Came to Tacodeli for lunch on Sunday with a large group of friends after church; this new location had just opened and it was sold to us as a "less greasy" version of Torchy's Tacos, so of course we had to come try it out. There's a huge variety of tacos, and I was planning to order two, but couldn't choose between my final three so ended up just getting three instead: 1) their special of the moment, which was the akaushi chilled tenderloin taco with chile-forward portobello mole, queso fresco, green onion, and sesame seeds, 2) their Sunday special with no cilantro, which was the barbacoa with salsa de arbol, onion, and avocado, and 3) their carne asada taco with no cilantro, which came with grilled ribeye, avocado, onion, and a couple lime wedges. The barbacoa was definitely my favorite of the three! Flavorful and juicy, with a little kick to it. Their chilled tenderloin taco was definitely interesting, but I'm not sure if I would get it again. I wasn't too into the flavor combination there. And the carne asada's meat was good but came out pretty lukewarm even though it wasn't a specifically chilled taco -- it was also pretty dry. One of the people at our table got the queso, which was pretty mediocre, kind of watery and not super flavorful. I'd be interested in trying some of the other tacos on the menu (and the salads, actually -- a friend ordered the ensalada aguacate and they gave him an ENTIRE avocado in the salad) but honestly speaking other taco places in the metroplex are probably more worth your time. read more

For a quick stop - in and out, this is the place you want to be. The tacos are excellent and the free salsa's are great, mild medium and hot, usually the medium is hot enough for me. I much prefer this place to Fuzzys or Torcys, it's faster and less crowded. read more

Five stars today for lunch at Tacodeli. The cashier that took my order was being trained and the lady training her were both doing a good job. I ordered 2 tacos on corn shell. One veggie with sweet potatoes and the other chicken with mole. I would order both of these again. read more

We actually love to get breakfast tacos there but no matter what time you order them for pick up, they make them immediately and leave them on the counter to get cold. They fixed the problem for a month so I tried them again, but today they were barely warm at all and the cheese wasn't melted. If I go to pick up tacos it's because I'm busy and can't spend time cooking. I'm having to heat up everything. Waste of time! Please do better. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Tacos are my love language for sure and Tacodeli did NOT disappoint!! I love that all the ingredients are responsibly sourced and fresh! It definitely makes a difference in the overall taco. There is a whole menu of already thought up tacos for both breakfast and lunch but I liked the "Build Your Own" option. You can do from 2-4 ingredients of your choice. I had the BYO tacos with scrambled eggs (from Vital Farms!!), bacon, avocado, and pico de gallo. I topped it off with some of their Roja salsa and MMMMMMM delicious!! They definitely don't skimp on ingredients and I didn't even mind that some of the toppings fell out of my tacos. I just grabbed a fork and boom, it was like I had a breakfast scramble for a second meal! They have daily lunch specials and you can even use mobile order for an easy pick up. Just moved to the area and I pass this restaurant almost everyday so why not give it a try. It is super clean, and the ambiance is great. The customer service was really awesome as well. I love how big the menu is, like a million an one tacos to choose from. I ordered the Cowboy and the shrimposito. The Cowboy was really great although I was told I could not take off the onions. It was extremely flavorful. The Shrimposito wasnt good to me at all. And I wish I didnt get it. My boyfriend ordered the Mexico City Chicken. We both agreed that the chicken tasted really rubbery. Either the chicken was old or frozen I probably won't be back. It was good to try once. read more

This place was very good. All the 'house made' sauces are fantastic and very flavorful. The verde and habanero were my favorite. My lips were on fire afterwards though! Service was great. They were very accommodating to make changes to the tacos on the menu and even offered to make the tacos at a cheaper option when they could've charged the original value. The potatoes that came with the migas were disappointing though. It was mashed potato like. Flavor was good, a bit powdery, but they were so so soupy/runny. Other than that, this place was pretty fantastic! Would definitely be back, maybe a different location that is closer. This Austin chain finally arrives North Dallas. Tacodeli prides itself on fresh and local ingredients, which you can taste in their food. On my first visit to the newly opened Plano location I tried their brisket taco and one of the daily specials the Delibelly, a pork belly taco. The meat in the brisket kind of overtook the other ingredients and wasn't as balanced of a taco, I've had the Delibelly and think that it's one of my favorites. We also ordered guacamole and their special queso (Roberto's or something like that). The guacamole was all lime, which drowned out everything else, hopefully just a consequence of just opening. The queso was really good, it was made up of queso, ground beef, and some guacamole. Nice and cheesy but also filling with the ground beef. I also enjoy their chips, which are thicker and able to handle the heavy queso. The food while good can be pricey as tacos add up, so I like to order a breakfast taco with their regular tacos which tends to be cheaper. I like the Otto and Jess Special but have yet to try it at this location. Breakfast ends at 11am on weekdays and is served all day on weekends. All in all, I'm glad Tacodeli is finally so close to my house and will be back. read more

Good tacos, good salsa, good service! We had The Otto, Huevos Ahogados, Migas Taco, Frontera Fundido (sirloin), and a "daily special" Loco & Eggs. The Otto and the Frontera Fundido were the stand-outs, especially with the addition of some of the self-serve salsas available at the counter. These were on par with Torchy's breakfast tacos, which seems to be the closest competition for Tacodeli in the area. The others were not bad but not quite at Torchy's level (can you tell that I love Torchy's?) The young man at the counter was very nice and patient as we ordered for the first time. We look forward to returning to try out some of the lunch tacos! read more

