We did the big cheese pasta Alfredo, they sang happy birthday in Italian with a chocolate cake piece and gave her a mimosa bottle on the house for her birthday! such a lovely place and definitely recommend! Tarantella is my favorite Italian restaurant! They have the prefect service, staff are very welcoming, delicious foods/ desserts, and the ambiance is very romantic and relaxing. Carlos the manger is always making sure his customers are happy and pleased. As for the chef Cornelio, never fails with his cooking skills, literally the best in what he does! It was $90 per person but after a glass of wine each, the 20% gratuity, and 5% for a card fee our total was $280 for 2 people. The staff was very friendly but the service was mediocre. They only gave us 3 small square pieces of bread. The food was good but definitely not worth the price. On a regular day and without the required 20% gratuity it might be worth it. read more

Had a good dinner at Tarantella on 4th. The food was tasty - I enjoyed the seared ahi tuna and the Pappardelle Norcina. Both were well-prepared and flavorful. The ambiance inside was nice, though we were bummed the backyard patio was fully booked. Definitely reserve ahead if you want that outdoor experience! They had one IPA on tap, which hit the spot. We have been here multiple times and each experience has been lovely. It has become our "special occasion" dinner night out. The back patio is lovely and features live, but quiet, music. The food is delicious and fresh! I've had the lamb chop special quite a few times and it never disappoints. We've also tried the lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, and ravioli with Italian sausage (I'm sure there are lots of things I'm forgetting) and everything has been incredible! The service is very good and attentive. Sometimes they get busy but the people who work there are very kind and will answer any questions you may have about the menu and will provide (good) recommendations on dishes. Just went for my Valentines day dinner and I have to say I'm EXTREMELY dissatisfied with my experience. We drove 49 minutes to this place to have dinner. Firstly, we had no idea there was a prefix menu for $90 per person. This wasn't noted anywhere online at all. The menu itself was a selection of not your typical Italian dishes (which is honestly what we were craving going to an Italian place...) and they didn't give us an option to order outside of the prefix menu. There was no actual pasta on the prefix.... I got a beet & lemon gnoochi and my boyfriend got the stuffed chicken. Mine was not what I expected at all. It was OK, not great. His chicken was dry and the vegetables were not good. The prefix also comes with an app, a salad, a dessert and a mimosa. The mimosa was incredibly small and served in a plastic cup..... on Valentine's Day. The dessert was frozen and not good. On top of that, we showed up 25 min early to our reservation and kindly asked to be seated in the yard since the seating everywhere else was cramped. The server told us that wasn't possible so we got sat at a wobbly picnic table out on the street.... also, the service itself was frazzled and scattered. I don't blame them, they were all very nice through it all. The absolute cherry on top was that when we got the bill back, without telling us or noting it anywhere online, they added a 20% tip onto the bill!!!!!!! On top of already charging us $90 each for that experience and quality. So we paid $300 for THAT. We feel extremely blindsided and sad. read more

