This spot is amazing!!!! Although I rated this a 3, it is a 3.5. The service is quick and they will get your food as soon as possible. Lowkey, Tastea is not my favorite. However, the food is pretty good. The French fries are so good. I would go back to get the fries. The boba is okay, but you can sometimes taste the powder in the drinks. Which I don't like. So cool to see that Tastea is now open in Vietnam Town! The location is convenient for those shopping around the area and need a quick boba fix. Everybody knows and loves Tastea so it's great that they're opening up in Vietnam Town. We came around 1 pm on a Sunday and it was poppin'! Pretty busy with lots of families and friends, but our order came out in a timely manner. Fries, popcorn chicken, and calamari came out crispy and flavorful! Came here during their grand opening last Saturday, and the line was wrapped around the building. We were in line for their BOGO offer, and to our surprise, they were able to move the line quickly, and drinks came out pretty fast as well. We got the 20oz peach me sweetea half sweet with honey boba and 20oz lychee peachee lite sweet with lychee jelly both drinks were very yummy. Bad customer service and Matcha Thai taste funny. Tastea is on of my favorite milktea brand, I went to multiple Tastea location before but this one disappointed me. The customer service was bad, the cashier was rushing me to take my order with no feeling and kinda rude when I ask to scan my QR code. I order the Matcha Thai Mid sweet, when it came out I have already notice the color is different from what I normally get, the flavor was bitter (Matcha thai is my favorite drink at Tastea, I always get it) but this time is really disappointed. For those who are looking for a study space, I would rate this a 3/5. There are 3 tables inside (with an accessible outlet at each table) and 2 tables outside. The biggest con is that they currently don't have accesible wifi. Also, would not recommend this place if you like quieter environments since it can be loud inside and it's next to a karaoke store contributing to noise outside. Last Friday, I went into Tastea for my usual matcha pick me-up. As usual, the drink was great and perfectly sweet. Super refreshing for such a hot day. I came at this Tastea often, but have never written a review. The reason for this switch up was the excellent service from the cashier named Paul. Not only was he warm and inviting (which i find many bobaristas lack) but when I wanted to adjust something in my drink after it was done, he went and got it goon in a very quick manner. The BEST EVER Tastea location that we have visited! Kudos to the Management and Crew. Nothing as clean and organized with high level of hospitality than Tastea Vietnam Town San Jose. From the welcoming smile of the employees, to the quickness of ordering through the register and a short minute of wait before I enjoyed my drink. Yes boba and yeah tea. I'm not sure about the process of ordering fries. There might be a problem. When ordering fries, they ask the spice level which is like some type of pepper seasoning or something and then they ask what flavor seasoning you want, but since there are seasonings with different spice levels what the fuck does mild even mean? Because when I ordered super spicy fries and original flavor and it was bland but it had so much pepper spice. And I ordered a mild spice with a spicy seasoning and there was little seasoning but the flavor was bad with a chemical taste so do not recommend the jalapeño lime to someone you love. So the flavor and spice is kinda weird when ordering fries at Tastea. But really I remember there being a Cajun seasoned fries and that signature crispy battered crunch, paired with the sweet chili Thai sauce was the pinnacle for Tastea, but this is where I say bye to the business. hands down the best boba down here in san jose. i got helped by a worker named henry khuu and when i asked him for recommendations he listed out reasons why the drinks were his favorite. i tried all the ones he listed and they were all delicious! the vibe here is the best, with decor and theming for each holiday. the drinks here are always consistent and the customer support is perfection. i recommend the matcha thai tea with less sweet and less ice and the strawberry sensation with less sugar as well read more

I've ordered Tastea on Uber eats a few times now and each time that I've ordered it's the same drink 32oz Strawberry Ecstasy sub for white tea and no grass jelly. Yet none of the employees seems to ever look at the " special instructions " box. Why put a special instructions box if you won't even look at the instructions requested from the guest. This location has really cute decorations, even one that could be used as a photo op for your drink. Love that the workers let me know that I can sub out the black tea for green tea and instead of cane replace with stevia. Given the recommendations, I highly enjoyed all the drinks! It was poorly made, texture was extremely chunky and watered down (like juice)--did not have a smoothie-like consistency, and had a bitter aftertaste.
