Corn dish
Marc S.

Took the whole family out for dinner at Taco Surf and had an awesome experience. The tacos, burritos and the chile rellano were amazing, and the corn dish was absolutely fantastic. Everything came out quickly, the service was fast, and the food was top-notch. Highly recommend if you're looking for great food and a fun, casual spot!

Favorite lunch spot when I'm in the area. Great lunch specials and outdoor seating. Go for a walk on the pier after munching on some tacos.

Classic dry bean and cheese burrito

Just like I remember! Used to come here every year for my birthday and remember how proud I was to finish the bean and cheese burrito in one sitting for the first time, ha! Still order the same thing, still as good as ever. Chips are fresh and salsa is perfect. Friendly staff and we were there until 5 mins before close. Love the beachy vibe and can't wait to come back

We were spending the afternoon at Seal Beach and came here after we realized our first choice was cash only. This is a cute little place right on main Street and seal Beach straight back from the pier. There's a bar and color lights and the Mexican paper garland. It's really pretty cute. The bathrooms are tiny but very clean. We got the last table inside, and our server was right there to help us. She brought us our drinks and some chips and salsa. They were nothing special. The chips needed salt and the salsa was okay, but not a whole lot of flavor and definitely not a whole lot of spice. We weren't very hungry so we ended up with smaller lunches. My son got a shrimp taco and an El pastor taco, and I got three chicken taquitos. All were good. The chicken taquitos had lots of fresh and juicy chicken. Our lunch was fine. We wanted Mexican and it hit the spot. I'm not sure I would raise back here, but I would stop here if I were in the area and wanted Mexican food.

Baja Fish Taco & Hang Ten Cocktail

Food 4/5 The food was quite good! I especially enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa. I ordered the fish taco, which was well-prepared and full of flavor. I also appreciated that it came with guacamole; it was a nice touch. Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal. Customer Service 5/5 Excellent customer service! The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience enjoyable. Ambience 4/5 The restaurant's location was great!! I loved that it was within walking distance of the beach and pier. While the inside was a bit dark, the overall atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. Cleanliness 4/5 The place was well-maintained, nothing to complain about. Wait Time 5/5 There was no wait for seating, and the food was served fairly quickly. Cost 5/5 I was very pleased with the cost of the food. Considering the restaurant's location, the prices were quite reasonable. I received a generous portion along with a drink, and the total bill was surprisingly affordable. They also offer a happy hour, which is a great bonus.

Had the best experience at Taco Surf, Seal Beach. Ciara and Sabrina were the best waitresses. I highly recommend the Ensenada Shrimp Tacos, they were out of this world! Beachy vibes. Will definitely be coming back soon.

Carne Asado Tacos

There were 6 of us for a family get-together visit in Long Beach. We decided to go out for dinner, and our niece recommended Taco Surf (their Seal Beach location) - and we're glad she did! Everything we ordered was delicious! I ordered the Carnitas de Puerco, my wife ordered Carne Asada Tacos, and the rest of us ordered a Bean and Rice Burrito and several assorted tacos: Ground Beef, Pork and Chicken, Shredded Beef, and Baja Fish. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed all the food, even commenting on how tasty and "authentic" the refried beans were. It's a small restaurant, and staff were very friendly and efficient; great service. Prices were very reasonable. Very highly recommended.

Service was great, Frank handled our large order at the bar no problem. Sabrina was very nice and helpful. Highly recommend. Salute.!!

Food was amazing. It made my regular Sunday feel special. Sabrina and Frank at the bar were over the top.

Frank and Sabrina were our servers at the bar, everything on point as fuck!! . Drinks flowing .and we loved the experience

Warm chips and great salsa before ordering.

Five stars all the way. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant and I've been their customer for years. The food is so good and the refried beans are always nice and hot. Today I had a great server named Sabrina. She was courteous, and checked up one me making sure I had everything I needed. I was alone and usually loners get ignored but not here. The ambiance is nice and casual, and walking distance to the pier and beach. I ordered the grilled chicken tacos with refried beans, plus chips. I'm so happy they're here in Seal Beach and within walking distance from my house. Thank you again Sabrina!