For mains, we had the Tortellini al Tartufo, which had a subtle truffle aroma and a light red sauce that let the flavors shine without overpowering. Every bite was rich yet balanced. We finished with cannolis that were decadent, creamy, and exactly the right way to end such a memorable dinner. The service was top-notch -- everyone was attentive, made thoughtful recommendations, and seemed genuinely happy to take care of us. We sat in the cozy back patio, which feels like dining in a friend's backyard, complete with string lights, trees, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Visited Saturday at 5pm with reservations. The four of us were seated on the patio. Nice setting. But it was a bit drizzly and the patio only had a light shade cover. The place was empty with only a single person at 1 table. Not sure why we weren't seated inside. The waiter gave us 1 paper menu and said "QR code for the menu" as he pointed to the plastic QR codes on the tables. My phone wouldn't load it. When I asked for more paper menus, showing him my phone's black screen, he said they don't have enough - as if there was a rush of people outside trying to get one. He begrudgingly brought us 1 more, so we took turns looking. Our pals asked for a separate bill, and again he grumbled that he can't do that. Our pal told him to just treat this as a different table. The entire time he acted as if we were a bother. The menus were dirty and it felt cheap having QR codes in plastic holders on the table. The minestrone soup was not what we expected - it was filled with chunky vegetables like cauliflower, bellpeppers, and olives, no beans. Imo too much going on. Husband had meatballs and arugula salad, which he enjoyed. I had the pesto gnocchi. Pesto was lovely, gnocchi was a bit overworked as it was chewy. They did not offer any additional cheese or peppers once they served us. We were given the food and left alone. I had thought about ordering a secundi plate but never saw the waiter until the bill was brought over. Two soups, and 2 plates was $90. We won't be coming back. Food was okay but the wait- service was unwelcoming. Two others, one woman who took our payments and another gentleman in the front of the kitchen were very friendly. Went here with my Sis and family for her bday....really happy we went here. Think the last time we visited this location it was an overpriced Pho place. Such an upgrade! Great service and knowledgeable staff. Better yet the food was quite delicious. I even love how they have an eatery in the back and live music. I would love to try the pasta and cheese wheel concoction. We saw another table having it and it looked so entertaining to see that schlop of delectable cheese mixed in. Anyhoo give this place a go. Called before to see if there was a wait, was told no. Got there in 12 min close to 6pm. Apparently in that time there was a rush. My bad, should have made reservation. Was told 30 min or so wait, waited 45 min despite open tables, just didn't have quite big a table to fit 3 adults 2 children. After being seated asked the waiter to bring out food ASAP because children were starving by that time. To their credit staff was able to accommodate and bring out in about 15 min but the rest of the food took an additional 20min (felt longer), so about 35min from when we ordered which was immediately when we were seated. We were there over 2hrs including the waiting, I know because I had only put in 2 hours for parking and had to add time. There was a couple next to us that was already seated before we got there left when we were leaving. But they seemed to be enjoying themselves so maybe they just purposely lingered longer. From my experience 2.5hr minimum for parking. Food was decent. Glad they had cioppino, which is a very enjoyable dish when done right. Would give 4/5. Can't remember name, but lobster fettuccine was pretty good 4/5. Sausage fettuccine (?) 3.5/5 Cheese pizza kinda flatbread like, 4/5 During our dinner they brought out a giant block of cheese and melted it with a flame and made the dish at table side for another guest. Smelled good and was neat to see. Ambiance: front room decent, felt a little too warm and limited seating. Back patio: temperature much more comfortable. More seating, nice decorative lights. Music was too loud but we were seated right in front of the live music. Price: A bit pricey but probably average for this type of venue. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because we didn't dine at the restaurant but the problem was the lack of flavors and not much to do with the shortcomings that may happen with having a takeout meal. The meals were delivered hot still. Not one but both the dishes we got were near flavorless. Nothing stood out. I had the Carbonara and it tasted of heavy cream, black pepper and nothing else. The Ragu di Cinghiale didn't have much flavor at all either but was... less bad than the carbonara. I thought the tiramisu may be the saving grace but that too was a miss! I'm glad others seem to enjoy this place but it's certainly not for me. One star for effort and one star for the fresh strawberries. read more

A small but an intimate dining experience for just two of us, on the back patio of this 4th Street gem. 1135 Very friendly staff and service. Had the seafood cioppino and she had the gnocchi with pesto. Both delicious and good size servings. Tried their meatballs as well (how I normally gauge an Italian restaurant) and they were just about as good as my Noni's. All of this with a bottle of Barbaresco from Marco Bonfante vineyards. We came here for a Saturday morning brunch about a month ago. I had seen Instagram posts about their patio and brunch service and it looked great. We couldn't find a menu online for their brunch to plan ahead (one of us is vegetarian). We got there at 10 am as it was opening. We were sat immediately and it seemed as if they did not have have customers right at 10 as it took a bit for them to get things going. But everyone was kind and friendly. The food- was good. My friend had an omelette a I had pancakes with a side or sausage. The sausage was so flavorful, high recommend. The packacakes, were fine. My friend said her omelette was great, very flavorful. The coffee - unfortunately was the worst i have had, it was either day old or someone who doesn't drink coffee made it- it was so thick and burnt. No amount of cream made it lighter or smoothed it out. The patio area is cute and would be great for groups or a party. I'd just ask for a fresh pot of coffee read more

I came here for girls night and absolutely loved the ambiance. The place has good seating with 3 separate dining areas. There's a back room that had live music but we were seated in the front dining area which was nice as it was better suited for chatting. While the staff was friendly, they seemed a little overwhelmed and unorganized. It took them 20 min to come over and take our drink order. Wine selection is decent.