I'm a huge fan of Tacodeli and this was not my first Tacodeli experience. However, this location did hold up and I'm glad that Park and Preston now have a location. I love their ingredients: local ( from over 20 Texas farmers, ranchers and fisherman), fresh (organic when possible and cage free eggs for breakfast) and responsible (sustainable meat and fish). I've tried breakfast tacos from lots of places (trust me, it's my jam) and I personally love Tacodeli the most. You could say I'm a Super fan. Lunch is great too! I love the daily specials and you should try abunch. If you're a first timer and not sure what to get for breakfast, migas or jess. If you're here for lunch - ask the cashier for their opinion or get one of the fundidos. It's really a personal preference, so read the menu - they are all good ! Tacodeli will always have a place in my heart. They are the absolute best for breakfast tacos. The Otto, Migas, Jess Special, and the Sirloin, Egg & Cheese... just to name a few of my favorites. I usually go to the locations in Dallas but decided to come to this new Preston & Park location for the first time. I came right around 10:50am so I could put in an order for 2 breakfast tacos and 2 lunch tacos seeing as they only do all day breakfast on weekends. The Otto was spot on and is amazing with their dona salsa. The sirloin in the Sirloin, Egg & Cheese must have spent a little too long on the grill as it was a bit tough. But that's ok... dousing the salsa dona and habanero on any of the tacos make them better. Be careful with that habanero one though, I have a high spice tolerance and it totally burns my tummy. I get a nice tingling sensation in my mouth from the habanero though. Soooo good. I also opted for the Tacoloco and the Al Pastor. They were both okay. I'll typically settle for legit street tacos when it comes to Al Pastor. I like to come on Sundays because their taco of the day is Barbacoa but seeing as it was a random weekday I had to settle for the other two I got. Either way, I highly recommend Tacodeli for all your breakfast taco cravings! read more

I came to this location for breakfast on a weekday and the place was very empty. I ordered 2 different breakfast tacos and chips & queso. The food came out really fast and looked delicious. The breakfast tacos were good, but not as good as the lunch tacos! Those are easily my favorite and are full of flavor. I love eating in the restaurant because I get to use as much doña salsa as my heart desires! My favorite is mixing the doña salsa with the queso (I can't be the only one who does this, right??). All in all, I love this place for lunch. I will definitely be back! read more

The others in the group were happy about carna asada and the special of the day delibelli pork taco. Definitely worth the price and the cost if you are in Dallas. I absolutely love Tacodeli. They have such fresh ingredients with a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. It's only my 2nd time eating here but each time the tacos were superb. The employees are always so nice, helpful, and friendly plus the restaurant is always clean when when it's been busy. If I could eat here everyday I would and I wouldn't feel bad about it because it's inexpensive and they have tons of healthy options. This morning I ordered the El Popeye, the Jess and the Huevos Ahogado tacos. I love their salsa verde too, which they make fresh every day.. all of their salsas to be exact. Heard a lot of good things so tried it out today to support our kid's school fundraiser. Online system: We used it for a pick up order. LOVED the ease of the system but very disappointed in what actually was prepared. No onions means no onions. Two ruined taco's in our order of 6 as I am allergic to onions. Sorry, I know mistakes happen but SLOW DOWN and make the order right. We spent $40, make the food right. Taco's themselves. Pretty Good ! I will try them again for sure. First time to visit Taco Deli, and I have to say it won't be the last! We were greeted at the door by Sarah who welcomed us and and offered menu suggestions based on our personal preferences. The staff was very friendly and even came out to give us a run down on the soda options (not your standard Coke and Pepsi offerings). We ordered for carry out today, and the service was a bit slower than I had hoped, but not horrible given it was the lunch rush. I ordered the scallop tacos that were a special item today (fantastic!) and the Cowboy a dry-rubbed beef tenderloin taco which was very tender and flavorful. The Guac is fantastic, but does have a bit of a kick, so for those that are afraid of fire, beware. All in all, some of the best tacos and guac I've had in a while, and I wholeheartedly recommend Taco Deli to anyone looking for something more than your neighborhood taqueria. read more

How to I say this... Its really... Different... Tacodeli had really amazing sauces, pazole (a bit pricey for how much you got though.) and a really nice soda selection. But the tacos were kind of.... How to I say this, they-didn't-meet-the-hype. That being said, I am not saying they were bad. Except I didn't really like how smokey tasting the Shrimpostio tasted. They had fresh ingredients, and you can tell that the employees really care about the food their making and how they put them together. And I really admire that about Tacodeli. But the tacos I ordered were kind of meh. And I know this sounds bad but I would probably choose taco bell over the tacos I ordered. Now this does not say that I wouldn't try it again. They did hit the spot on a few things like their pazole. But I think it might have been one of those instance where I ordered food that, seemed like I would like it; but I really didn't. Another thing is that the tacos were kind of expensive.. $4-$6 per taco is kind of asking a lot from a girl who can eat like a box of tacos and then maybe her brothers tacos. (Shhh he won't know if I tell him the box only comes with that many) Bottom Line: I didn't really enjoy my first experience, food wise, but I would try it again.. Terribly run store. Went with the family @2 on Saturday: - Out of iced tea and never made more while we dined in. Thats all we wanted because the fountain drinks are custom and no good. - bathrooms were trashed and disgusting - uncomfortably cramped inside space with very small tables - paid $43 for 5 tacos/med queso/side salad/3 drinks - queso served with ice cold chips (on purpose) - only 2 of the 5 tacos we're good, queso and salad was good - meat quality is good Won't be back to tacodeli. read more
