I recently wrote a bad review on Ted Wiens Automotive and Tire Shop. I was really upset about a couple different issues. I felt that they purposely did things to my car. The manager down at Ted Wiens on Fremont Street in Las Vegas, Yonni definitely went out of his way to make things right. He called me several times wanting me to come back so he could have my car checked through. I never went, but a couple of months down the road I needed another oil change. I pulled into another automotive shop and 10 minutes later they said they could not do it do to the fact that whoever had done the last oil change stripped the plug on my oil pan. They said I would need a new one and it was going to cost me 850.00. The next day I went to another place not saying anything to them about what the other garage had said. I left my car and when I came back they said they managed to get the oil changed but that they had a really hard time getting the plug off. They said whoever had done the last one tightened the plug so tight that it was really hard to loosen, and said next time they wouldn't be able to do it without me getting an oil pan. Ever since that day I started going through oil like crazy. I then took my car back to Ted Wiens and the manager Yonni had them put it up on the rack. He showed me what a mess it was under there but did say the plug had definitely been stripped. He told me if I bought the oil pan he would do the labor. That was done today. I am so very grateful for Yonni has gone above and beyond the call of duty and Ted Wien's is very lucky to have him. The way he handles every situation he definitely is a people person. He has a very unique way of handling situations and everyone comes out a winner! I have such gratitude and respect for this man. Came here because I was down the street dropping off my husband at the dealer ship. Upon arrival at the dealer ship I noticed I had a screw in my tire, hence the low pressure light coming on. Yelp it, had good reviews so I checked it out. The man at the desk walked outside with me and checked out the tire. He told me the screw was to far out and if it was leaking they wouldn't be able to patch it and I would have to purchase a new tire. He immediately flagged down another worker asked him to remove the screw and check if it was leaking. They checked it twice and it wasn't, so they filled up all my tires and sent me on my way, free of charge. read more

Brought in my 2014 Toyota Tundra for repairs. I just had a tire pressure sensor replaced but the warning light on my dashboard was flashing. Ricky is the man! My AC stopped blowing cold air. I brought it to my friend who works as a mechanic at one of the car dealerships to have my freon recharged. So he did but still wasnt working. He also vacuumed the tubes or hoses he said (idk what tubes since idk much about cars). So he suggested that it might be the compressor itself. So i have my protection plan and ted wiens is in network. Brought my car early morning. Ricky is so friendly, accomodating, and honest! He had my car checked, waited for about 2 hours, and found out that compressor is noisy and weak and suggested I have to get the AC package.. He called up my protection plan, and they would only approve "some" of what he suggested. He told me i have to leave the car overnight so he had one of his boys took me home. The next day, he called me up and said he eneded up calling the protection plan again and explained further what the damage was which they found when they took apart the compressor or something. So then my protection plan ended up covering everything. Since then, my AC is working perfectly fine! Kudos to the mechanics! And ofcourse to Ricky who made it happen and went above and beyond to have the procedures approved and covered by my plan! Thank you! This location is AWSOME!! I am visiting Las Vegas for EDC and my car broke down. Auto zone recommended this place and I am so lucky I went. From the moment I walked in, Steve Duerler took care of me, EVERY step of the way. My alternator was bad and he took time to explain everything to me and was just such a great guy! The entire staff was friendly, energetic and just darn nice. Coming from a woman who has no idea about cars, this was such a pleasant surprise. I am happy to report that I have gone back to the Ted Wiens store that did the repair work on my van for 10 years. If you have read about the fiasco I experienced at Royalty Tire and Brake with my Buick, you know that I had to change auto mechanics. Now, I am back where I belong. The mechanics are true to their advertising campaign ...."slightly obsessive" in doing it right and they are very competent. Why I ever strayed, I must tell you. (The owner of RT&B, Rudy, was a customer where I work and he promised me that he would take care of me.) So very happy to be back at Ted Wiens. I've learned my lesson. Loyal again. Took them almost an hour to patch my tire. After they finished they took forever to process my payment. Afterwards, one of their shop employees tried to stall and tell me there was something wrong with my car (which I know it wasn't). Most of the time I kept my eye on them so that they wouldn't sabotage my car or make up something just to get more money from me. I've had my Chevy truck for almost 9 years and it never leaked a drop of oil. After getting work done at this location while in Las Vegas, my truck has been leaking oil badly. I took it back to them and the lady behind the counter snapped at me for complaining. DO NOT take your vehicle here! I took my truck in for a tire rotation, balance, and alignment. I went down the street to run a couple errands and looked out the window to see my truck driving by. I got back to ted weins a little while later to see my truck not at ted weins but driving down boulder hwy at 65+mph. when It arrived back it had a different driver then before. I waited a little and some one else must have wanted to take it for a joy ride so out it went again. I went i nside to ask what was going on and all I got told was it was being "test driven". In total from what I could tell it was on 3 test drives (aka joy rides) and they put 10 miles on my truck. I still had to pay them for balancing my tires even though their was mud stuck to the rim so balancing did nothing. Once again DO NOT take your vehicle here! read more

I took my truck in 4 times to get my Air-conditioning fixed . First 2 times it was something different and paid over 1000. 00 to get it fixed .the third time after 3 months they said they wouldnt charge me the service charge when I went to pick it up it was 150.00 dollars more than what I was quoted. The 4th time was 3 days later so I asked for the corporate # and he gave me the general manager and she finally fixed it with no chatge . She was very apologetic . But I don't think I should have had put all that money when this company is a reputable company that stands buy there work. read more
