The display case alone is worth the trip. Macarons, cake slices, mousse cakes, tarts...everything looks unique. I went for the hazelnut praline flan and it was genuinely excellent. Rich, smooth, with that praline flavor coming through the whole way. There's usually a line, but it moves quickly. The space itself is lovely with high ceilings, big windows, trailing plants everywhere. A bit crowded even on a Monday morning though. Excited to work through more of the menu. The yuzu and black sesame options are calling my name.

Went on a Sunday around 1:30 pm parking was pretty challenging, but after some effort we managed to find a spot right in front of the cafe. There was a long line, and we had to wait about 15-20 minutes for our turn. I have to agree with other reviews about the service the interaction wasn't great. The staff member didn't seem very interested, and when I asked if my chocolate croissant could be toasted, she bluntly said they don't do that. I ordered a hot latte, which was just okay. I really wish the croissant had been warm it was quite dry and had a slightly burnt taste. Overall, it didn't feel worth the price. I've seen some reviews calling it overrated, and I'd have to agree. It was an average experience at best. I don't think I'll be returning I've definitely enjoyed the croissants and service at Sea Wolf much more.

Okay spot I came later in the morning for breakfast. I got stuck with work but luckily I missed the rush so I got served quickly. I ordered the cardamom brioche pastry and a latte. The bread was dry, I wish I asked them to warm it up. It was okay. Nothing spectacular, I've had better cardamom breads before. My coffee was average as well. The syrup was not sweet, very weak in flavor. They pulled a really good shot though, quality was top notch. Just make sure you ask them to warm up the pastries!

So it's been a minute since I've been to temple and wouldn't you know it, it's like their baker Christina Wood was a James Beard semi finalist ‍ huh who knew. Well based on the line that was outside the door, quite a few people! This place is a cute little corner shop that has room for seating both inside, outside and upstairs. You can also pre order a bunch of items, just make sure you do so 3 days in advance. Everything we had here was insane, I think out favorite was the mushroom quiche, the cinnamon cream cheese Cruffin and the Miso Caramel Shortbed that was the fanciest Stroopwafel EVER! lol try it you'll understand EVERYTHING WAS 5/5 Tiramisu Chocolate buckwheat shortbread Miso Caramel & Kinako Shortbread Mushroom Quiche Rye Pain Au Chocolate Cinnamon Cream Cheese Cruffin Grapefruit and hazelnut croissant Chocolate chip cookie

We went to Temple Pastries last month and decided to go all out with the order. I am so glad we did because the technique here is on another level. Every single item felt deliberate, intricate, and yummy. Here is the breakdown of what we got: * The Drink: We started with the Dirty Orange Mocha. It was delicious, the citrus note was bright but balanced perfectly with the chocolate and espresso. * The Savories: The Curry Donut was such a unique and flavorful bite. If you want a classic pastry done right, the Shallot and Gruyere Croissant is a must; the layers were incredibly flaky and the cheese flavor was rich. * The Sweets: This is where they really shine. The Passion Fruit Custard Cream Bun was a highlight, with a tartness that was super refreshing. The Horchata Donut and the Cinnamon Cream Cheese Cruffin were pure comfort food but elevated. We also loved the Pistachio Roll and the Sesame Macaroon, which had amazing textures and distinct flavors. The attention to detail in the lamination and fillings is obvious. It is rare to order this many items and have every single one be a hit, but Temple pulled it off. Great service too. Highly recommend!

Salted caramel cronut, Olive focaccia, gruyere and shallot cruffen and seeded sourdough

Love Temple pastries. This was my second time here and I'll definitely be back. I picked up a loaf of seeded sourdough, salted caramel cronut, a couple olive focaccia and a gruyere and shallot cruffin/croissant. All all were absolutely delicious. So fresh, so flaky so flavorful. I would definitely recommend them all. So challenging to decide which one I like best, but I guess the one which edged the others to the top of the competition was the salted caramel cronut - which had a crunchy caramel topping (like the topping of a creme brulee) over a flaky buttery croissant roll. The topping was the perfect balance of sweet with a hint of salt.

3.5 rounded to 4. Nice interior layout! Feel like would be a nice place to get some work done. Got their rye pain au chocolat and the hazelnut praline flan. Thought the flan pastry was unique and worth a try!

    The macarons and desserts!

