On a Sunday afternoon at 12 noon in July, my family and I came here for lunch. Luckily we found parking spot in front of restaurant. I love the old school vibe inside the restaurant. We passed by the freshly made cinnamon rolls on the counter which looked good. We got seated on the round table near the restroom. The menu says breakfast all day or lunch. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich with fries and water. Our beverage server got our waters. Then our waitress came and took our orders. Other tables ordered pancakes which looked really good. The chicken pesto sandwich was really good with juicy chicken breast and thick fries was good too. Couple of times we had to flag the beverage server for refilling water. We paid at the cashier near the doors. Very good value on food.

After YEARS of living in Burbank... HOW have I never been to Talleyrand Restaurant?! Came back for a visit today and WOWWWW... this place is the real deal. The location is perfect for locals and anyone cruising through town, but the REAL magic is the people serving in there. Fast, friendly, welcoming, and just good vibes all around. Marisa was an absolute gem Now let's talk FOOD because babyyyyy... Petite Steak with veggies, cooked just right New York Steak with mashed potatoes, COMFORT FOOD LEVEL 100 BLT with avocado, fresh and stacked perfectly Breakfast burrito, dangerousssss good Pot roast dinner , tasted like somebody's grandma put love in it Came hungry, left HAPPY, FULL, and already planning my return for that good ole turkey dinner If you've never been, don't wait as long as I did. This is a really neat restaurant. It is much bigger than it looks. We sat downstairs where it is very dark with a bar and a cool vibe. Upstairs had plenty of room and lots of light. This place looks like its out of a old movie. We were disappointed because we were looking for breakfast. We were under the impression that breakfast ended at 1:00pm. I guess they stop serving breakfast closer to 11:30. We even saw people eating breakfast. We got a strong no on breakfast due to kitchen rules. I ordered a chicken sandwich. It was alright. My bf had the double decker which he said was good. Service was friendly. Parking is tight in front but wraps around the back.

I am a big fan of the old school dining rooms and these days they are hard to find. Don't get me wrong the culinary scene brings so many different flavors, fusions and recipes for the palate but there is nothing like delicious comfort food especially served with old school charm. We were greeted by warm friendly staff who sat us in the dining room and not long after the dining area began filling up with patrons and quite a few regulars. The staff knew some of them by name or their regular orders. For a server to recognize a customer and talk to them and care for them is what Juan S. Did. He was our server and was so nice, friendly and helpful especially this being our first time dining at Tallyrand. Attentive to all of the tables in our immediate area, conversing with the regulars and caring for them while listening to them. Our food was outstanding, a good sized menu offering various house specialties and all looked amazing. We went with the Turkey dinner and it was fabulous, like having Thanksgiving dinner without having to cook and clean up. Salad or soup option for starters that came with incredible fresh hot sourdough bread before the entree arrived. Good sized portions at reasonable prices served hot and tasting just like home. We had to go with the famous house baked peach pie à la mode and try a cup of coffee. Both spectacular as well. The perfect trifecta, starting with great service by Juan S. In a fabulous old school charm dining room that made you feel like home and completing it with outstanding food. "Justa like my mama's kitchen" Tallyrand you brought back the sincerity of days long gone. You also gained two new regulars that will be back to explore and taste your menu Bravissimo e tutti delizioso. Mangiamo

This is a charming restaurant. It has diner counter seating at the front as well as booth and table seating on either side. The restaurant is more spacious than it looks. I came here for lunch w work colleagues and we got Indy dog seated. However I will say from ordering to the food coming out, it took almost 30+ minutes. I got the popular turkey melt and added lettuce and tomato. It was a tasty sandwich and well made. The turkey was delicious and bread was toasted nicely. The fried arent my fave style of fries tho. lol! Parking is free and plentiful in the lot.

