This review is for their take out service to eat Ordered the Brisket Seollangtang, because I was in the mood for some noodles and something soupy. It came with a container of rice, green onions, sides of banchan like fishcake, broccoli, kimchi and soy sauce pickled onion, the smallest serving of noodles and bone broth. The portion of broth was perfect with the rice but the amount of noodles was comical, it was about a soup spoon full of noodles. They provided banchan but failed to provide salt and pepper. Their kimchi is on the saltier side. Seollangtang needs to be dressed up to your preferences or else it'll be on the bland side.

A few slices of thin beef brisket was given as well. Definitely not the best Seollantang or take out I've had. The price was steep for the meal. Would recommend ordering something else if you do opt for take out. Ordering however...

I come here a lot for yuk gae jang but also the sulleongtang beef brisket soup. It is so comforting and one portion is two meals for me. There is a generous amount of banchan that is high quality. I will always come when I'm in the area.

Plenty of free parking on a Sunday around noon. The retardant wasn't too busy upon arrival, but did start to fill up within 30 minutes of being seated. was greeted immediately and seated. Our server was very prompt. The restaurant didn't feel too loud once it began to fill up. Good was delivered very promptly after we ordered. Loved the pork bulgogi. Our rice was slightly on the mushy side, but was fine once we paired it with the tofu soup. Loved the green onion pancake and Banchan. Great flavors. Hearty portions.

Tang Tang Tang has become Tang Jip. The interior remains unchanged but the menu has been revamped. We went on a rainy afternoon after all the other Korean restaurants take their break. Since they are open all day Tang Jip catches all the overflow. During our lunch they were at least 50% full. Their staff including the robot was trying to keep up with all the orders. The menu has most of the Korean classic items. We ordered the following Sul lung tang 4 stars just ok Seafood pancake 5 stars large portion lots of seafood crispy edges Jap Chae 4 stars ok Service was ok considering how busy it was . Food from the kitchen did take some time to get out. Plenty of parking in the park n save shopping center.

Their lunch special rate is a pretty good deal especially if you're hungry. Their prices are not overly expensive and their menu is enough to have different options. The places just opened when I came in a few days ago so I was the first customer. Their restrooms are at the back by the kitchen, it's just one hallway so you won't miss it. Food wise, my soup was great, paired with rice. They only have white rice. As for their sides, I enjoyed most of it but the kimchi and raddish were overly fermented. The food was carried one of those like Bellabots then served to the table by the staff. The restaurant is in a plaza so there's plenty of parking

After a long day of afternoon golf my friends and I decided on dinner as nearby Tang Jip. One of my friends frequents this restaurant as he works close by in Walnut Creek. Parking near the restaurant is more than ample so it was quite easy. The restaurant itself was quite crowded for a Sunday evening. Eventually the crowd moved on. Service was excellent and the food was very good. We ordered the seafood pancake, an army stew and a double order of the pork belly. My only complaints are the army stew seemed lacking in terms of meat and the seafood pancake lacked in the amount of seafood. The pork belly on the other hand was the most excellent. The ban chan was also limited to 5 items only. I am curious of some of the other dishes and would not mind checking them out at a later time.

Concord used to have a handful of Korean restaurants back in the late 90s, but the Park & Shop complex now has three! Among them, Tang Jip has easily become our favorite. Korean cuisine is not limited to barbecue, and that is what Tang Jip represents. They have tang, jjim, jjigae, myeon, and more. Japchae - It's really difficult not to try some of those chewy and delicious sweet potato noodles! This had a good balance between the sugar and the soy flavors and had the right amount of sesame oil. It also had wood-ear mushrooms so we really enjoyed the chewy texture of this dish. Soon Tofu (Soondubu) and LA Galbi Combo - This was the first combo dish that we tried here and it was very good especially for the price. The beef ribs were well-marinated and were grilled medium-well while the soft tofu stew was flavorful. Perfect way to try two dishes right away. We wanted to get the Naengmyeon and LA Galbi Combo, but the japchae already took care of our noodle craving. Bossam - One of the reasons we love Tang Jip is because they have small portions of bossam (boiled pork belly) and jokbal (braised pork trotters) in their menu. Since it was just my wife and me who ate the first time we went here, we decided to go with the bossam. The pork belly was thinly sliced and had a very small amount of fat. It was already tasty, but the accoutrements it came with - radish (both the sweet and the spicy salad), garlic/jalapeño, lettuce, ssamjang, and the salted shrimp - made this even more enjoyable. We tried a lot of combinations wrapping the pork and it was best with the musaengchae (spicy radish salad), garlic, and the ssamjang. We ended up getting the Naengmyeon and LA Galbi Combo on our next visit and their Bibim Naengmyeon (spicy cold buckwheat noodles) was very refreshing on a hot summer day. We also got to try a small serving of their Jokbal and I liked this more than the bossam because it was cooked with the skin on and the gelatinous texture was amazing. It was also more aromatic and had a richer flavor. The Garlic Bossam was fine, but I preferred fresh garlic over the garlic paste. We've been back a few more times with our daughters and son-in-law and also with our friends. Service has always been very friendly and accommodating. The place is clean and roomy so there's more wiggle room for everyone. Maybe the parking can be a bit of a challenge at times, but we've always enjoyed coming here. It would have been great if we had Tang Jip when we lived near the area, but it will always be a good reason to swing by this neck of the woods occassionally.