The pastries they have available are incredibly good! I can personally vouch for: savory: shallot & gruyère and the rye ham and cheddar sweet: macarons (any flavor really you can't go wrong), chocolate and cocoa nib cookie, and the cinnamon cream cheese cruffin. The space this bakery is located in is cute with great natural light and many healthy looking plants. There is seating, however this place tends to get busy! So come prepared to stand in a bit of a line (it usually moves quickly). I would note that I haven't found the coffee to be particularly good and would recommend going elsewhere to grab a better coffee! I am excited to try more of their desserts.

One of the best bakeries in Seattle. The pastries really are outstanding the selection of baked goods and cakes are impressive. All well done and super tasty. Their drinks are just as good and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Love all the plants and light in the space. Parking in the neighborhood is available.

    shallot croissant

Got the latte and the coffee was just okay. The shallot & cheese croissant was sweet and savory. The service was okay. They refused to warm up the pastry, but maybe it's to not over-cook it? Either way the pastry was fine cold. The cafe was clean and well-lit through natural light. Plenty of plants and wooden tables for decor. Music wasn't too loud for conversation I think.

Strawberry macaron -a work of art!
    JoeAnna M.

Temple Pastries consistently provides delectable pasties and a beautiful, clean space to enjoy the treats they have to offer. The kouign amann is perfectly flakey with caramelized bottom. The strawberry macaron was soooo delightful. Perfect texture and flavor. Not too sweet, strawberry flavor came through perfectly. The inside was fluffy and airy and perfectly balanced in flavor and texture. It was a very memorable macaron. I have been to Paris a few times and they really go up at bat with the best of the boulangeries there. The fig and oat bar is tremendous as well. The hot chocolate could me more chocolatey imho but I loveee chocolate so there may be some bias there. Also, the sandwiches are good but typically leave me wishing they had a little something more, like having the English muffin toasted (maybe even with some butter) or some aioli on the sandwich. When I have been, it's often just egg and cheese on untoasted bread. Still good but would love to see that wow factor that I see in so many other of their offerings. Great place to stop for a delectable treat!

New place in the neighborhood! Writers block? Need inspiration? This place checks out! I love the vibe! Definitely worth trying the croissant loaf so yummy! All the pastries look delicious too! I took some home to share with friends! In the evenings it's a pizza shop. Grab a pie and a bottle of wine

A cute coffee and bakery with plenty of seatings and great lighting. Their pastries all looked really good so we had a hard time deciding on one. Asked the person at the register for recs and they're so dismissive...Didn't appreciate that so docking a star. Ended up with an espresso, matcha latte, and a Corn and Blueberry croissant. The drinks were decent, nothing out of the ordinary. Appreciated that the matcha was unsweetened though. The pastry on the otherhand was AMAZING. Pastry was still crispy even later into the day. Filling was creamy and unique with a nice hint of sweet corn.

On this visit ordered the "go to" , blueberry ginger scone, ratatouille sandwich, turkey havarti sandwich, banana bread, and some Americanos to go. The croissant was on the crispier side, especially with the almond crumble on top it was a bit too cripsy for me, but I tend to like soft and flakey pastries so it's probably a matter of taste. There was a TON of almond filling in the middle. I enjoyed the taste and texture but it was too much filling for me personally. I would have liked more croissant in my croissant, so to say haha. The chocolate was slightly dark which worked well with the sweet pastry and filling! Overall I enjoyed the croissant but it was a tad too heavy on the filling and cripsy/crunchy for me.