MIXED REVIEWS FOR DINNER ======================== My husband and I and two of our friends met for dinner on Sunday, December 7th. I worked and lived in Burbank years ago, but I don't think I had ever been there. My husband had not been there. Our friends like it and they recommended it. I did my research on Yelp ahead of time and decided on the turkey dinner. I loved it. My husband decided on the chicken fried steak and he hated it. That was the kiss of death as far as he's concerned. I will have to go back with friends sans husband. Our friends were happy with the dishes they chose. One picked the fried chicken and the other a salad. I absolutely loved the sourdough bread.

The Tally has a special place in my heart, so this is a somewhat bias review. That being said, the food is solid, the service efficient and friendly and the ambiance is of a bygone era - awesome! Request a seat in the bar, to me, the heart of Tallyrand. Here's where my dad had many a 3 martini lunch from the 60s through the 80s. He explained to me, on a special day I got to shadow him "at work," that the layout of Tally bar is perfect for business lunches. 'I can be close to the back door exit, while keeping an eye on the front door if my boss walks in.' So once a year Hubs and I come to the Tally to raise a glass to Dad and enjoy a classic meal done perfectly since 1959. Tonight, I was in the mood for one of their hand carved steaks. A beautiful 30oz New York Angus, seared and delivered perfectly Rare/Medium (I like more rare than medium, but enjoy a good sear). It came with choice of side(steamed veggies for me), and salad or scratch made daily soup(chicken noodle tonight). I requested some A1 sauce, but a perfect sauce doesn't need it and I didn't use it. The steak was seasoned perfectly with just salt & pepper. Chef's kiss! Hubs went with the classic pot roast dinner, opting for a baked potato over the fresh daily mashed potatoes and house made gravy. He also enjoyed the chicken noodle soup. Our dinners also have an option of a loaf of sourdough or muffin - all baked fresh daily. These muffins are SO GOOD! You'll be asked if you prefer the muffin to go, which I've elected to do previously because it's a great treat in the morning for breakfast, but tonight I wanted that delicious, moist carrot cake muffin with my dinner. Hubs opted for the sourdough - also very delicious! ;) We didn't have room for dessert, which they are also known for, but left full, satisfied and looking forward to another meal in the near future. Hubs has his eye on the pot roast quesadilla next. Cheers! "CC"

It's my first time ever eating at that place While the parking lot was full, and the place was super packed I don't know if it's because the rain I attracted everybody here inside or because it's just delicious and good I know this is a landmark in Burbank. It's been around for a long time. I ordered the "giant Reuben sandwich" for $17.50: corn beef, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut on a grilled sourdough bread It comes with French fries: the large and thick style. Food is just ok, and the atmosphere is your typical American coffee shop...

I love this place. Is it Michelin quality? No. Has it been renovated in 50 years? Don't think so. But is it charming, is the food fresh and comforting, and are the waitstaff smiling from ear to ear? Yes. I had the turkey dinner. "Homemade" mashed potatoes seems a bit of a stretch but I will say that overall, it's good and not dry turkey, tons of food, and it all goes together well. The salad was more lettuce on a plate, but the ranch was good and the sourdough was warm. It's good prices for the amount, a server who seemed genuinely happy to be there and excited for the food she served, and the noise level made it so I could actually hear my friend speak --rare in a restaurant now!

Service is notably great! Everyone is so friendly and works together. Cute little spot that's not so little. I can't believe I didn't know about it! Good coffee and yummy food. We tried their famous fried chicken plate that comes with mashed potato and coleslaw... it is famous for a reason! We also ordered the chicken tenders dinner plate. It was okay - the breading was a little too thick and the fries with a little bland. Blueberry muffins are a must try.

    Lunchtime!

Had the tuna melt with fries and a slice of chocolate cake. The tuna melt was good and think cut fries were excellent. The chocolate cake (Bundt cake) was dry and not something I would order again. My sister ordered the blackened chicken sandwich which was very tasty. They have clam chowder which I wanted to try but I decided on the sandwich. I would return again to try other entrees .

Go to breakfast and brunch restaurant when I'm in Burbank. This place is an institution coffee shop diner family restaurant. Super friendly service and great American family restaurant food. Super busy so prepare to wait in the morning but well worth it! Great breakfast and omelette plus large lunch and dinner menu. They are famous for their fired chicken which is the bomb!

