I'm not a fan but since I'm on vacation I never have to worry about coming back. Service is slow and luck luster. It took someone 10 minutes to walk by our table so we could ask for our server. The restaurant is packed because of the Georgia game (yes I'm writing this in real time because I'm so over it lol) so I could understand the initial slow start, but we've had to ask multiple times for our missing drinks and food. We asked for water twice and gave up honestly. The strawberry lemonade and Philly egg roll hit for me. The salsa verde tacos were awful, neither of us wanted more than a bite. The server said they're known for them but I need to know who is craving these things... SO many tv's so come watch your game and grab a drink. The food didn't seem worth the headache at all. If this review was purely on my server, Luther, it would be a 5/5. He was absolutely amazing. Great personality, prompt, good sense of humor, and considerate. He was friendly and so positive. I ordered 30 wings and some tater tots. It comes with carrots and celery. Food came out and I'm so excited to eat. Unfortunately, I've discovered that my carrots were spoiled. They were slimy and reeked. I spoke to the manager, Stephanie, about my carrots and she said "oh yeah we just threw out a couple of bags". That is it. She didn't try to fix the problem, apologize, or anything. So all my carrots and the few wings it touched were just wasted. read more

This Taco Mac as been in Dunwoody Forever. I have always had a great time here. However, the Hispanic female manager on duty (on 3/28/26 at around 7:30pm) needs ALOT of retraining. This manager was Rude to potential customers, as I awas coming in for March Madness on a Saturday evening. This Taco Mac mac is NOT a lone restaurant in the middle of nowhere; it is surrounded by a TON of various dining options. Please do not waste your time or money on this place because the customer service, customer care, and "professional" communication is at a historic low. Really Taco Mac? This has been a go to for many sports games over the years - no more! My husband walked in to watch a game - asked the staff if it was on - they said yes. Ordered a beer, before he could even take a sip - they come back and say the game actually can't be turned on. He has to scramble to get home and watch his favorite team now....the waiters response is to bring the bill for a beer he didn't even drink. That's SUCH poor service! read more

We came here last night after a long day of work and wanted to grab some beer. They were out of 85% of the beers that I wanted, this was my first time here so when I heard they have so many beers kind of like a world of beer I was super excited but was disappointed to find out they were out of almost everything. Will never return to this location. Drove thirty minutes out to visit a Taco Mac with nice reviews hoping for " good" service . I've never been before and let's be real ITS TACO MAC ... not a 5star restaurant... People go here for beer and bar food . There's no signs or anything of the sort that says " WAIT TO BE SEATED" and no person waiting to arrange our seats . Only one worker in an apron staring at us both like a deer in headlights. Anyways I didn't think it would be a big deal and like I said no signs.... I work in costumer service and it has been my bread and butter for 10 years .. that being said I never go out of my way to complain or cause an inconvenience to those who are serving me ... As we are walking through the side( we decided to sit outside ) there's a woman server walking out as we are walking in with her hands full... My partner and I step to the side and say " sorry " and wait a good 30 seconds and she kept DEATH GLARING US and saying to go ahead and come in ... So we finally did and I didn't take much account into her being rude yet ... Maybe she's had a bad day? I sit my things down and walk to the ladies room.... On my way to the ladies room .... Less than a 1 minute walk... I hear this same woman yelling THREE times to multiple people who work there " THESE PEOPLE JUST SAT THEY SELVES OUTSIDE" over and over with a attitude ... Got in the bathroom and it was nasty... Nope. Decided to leave . On the way out some other nice serves were confused and asked if we wanted to sit outside and I told them we changed our minds ... But let's be honest why on earth would anyone want to sit and eat anywhere where they are glared at with eye daggers and complained about before even being greeted ? You know what it's like when it's a lazy Saturday afternoon, after you've had a big late breakfast and you want a snack, but not at home, and you want it in a bar-like environment, but not in a divey bar? Well, that's how we were feeling. I've kept forgetting about Taco Mac ever since Ashford Lane was being developed, only because we used to be able to practically drive up to it. All vehicular traffic has since been blocked, so - out of sight, out of mind. Anyhow, we parked in the big parking lot (there's also a parking garage nearby, and the great thing about parking at Ashford Lane is that it's all free!) close to a nearby tavern but we weren't able to sit close to any of the monitors showing the Braves baseball game, so we left. We walked to Taco Mac and knew that we'd be able to watch the baseball game here. The place wasn't busy, so the host told us to sit wherever we wanted to. Sitting at the bar was perfect for us. The entire time we received great service from the two bartenders, and I can't think of anything that needed any improvement while we were there. We sat down and one of the bartenders came by, introduced himself and took our drink orders (a couple of beers), then took our snack order - Chicken Tinga Train Wreck Nachos. The beer arrived soon after we ordered. If you're into trying a large variety of beers, you'll want to come to Taco Mac. I counted a total of 90 beer taps, but I'm not sure if any of them were duplicates. We waited about 15 minutes before our Chicken Tinga Train Wreck Nachos were served to us. We thought this was going to be a snack shared between the both of us. We got a large portion of tortilla chips, and they were just how I like them - not too thick and not too thin, crispy, not stale - so they held up without breaking to the gooey firmness of the hot melted and spicy queso dip. Four folded flour tortillas were included with this order. The queso dip, besides having a nice spicy kick to it, had shredded Chicken Tinga mixed in throughout, along with slightly crunchy white onion, tomato and cilantro. Overall, this was a delicious dip, and I highly recommend ordering this shareable "snack" to enjoy while you're watching sports on the big monitors. With the high level of service provided by the two bartenders, this definitely was an across-the-board 5-star experience! read more