They have so many yummy options, but I settled on a mushroom and Gruyère pastry and an earl grey blueberry cruffin. The mushroom and Gruyère pastry was SO good!!! Buttery flaky layers of dough with a strong earthy mushroom flavor and savory cheese - an absolute umami bomb. We ate it the day after and threw it in the air fryer for a couple of minutes, and it was so delicious. The cruffin was huge! Topped with a delicious light Earl grey cream that wasn't too sweet. It was filled with a blueberry cream and was definitely very filling. There's a lot of sugar coating it, as is standard with cruffins, but it's a nice sweet treat. Through several visits: Baguette, Large ($7.95) - Great baguette with bubbling golden exterior complete with the perfectly baked crust even after waiting 3 hours before cutting in and eating. The interior has the perfect moisture level and is delightfully soft and chewy. The taste overall has a deep developed flavor. This is a great baguette. The only problem - the price. I can find ones for half the price that are maybe 80% as good as this one. (5/5) Seasonal Biscuit ($4.50) - This biscuit definitely isn't Southern-style. It's more of a drop biscuit, combining a relatively soft and tender interior with a nice exterior crust, without any flakiness or layering. The interior is almost cake-like in texture and crumb, and is plenty moist. They add plenty of fresh black pepper inside. It's distributed very evenly, giving a peppery bite with every mouthful. Parmesan is added to the top of the biscuit before baking, giving plenty of umami and richness but only on the upper layer. (4/5) Green Vinaigrette Cafeteria Style Pizza ($6.25) - The pizza is kept under a warming lamp, so it starts getting a little dried out after I assume a couple of hours spent there. I do love the base though - it's focaccia-like giving a really crunchy dark golden brown crust underneath, which supports the toppings. The pizza slice has lots of structural integrity and doesn't flop over. There's a base of fragrant concentrated tomato paste-like flavor which is topped with a very even layer of cheese. Since it's warmed rather than freshly baked, the cheese starts congealing a bit. The cheese is peppered with parsley, garlic, and a bunch of mustard seeds, giving a special zing. The toppings go all the way to the sides of the pie, making it great for people who dislike crust. Even though it's cafeteria style pizza that's kept under heat lamps, I quite liked it. I wonder if I can get a really fresh slice if I get there right at 11AM when lunch starts. (5/5) Chocolate Croissant ($6.10) - Great lamination with a very aesthetic honeycomb pattern. Baked on the harder side, causing fantastic crispy flaky layers to flake off, but also creating a darker golden brown character that is on the verge of bitterness. Nicely buttery soft and chewy interior. Chocolate is a darker variety, probably somewhere around 70%, so it has a pleasing balanced sweetness and chocolate flavor. It's not typical baton, instead seems to be a section from a bar. Still warm and melty even through I didn't eat the croissant until ~30 minutes after purchasing. When cooled down further, some red fruity notes start appearing, so this seems to be be pretty high quality. (5/5) White Sourdough ($12.60) - Now this is a loaf of bread. Superb crust, probably 2 or 3 times as thick compared to competitors, creating a supreme crusty bite with a chew approaching a hard crunch with almost caramelized molasses notes on the bottom. The interior is moist and tender with a pleasing slight sourdough tang. It's a superb piece of craftsmanship. (5/5) Kouign Amann ($5.80) - This is another heavier bake with some acridity development on the top surface. Unlike many other bakeries where the kouign amann is basically a differently shaped croissant with sugar glaze, Sea Wolf's version feels more in line with tradition. The crumb is denser and richer, more like brioche. There's interesting black speckling inside which I believe is due to the inclusion of espresso powder given the mild coffee-like flavor. The crust is again baked hard, but it's lighter and not as flaky as the croissant. They sprinkle just a bit of salt on top of a very light caramelized sugar glaze. It's not very sweet and I didn't find it too salty unlike some other reviewers. (5/5) Plain Focaccia Slice ($4.80) - Good quality olive oil, some salt sprinkled on top to boost the flavors. Light and airy interior, but the exterior is a little wan, being more light golden brown and lacking some good crusty crisp especially on the fried bottom. Quite oily. (4/5) Sea Wolf gives out free sourdough starter, which can be requested from the cashier. Since picking it up several weeks ago, I've gone through several feed/bake cycles for making sourdough focaccia. I've visited Sea Wolf 3 or 4 times in the last month. That's a testament to how high quality their pastries and breads are. I think the only thing stopping me from visiting more is thanks to the starter I got from them fanning my baking instincts. I bake so much now that I don't have any need to buy their bread! Note: Sea Wolf charges a 3% credit card fee. This is not noted on their menu - it only appears in the POS right before paying. Kind of sketchy. Bathrooms - Single unisex room

I will note that I haven't tried the breads, but as a non-morning individual, I do appreciate that they do tend to still have many items available even later in the afternoon (~1-3PM time frame). You will have to find street parking, but I've never had too much trouble in this neighborhood even on the weekend. Butter Croissant (3.75/5): I'll admit I'm insanely picky with my croissants and I think Sea Wolf's is just okay. I want a stronger crisp on the outside, something that almost shatters and makes a mess when you bite in, but the inside has a nice chew. Kouign Amann (3.75/5): I had a really fantastic time with this my first time picking it up, they have almost a crunchy sugar caramel crust on the outside with super buttery pastry inside. Unfortunately, my second time picking this up ended up being a miss, just stale and much to dry. Cinnamon Roll (1/5): The raisins are a nice touch, but this was awfully dry. Even the caramelized crus on the outside couldn't save this and charging extra for cream cheese frosting on top of a dry dough is criminal.
