    Margaritas. Yum.

We had a great time celebrating the 80th birthday of our friend and golf buddy, Al, at this Taco Mac in Marietta. Al has been a regular at this Taco Mac location since it opened in 1998. Many of the staff and regular patrons know him here. Multiple Taco Mac Brewniversity Beer Gods were in attendance to celebrate, and maybe even at least one Beer Guru. Taco Mac "Brewniversity" is Taco Mac's beer rewards program. To attain "Beer God" status, you have to drink 5,000 different beers at Taco Mac. "Beer Guru" requires 10,000 different beers. Crazy. (There are different levels of Beer God in between 5K and 10K beers.) The party took place inside Taco Mac Marietta's private room, which is large and spacious. What I love about Taco Mac is it's one of the best sports bars in metro Atlanta in terms of no-frills sports viewing. Every Taco Mac I've been to has always had lots of TVs tuned to the live sporting events I want to watch. The private room at this Taco Mac was no exception. It was great for watching sports. On one side of the room, they had a self-serve buffet setup with a salad bar (spring mix, shredded cheddar, cucumber, red onion, tomatoes, croutons, dressings, etc.), nacho bar (tortilla chips, ground beef, queso, pico de gallo, etc.), traditional and boneless wings in various flavors (e.g., hot buffalo sauce, wet lemon pepper sauce, and Asian sweet heat sauce), celery and carrot sticks with ranch and blue cheese, and more. I think there may have been quesadillas too. The food was good -- nothing fancy, just solid sports bar fare. Easy, fresh, and satisfying. I liked the wings the best and would go back for more. My wife and I ordered margaritas. They were well made and tasty. The birthday cake was brought in from Publix (yummy). This Taco Mac is located in the Lowe's shopping center in West Cobb. It was moderately busy during our Wednesday evening visit. We saw several members of the nearby Marietta High School football team here. There are several seating options, including outside on a partially-covered wraparound patio. All of the staff was nice and did a good job. The first Taco Mac opened in the Virginia-Highland neighborhood of Atlanta in 1979. At the time of writing this, I counted 26 locations in metro Atlanta. In the metro area alone, they go as far south as Newnan and Peachtree City and as far north as Dawsonville and Gainesville. There are also locations in Alabama and Tennessee.

ORIGINAL WINGS - allegedly extra crispy

I placed a carry out order because I was really craving wings after shopping. I ordered my wings extra crispy. They were not. The hot sauce was not what I'm used to, but it's been a minute since I had wings from taco Mac so maybe this is their new hot sauce? I don't eat wings often so what a disappointment. I had to air fry them when I got home to make them edible. Staff was nice. Friendly. And got me a water while I waited for my order to be ready.

Liz was our Bartender! Great personality! Good at serving food and beer. Thanks for such a great employee!!!!

Been coming here for years. Glad they brought the grilled chicken back!! I hope they never get rid of the Brussels Sprouts - it's their best menu item.

It's located in a shopping center (there's a racetrac sharing the area as well) but it's easy to find with the standout signage. We could tell from the parking lot that it wasn't super busy and once we walked in, we were greeted and taken to our table. The waiting area has all sorts of license plates, merch, an area for local businesses to leave cards and kinda gives you a colorful glimpse into the restaurant itself. We were seated in the Front Yard and my kiddos immediately fell in love with the vibrant colors of the decor, the bus that they could see which is located behind the bar area, and they each got a pack of wikki stixs that kept them occupied throughout our time at the table. The decor makes the space super fun, there are plenty do tvs around, and this was just a really family friendly place. Our waiter was attentive and took great care of us. While I was stuck between getting the MMY Patty Melt, I decided to go with the Totally Tubular Turkey Club. My husband got the Buckin' Buffalo, one kiddo opted for a cheeseburger and the other kiddo wanted chicken tenders. It took about 15 mins for the food to come and when it did it looked sooooo delicious. My club was fresh and tasted really good. Bacon, turkey, white American cheese, lettuce, tomato and I guess their house sauce all on sourdough. I loved it and I opted for onion rings instead of tots or fries because I really wanted some and really enjoyed them. The onion rings were not greasy and tasty so good. Everyone enjoyed their food (the kiddos mentioned their fries being a bit salty and after I tried one I agreed) but we were near the pinball room soooo after they finished they were asking if they could go okay games. Before we left the table, I got a cookies n cream milkshake which was sooooo good and came with whipped cream, Oreo crumbles on top and gummy worms. We did visit the pinball room and the kids had a blast. Bring cash to play most of the games but it was fun to see everyone having fun playing games and enjoying their Friday night. Really enjoyed this place and want to come back to try some other items on the menu. Such a cute place!

Unfortunately, as someone who has eaten burgers all over the world the Trucker Burger was disappointing on many levels. First of all, it felt like a misleading description to describe the burger as having two "smash patties". These were definitely not smash patties under the traditional definition in my opinion. The bun was good, but the burger patties themselves were far too plump, lacked bounce, had no caramelization in the edges and were not juicy on the inside. It tasted like a burger you'd find at your neighbor's backyard BBQ with a general lack of flavor and course texture like the lean to fat ratio was off and the burger was cooked on too low a temperature. The staff was very friendly and the food came out quickly. Unfortunately, the burger was a let down and extremely overpriced. You're better off going to a fast casual spot like Freddy's where you can get a great smash burger for much less.

First off, I love the history of this building... 1800s, supposedly the jail at some point long ago. You can just feel the history and imagine what took place in there as you sit and wait for your meal. The staff are all fun and attentive, and our server -- who was also tending bar that day -- was amazing! We were there early enough for the half priced apps, and weren't hungry enough for a full meal. I ordered a side salad with ranch, and we split the smoked nachos. When they came out, it was a huge portion and enough for both my wife and I. The only drawback is that they didn't have any sour cream that we could add to the nachos... It may seem trivial, but I've never needed anyplace that didn't have sour cream for the nachos. Because of that, I will give this a 4.75 stars. We will definitely be back!