    Delicious Breakfast burrito

TLDR: delicious pancakes, amazing king burrito, classic diner feel, friendly staff, reasonable price, indoor and outdoor seating One of the best breakfasts and pancakes I've ever had - this family-owned place should be at the top of your list in Burbank!!! There's a joyful vibe when you walk in the door. Tallyrand has a classic and perfectly welcoming American diner feeling. And the food matches the excellence of the family-friendly vibe. I shared the #7 pancake meal and the King Burrito, both of which were excellent. The warm syrup and buttery and fluffy buttermilk pancakes were a standout - this place has perfected their pancake recipe (which makes sense since they've been operating since 1959!). The burrito was delicious and came with a homemade salsa. I recommend the savory/sweet breakfast, but if you don't get pancakes I have to say the warmed-up homemade cappuccino chip muffin is a DELICIOUS choice too!! Prices were incredibly reasonable and worth every penny! The place is family-owned and operated and is on its 3rd generation of family ownership. The staff have a fun and joyous camaraderie with each other and they were so pleasant and fun. There are obviously a lot of regulars who stop by here too - the waiters are on a first name basis with many of the customers! Lots of families and kids enjoying it too in the indoor and outdoor seating. I can't recommend this place enough. If you are in Burbank (or LA county) - this is THE BEST diner in the area. I can't wait to come back for lunch and dinner!

First, their cafe de olla is absolutely delicious. This remains one of the only places where I genuinely enjoy ordering cafe de olla. Second, their food is incredible. They serve excellent portions, everything tastes fresh, and the food is just so good. I've had their taquitos and chilaquiles, and both were delicious. The only downside is that every time I've come, there has usually been a bit of a wait, especially because the restaurant itself is pretty small with limited seating. The inside is cute, but small, so we usually end up sitting outside. This is where their Monrovia location does have the advantage because it has much more space. Parking can also be tricky. Good luck finding a spot close enough where you don't have to walk far. We usually end up parking in the residential area around the corner. That said, the staff are wonderful and always try to be as accommodating as possible despite how busy they are. Highly recommend this place if you're okay with possibly waiting a bit for seating. My friend and I went into this Cafe De Olla on the 17th of this month at 2pm. She met me there and lives in Burbank. I have been here once, I believe back in 2018. It was pretty solid in every way. We were warmly greeted by Erick--the host, standing by the podium and right away he got us a seat inside. After like 5 minutes, Elsa, our server approached us to take our order. My friend and I both felt like we were being rushed through our meal. Food came out hot and quick. We opted for a few of their dishes. Tacos Mananeros, came with 4 tacos ($18.95), with 4 complimentary sauces. 2 of the sauces were very spicy and Elsa didn't warn us. We also got the Veggie Omelette with tomatoes, onions, spinach, mushrooms, Jack cheese, topped with avocado and a side order of hash browns. They made the hash browns perfectly. Told her nice and crispy on the top and that's what we got. (18.95). We also shared their French Toast topped with Strawberry, Blueberries, and Blackberries. ($16.95) topped with lots of Whipped Cream (which I love) and a side of syrup. We needed to add more syrup to make the French Toast more moist. The French Toast was a bit dry for our liking. Even the people sitting next to us who ordered the same thing were saying the same. On the flip side, the other 2 dishes tasted fresh and delicious. Great portions for the prices. We also got this drink called Powerful from their smoothies section of the menu. It was called Green Smoothie. Ingredients were the following: blueberries, honey, Greek Vanilla yogurt, avocado and Almond milk. It was simply very refreshing and delicious. My friend wanted some sort of Latte, Espresso, Americano, etc..but they didn't have any of those drinks. All they had was regular & decaf coffee. At first, I asked for Cranberry juice, and Jose, said they only had Apple and Orange juice. We found it a bit odd not to have any of those drinks. Going back to our server Elsa, she was a bit aloof and forgetful. I asked for a bowl of fruit, and it never made it to our table. After we were done eating, I asked for two to-go boxes and a bag, she forgot that too. We had to ask the other employees to get them for us. The same with to-go containers for our sauces. She forgot to bring napkins too. Jose, (our busboy), needs a raise and promotion! This young man read all the ingredients on the Taco menu which came with: bacon & egg, chorizo with potato & eggs, machaka/eggs, & nopaitos/eggs. The writing in their menu was very small. Another server by the name of Angel, truly was an angel. Checked on us while Elsa was taking orders over the phone. They have another location in Monrovia, a gender neutral restroom, place was very clean. Inside was small. It had 10 tables and nice couches with cozy, inspirational decor and pillows. Lovely music playing over head with a nice patio seating. Will I return? Yes, but not anytime soon! Also check for their business hours..