May have found my new favorite spot! Stopped by for a quick lunch for 1 & couldn't have been happier. The place is very clean, it was pretty quiet in there. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. I ended up getting a lunch special... beef bulgogi + soondubu. The food was so flavorful & the soup is probably one of the best I've had! My daughter was invited to a birthday party at Urban Air and so we came here for lunch afterwards. We were starving when we came around 2:30 and surprisingly, the place was pretty busy even at this time. My daughter got the rose tteokboki and it was delicious, not too spicy and the tteok was tender, chewy, perfectly cooked and it was the long tteok that's so fun to eat, almost noodle like. The tofu soup wasn't very impressive, I found the depth of flavor in the broth was lacking. It wasn't as spicy as I'd hoped it'd be, even though I ask for it extra extra spicy. I would love to come back and try their other stews, it seems like a popular place. The service was great and they have the robots that come out with the food. The service was good and ambience is very nice. Definitely recommend, but maybe don't get the tofu soup.

Neither my wife or I have ever had Korean food before and I had some "InKind" credit and I saw they accept it, so we decided to give it a try. Our waiter took the time to explain things to us, again, we are now to the food and made some suggestions. We had the beef Bulgogi and noodle / beef dish that I cannot remember the name of, both were very good. They bring out 5 small side dishes along the the items you order. Tang Jip is one of those restaurants where you crave a specific dish that you can't find just anywhere, for me, it's the rosé tteok-boki. Craving satisfied as of now. We also ordered items that I haven't tried yet, which were pretty good & I'd definitely get again: 1) kimchi pancake 2) chicken bulgogi I was initially worried that the chicken would be dry, but it was great! The kimchi pancake was delicious as well, especially with their dipping sauce. As for service, they usually have two guys taking orders, so there is sometimes a wait -- Especially for today, a Friday night. Additionally, there seems to be some operational work for the restaurant to look into: One customer came in right before us and they happened to add themselves to the Yelp Waitlist, however, when you arrive, there is also a paper waitlist being maintained. So this made it quite confusing for both the host and customer around when to slot them in for a seat. Fortunately, several tables opened up. I do like this restaurant! But I'd definitely go during lunch hours when there are way less people.

Saw this place today after trying Korea house down the way last week. Everything looked really nice inside and they have a cool little robot that helps the servers carry your order to you. We ordered one of the combos, the tofu soup and bulgogi along with an order of bimbimbap. Usually, the bimbimbap is served on a ripping hot plate so that it can form a nice crunchy bottom from the rice. This rice came in pretty wet. Therefore no crunchy bottom . The bulgogi is also usually suppose to come in ripping hot as well. Well, this one came in warm. They may have some other orders that were better, but I think we came in on an "off" day and it just didn't live up to the hype the decor brought to the place.

I love this place! It's in the Park-N-Shop plaza with a bunch of other Korean restaurants but I feel like it's just a solid lunch/dinner choice. Definitely can be a wait during weekend dinner times too. I believe this is owned by Ohgane KBBQ but they don't offer AYCE, just a variety of other Korean dishes like soondubu, seolleongtang, ddukbokki, and bbq plates. The service is quick, friendly and there's a robot that comes out to help with food too. There's a good variety of bonchon and prices are average for the area. Definitely a great place to check out.

