Quick and easy transaction. I stopped by before going to the post office. Placed my order got a stamp card that you can grab yourself by the register, left to drop my packages off, and my drink was ready when I came back. I used to get this order a lot when I was younger and it tasted better then. This one was more icy than I liked but not terrible, and I probably would order it again

This is such a unique and authentic spot. The jasmine milk tea is pretty much perfect and their size large is huge. It's a great value for what you pay and in this economy, who doesn't love that? They do have a 50 cent charge to use your card but the employees are sure to tell you before you pay and they also have a sign up so I just pay cash when I'm here. I would rather cash go towards a tip for them than to the credit card companies. There is a lounge type area inside with seating and although there haven't been a lot of people when I've stopped in, you could definitely chill here for a bit if you wanted to read or chat up a friend while you enjoy your drink. They do offer food as well but I am always in a hurry so I haven't sampled that yet but I hope to soon and I will definitely keep stopping in for tea when I am in the area and thirsty.

Ive decided to write a review since my last review was back in 2010. I ordered a simple Milk Tea with Large Boba and Lychee Jelly. Also I bought popcorn chicken. I bought the popcorn chicken because if you spend less than ten dollars, you will have to pay a fee. So I ended up buying popcorn chicken to not pay that fee. Don't get me wrong the popcorn chicken tasted great. It was just too much for my plan of eating my meals for the day. I couldnt fit it really into my plan for the day. I ate a few bites and saved it for left overs for maybe closer to dinner. I kept telling myself that I shouldve just paid the fee instead of holding onto this for later. The Milk Tea with Large Boba - was extremely sweet. I regret to have informed the woman at the register to make it zero sweetner. The additional toppings like the lychee jelly and Boba already added to the sweetness. Next time Ill go back and now know ahead of time how to order my drinks. Im pretty sensitive to sugar. So ill keep that in mind the next time I go in here to order.

I came to this Tapioca & Tea place in the beginning of the 2026 year, as I happened to be at this plaza. It's nice to visit a non-chain establishment. As of January of 2026, their price for a small milk tea is $4.75, and their boba add-on is 50 cents more. I upgraded my beverage to a Large, which was $1.50 more. It's a decent size, as their Large size is bigger than your typical boba tea places. I also got a Chocolate Milk Tea, which is an option that isn't available at too many chain locations. I also got their popcorn chicken. Unfortunately, it's not as good as other chain locations, when you compare to UME Tea or Purple Kow. Their popcorn chicken comes with no spice, mild, medium or hot. Even though I got mild, it was hotter than your typical mild flavored popcorn chicken at other boba tea restaurants. As for their interior, it's very spacious there with plenty of seating available, including a large sofa. They also have board & table games that you can play too. I really liked their Chocolate Milk Tea, and I can see myself ordering this again or trying out their other beverages. As for the popcorn chicken, I will pass on this next time, but would be interested in trying out their other food items on their menu.

It's been a long time since I've been here. I love coming here for their snacks, especially the calamari. For the calamari, they use dry squid and batter it in a very airy batter. For someone who likes texture, this is perfect for me. I got a medium and it was pretty spicy. Their pandan waffle is also great, great flavor and chewy, but it is in the softer side and not crispy. Service was very quick and friendly. They have a lot of tables, and the sound is on the low side so it's a perfect place to come study.

This boba spot has been here way before all the newer aimed "aesthetic pleasure" shops came to life. This place is simple, straight to the point but serves the good stuff. They have kept the price down without compromising quality. They have a great drink menu and offers hot snacks - i always make sure I have their scallops and popcorn chicken. I had their Snow Taro and they daughter had a milk tea - everything was satisfying. I like this place and I hope it continues to thrive. Place is clean with friendly staff. Parking can be difficult if you want to park close but the target shopping area is near by that offers more space. Sorry for the lack of photos. My daughter went straight to the couch after we ordered and got comfortable while we enjoyed our goodies. YES...this place has a couch --- and L shape hahahaha Come support!

We came to Elk Grove for a date night and we had an hour to kill before our movie so came to tapioca and tea. We ordered two milk teas and order of cream cheese wontons and calamari medium spice. The teas came out fairly quickly and were very tasty mine was a bit sweeter than I like but that was ok cause the egg pudding was heavenly. Unfortunately this is where the good stops. It took over thirty minutes to get our food items. I honestly think they forgot as a rush came in shortly after we ordered but when we got our items they were way over cooked. The calamari was so overcooked it was like rubber and the wontons tasted burnt. We didn't realize this till after we left as we had to hurry to make our movie, I'd go back for the tea but likely not order and food items again.

Wonderful wide selection of drinks and finger foods and snacks to enjoy. Great value for their price, and they offer a stamp card rewards program. The staff are kind, friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable about everything they offer with great offerings and suggestions. I enjoy my time here and I look forward to stopping by and trying something new! Shoutout to the entire team for being so kind and welcoming. The young gentleman helping me out and being patient with me was incredibly kind, I wish I grabbed his name, but shoutout to him for making my first time experience enjoyable and desiring to come back! Interior is suitable for study groups or table top games or just wanting to read or work or chitchat. They even have a little library available and shelf of games available.

Our fave go to place to grab an avocado snow! Their snacks are always really good too. We love getting the calamari and popcorn shrimp, spice or no spice it always hits. We also recently ordered the fried tofu and that was good too! Glad this place still exists.

