Updated my review from 5 stars to 1 star after receiving the worst service experience in my life: The most recent promotion they have is to leave good review on yelp for exchanging a free snack, but on their website the promo descriptions are inconsistent between English and Chinese (btw this is a Chinese restaurant and many customers use their Chinese website to order) - English version shows the free item is a snack whereas the Chinese version shows it's free drink, and it didn't say clearly that this is a "dine in only" per their Chinese website. And if it's dine-in only why it is showing up on their online order system? See below pictures. I read the Chinese website and ordered a hotpot, a snack, and a drink (free item per their Chinese website) to go. When got there, I only got my hotpot and drink, and paid for those two. When I asked about my snack, they said because it was only a "dine-in" promotion so they've manually deleted the snack from my order, and also had the comment that they've been running this promo for 3 months and I'm the only person had this issue, suggesting that I was trying to get a benefit from them for free food. I had to wait for over 15 mins and talk to their manager on the phone to have them admit it was their fault for messing up the promo sites and receive my missing item. I was so frustrated to be treated like this for their own fault. I'll never ever come to this place. I've been to tasty pot in other locations for tons of times and I had really pleasant experience, except Dublin. read more

This place is located in an Asian plaza. We came in at 7PM on a Monday and it was semi-busy. Something different from the other Tasty Pot around the area is that they provide you a tablet to order! Additionally, they have a sizzling plate, kind of like, pepper lunch! We ordered curry but subbed it for a creamy milk soup. It was delicious! We also got calamari which was sooo good! I'm not a big hotpot person but someone told me they added a sizzling plate option. I like that they added this option for people who may not want hot pot, but I wish they would expand on this and add more options for customization. The reason for my review and rating is purely for the sizzling plate experience. However, I did try the Tom yum broth from someone's meal and it was good. A lot of hot pot places don't have that broth as an option, so I am glad they had it and that it was good. There were two options for sauce and I tried the black bean sauce reluctantly but I wasn't a fan. I don't like sweet flavors so I immediately took everything off. There was no option to select no sauce. I typically like to use salt, pepper, and sauces provided at the table and season the food to suit my tastes. I also took off the corn and edamame because there was a ridiculously large amount of those two toppings. I wish there was an option to exclude those two toppings but there was no option to select that. Since we are ordering through an iPad ourselves, I forgot to mention it to the server. It would be nice if there were other add on options other than egg or cheese such as fried garlic or green onion like other sizzling plate restaurants. The rice to meet ratio was very off. There was a huge amount of rice compared to the quantity of meat that I had to compensate by eating a lot of rice with one piece of meat. I suppose this would be good for people who like to make a fried rice, but I don't typically like to mix my dish together when I eat sizzling plates. I also wish they had more sauces at the table. They also didn't have any salt or pepper when I asked the server. The big soup spoon was also a bit hard to use for a sizzling plate dish so I used chopsticks to put food on the spoon to eat. All in all, this is a nice option to add and I like that a free green or black tea is provided, but I wish they would expand their options for this meal. I believe they added the sizzling plate option recently, so I hope they can take these comments into consideration for the future to accommodate to the various ways customers like to eat their food. The ambiance was not bad but it was a bit hard to move and get around because the tables are pretty compact and too close to each other. I like that they had big tables for big parties. Tried a bunch of their flavors but nowadays we split a Beef hot pot in medium spicy (this location isn't as spicy as others, so we could even get the next spice level up) and order instant noodles and pork rice blood cakes as add-ons. We prefer the beef flavor more than the Taiwanese supreme since it has more beef and less of other items we care less about. I like how this location offers a free hot or iced tea on the side. Was craving a hot noodle soup and discovered Tasty Pot! Parking was easy as it's in a complex. We came here and waited a few minutes before we were greeted and told there was a 15 minute wait. Food came out fairly quick and piping hot! I ordered the kimchi dumpling pot with ramen noodles and that was delicious! It had plenty of veggies and pork. Pork was surprisingly not tough despite the fact that it's been boiling for some time. Broth was flavorful, but I think it definitely has MSG.
