Love coming to this place for boba. Their boba is always consistently soft whenever I go. Never disappointed with that. Service is quick and friendly. My favorite drink here is the watermelon slush during the summer. But typically I go with the peache lychee drink or the lychee slush since it's so refreshing. The largest size is pretty worth it for those who can drink a lot, which is pretty worth it to me. Did an online order for some drink and food. We ordered med spicy chicken and shrimp but when we tried the food it was so spicy it was not edible. Call the store to see to ask if they can give us a refund bc we were 20 mins away and couldn't drive back. Would've taken us 40 mins back and forth. They said that they can only remake the food if we bring it back right away and won't be giving any money back. The girl on the phone was so disrespectful and rude. Tee and I came here after lunch and this place was pretty busy at 1:45pm on a Saturday. We ordered a 32oz Golden Milk Tea ($6.60) and a 20oz Lychee Peachee ($4.85). The Golden Milk Tea tasted great at regular sugar and ice levels. The boba was chewy and green which I guess was their signature thing. The Lychee Peachee tasted more of peach than lychee, but it was good to me and different than what I've had in the past. It was a good change of pace. I was in this plaza checking out 85 degree bakery when I noticed this new place. I decided to try it out. Walking in, I immediately noticed this location has a variety of drinks. There was about 10 different milk teas. I went with the Golden milk tea, which is one of the popular drinks. Customers can modify the sweetness and ice level. When my drink was ready, I noticed the drinks did not have a sealed top. It was a regular soda lid with a hole for a straw. This will definitely make it hard for people carry many drinks, but I'm glad they had cup holders. My drink tasted great. It was not too sweet when I ordered medium level. I will have to come back to try one of their specialty tea drinks. read more

A few sips into my o la la yesterday, and I noticed a long black hair inside of my cup (my hair is blonde). When I opened the lid, there was a second hair lighter in color on the top, and a third hair stuck to the underside of the straw opening. I waited 25 minutes for this drink, while the other three drinks I ordered sat on the counter already made. My new favorite spot(this location at Waterford) for afternoon snack with the kids. Must order large karate chicken and buttload of fries. Do sign up online for the app so you get the welcome award. Very clean, air conditioned have indoor and outdoor seating and bathroom and can order ahead to-go. Boba is good, and consistent and always in supply have caffeine free smoothie and slushy for my kids, have fresh fruit seasonal drinks like cantaloupe and watermelon, lots of topping to choose from, have whole milk option, very fast and so far has never gotten my order wrong. Plenty parking in the plaza.incidentally they have a Jug of milk tea ...wow. Personally I always go with 'lite sweet', especially if there's toppings. My friends and I came here after a dinner and drinks at Aqui. Our cashier was very efficient but still attentive and nice when answering my questions. I ordered an iced coffee, less sweet, with boba. I love Tastea, tastea always comes first in my mind since only this place sub oat milk and stevias for sweetness. On Thursday after dinner with my gf, we picked Tastea at this location for boba. Arrived at 8:46-9 pm, and it was fairly empty, everything was fine until the cashier, her name is Jae? Jay? In a blue shirt, tan skin with nose piercing. ( maybe supervisor) was SO RUDE. I still don't get why we got treated like we are those annoying high schoolers. No welcome or thank you. I get it, she might have a long day at work. But our last straw was when she called our order, and the way she handed out our drinks, even my gf told me "Damn she is so rude" like Girl? We walked into the store, well behaved but why attitude? So we won't do customer service in 2024 at the boba shop? It's 2024, girls support girls. I asked her if I can have more sweetness in my drink since there wasn't any and she did so..so thank you for that, but it wasn't mixed properly where when I did drink it all I tasted was the syrup. I got the house special yesterday and noticed how it wasn't filled all the way, but I decided to let it go because it was pretty busy and how it could be an honest mistake. Today, my parents went out and picked up my drink (Vietnamese coffee), and I noticed it was under-filled again. I love Tastea! I have never been disappointed with any of my drinks, never! I normally go to their Berryessa location and was totally surprised that they have one in South San Jose. They also get more points for having their own app and online ordering system. My sister and I order at 1-2x a week and have literally tried everything. I normally order The Unknown, Lychee Peachee, or Bootyshaker. All are pretty light and REFRESHING! Don't even bother with their regular size. For just a buck more you'll get a giant 32oz drink for only $6-$7. Prices vary with the toppings you choose. The people here are extremely friendly. Ordered the calamari and when I received my order the employee said that they "usually give more calamari but that this was all that they had left, so this is all I could give you", then proceeded to hand me less than a half full basket of calamari scraps. I ended up asking for a refund and returning the calamari. It would have been nice if the employee had made some sort of accommodation instead of assuming that I would be okay with paying 10 dollars for a smaller than normal portion of the food. The employee then said that he'd refund me and give me a receipt, then proceeded to help another customer. When it was my turn in line again, I could tell he already forgot to process the refund and I had to remind him that he said he would give a receipt for my refund. Horrible customer service! I understand that places are busy and understaffed but we waited over 30 minutes for our drinks because the cashier wrote the wrong name for my order after I said it clearly TWO times. We kept going up to the counter and asking if our drink was ready and they continually told us it was coming up. Okay, we decided to wait some more. Saw a dozen more people get their drinks and decided to go up again. Apparently now they didn't have anyone under my name. Okay... I can let that slide, especially since hearing people with masks on is tough! What is frustrating here is the cashier who took our order ended up helping make drinks, seeing the drinks on the counter, and not saying anything such as "oh hey, this is your order" (we sat inside the entire time and the staff kept glancing at us). What's even worse is that the drinks were now MELTED and they also had no boba because they ran out. Ok so first of all, you expected us to take an order that was missing items?? I expect a refund for the items that are no longer available or remake the drinks that sat on the counter for half an hour. No one really offered to do anything and were confused when I asked for a refund. Suddenly, there was boba available again and the worker offered to add some into the drink. Ok sure but he had just said there was no boba... really weird that suddenly when I decided to speak up there was boba again. What's even WORSE is that the drink was disgusting. The chamango literally only tasted like salt and at this point was melted. They didn't even wipe the drinks down at the counter so they were sticky too. I am honestly amazed at how they expect the customer to take a drink that has a missing topping when it was paid for... I wonder how many other people took their drinks that had no boba. I ordered that with less sugar, and it was delicious! Really delicious flavor, not too sweet (with the lessened sugar) but still satisfying. I had ordered delivery given COVID, and the order was fast and easy! Really not tons else to say- solid milk tea for a good price and quick service/delivery. We went to their grand open yesterday, it was massively crazily busy. People were already there waiting since 9am and they don't open until 2pm. Plastic was found in my tea. As I was drinking it, I felt something sharp in my mouth and I spit out a piece of plastic. The piece of plastic was small but relatively sharp and could've been painful to swallow. When I saw the piece of plastic, I was shocked because while I was drinking it I never saw the piece floating in the cup.
