    Curry pot and pepper lunch
    Serena L.

Tasty pot is usually just alright to me, but this time was really good. Not sure if it was the location or day, but my sister and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The waitress was also super kind, and offered to give us extra soup to bring home! Curry pot - 4/5, my goto, has great curry flavor and a lot of toppings. Delish! Pepper lunch - 5/5, I think this was the only location with this at the time and it was actually really good. The sauce was really dark, so we thought it was going to be too salty. Surprisingly, it wasn't! It was really flavorful, but not overpowering.

3.5 STARS Date: Monday, March 10th, 2025 Party of: 2 Meal: Lunch Delivery How Ordered: DoorDash Time Ordered: around 2pm Time Delivered: around 3:15pm Delivered to: Outer Richmond 10. Japanese Miso Hot Soup (W) / 日式味噌鍋 (Wd) $21.95 12. Seafood Lobster Hot Soup (Wd) / 海鮮龍蝦鍋 (Wd) $23.95 *Roe Fishball / 魚子魚丸 ($4.95) *Basil Popcorn Chicken ($8.75) I crave hot pot quite a bit. When I saw Tasty Pot had a location in the city, I decided to order delivery. We typically order from the Daly City location, which is about the same distance from us as this one. Tho delivery took longer from here. I have my standard order ( 9. Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup), but I decided to try something new. I am a huge seafood fan, so why not get the lobster hotpot? The tail was a decent size. Obviously overcooked, but it wasn't too tough or chewy. The pot had a good amount of ingredients - Napa, Lobster, Soft Tofu, Vermicelli, Enoki Mushroom, Seaweed Knot, Brown Beech Mushroom, Zucchini, Black Fungus, King Oyster Mushroom, Taro, Shrimp, Fish Filler, Mussel, Baby Octopus, Clam, Cuttlefish Ring, Eggie Fishball, Lobster Ball, Kamaboko, Scallion, Pork bone soup. I did missed the spice of my normal Taiwanese pot. This didn't have much heat even tho I got it Flaming Spicy. The fish balls were fine. Tho I wish they weren't the fried version. I would not order the popcorn chicken again. Pieces were tiny and over battered. Fun trying a new hotpot spot. REVIEW #3741

    4. Curry Flavor Hot Soup (Wd), 6/11/2025

We decided to try this place since we're big fans of Boiling Point and wanted to experience a different Taiwanese hotpot spot. The food turned out to be great! We ordered the beef soup and curry soup--both were flavorful and came with more seafood balls than Boiling Point. The portions aren't as large, which actually worked out well since we still had room for dessert afterward. The restaurant is new, and the staff were friendly and attentive. If you're a fan of Boiling Point or hotpot in general, I'd recommend giving this place a try at least once and seeing how it compares for yourself.

Had an amazing experience at Tasty Pot. I ordered the beef pot and substituted the tomato- based broth- what a game changer! The flavor was incredible, rich, and satisfying with every spoonful. I love the vibe here too, they've got the best 90s and early 2000s R&B playlist going that really takes you back. Nothing like slurping hot pot while Usher and TLC are setting the mood. Staff was super friendly too. Definitely coming back again.

Came here on a Friday night for dinner and we got seated right away. Service was nice and friendly but a bit slow at times. The food was great! We shared one bowl between two people and ordered some extra toppings. I think this is plenty of food as long as they keep the broth coming. Meat was well prepared, veggies were tasty, and broth was nice and hot! It felt like a meal that just kept giving. Would definitely come back here and try something else. The ambiance is pretty average. It was nice and a great place to grab dinner with some friends and catch up.

Good! For me, the hot pot was better than the rice plate. The staff is friendly. The space inside is big and can seat big groups.

Sizzling Plate beef black pepper sauce and udon

So happy they opened another location in SF (miss the Clement St one). This new location is not great for parking, so I took an uber here. (I went here for a yelp elite event so my food was complimentary.) Got seated within 10 minutes. The seafood soup with lobster tail was my favorite and probably still is! This location also added a new dish - sizzling beef platter and you pick between black pepper or a mushroom sauce and rice or udon that comes with it. My boyfriend chose the black pepper sauce and udon. It was tasty but definitely high pepper taste of course. I would try the mushroom sauce next time. Very big portion and you can definitely share. The seafood soup was good as always. Service started a little slow because it was really busy and there was only one real server and the other two workers were doing drinks and bussing tables. Everyone was friendly though. The restaurant is decent size but I'd still expect a wait on more popular going out to eat nights. You order via QR code from the table, and the food comes out in 15 minutes or less. They still use their red chairs! Happy to have this location in SF!