It was like stepping back in time. Once we entered, we let the host know about our reservation, and we were sat in one of their iconic dining booths within 10 minutes, which wasn't too bad of a wait. It was quite busy and understandable as it was a Saturday night. The ambience was dark and romantic, and not pretentious at all. The prices were also quite affordable, which was really nice. Especially if you're on a budget. However, the food was average in my opinion. I would say, it was great for the price, but it wasn't high quality. The service was great. Prompt and attentive. Overall, I would come back here for the ambiance. Not so much for the food. They have live jazz music on the weekends, so it would be fun to come back for that.

You could see the teamwork between the servers and support staff throughout the restaurant. Everyone we interacted with was polite, friendly, attentive, and professional, even though the restaurant was incredibly busy. I also wanted to give special recognition to a manager/supervisor working during brunch. I unfortunately didn't catch his name, but he was wearing a flat/newsboy-style cap, so hopefully the restaurant knows who I'm referring to. We happened to witness him dealing with a particularly demanding guest who was extremely unhappy with where his party for three had been seated. The guest repeatedly complained about having made a reservation and wanting to sit in a different, quieter section, and became increasingly loud and upset with the manager. What impressed us was how incredibly calm, patient, and professional the manager remained throughout the entire interaction. He never became defensive or matched the guest's tone. He simply continued trying to resolve the situation and de-escalate it while keeping things comfortable for everyone around them. The restaurant was PACKED for Sunday brunch, including a full waiting area, and many of us had reservations.. our party included. There are only so many tables and sections available in a busy restaurant, and a reservation can't always guarantee one particular table or area. I thought this manager handled a very difficult situation exceptionally well and deserved recognition for it. I know how difficult it can be to maintain that level of composure when someone is directing their frustration at you. He handled himself beautifully. Wonderful food, wonderful service, great teamwork, and a staff that clearly knows how to take care of its guests. We had a fantastic brunch and will absolutely be back!

The servers brought out water dishes and treats on a silver tray for the dogs- true service! I missed happy hour, but tried a themed cocktail, the onion rings, and the truffle burger. It was all great! My friends and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food and our server was great. It seemed like a lot of regulars were there, which helped contribute to the overall good vibes. That says a lot about the staff. Our server, she was a young lady, was on top of everything and really made our time here enjoyable. I came here for happy hour on a Tuesday was surprised to find out they do $2 tacos and $5 margaritas. Let me tell you, the tacos are delicious and the margaritas are STRONG. It's a hell of a good time. I really enjoyed the chicken taco and carne asada taco. The meats were juicy and very flavorful. I also ordered their nachos, chili cheese fries and bread pudding. The nachos were made perfectly with the chips being thin and crispy. They used a couple different cheeses and the jalapeños were a nice touch. Definitely ordering it again, I can do without the chili cheese fries. It was good but it wasn't amazing. Their bread pudding was HUGE and I can see why it's one of the popular items here. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft and gooey in the inside. Morrisons is definitely a fun place to be. Perfect to enjoy happy hour, catch the games on, and hang out friends. They have plenty of seating inside and outdoor with heat lamps. They are dog and kid friendly as well