We had a great meal here. I can see how easy it is to over order though. We had the Galbi Tang noodle soup and the seafood tofu soup. With dudes and rice, it was plenty to eat. The Galbi Tang has a nice full flavor without being salty. Tender beef off of the bone (use the scissors at the table)! This would be perfect hangover soup - flavorful! The seafood tofu soup had lots of seafood and arrived boiling away. Sides were just a few but pretty big portions. Some K-pop playing and a two screens of music videos but the audio and video were not connected. Overall, I really like this place. Clean, fast, and well-lite restaurant perfect for lunch. My friend and I both got the lunch special, chicken and tofu soup and kalbi and tofu soup. Kalbi was better than chicken, which was a little stuck on the sizzling plate. The Banchan was solid, from turnips, fish cakes, to kimchi. The entrees came on a machine - and the wait stuff put it on our table. Pretty neat! Would definitely come back to this place with amble room for guests. read more

Came in for dinner on Father's Day and it was busy however the wait was about 10-15 minutes. Staff were very busy but they were still attentive and offered great service. My family ordered japchae, pork silken tofu soup, and a medium galbi-jjim with added rice cakes and cheese. Everything was so flavorful and tasted delicious. The food at Tang Jip was good, but I wouldn't recommend bringing young children here. There are no changing tables or areas in either of the bathrooms, and they don't offer cups with straws for kids or a kids' menu. On top of that, the restaurant was extremely understaffed. I understand it was busy, but our waitress was neither warm nor helpful when we had questions. When our food and appetizers were dropped off, the staff left so quickly that I couldn't even ask for simple things like extra napkins or an additional plate. It's a shame, because the food was decent, but given the lack of attention and amenities, I won't be returning. I'd recommend they hire more staff, and staff who are willing to be more attentive and helpful. read more

i ordered beef soondubu jjigae extra spicy and unfortunately did not like it very much. maybe i just ordered the wrong thing by mistake, but it tasted like they poured an entire bottle of gochugaru into it. i LOVE spicy foods. i want things very spicy, but not at the cost of masking/ruining the overall flavor. this is what i feel has been done here. i don't think this level of spice should be offered if the dish will be ruined. i've ordered the highest level of spicy at other korean restaurants for this dish and they never went THIS crazy with the pour of gochugaru. i dont, however, want to knock down a small korean owned business because of how i ordered one dish. as i walked out, i saw tteokbokki at another table that looked absolutely delicious. & saw other things like ox bone soup go by and it looked tasty. i would not recommend getting extra spicy even if you like spicy food. in my opinion, it hid all of the flavor and made it inedible. i would be back to try other dishes. read more

Food is always good whenever I go. The Bandhan is delicious and we always end up getting like 3 rounds of it. As a non beef eater my go to is the chicken or spicy grilled pork. Can't go wrong with either or. Sometimes chicken may be dry so often go with spicy pork for the zing. Service is good too. The waitresses are super attentative and fill the side dishes quick when requested. The interior is nice. Seating is split into 2 long sections and it can get packed when super busy. read more

