Taco and Chili Relleno combo $24
    RoseMary F.

This family-owned and operated restaurant has been in business for 45 years. It's a staple in the East Los Angeles area. The family recipes originated in Zacatecas, Mexico have been passed down from generation to generation. The traditional dishes, house-made sauces keep their loyal customers returning. The colorful restaurant decor is very welcoming. One wall has awards, newspaper articles and proclamations from elected officials that recognizes their contributions to the community. I recommend dining during lunch for the combo meals $15. Happy Hour specials are available Tuesday-Friday from 3PM-7PM. My dinner for two was $60 (coffee and soda, no alcoholic beverages). You will enjoy the service and authentic food. Sincerely, Rosemary

Let's start with food, I came here with my two brothers, and all three of us shared the same opinion nice presentation food and service different story. We went on Mother's Day and asked for a booth as my brothers stand over 6'3 (they wanted to be comfy) we were denied although all booths were empty. So our introduction was already weird from the start. Nevertheless we proceed to order our food. They're only a few other guests in the restaurant we could count the tables on one hand. We ordered enchiladas , Chilaquiles , shrimp tacos , sope & chile relleno (our experience is well endowed) they were out of nearly everything on their menu which is why everything is so different - add more Serrano peppers to your sauce and season it with chicken bouillon!! Sauce was not mild it was tomato puree. Everything had the same flavor I think we just went on an off day because the presentation was amazing !! Service was great !!!! Huge shoutout to our waitress who was doing her best !!! To the man who was there that day making seating arrangements. You should be more than obliged to give customers the option to make requests on where they sit especially when it's empty and continued to stay empty throughout the duration of our 1 hour reservation.

This place will now be my to go place when I'm in the area. Everything about this business is great ! Super clean restaurant and restrooms. Food is delicious and authentic Mexican home made flavor. I had the combination plate w/chile relleno and enchilada. It was different from other restaurants. The chile relleno wasn't greasy and super tasty made w/perfect batter ,the enchilada had my Tia recipe just right ! Finished my meal with a Spanish flan with rum Perfect size and made in house. They're a potato made in a sauce served as a side dish ,ridiculously good with many flavors . Service was very hospitality.

Happy hour!!! 1.50 tacos and tostadas!!! Come one come all!!!

This place has been around since The 80's. Great food specials. Every day they change and your new favorite will be Weds. Breakfast after church can be busy but they will accommodate you. Their own parking lot and closed Monday's!

We've been here a handful of times. What I love here is how fast they serve their food. You aren't waiting ages, everything comes out fast and it's also delicious. The chilaquiles here were so tasty. I also love the coffee here! Ambiance is cozy and friendly. Feels like home.

In my eyes, Teresita's is one of ELA's best Mexican restaurant. With its classic Mexican dishes to festive ambiance, and impeccable service. You won't be disappointed by coming here and will have a great dinning experience. We came today for Sunday Brunch to celebrate my wife's step mother's birthday. We were a party of 6 and got seated pretty quickly. Our waitress immediately greeted us and took our drink order and brought chips and salsa to our table. I had the egg combination that came with potatoes, beans, and bacon. My wife had the chilaquiles that came with beans, potatoes, and eggs. Both dishes were incredible and so delicious. The entire table enjoyed their meal and we all had a great time celebrating the birthday girl. Our waitress was amazing and brought Flan with a candle which just made our step mom's day. This is definitely our go to spot when in the area, we've been coming here for years. We always recommend this spot to family and friends. I've brought co-workers here and they'll drive from the OC to eat here.

Enchiladas with unmelted cheese and no flavor. Salsa that came with chips, had no flavor, no spice, nothing. No plans on ever going back.

The owners are always welcoming, friendly, and genuinely make every customer feel at home. Their customer service is exceptional and one of the main reasons my family and I keep coming back. The food is amazing! Their chicharrón burrito is the best I've had, and the chilaquiles are always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Their coffee is just as impressive--they roast their own beans, make their own café de olla syrup, and you can even buy their coffee beans to enjoy at home. Every cup tastes fresh, rich, and authentic. I also love the atmosphere. The artwork throughout the shop is beautiful and gives the space so much personality. It's the kind of place where you want to sit, relax, and enjoy your coffee. Another thing I appreciate is that their prices are more affordable than many other coffee shops, especially considering the quality of the food, coffee, and service. My kids absolutely love coming here, and it's become one of our favorite family spots. If you're in Boyle Heights and looking for incredible coffee, delicious food, beautiful local art, fair prices, and some of the kindest people you'll ever meet, Picaresca is a must-visit. I can't recommend them enough!

It varies who you get, alot of attitude, eye rolls for no reason. Oddly enough, unless you're someone well known they will go over the moon for you. Saw it the other day bring them water salsa while their other customers have to get everything but, i digress. The mulato breakfast sandwich, its flavorful! I do recommend trying it if its your first time and want something not so heavy. I like the chilaquiles, its better when you add a fried egg. Soo yummy, savory, and flavorful! As for the coffee, if you like a pick me up... and a coffee that isn't sweet but strong. I suggest a refresher drink (tonics). The coffee is sugary and you unfortunately cant taste some of the coffee. If that's your preference, we'll i recommend. Besides that, the environment is lovely and art they have. Though its a hit or miss with staff especially if you like friendly service.

You can really taste the quality in every sip, and it's clear they take their sourcing and preparation seriously. The minimalistic interior is also a plus for this location. **Horrible Service!**…read more I've been coming here for a while, and I've always had good experiences with the staff. Unfortunately, my visit today was completely different. I ordered two lattes and one strawberry matcha, but the cashier entered my order incorrectly. When my drinks were handed to me, I realized they weren't what I had ordered. I let the employee know about the mistake, and while he remade the drinks, both the cashier and the employee handing out the drinks were rude and came across as if they didn't want to be there. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What was disappointing was the poor attitude and lack of customer service. A friendly apology or a positive interaction would have made a big difference. I genuinely enjoy the drinks here, which is why I keep coming back. However, if guests are going to be treated with this kind of attitude, it makes me question whether I want to return. I hope management addresses this because the quality of the drinks deserves customer service that matches.
