Yesterday was my first time eating here and the fat Mexican guy taking my order was so rude. He was so irritated that I didn't know exactly what I wanted to order. I payed by credit card and was even gonna tip but says tip is cash only and told me nevermind it's ok I don't have to tip. After the food came the chicken was dry and not thigh meat as I expected. The Korean BBQ ribs were under cooked as well. I asked for more teriyaki sauce and he said its on the table while rolling his eyes. It looked like soy sauce to me so I thought the teriyaki sauce would be in a warm pot in the kitchen. Remember it's my first time here. He says something in Spanish to the other employees so I look over at him and had to let him know that he doesn't have to be so rude and annoyed that it was my first time here. This is my new favorite spot to grab lunch! Their food and service are excellent. The meat(s) are so juicy, tendered, and flavorful you will crave it again the next day! The food is awesome! And the prices are fairly decent. But I didn't give 5 stars because heavyset Latino guy was pretty rude, I understand if I'm rude and difficult, go ahead and give me attitude but, I walked in for a pick up order and told him I had a "teriyaki rice bowl" togo, and with attitude he looks at me like a dumba** and says what do you mean..... On the menu online/yelp it says "#14 Teriyaki Rice Bowl" and with his attitude he said so you ordered just a rice bowl togo just rice.... I had a togo order hello!!? You heard me fine and clear over the phone but when I pick it up, you decide to give me a snarky attitude.... Totally unnecessary.. I've worked in the food industry for many years but I have never picked on a customer like that. By the way, you shouldn't be handling raw shrimp in the front counter if your going to be touching cash, and handing it to me, then go back and NOT wash your hands and touch the shrimp again. I walked here from my work earliest this week. The vibe was chill and not really busy, as it was noon on a Thursday. I liked that we were greeted as we walked in. I wanted some healthy chicken and rice and ended up getting half chicken breast skewered & tonkatsu chicken (wished it was pork - but they stopped serving because nobody was ordering - per the owner). The chicken skewer was great, the tonkatsu chicken was gross & overcooked - pretty much burned. I was on a hour lunch break so I could not request a replacement. So avoid the tonkatsu chicken and stick with the chicken break skewers. read more

Service and downright rudeness can definitely overshadow the quality of the product. I really love their chicken, shrimp and yellow sauce and the price is more than fair for their teriyaki plates. With that said, the cashier/cook has been repeatedly rude and I will not be patronizing the establishment in the future. There are tons of similar options with friendly staff members. The staff at teriyaki me roll their eyes at you when you ask to split a bill (that you already asked for when ordering over the phone) and snap at you when trying to use a condiment. The parking situation is also atrocious. I feel my money will be better spent elsewhere. read more

My concern was ordering a 7 plate order for an office party and having the whole staff including myself, asking and wondering whether or not what we just ate was real chicken. This place is great for people who hate flavor! I mean, if there's something on your menu that sucks, just take it off your menu. I ordered the yakisoba. It was some tasteless noodle fried in oil. It's a good thing I asked for teriyaki sauce, because I needed it for the flavoring... except the small sauce container wasn't enough for what it needed. Glad we found this place - it's surprising how hard it is to find a decent teriyaki place. The staff was friendly and the food came out quick. It felt like a combination of teriyaki and middle eastern food, but that's what Glendale is all about, right? I had the combo kabobs, with chicken, steak and shrimp. Everything was tasty, and I cleared my plate. My kids shared a chicken and rice bowl and a bowl of noodles. They were both very happy, and loved the extra teriyaki sauce they put on the table. Love teriyaki me! Almost always grab their sirloin and get the salad rather than their rice with tempura. The meat is always juicy and their salad has this mustard dressing that tastes amazing! Parking is a bit of a hassle but there is free parking a block away for an hour and half. Place is small so if you don't like confined areas just grab your food and go but otherwise its a nice little spot in Glendale.The workers are always friendly and helpful.