My mother & I wanted ramen but some how we ended up at Tang Jip. It was a last minute decision, I went online to Yelp to read the reviews. Tang Jip had pretty good reviews so we decided to eat there for dinner. It's Tuesday night at around 7:45 pm the restaurant wasn't crowded. There were about 6 other ppl there not including my mother & I. The restaurant was pretty spacious and clean. I already had an idea of what I wanted to order. My mother & I both ordered Soon Tofu Soup, I had mine with beef, she had hers with kimchi. I also ordered a Scallion Pancake for her and I to share. My mother and I both agreed the Soon Tofu Soup & Scallion Pancake were both 10/10 I would recommend the Restaurant and both of the dishes we ordered. This is my favorite korean spot. Taste is very consistent. Everything is delicious but my favorite id the Bosam and the galbi tang!!!!!!!! Yuuummm!!!!! Me and my husband always come here all the time. I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends. Sean is the BEST, he always make sure that we are doing ok and always ask if we need anything. His smile says everything. Inside is very clean and nice. Restaurant is clean and has a good atmosphere. It is a nice touch that they have wet wipes on the tables as the food leans towards the spicier side. But it's good quality and tasty. The side dishes and appetizers are really large, so be careful that you don't over order. I shared one appetizer and one lunch special and we had leftovers for another meal as we had tons of side dishes that filled us up. Only feedback I'd leave is that the meat dish lunch specials are all paired with the tofu soup. One of our fav places. Usually order on DoorDash. However wanted to save a few bucks so ordered via phone for pickup using their website lunch menu. However upon arriving at restaurant for 3 item was $100!!! Again, for their lunch menu. Was told price wasn't correct on THEIR own website. SMH. Was Thanksgiving evening. Wait was only 3 groups in front and it went quickly. Got seated ok and waited a bit to get our order taken. Food cane pretty quick via the Robot cart, the server assisted by removing the dishes and placed then on the table. Food portions were a good sized and prepared well. Taste and presentation was good. The restaurant was clean and well lit. About what you would expect for ambiance in a strip mall location. What I found or disliked was the servers seem cold or unttentive to us. They only spoke to us to ask for our order. Didn't hear a peak the rest of the meal. Concord really does not sleep on Korean food, especially at Tang Jip. The food here is always absolutely phenomenal and amazingly portioned. The yukgaejang, seafood pancakes, and BOSSAM are BUSSIN. The service is always great. They really make you feel like you're stepping into ajumma's home. Banchan is really delicious and fresh too. The food is honestly so delicious, the flavors are so pleasant and work in such good harmony with everything else. Me and my family ate here for my sister birthday. The service is amazing as well, they understood quickly on what we wanted to order and had no issues on answering questions that we had about any meal. This is not the regular Korean restaurant I usually go to. It has some items in the menu that is different from the other Korean restaurants in the area. The Side dishes like kimchi gabbage, kimchi cucumber, bean sprouts and fish cakes are fresh and good... The guy said you can't have one lunch and one dinner at the same table. But that's their way of upgrading your lunch ticket to a dinner ticket in their favor, meaning more money for them. My Friend said she wanted oysters and crab and the guy said that is a dinner item. The guy then said, "It's all right." He sold us our tickets and took us to our table. They did not explain that at 3:30, they start switching out the trays of food and those are now ALL considered dinner items. Here is the photo, the lady that stands behind the serving table, will chase you to your table over two little tiny pieces of shrimp, takes the TWO tiny pieces of shrimp and scolds you and continues to argue. I understand that a lot of people probably try to take advantage in an all you can eat place, but I've never seen anything so ridiculous over TWO tiny pieces of shrimp that she had to end up just throwing in the garbage and she would not stop talking. I had to ask her to leave my table and even after I asked her to leave my table, she continued to keep talking about the situation and repeating herself over two pieces of shrimp. So I asked her to leave again and she finally did and she dumped the TWO tiny pieces of shrimp in the garbage. Lol .

The pork sausage in it was tasty. There is a menu on the wall at the counter. There's also printed menus stacked at the counter. I think the printed one has other items. Ordering is done at the counter and you are given a number to place at your table. Your food is brought to you. There's about 15 tables. Some for two and most are for four. Larger groups can be easily accommodated by combining tables. If you go, check out the beautiful mural.

We celebrated Chinese new year at Tang Jip Korean Restaurant in Concord and, to tell you the truth, had an overall average experience. The food was decent, with some highlights like the hot stone bibimbap, which was flavorful and satisfying (mmmm, with that crust). The banchan was also a nice touch, with a few of the marinades standing out as particularly tasty. However, the service was pretty dry. The only standout was the polite robot serving the tables, which was an interesting touch, but it didn't make up for the lack of personal interaction. The interior was very casual, almost old-school, which didn't add much to the atmosphere. One strange thing was that the check never came to our table, so we had to go to the register to pay. We seated pretty fast even though It was fully packed. - First of all, the food we ordered was an amazing taste! And also we got it pretty fast. - Second of all, The customer service! Very disappointing experience at this restaurant. We ordered the galbi jjim, the beef was extremely chewy and tasted like it was made with day-old meat that had been reheated. It lacked the tender, flavorful quality you'd expect from such a dish. We also ordered the soondubu, and it was incredibly sour, as if it had been sitting for two days. This completely ruined the dish for me I was excited to try this place, but the quality of the food was subpar. I hope the restaurant takes steps to ensure their dishes are fresh and meet the standards of authentic Korean cuisine. read more

This place is legit! I wish they could open a place in San Ramon or Dublin too ! (Hint hint!) The food was top-notch--we ordered the pork bossam, which was a steal for the price and quality. While it didn't come with the cabbage as expected, it was still incredibly tasty. The bulgogi and rib soup were also excellent. The side dishes were fantastic, adding to the overall meal. This restaurant is located in the Willow Oass shopping center right next to JoAnn Fabrics. This has a lot of competition since this mall also has Ohgane and Korea House which are also very good Korean restaurants. read more
