Just had the lengua (tongue) burrito today and it was amazing! I give top compliments to the chef. They have friendly staff to greet you and sit you if you are dining in. My only feedback is I want more and wish the meat can be more bigger so I am not overwhelmed by the amount of rice I t eh burrito. However, I get it lengua can be expensive. Found this place tonight and what a pleasant surprise. It was a soft opening for them and we just had to try it. They have $9.95 combo plates of 2 tacos rice and beans and a drink. What a deal. The food is really good and the service is even better. We also had the corn elote. (Hope I said that right). Just like street corn. I can't wait to tell everybody about this place. Came here for lunch brews with some coworkers and the service was insane. They brought us chips and salsa on the house and brought us waters because it's a hot day. First off reading the few negative reviews of this place, complains about the portion size, well all I can say is shut up and go eat at Crappo Bell if all you want is large portions. Now my assessment of the place is this, price wise they are about in line with everyone else. The staff is very motivated to make this place a success, all the ingredients are there for that. We were going to get some fish and chips next door and we saw a crowd around this place and decided to check it out. I ordered the militias asada and got the combo plate. It came with rice and beans. The rice was good, the beans not so much. But the militias was wonderful and flavorful, the streak was cooked just right, I also highly recommend the corn on the cob! Very good! You also get a drink with free refills. I chose the the Horchata. Wow!! BUENO!!!!! I could have filled up on that. The decor reminds you of a street restaurant in TJ. Seating indoors, and a nice patio outdoors. No shortage of wait staff, our order took a little bit of time, and they apologized profusely, but I get it, it's a soft open and they are getting their staff into a cohesive team. We will definitely be back, and I hope they are successful! We need more places like this than the corporate crap that's on every corner! Try this place out you will like it. For the two of us it was about 36.00, I paid 20.00 last week for a Carl's Jr combo meal that was crap. So I'll take quality over quantity every day! This place it's great. It's not only colorful, but the food is great. I had the quesadilla and it was amazing. The meat was well cooked and they put alot of guacamole on the quesadilla. They do not skip on it and that's a plus on my book. The mango habanero margarita is also very good. It has just the right amount of spice and the chamoy rim they use is really great! The best dish I had, however, were the adobada wings. The wings here are made in the grill and are just delicious! I will definitely be back at this place. read more
