We came here to study, and honestly, it was a great spot for that! The café has very nice seating with a homey vibe--super cozy and the seats are actually comfortable, which made it easy to settle in for a few hours of work. The iced vanilla latte was a solid 8.5/10, smooth and flavorful. We also tried the donut (8/10) and the pumpkin bread (7/10)--both tasty, though not mind-blowing. Still, definitely worth getting something to snack on while working or hanging out. The only downside is that there are little to no outlets, so it's not ideal if you're planning to plug in for a long session. That said, the atmosphere more than made up for it. Overall: 7/10. I have never tried or heard of this chain before and wanted to check it out, with a sweet coffee in mind. When I saw the menu, there were fall drinks listed, and the Adventurer caught my eye because of the orange syrup in the drink. When I took my first sip, not only was the cream on top not flavored, but my coffee tasted like a regular cold brew with 0 hints of orange in it. I was so disappointed with my drink because all I wanted was a little orange coffee. Just a warning if you like sweet coffees, this place is not ideal. Visiting the area from SoCal, the last couple days I have been searching for an artisan coffee shop that clearly cares about what they do and has great coffee. This is the one! I just got drip coffee but it had a great flavor and was not overly roasted. I got a small pastry as well which was fine, pretty average. We come here often. My mom loves the almond croissant but they sell out fast. The seating is pretty tight but I love that they expanded the coffee shop from a few years ago. The Mexican Mocha here is so good!!! The coffee is nice and strong with just enough chocolate where it's not too sweet. Definitely on the pricey side starting at $6.5 though but gotta support your local business. This location was pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon with most tables full. It's super clean and modern with plenty of space to hang out or chill and work with outside seating. The best coffee in all of California! Nothing compares. The staff let me know that there was no white mocha available but they have their own version of it. Their drink is called a fake white - it's espresso, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla and milk. Mind blown! Soooo good! The staff is friendly, the building is pretty much always busy. Very little seating so first come first serve matters. I wouldn't expect to get a seat if you're just walking in, plan to wait. Appears to be a very popular college study facility. This place was cute! Our goal was to find a spot to drink tea and study and this was exactly what we wanted. We got 2 tea pots and I love that this place gives you an actual tea pot with mugs. Only docking a star because even though there wasn't really a line and it didn't seem too busy, we had a hard time getting a table which unfortunately made the experience a little more stressful. We didn't realize we weren't going to be able to get an open table until after we were walking around holding our trays with the tea pot so it was just a little awkward. The tea was good though! This location is very nice and close to many other places one may want to go for food and services. Busy with people that stay and very small parking area are make it sometimes difficult to get a seat for a bit. The outdoor seating is very small but well shaded most of the time. There is that front door that opens toward the east and one windy days, the wind from the west keeps pulling the door wide open. Visiting the area for a few days I decided to see what the Sacramento coffee scene is like and Temple is a great example of what it is! The shop is bright, lit very well, with white countertops ad wood accents throughout giving it a very modern but chill vibe. Now, the coffee itself; I had an idea of what I wanted and As I was looking at the menu, one of the baristas asked me if there were any questions I had that he could answer and indeed there were. I wanted a non-acidic roast and a drink that would highlight the taste of the coffee instead of another flavor. He recommended their espresso roast for it's low acidity as well as mixing it with brown sugar and a little milk for my drink, so I went with that and a shot of the espresso so I could taste it by itself The drink was good, a little sweetness, a little texture, and good coffee flavor. The shot was definitely more acidic than the drink but hey, that's straight coffee. It's been years since I've been back to this location. I was so surprised to see it fully packed on a Thursday morning! Every single table inside and outside was taken. It's definitely one of the smaller locations but that doesn't make it any less popular. The line was all the way to the door, but their process is so efficient (much like their other locations) that I was in and out in under 10 minutes. Your drink is ready by the time you get to the counter to pay, making it a seamless transaction. The baristas were all super friendly, great service as usual. I got my favorite Temple drink - the Thai iced tea. So refreshing and always hits the spot, never had a drink elsewhere like it (it's not your typical Thai tea you're thinking of). read more