I went here late after I got off work with some co-workers. The area is good, a lot of stuff around there. It's in a place that has a lot of little nooks and crannies so you can do a lot of restaurants or bar harping if you wanted to. Parking's free because it's a shopping center area so you don't have to worry about that. The establishment is pretty big, that's a very nice size to bar and there's indoor and small door seating as well. So depending on the weather you have options. I actually came for drinks, I've been to my coworkers. Got food. The drinks are actually reasonably priced. Considering the other places in the Atlanta area that are pretty high, if we came off pretty good. I wasn't really astounded or wild the service though. There were three of us and we all tried to order a bunch of shots, but after like 5 or 10 minutes she came back and said that we couldn't order all of those. But you couldn't tell us that when we ordered it originally? And we took our shots, the first round of them, and had to wait at least 10 minutes to get more. Like it doesn't take that long to take a shot nor does it take a long time to pour a shot. They were like green tea shots so it's not like they require a lot of wizardry actually LOL. But it was just a delay that Wasn't helpful. Also, the food that was ordered got given to the wrong table. And then the table that was next to us. I sat on outdoors. Got their food ahead of us. And I don't even think it was taking off the bill since it was like an extra 30 minutes or so before anybody got any food but it is what it is. We were hungry and our original choice was giving us such a terrible service we decided to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised...the service was top notch, including the food runner who was the nicest, sweetest and most respectful food service worker I've ever met. Our server was fast and attentive. The manager came over shortly after we got our food to check on us. The smash burger was expertly smashed and delicious. I'd pass on the medium wings but the lemon pepper were on point. The fries were crispy and delicious. With dozens of TVs and dozens of beers on tap, this might be my new go to spot to watch sports. read more

This is one of the WORST service oriented restaurants I have ever visited! First, the place had plenty of empty tables at 12:10 pm on a Tuesday before Christmas. Bad sign. Two of us ask the host and hostess to be seated. They looked at us as though we asked them a math equation they could not comprehend, as they had to huddle for literally three minutes to confer where to sit us in an empty restaurant. Only to be grunted at "you want a table top?" Fine, please seat us. Then, the fun begins. We get a waitress, who takes our drink and appetizer order. Teas and queso and chips. Not difficult. She must have been sucked into the void because we don't see her till the check comes at the end. Instead we inexplicably have a new trainee waiter, who seems as confused as we are by the situation, but he is very courteous. He brings our drinks and 15 minutes, yes, 15 minutes later, brings the chips and queso. In the meantime we have ordered wings and a sandwich wrap. We are there for over 20 minutes by now. We finish our appetizer, drinks are refilled, food will be right, we hear three times by now. 15 more minutes have gone by, three tables have come and gone. We see our original waitress and four other workers having a grand ol time at the host station just chatting away. Meanwhile, we have been at this place for 45 minutes and no lunch. Seriously, a wrap and wings?? Finally at 1:10 pm, an hour after getting there, without explanation, the food arrives. "Sorry it took so long." Uh, how about, we are comping your drinks and appetizer? The trainee was very good and polite. The waitress was nonexistent. The lazy hostess/host should be reprimanded. Not sure who the manager is at this place, but you need to seriously work with your people on customer service. I used to work in the food industry so I am pretty understanding and patient, but this was just blatantly bad service. Not much of a threat, but I won't be back and wasting my money or time at this place.
