The worker name Lili was rude to us several times within the 15 minutes we are there from order to pick up! First she was like you order there not here then we ordered and wait outside the pick up area then she said don't block the door! I came here looking for a refreshing drink with my younger sister. There was already a noticeable line but it went by pretty quickly. The service was great despite it being busy. The 20 oz Sunset Peach was absolutely delicious! It's everything we wanted in a fruity tea: sweet, refreshing, and cool. However, I felt that there wasn't enough mango bits in the drink. The amount we received seemed more fitting for a 16 oz. It just didn't look proportional. We also ordered karate chicken with level 2 spiciness. In my book, the level 2 seemed more like a level 3 but it was still good. I would recommend paring it with ranch instead of their sweet and sour sauce (I forgot the name) to combat the spiciness; there's definitely a kick! Overall, the portions was a little lacking. Other tea places, such as itea, offer more. Don't get me wrong, everything was delicious, but a little more chicken here and some more mango bits there would've been perfect. Tastea is my go-to boba place and Peach Me Sweetea is always a must! As much as I love this place, very rarely my order would get messed up. Sadly, one of those instances happened today. 3 of the 5 drinks I had ordered did not turn out well. For one drink - Thai Milk Tea w/ oat milk & honey boba, full sweet - the flavor was off because it didn't taste the same the past few times we've ordered it, seemed like they didn't add any sugar. This has also happened on a previous order a while back. It's just upsetting coming home and feel like it went to waste because you can't enjoy it and ends up going to the trash. The two other drinks were Peach Me Sweeteas. Not sure if it's a seed or something else, but when you take a sip, you'd expect to get a piece of fruit or boba, not something hard (photo attached). Both drinks had these come up from the drinks. Imagine accidentally swallowing this. This isn't going to make me stop coming here, but I'd hope they'd be better at keeping the drinks more consistent. For example, the other day I paid for two toppings and they didn't put one of them in and I didn't notice until I was already halfway home. My absolute favorite drink is the Lychee Peachee half sweet. There are real fruit pieces and the tea is just right. It is extremely refreshing on a hot day. I enjoy the fries and popcorn chicken too, but food takes a bit longer to wait for. This location can get extremely crowded with high school kids in the afternoon. There's newer location in Evergreen I have yet to check out. All in all, I'm happy Tastea has made it up to the Bay Area. Fruit lovers rejoice! read more

