Different from other tender greens location, I had a late night dinner since I was around the area. I usually go to the one in the valley but I decide why not try a different location. Basic run of the mill, healthy fast food. It's pricey, my guess is because everything is supposedly Fresh, grass fed, organic and locally grown. It was moderately busy, it took about 30 minutes for me and my mom to place our order, eat our food and go. They give you a buzzer for what idk since they serve you the food at the table. The cashier let us try samples of their drinks, the green monster is disgusting lol but you get a lot of juiced veggies, Agua Fresca wasn't sweet but has natural flavors, and the hibiscus tea was disappointing. My mom just ended up getting water and I got unsweetened green tea. Now the dining area it is very spacious but they wasted all the space by how they set up the tables, so even though a lot of space exists there's nowhere to sit. We eventually found a spot in between two other tables and there was no privacy all 3 tables could hear one another conversations. My mom wanted a straw for her water so I grabbed her one when I get back she wasn't to happy to find something floating in her water, and the straws they have are eco friendly card box material so they tend to get soggy in your drink after awhile. Also this establishment doesn't accept cash, card only but that's how this company will lose on money and future customers. We both ordered salmon plates, plates come with your choice of protein, a salad and side. My mom got kale, and mashed potatoes. I'm watching my carbs so they let me substitute a side for double salad and I got butter lettuce and mixed greens. The food was lovely salmon perfectly Cooked and seasoned, salad dressings not overwhelming, same experience goes for my mom. The only thing was paying $15 for this meal, I can purchase an entire salmon filet for that price but instead you serve a baby piece of salmon. Maybe it's apart of the portion control and how much people should eat but if that's the case lower the price. This is LA one of the biggest spots to get seafood, I would understand if we weren't near the ocean. I ordered online pick up for this location. The food was ready on time and the pick up process was smooth and easy. I ordered the steak plate with mashed potatoes and roasted veggies. My husband had the steak with baby kale salad and tomato soup. The steak was extremely chewy and we requested medium rare but it was definitely more medium. This was the same for both the plate and salad. The mashed potatoes were still good and the roasted veggies portion was generous. Tomato soup was decent. Overall, I will order again, but I'm disappointed with the quality of their protein these days. Since 2020 the portions of food have gotten smaller and they are using a different meat supplier. The chicken isn't as good as it used to be but you can't go wrong with the BBQ chicken. What can I say about the Tender Greens franchise but yaaaassss!! Seriously a place to go for great salads and affordable. I absolutely love this location....very chill and not as busy as the Culver City or Marina Del Rey one(no shade). The employees are very friendly and helpful. Like the other Tender Greens, this one also has outdoor patio seating which is a plus- you can totally people watch(I do !!! GUILTY...lol). Parking is a little tight however I've never had a problem getting a spot on the weekends in front of the restaurant. Important Tip when going to this location : They do not accept cash for payment of your meal only cards. However there is a tip jar on the counter for generous souls to contribute to the staff. I get my usual cobb salad(no bacon), which is my ultimate favorite. Sometimes on my cheat days I also get their mini carrot cake(shhhh..don't tell anyone) which can I say "awesome sauuuccee". Came here during a work lunch which was pre COVID. I've had tender greens before but was never that impressed. Waited in line for 15 minutes and ordered at the counter. You order at the counter and then sit down at a table where they deliver your food. They have water, napkins, and utensils available for you to grab on your own. Got my food in around 10 minutes...Once again, not really impressed. I get what they're going for here, healthyish food that is easy to produce and that is not unique. I ordered a bbq chicken with a Caesar salad side and mashed potatoes. Chicken was meh, salad was interesting in that it wasn't romaine but another type of purple lettuce. The potatoes were actually pretty good. The mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery, possibly one of the best I've ever had. The prices themselves were average for lunch and the portions were not large so you might go away hungry. They have some sides that might complement but I decided to forgo them. I like tender greens but today's experience was unpleasant. I ordered my usual steak plate (medium rare, mashed potatoes and arugula salad). All was good until I found a long black hair in my mashed potatoes, it happens. I told the person at the register who was very nice and took my plate back before i could request a refund. I told him i wanted it to go because by that time, honestly my hunger went away. The kitchen staff just seemed annoyed about my situation. After about 10 minutes i saw they had just left my bag sitting there without making an attempt to bring it to me (i was already dining in with my dad). When I went back there to inquire, I suggested to the person helping me that a discount would be nice given the inconvenience, the tall lady in the back (not sure if she was the cook or manager) told him to tell me no, but then proceeded to tell the staff in Spanish that I was taking advantage of the situation- yes I speak Spanish and heard exactly what she said. A simple no would have been sufficient as well as a simple apology for the inconvenience, but instead she proceeded to talk negatively about the whole thing. It was so annoying. read more

I came here for the first time and I got the fried chicken and mashed potatoes. The food is ok, it's nothing special. It came with two pieces, a breast and a thigh ( both are boneless ). The customer service is terrible. My friends and I all ordered online as we came during lunch hour. We went to the pick up counter, a couple of the workers made eye contact with me but ignored me and did not offer me any help. My friend asked for some help and she was ignored. I had to flag a guy down and ask if he can give us our online orders. When he gave us all our orders we were all missing our drinks. He guided us to the front to get our drinks. Yummy tuna nicoise salad with five - count 'em- huge hunks of ahi tuna which are a bit more well done than the touted "seared". Unfortunately, it was drowning in salad dressing. I was kinda shocked that it came with salad dressing on the salad, versus on the side at a place like this. It was definitely more than one serving size- more like 3... The hard boiled baby quails eggs were a nice accompaniment. Topped with capers, small kalamata olives, and wedges of crisped potatoes. Definitely a higher calorie salad option. The menu stated the greens were "baby greens" while some were, there was also iceberg. Spinach would be a great substitution. All my lady friends were very happy with their choices and gobbled them down. The line moves relatively quickly and there seems to be enough seating even during the busy lunch hour. Overall a good post-workout dining spot but the serving sizes are overkill even for a triathlete. read more

