    Seared Tuna Niçoise Salad

I love Tender Greens, and this location is solid! I usually get the Tuna Nicoise Salad, Chicken Cobb Salad or Steak Plate. Their food is always fresh and tasty. The veggies are crispy. The green beans are never overcooked, which is always a good sign that they know how to cook. It's very spacious inside, and there is plenty of outdoor seating too. Much better than Urban Plates, IMO.

I've already let management know, but the portion of fish you receive for $18 is just extremely disappointing. It tastes great, it's just really small. It's the second time I complain about the portion size. I just wish it wasn't so small.

    "Fried chicken plate"

I ordered the "fried chicken" plate With vegetables and french fries. The chicken was quite dry and everything was heavily "seasoned" with pepper! Black pepper. It made my throat burn with so much pepper. I guess its a "healthy" version of fried chicken but it was also not tasty. The breading they use is rather tough. I will not be returning for this plate. My hubby got a chicken soup. I tasted it, it was rather bland , kind of tasted like a campbells soup from a can. True this may be a healthy version of such dishes but it needs to be tasty too. I was not hapy with the food so we will not be returning here. Its my opinion. Some people may think this is the best food since sliced bread but to each his own. Im not bad mouthing this place - im just giving my review. Dont come for me!

    Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, salad

I came here at noon on a Friday and it was practically empty. That should have been my first red flag. I normally love Tender Greens but this location was terrible. I ordered a fried chicken plate with mashed potatoes and a salad and a mint lemonade. It took forever for my food to come out despite no one else being there. The lemonade tasted like cleaning chemicals. The chicken was barely fried and it was SOUR. The mashed potatoes were cold. The garlic bread was cold and soggy. I ended up barely eating any of it and then left. Horrible food.

I love tender greens but this piece of sea bass gets smaller and smaller every time. Big sided small entree. Not worth 23$

Jason and his staff are absolutely awesome! The food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious. Nice not to cook and still have a healthy bomb lunch. The Hibiscus was very tasty.

I'm so glad to have the opportunity to update my review from 2018. The negatives I mentioned then have been completely reversed!! First off, I still love the food, have been here several times over the past few months and if anything, the food is even better. Customer service is 6-Stars and I especially want to call out Jasmine who is the sweetest person while taking your order right on thru checking on your meal. Her infectious smile and positive attitude are the kind of thing that can brighten your day, make you smile and uplifts the dining experience. The restaurant, including the restroom, is spotless and has plenty of seating. The shared parking lot is medium sized and can get busy but there is a parking structure next door. The food always comes out hot, fresh and quick, something that can be key during a busy lunch hour. Bottom line: Consistently great food & customer service!

country-style fried chicken with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes

My first time at this Tender Greens! It was busy on a Tuesday during lunch since there are a lot of business nearby. We had also come during our lunch break, but were able to get a table for 2 in their outside area. I got the salmon salad and my fiancé the fried chicken plate with veggies and mashed potatoes. I loved my salad. The salmon was good, decent size, and the flavors were on point. It has a ginger dressing and some pickled veggies, yum! The fried chicken plate was also tasty! A bit too heavy for me for lunch but each dish was worth their price. The bread is also a little treat! So yummy!

Loved the place!! The food, the service and the staff was amazing would recommend coming here.

Receipt for the order we wanted, but got completely wrong order.

It was totally different... The man who sat us didn't even make eye contact, say hello, smile, in fact he seemed irritated and almost mad he had to seat us. It was so awkward. Our food was accidentally bussed away when we went to the restroom but Raul was nice enough to make sure we got our food remade. That was nice of him. Not his fault it was cleared. No manager came to say anything or talk to us. We got completely ignored by management. There was also another server, I wish I asked his name but didn't, and he was extremely kind and helpful. He was honestly a bright light to a pretty underwhelming time. The food- ahi poke was nice and refreshing, ribs are always good, but the desert was totally lacking! I mean the chef special cookie was a small square with a mini ice cream, and I mean mini (it was in the condiment container when we took it to go). They forgot my daughter's ice cream. The French dip my husband said was good. Butter cake was unfortunately thin and mushy compared to how I remember it being.

The Mediterranean menu is inventive and amazing top to bottom. Start by heading to nomadsouthbay.com and sign up for their email list to get a free hummus appetizer. It's $16 on the menu and comes with a still puffy from the oven flat bread (pita). It's worth the money, but definitely worth joining the email list. After the hummus, we split five dishes for the four of us. The roasted cauliflower is straight forward and delicious, served atop a lovely tahini and turmeric sauce. The kale salad was light and delightful. The lamb kabob plate was exactly what you want in Mediterranean food. The steak atop risotto, a favorite from Jackson's (the prior establishment here), was near perfect. But the star of the show was the Salmon Esquites--perfectly cooked salmon over fresh corn, lime, crema, and pinto beans. I am salivating writhing this! And I'm going back soon!

We were not in a big hurry but we didn't want to have a two hour lunch. When you first walk in, you can clearly see the bar area directly off to your right. It was completely empty. But, I wanted to sit at one of the tables there are they have TVs above the bar. Something to watch in the background during our meal. I notice that there were about four tables taken in their "outdoor" area. So, no busy. We were seated fairly quickly but then it took about 5 minutes before someone came over to offer us water or to order drinks. Seemed like there were only two people working the floor and they seemed a bit ruffled. Overall, for the limited number of patrons who were in the place, I thought we'd get more attention, or at least get it quicker. Once nice, thing, they have some specials daily. My wife ordered the tacos and they were good. I ordered the steak and fries. The steak was good but had a bit of sinew in it, making several pieces chewy. When I needed a refill, I had to flag down one of the two servers. When I wanted our bill, I had to flag down the server. Just seemed odd, for a place that only had 6 or 8 tables occupied (at this point) that we would have to flag them down for service. As said, overall, disappointed and wasn't the mood we wanted to be in before our matinee. Hope your experience is better than ours and...enjoy!!!

Unable to locate a restaurant as we drove aimlessly down Artesia Blvd, I'd decided to search the Google Map Application "Restaurants nearby" which led us directly to choosing this simple and emaculate cafe housed in an impressive artistically designed building that, I was concerned, might be a bit more on the fancy side. To my delight, it was an airy and welcoming atmosphere where we were immediately welcomed with a smile by a genuinely warm young woman (Anna E.) whom was as helpful and amiable speaking English as she was Spanish with us! With only one hour for breakfast, we each experienced the smoothest most delicious coffee which is every bit as smooth as the coffee I grind and prepare at home, and I daresay it may be even better! My 1st cup with cream and sugar was remarkable, and this was followed by the breakfast burrito that was a cut above many others containing the perfect balance of scrambled eggs, sausage links cut the perfect size, a small amount of hash browns, and white cheese. This was just the right amount to share along with the french fries (crinkle cut) we also shared. My second refilled cup of coffee finished an amazing breakfast and was taken simply black. This was the nicest finish to a remarkable breakfast, and I look forward to coming to enjoy the live music they have on a specific day I cannot recall, but Sheny and I pinky promised with Anna E. to return for more of their delicious fare we have merely tipped the scales with what they have to offer. I'm already planning on bringing more friends even though no one I know lives nearby! Lastly, this five star restaurant may be down to Earth, but it also has the cleanest bathroom I have experienced outside of very neat homes of families! Visit The Great Room Cafe, and you'll have a Great experience you'll wish to make extra time and room for soon! The night I went in they were having a large event in the way back, so I was happy to see that. There was only one person taking orders, providing service for that event, and delivering food to everybody and I wish I had written her name down because she was super friendly and super helpful and got everything right with my order!