Positive Review A week ago, (nye rush), the shop got slammed between 3-5 pm. I was unfortunate enough to be part of that rush. Waited close an hour. They remade the food, and mentioned a free identical order on the house for the troubles. Well, week later, surprised as I am, they actually had my order taped to the front counter waiting to honor it (its $20 worth of food!) Always need to throw a shoutout to a business with integrity - this place been around since early 2000's for a

Nostalgia, consistency, and the Popcorn Chicken is why this place is 5 stars in my book. Called Tapioca Express back in the day, I'm surprised they survived the pandemic and all those competitive Instagram-decorated new boba shops. This place has no frills. Just basic boba tea drinks and traditional toppings, which works well for folks who don't care for all the fancy toppings and sugary bases. I like their pure Jasmine Tea, which is brewed so strongly, you can taste the bitterness of the tea. The snacks are why I come here though. They have the original chili, salt & pepper mixed flavoring that only boba tea shops seem to have for their popcorn chicken, calamari, and other fried goodies. Over the years, the new fancier tea shops have deviated from this seasoning and offered basil with their popcorn chicken, yet the flavors were so bland! Tapioca & Tea stayed consistent. Their popcorn chicken and calamari still taste exactly like it did 10 years ago. Piping hot, crispy outside, juicy inside, and spiiiicy! There are a few tables outside and they will actually bring you your order. That's nice to know there are places that employees care enough to come out from behind their posts to bring you items. Great customer service!

Popcorn chicken + Taro/Coconut (medium, no toppings) = $15.05 You can definitely chill a bit here to catch up with friends. There's a table big enough for 8 and a sectional couch to lounge on. I think the interior needs some color since it's a boba location. It's all brown and tan inside. The order was made quickly, but with your average customer service. Popcorn chicken is expensive, but I do like their fry and flavor on it compared to other boba places. The taro/coconut snow bubble was good too. We parked behind the Well Seasoned Buffet and walked across. If my husband did not show me where this place was, I probably wouldn't have found it.

Of all the croissants in the Sacramento area, this one from Mellobun is one of my top contenders for best in the city (favorite is Julian's in Folsom). The salt bread is a new discovery for me and the sourdough base also makes it stand out from traditional Asian salt breads. It has a nice crust and delicate interior that is fluffy and just the right saltiness. The Korean cream cheese was too sweet for my palate but it's always fun to try flavored versions of classic Viennoiserie. I was expecting a more savory cheese bread but this is definitely a sweet + onion flavor. Customer service is very responsive. The baked goods were a little late from scheduled pick-up and the bakery texted me to confirm new time; was missing a croissant in my box and the team quickly refunded for the correct amount of goods.

That was exactly what I was looking for when I walked into Xulo Coffee Bar--a place where I could hopefully study, enjoy my coffee, and take in the atmosphere. I ordered an iced Mexican Mocha along with a Fruity Pebbles Concha, and honestly, it turned out to be such a satisfying pairing. The Mexican Mocha had that extra kick I was hoping for. The flavor was rich and deep with chocolate and cream, along with a subtle hint of cinnamon that gave it a warm, comforting finish. Even though I ordered mine iced, I couldn't help but imagine how perfectly the sweet pastry would pair with a hot Mexican Mocha on a cool morning. And the Fruity Pebbles Concha? Whatever you want to officially call it, the texture and taste reminded me of a concha with a fun and colorful twist. It was sweet, soft, and delicious--and paired wonderfully with my coffee. The café itself was full of life. It was packed with people, many of whom appeared to be enjoying brunch and spending time with friends and family. Latin music played in the background--the kind of music that makes you want to get up and dance a little salsa between sips of coffee. I came hoping to settle in and study for a while, although my search for a nearby outlet may have shortened my stay. But honestly, I didn't mind. Sometimes the best part of visiting a café isn't how long you stay--it's the experience you have while you're there. The staff was incredibly friendly, the café was spotless, and the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and full of energy. There was something about the music, the aroma of coffee, and the conversations happening around me that made the experience feel comforting and memorable. Xulo Coffee Bar is definitely a place I would return to. Whether you're looking for a flavorful coffee, a sweet treat, brunch, or simply a lively café to enjoy for a while, this is a spot worth checking out. Our order included chilaquiles with extra avocado, avocado toast, two Mexican mochas, and pan de muerto. With tax and tip, we paid $64.32, so this was not a cheap breakfast. We paid at 11:21 a.m. My husband did not receive his chilaquiles until 12:07 p.m., and my avocado toast arrived at 12:10 p.m. (49 minutes later). While I was still waiting, the waiter said, "I'll be back with your waffles," even though I had ordered avocado toast with no egg. The chilaquiles and Mexican mochas were good. However, the avocado toast had absolutely no flavor, and the potatoes had no seasoning. I only ate them because I had paid for them. I understand that restaurants get busy, but at a minimum, staff should check in, acknowledge the delay, and reassure customers that they haven't been forgotten. Instead, we waited nearly 50 minutes with very little communication. The long wait, order confusion, lack of communication, and bland food made the overall experience disappointing, especially at this price. If you decide to go to Xulo, hold off on tip until after you receive your food and see how the service actually is on that day. Don't make the same mistake I made. I love how conducive it is to conversation when im on dates or when I'm on 1-1 meetings or even with a group of 6 people. The chairs are padded, comfortable for my aging bones. Seating is from 2-6 seats. In the colder months there's heaters & chairs outside which is nice aesthetically, ambiencey & for that patio like feel.