I want to give this place 5 stars but they are waaaayyyy too expensive. The food is delicious but the portions are too small for the price. For 4 adults and 1 child it was $93. Now this place is not a sit down, order at your table type place... this is an order at the counter and food will be brought to your table in 5 minutes type place... kindof like a slightly nicer fast food restaurant. Aside from that, the food is delicious. I had the falafels, tender greens salad, and mixed veggies... soo good although for a place called Tender Greens I wish I had more greens. Side note: it was very loud, I was practically shouting across the table.... turn down the music slightly and your guests will have a much more enjoyable visit. It was our first time at Tender Greens. My husband got the special and although it was OK, there wasn't much crab in his open face crab sandwich. The bread was good but very thick and hard to cut. He ended up disassembling it in order to eat it. He said it was OK but he wished there had been more crab. His salad was colorful and tasty. I had the fresh salmon, grilled, and it was very good. There was a light lemon sauce on it and that was great. The rice was plentiful and the spinach salad was tender and delicious. There was a good amount of salmon--about what I'd expected. I enjoyed my lunch a lot. The one problem: The restaurant is very noisy. I mean, NOISY. We had to raise our voices to be heard, and we were sitting at a table for 2. There are no sound-absorbing surfaces anywhere in the place, plus all these noisy people. The kitchen is open and you hear them too.Plus a sound track! Next time, we might try eating outside. We will try them again to see how things go when they might not be as busy. It could be that Friday noon is normally a busy time. read more

This is a 4.5 star from me. So this place is cute. Modern inside, fun vibe, nice aesthetics. The food is pretty when it's served. I enjoy that a lot. They have good vegan options and the staff tries to be knowledgeable about what the food is. When my order came out and was different than I expected (my falafels were just on the plate, not with any greens) they brought me a bowl of kale without hesitation. I was so pumped that Tender Greens was coming to South Bay, but was pretty disappointed w my first take out order today. Their kale salad w seared tuna is sooo good! I rave about it & crave it sometimes from my visits to their Santa Monica location. (1st pic is what I expected) Sadly, after this first visit, I got home & the seared tuna was so over cooked it looked like chicken - all white & tough to chew. It was not slightly white from searing & red on the inside like fresh tuna should look. (2nd pic is what I got) Also way smaller salad portions. After just 2 bites, my plate looked half way done compared to portions at other locations. Can't go wrong with Tender Greens, we enjoyed the new location. Food was good. We the place not half full the table service was slow. Slow on cleaning tables, checking on you. We didn't checked on until we was finished with our meals. I think the parking lot is small and poor design. They do offer parking in a garage short walk north of the restaurant. Fresh, slightly un-typical menu. Nice airy atmosphere. On our most recent visit my wife and I had two tasty salads. One nice thing is that the dressings are on the light side. I also had the chicken soup--which had a great, homemade quality. The mint lemonade is light and tasty too. In addition, the customer service is very good and prompt. I was surprised at how much I was in love with the seasonal vegetable side because I usually love the main entree portion of a meal the most. I'm actually surprised by how much I've enjoyed Tender Greens during my first two visits over the last few weeks. I always tend to think healthier food = not going to taste as good but that is definitely not the case here. So far I've tried the salt and pepper chicken and salmon - both of which are delicious. I usually get arugula which comes with a yummy lemony vinaigrette dressing, mash potatoes which have just enough butter to be tasty, or or the yummy brussel sprouts just depending on my mood. Service is always fast and super friendly - even when they are packed, which usually they are - which is appreciated. Final Verdict: Overall I'd highly recommend this place for someone looking for a great tasting, filling, yet healthier lunch or dinner option. read more

I can't give 0 stars but here we go. Very disappointed is saying it lightly. We came with my family to Tender Greens for my husbands Birthday and this place I "thought" had a few things I am able to eat as I have some food intolerances and never go out to eat since I have to ask 100 questions. I looked at the menu before going to this restaurant. I noticed they had certified wild caught salmon here, I was very excited about that. Only to find out they ran out... no problem. I understood this as we got there pretty late at night. I noticed they had butternut squash tossed in olive oil. I usually stay away from oils but olive oil on occasion is safe for me. I DEFINITELY stay away from Canola oil... I made sure to ask about the butternut squash, they said it was safe for me. I said you know I had the Happy Vegan plate last time, but I asked for it with no farrow or tabouleh since it has grains in it. They said we can add extra quinoa and hummus for you, I said great! I asked just to be safe what oil do you use on the hummus? And can you leave any dressings out of the greens, just give me lemon wedges. I asked them about their mixed green salad, I wanted to make sure there was nothing on it. The manager helping me asked me about my allergies and what diet I follow. I explained to her and she said, let me go to the back and find out about the hummus and the mixed greens. I said ok... she came back only to tell me that the person who was preparing the food in the morning ran out of olive oil, so most likely EVERYTHING INCLUDING the Advertised Butternut squash in olive oil was tossed in Canola...along with the Mixed greens... guess who sat at the table with no food... ME! Moral of the story here is... always ask what's in your food at ALL restaurants like four times or just stay home to eat. This is very deceiving and very irresponsible on their part. If someone really had a canola oil allergy and had some of the butternut squash that would've been horrible for them. read more