One of my favorite boba spots in SJ area! They offer a wide range of choices from fruit teas to milk teas to slow drip coffees to slushes. They also have some great eats! They're for their honey boba which is in a green color, but don't be alarmed, it doesn't change the flavor or taste of regular boba. Love a lot of their drinks, my personal favorite is the Lychee Freeze. You can adjust sweetness. Choice of two sizes: 20oz the HUGE 32oz Also, for their milk/fruit teas, on the menu, the description will say it's made with black tea. But if you ask them, they can sub it out for green te I'm a huge fan of their buttload'a fries, not sure how they season it, but it's really good! comes with a side of sauce of your choice :) They get pretty busy sometimes with a line out the door, but short wait for your drinks after you pay! When I recieved my drink I only took 3 sips and the drink was gone and it was because the whole cup was full with ice and so much boba. This is my spot if I wanted a fruit tea! Line goes by quick and they make your drink even quicker (but probably because it's premade). My go tos are peach me sweetea, lychee peachee, and matcha cold brew. I usually sub out one of the jellies/fruit bits for honey boba at no extra charge. However, one time I did get a matcha cold brew with no ice (because I didn't want anything too cold) and I got 75% of my cup filled. When it came out, I asked one of the workers if this is correct... because it looks like someone drank my drink lol. He said they don't top it off when it's no ice. Understood the business concept, but also shows I am paying for 3/4 of my drink and 1/4 ice. 3.5 Stars. Tastea is located within the strip center across from CVS and on the same side of McDonalds. I had the Unknown and the Golden milk tea. The line was super long, but fast on a monday at 3pm and what's nice is that they have an intercom system and you can be alerted that your drink is ready from the outside. The drinks I had were good-- the fruit add-ons were definitely unique. However, overall for drinks, both milk and fruit based, they weren't remarkably higher quality than other boba places that I've had around the bay. You can't adjust the sweetness here and I wasn't asked if I wanted to adjust the ice amount, so I'm assuming ice level can't be adjusted either, which is fine. What I gotta gripe about is that they call their ~16 oz size drink a 20 oz. See the comparison cups below next to Starbucks grande (16oz) and venti (24oz) cups and a standard sized credit card. I didn't notice the size disparity from looking at their display, but once it was in my hand, I wish I had bought their 30oz. We wanted some drinks and came here to quench our thirst. The menu was like any other Tastea locations. We ordered a 20oz Peach Me Sweetea ($4.85) and a 20 oz Thai Milk Tea ($4.85). Part of the place was super dark because the lights were out. Our drinks came out within a few minutes. The Peach Me Sweetea looked and tasted good. This place just doesn't stop. I came here on a rainy Friday night for a girls night with my baby cousins. I sat for about an hour waiting since the girls were late and I kid you not, there were over 100 people in and out of this location. This is a smaller location here in the bay area, but there are so many Highschools around and car fanatics that this place is constantly packed. This time around I got an almond milk tea with pearls. My cousin got the lychee peachy while my other cousin got classic taro milk tea with almond milk. They were all good. This location has so many workers, but the drink turn around time is a lot slower than the White road location. Cons: the bathroom has a code. Tastea is literally one of my favorite boba shops. To be honest I never get tired of their Matcha Thai Milk Tea. When I have my cravings, I order a 32oz with honey boba, regular sweet with oat milk. I'm actually craving one right now as I'm writing this review but it's too cold to be outside! Ordering online is so much more convenient. You can choose a slot time whether it's ASAP or choose from the available times. I've never had any issues with my order except that one time when they were super backed up when the SIP was initiated. Of course that was understanding! However this one lady was throwing a fit because she waited for a long time. I probably waited close to 30 minutes even though I received a notification that my drink was ready but it wasn't. All good!!!! Sometimes you just have to learn to be patient people. The system can't always be trusted!!! I wish there was a rewards program here because I just visited yesterday and I'm back this morning. Some of the best boba drinks on this side of town. Their fruit teas are good and include real fruit bits. Some personal favorites; the unknown and tootea fruitea. Order the honey boba, but don't be alarmed when it comes out green. The food here is also really good. The popcorn chicken, fries and fried shrimp are all really well done. Albeit not the most healthy, but so good. The one downside to this is that I've noticed they now give you significantly less chicken than they used to :( so minus 1 star because this is actually a bit pricey for how much you get. I've also tried the lychee icee and that was very good. I have yet to try the milk teas but have tried almost all the fruit teas and haven't been disappointed so I'm sure you'll find something you like. The prices here are a bit higher than other locations so that may be preventing some from coming here on the regular. read more

Came here with my friends after the night market. I've been here a couple of times and every single time it's been packed. Drinks are solid. I'm addicted to their Matcha Thai milk tea (esp with their signature boba). It's super creamy with a strong matcha and Thai taste. I love how they also have snacks! Finally tried Tastea for the first time today, after hearing all my friends rave about how much they enjoy the drinks here. I ordered the Peachme Sweet Tea, which is a strawberry peach black tea, with some lychee jelly. I got standard sweetness because it was my first time, but it was way too sweet for my liking. Luckily, the worker there (I believe their name was John according to the receipt) was super nice and remade the drink for me at 50% sweet even though it wasn't an error on their part. I don't usually get boba in my drinks, but I get them here because they're always perfectly cooked and taste fresh! It's super yummy. Their drinks are pretty sweet, so make sure to get it with 25% sweet level or with no sugar at all if you're not into sweet drinks. I prefer my drinks less sweet, so I always customize my drinks here and it's perfect. How I order my drinks: substitute the black tea for green tea, no sugar, and half of the fruit syrup that goes into the tea. We were really thirsty after walking around the flea market. The only other tastea I had gone to was in garden grove, and now they have several locations in the bay area. Tastea offers really large sizes, their medium size is 20 oz which is larger than other boba tea places 16 oz for a medium / regular. Their large size is 32 oz. which is huge! Luckily their drinks aren't too sweet, so even if you get a 32 oz., it's not an insane amount of sugar. I like their fruity drinks more than their milk tea drinks. We got a lychee peach, and a sunset peach with clear boba. They only allow one group in the restaurant at a time. The pick up section is on the other side of the store, and there are plenty of places to sit and wait for your drink. I really enjoyed the lychee peach drink, it was so refreshing and I loved all the lychee bits in the drink. I can't wait until they open some more locations in other parts of the bay. read more

I've been meaning to try their matcha Thai tea and so I got that made with almond milk and added honey boba. Upon the first few sips it was unpleasantly bitter and I'm guessing it's from the matcha. There was still a slight bitter aftertaste but after I let the drink sit for a while it didn't taste bitter anymore, which was weird.
