slow service when I'm seated, the infrequent checks on my table and the lack of attention to detail. Too frequently the server forgets the silverware. No big deal except I may not see that server for another 10 minutes. Look around the restaurant and you'll see empty glasses. I love the beer, especially when I have a DD. Too bad I'm limited to three beers per hour. That's about as often as you'll see a server. The staff isn't overwhelmed, they're just not trained. Ok. So why do I come here so frequently. I'm too cheap to order college and NFL packages on my cable service. So the food is good enough and the TVs are high def. It's my fault for living out in the sticks of West Cobb. There is a certain symbiosis that exists in the super-suburbs. "I'm lucky to have a place": "you're lucky to have a place". This Taco Mac has plenty of business. Is there really a reason to improve the service? So there's this harmony. Expect slow and hope for fast. Come and enjoy wings and beer. Have patience and recognize there isn't much competition. As far as Taco Macs go this one is not among my favorites. It tends to be dark and full of locals who are a little to far in for the time of day. But, seeing as how its Taco Mac i have to give it atleast 4 stars since you know the beer will be cold and the food will be decent. The bar tends to be under staffed so i've ended up waiting a pretty good while to get my order and then to get a fresh beer. All in all, not terrible but not my favorite. If i'm in the area i'd rather go to chastain rd but if i'm on the way home this one will do. read more

Surprisingly good and fresh. We had a starter of 3 mile island hot wings which were tasty, I would have preferred the wings to be a little meatier but they were still quite good. When we first moved here I really loved this place. Huge beer selection with fish taco's on the menu with a ton of other good selection. However now days after being disappointed many times with very poor service, food quality lacking and management that just doesn't seem to be responsive or able to fix the basic problems I'm speaking about we no longer go here at all. I have been going to Taco Mac for 15 years all over Atlanta and this is by far the worse. The beer selection is great but the customer service is horrible. This isn't just a one time thing. I have visited this location about 8 times just because it's close to home. Each visit gets worse. Today we were seated and waited over 25 minutes. We were unable to order because all the servers were in s meeting????? Cmon. All servers in a meeting for that long??? I don't think they realize people come to restaurants to EAT!!!!