I love this place!! Every time I've gone, the portion sizes are huge and super affordable. I've tried the kimchi dumpling, Taiwanese supreme spicy, and lamb hot soups. My favorite so far is definitely the Taiwanese supreme spicy. Also, the sizzling plates are amazing. We got ours with the mushroom sauce and cheese added (I was skeptical at first but it's worth adding!). Service has been impeccable too. They're always coming by to make sure that the food tastes good and that we have enough broth. There are TVs in the place where they put on NBA games, and they were nice enough to give us seats right in front of the TV both times we went. For now, it's really easy to find seating but I wouldn't be surprised in the future if it gets packed.

This is the first location that I've seen the Sizzling Plate offered. Portions are big and between two people, we still had enough leftovers to bring home for another meal. We got the sizzling plate with black pepper sauce and the beef hot pot with mild sauce. I've been to the Geary and Westlake locations many times so the beef hot pot is always consistently good at all the locations. Sizzling plate was new to me and might be a new go-to as we like the option of sharing both a plate and hot pot so that we can have a little bit of both. Servers were very friendly and refilled our hotpot with more broth each time. I also like that they were playing 90s and early 2000s throwbacks! Parking is somewhat difficult to find but we really got lucky with our spot directly across the street.

We have been to Tasty Pot at Westlake before but this new place is classy. Nice vibrant red upholstered seating and bright colors. Westlake is kind of dark. Was checked in and seated right away. Staff very helpful, polite and cheerful. Found street parking half a block away, "score!" We ordered the Taiwanese Supreme Hot Pot mild... so good and my favorite. Lots of noodles and veggies. Also got the Sizzling Plate with rice and added an egg. Savory and the beef was nicely crisped on the hot plate. Ordered sweet milk tea and Taro milk tea both refreshing. Add on the fried calamari strips. Hot and crispy was a nice appetizer to start with. Nice to come to North Beach for the nice SF weather and see folks enjoying themselves.

In a sea of Italian restaurants, it was fun to discover a Taiwanese hot pot joint. Except it's not a cook-your-own-hot-pot situation, but rather a preconfigured pot boiling at your table. Loved all the flavors! Basil Popcorn Chicken: Addictively crunchy. There were no basil leaves standalone, so maybe they were in the batter attached the chicken. Anyway, a hearty sauce of protein. Beef Hot Pot w/ Instant Noodles: This is the perfect meal for someone that loves a little bit of everything! While there are lots of nice slices of beef, there's also a ton of other proteins like meatballs, fishcake, imitation crab, tofu, clams and tofu skin. The dipping sauces on the side are pretty good to complement those proteins, I especially like the soybean chili sauce since it was thick and stuck to whatever you were dipping. There were also a lot of veggies. It came with vermicelli noodles, but I added instant noodles for my free carb side to have another noodle texture. It's a bit slow eating while it's boiling, but you can scarf it down faster when it cools a bit. I especially like how they offered more broth, for free, when I was running low. Cheesy Milk Hot Soup w/ Lamb Slices: Very unique. Really like the spicy meats creamy combo. A little like that viral pink Buldak. The default meat was pork slices, but I saw lamb as a substitution, so got that instead since I love lamb. The mish mash of items in the soup was similar to the other pots, though there might be some unique items like the mini-sausage. One weird thing was that if I got a spoonful of mostly soup, without much else, it kinda reminded me of warm cereal milk. So be sure to not do that. Sizzling Plate w/ Black Pepper Sauce & Cheese: After having two soups here, decided to go for a change of pace. It's well hidden at the very bottom of the QR code menu, with no picture, but definitely worth checking out. Comes out sizzling with the beef cooking. I mixed it a little bit after it arrived and then let it sit longer so the rice got crisp. Tons of tangy black pepper sauce for lots of flavor. Fun and delicious.

You can't beat a great hot pot and this place hit this spot. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for some Taiwanese fare.

I am so happy that Tasty Pot finally open again in SF and its walking distance from me too. I came in on a cold raining evening. Perfect for hotpot. I think hotpot is good in any weather. I love tasty because the flavors are always there and I don't have to share. Ha! They have almost everything you need for a hot pot experience and if you wanted more or extra items, they have add on too. Normally, I don't need any add ons because it is enough for me. We also tried their popcorn chicken. That was delicious too. Service is friendly and they come by to ask if you want a refill on your soup too. Came here twice already since opening.

Because of this, I decided to spend a few minutes waiting elsewhere, so that I wouldn't be trampled by people passing by. When I came back and asked about my name, it became clear just how cruelly this restaurant treats its clients. Clearly their fame has gone to their heads, because the server screamed at me to "be careful next time." I felt threatened and unsafe. What does "be careful" mean? Should I be afraid of poison or sharp objects in my food? Should I be checking my mail for suspicious packages? I wasn't even able to see the inside of this evil place because of how rudely I was pushed out.
