We have been customers of taco RICO for many years. We had not been back for a couple of years and decided to go today for lunch. we ordered two wet burritos and were extremely disappointed that the menu on the wall display did not have the ingredients for the wet burritos. Unfortunately, neither of us can eat rice and we're surprised to find rice in our burritos. Had I known we would have requested our burritos without rice. The sauce on the burrito did not taste Mexican. It actually tasted Italian. We will be looking for a new Mexican restaurant in the area. The service was excellent, however. I initially didn't receive pico de gallo and had to ask for it, and although I ordered two fajita meals, I was only given one; a mistake I unfortunately didn't notice until I got home. Additionally, there was a customer ahead of me whose order took a very long time due to multiple unusual requests. During that time, staff waited on that one order instead of assisting other customers, which caused an unnecessary delay. I ordered takeout from Taco Rico after seeing their awesome lunch specials on their website, and I'm so glad I did! I got the chicken taco and burrito combo with rice and beans for just $10.99, which was a great deal! The combo also came with a small bag of tortilla chips and salsa. The portions were generous, and the food was ready right on time--pickup couldn't have been easier. Everything was hot, fresh, and seriously tasty. I ordered passion fruit juice and it was delicious. I had steak chimichurri tacos. Super greasy and not much flavor. The chimichurri sauce was tasty but without it just a greasy taco. Out of 3 I only ate 1. Refried beans and rice were basic. My bf had a steak burrito. Other than being over a foot long it was ok. Basic and not much flavor. I ate some of his and gave him my food. A very, very rude guy behind the counter. His name is Leonel. I was so upset by his behavior towards me when I was speaking too fast for him that I returned my food because I wasn't going to enjoy it because I was pissed. I don't get pissed easily and I understand that sometimes I can talk fast. People tell me hold on wait slow down or something to that. Unfortunately this place has changed. We use to be regulars. Been going since they opened. Loved it at first. Portions were great. Rice AND refried beans come on the same plate, splits down the middle. [[HIGHLIGHT]]How big is the size of the plate?? My wife had visited with her sister, and they liked the Mexican food here . I was surprised about this little , no frill's mall setting eatery blew me away with taste . The chicken in the fajitas was tender , the seasoning was great , it could have used more peppers and onions. I also enjoyed the taste of the refried beans as well as the rice they were good , rice was cooked well no lumps. I also enjoyed the guacamole it was chunky u could see red peppers spices would have like more . I had the 3 tacos Al pastor the pork was good seasoned well and the onions and cilantro were fresh as well as the tortillas . I could have eaten three more tacos .