This coffee establishment is awesome. It's always busy. You have to know where to park. The atmosphere is very laid back and packed with people. All the seats are always full. We shop here for our whole bean coffee because we have an espresso machine at home. All the flavors are always on point. The service is always wonderful. The crew is very attentive and friendly. Just be patient and wait your turn from left to right. This establishment is animal friendly. I've seen dogs come through on many occasion. The drinks we have purchased, I was impressed because they were helpful with a low sugar drink. The customers are even nice. The inside of this temple is so cute with a good variety of seating areas and is a very clean and open space! There is a small parking lot outside which is always helpful and appreciated! It is sitting on the corner of a street so getting in and out of the parking lot can be a little tricky! I thought the service was good and everyone was friendly! I didn't try anything special at this location, just my go to iced jasmine tea with honey and soy milk and it was prepared in a pretty timely manner! The perfect spot to get some studying done. There is a lot of 2 top tables so there's plenty of space. It does get very busy as most people have the same idea of using the space to get some work done. I got the Ethiopia pour over and my husband got the Costa Rica pour over. We drink single origin pour overs at home so it was a good comparison to what we usually enjoy. Both were very good and I enjoyed that it was served in a Hario so I could control the size of my pour. They also have a small pastry display in case you need a snack to keep you going. Would come back again to try other items. read more

It was needed badly and I'm so glad the brains behind Temple took the plunge. This Temple Coffee is located in a small outdoor strip mall on the South-East corner of Fair Oaks Blvd and Munroe. Parking can be a bit challenging with the limited number of spaces but the coffee is always worth the slight inconvenience. At this visit, we tried the Spiced Apple Chai (a limited offering for the season), a double latte, and blueberry muffin. We received such personal service from the gentleman at the counter. He explained that the Spiced Apple Chai normally comes with soy milk but he recommended that I try it with the oat milk. It was surprisingly delicious. I usually like my tea and coffee drinks with milk but I have to say that I'm now a fan of oat milk! The latte and blueberry muffin were delicious, too! It's been a long time since I've visited this location but I love that they've expanded the size of the shop by taking over the store next door. It's bright, beautiful, and spacious inside. We aren't from around Sac, and stopped here hoping for something better than Peets (off topic, but Peet's got way worse as they dropped real espresso machines from La marzocco and stopped training baristas) This place was meh. I ordered a latte with oat milk. while i was happy to see they used the superior oat milk from Califia ( and not that oatly crap that has industrial rapeseed oil in it/gmo) it was not great. the milk to espresso ratio was too high, making it less coffee flavour than a proper balanced ratio. my wife had a latte with cow gland juice and it had the same ratio problem last comment- the barista was not very friendly we drove our of our way to try this place, maybe we should have just gone to peets read more

Used to always buy their beans ever since they were a single location coffee shop. Since Covid the quality of their coffee beans became mediocre at the very best. I love temple coffee roasters to the point where I purchased the temple coffee passport and have visited every location. Although the workers are usually very nice even to the point of striking up conversation, I must say my experience at this location has left me feeling uncomfortable and awkward. I ordered the bai mu dan white tea. As a Chinese person, I was excited to try this authentic Chinese white tea. However after I ordered my barista looked at me with a blank expression, asked me to repeat it, and then asked if I meant the "silver needle." As a native English speaker, I don't think bai mu dan sounds like silver needle (the other type of white tea) at all. I had to explain "no, the other one." Then when the barista was informing the cashier of the order she referred to it as the "rare" tea. I am disappointed in this interaction and hope that Temple educates their workers on all of the items on their menu, not just the popular drinks. read more

Many return visits deserve an update. While this may not be my favorite Temple location, both in terms of access and layout, it is still a spot to pick up a cup brewed from some of the most quality beans in the Sac region. I usually go with either an iced mocha on hot days or a classic latte on cold days. They occasionally have specials as well. Every drink on the menu filters this place down to it's biggest asset - the beans. Temple has built a fast-growing empire based on quality coffee and it shows. Not only do they carry quality joe, it's a good meeting point. If you come outside of peak hours on a pleasant summer day you'll find a shaded patio that makes a good spot to relax and chat. It's next to a very busy intersection, so it's not quiet, but it does work if you are meeting businesses in the area. read more