We do! You can check out our Taco Tuesday Menu here: www.tacosurf.com/tacotuesday

The hostess was so accommodating as we were undecided where to sit. Once seated our server, Steven, was attentive, as were all of the staff members. Fresh complimentary chips and salsa arrived quickly. I had the two item combination with a crunchy beef taco, and a chili relleno, all beans, no rice. My friend got the crunchy chicken taco and a chicken tamale with rice and beans. And a cup of albondigas soup. The beans were delicious, definitely made in house (always a good indicator of home made refried beans is the flavor and consistency). The crunchy taco was perfect with plenty of shredded beef, there was so much food I took home the chili rellano and half the beans. The restaurant is an acquaint, clean,, beautiful spot on Main Street. With both inside and outside seating. Being so close to Long Beach I forgotten about Avila's. I will definitely have to ride my bike over more often to grab a bite. Don't forget to ask for a side of the tomatillo sauce to dip your corn chips in, it's a change of pace from salsa (add'l charge, but worth it). So good!!!

If you want big portions, legit authentic food, and prices that won't personally offend you--this is your spot. The pork shank? Fall-off-the-bone, no-effort-required kind of delicious. The tacos are (I do wish they had à la carte instead of plates, but honestly their rice and refried beans slap so I'll allow it). The ceviche is basically an entrée disguised as an appetizer, and the chicken arroz soup hits every time. They bring out chips and salsa immediately (as they should), service is quick, and there's plenty of parking--which already puts them ahead of half the restaurants in SoCal.

Their Taqueria place is top notch so assuming the taste and the quality of food would be the same for their restaurant. I was greeted and wait time was 15 mins. Seated after and ordered Mexican sodas, water and adult beverages. All was very good. Chips and Salsa was served. This place is very gracious with their salsa! Not tight at all. Some places, they would just give you a tiny cup but this place is a complete opposite. For a party of 5, ordered our main entrees. Wet burritos, chilli rellenos, and assorted main dishes. Overall the quality of the food was superb. 90 percent of the food served was exceptional. The 10% is a different story. The chilli rellenos was not Mexican authentic. Who puts blue cheese inside a chilli rellenos. There is a hit and miss on their menu, this is definitely a miss on their restaurants. It tasted awful! Almost threw up. Two negatives that stood out. Chilli Rellenos and customer service. Our waitress will disappear for 10 to 15 minutes and we would have to constantly flag her down. I did not get her name, but she was young. She could of been alittle bit better to attentiveness. Overall I would come back. Depending what you order.. it is a hit and miss. Plenty of parking. Good location and nice ambiance. Friendly people.

The interior of the restaurant is also very beautiful. The bathrooms were too dark for my tastes though. Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal, super friendly and anticipating all of our needs (water refills, leftover containers, etc.). Service overall by all staff was friendly. We were actually presently surprised with the taste of the food, thinking it might be more Americanized but they actually had very authentic and tasty totopos (tortilla chips). The tomato salsa that came with the chips was also very refreshing. We asked for hot sauce too and the house habanero salsa really packed a punch! We ordered carne asada nachos, pork belly chilaquiles (from the brunch menu), a breakfast burrito, poke, and steamed clams. The steamed clams came in a rich tomato broth and the breakfast burrito was massive. The poke was just okay and the chilaquiles a bit too soggy for me, and the carne asada nachos a bit dry. Nonetheless, presentation and portion sizes were respectable. The last comment is that food here is quite pricey but that reflects the likely high rent of a restaurant in 2nd and PCH. Ola still exceeded expectations and provided a more than pleasant meal.

The shredded meat burrito was good, just the right amount of seasoning but the red beef burrito was too salty for us. The price of the burritos were $18 bucks each, pretty pricey for burritos.
