It also has a pot sticker, tempura vegetable and fried wonton. Nice sample appetizer. They also have daily specials on a board near the cashier. The sauce they have here on the side is amazing! Delicious combo meals and good customer service. My go-to order is the #8 (chicken and steak) with brown rice. During the busy lunch rush, I will call in my order. The person answering the phone always says "Okay, it will be ready in about 10-15 mins". I work across the street, so I actually get there in less than 5 minutes from my phone call, but it's always ready by the time I pay. I am willing to pay the extra $1 for brown rice, which is not unheard of. This will usually make my meal cost over $10, but since I am always satisfied when I eat here, I do not hesitate to pay. For those who are on a budget for lunch, I recommend getting a side order skewer. It comes with a bed of rice and some sauce, so it can definitely make for a substantial meal for pretty cheap. The quality of the food is top notch. The meat is always grilled and is always delicious. I like that I can get this meal with brown rice and the food is not fried. The business is owned by an older Korean couple. They do not make for much small talk, but they try to provide good and fast service. My only warning is that they add 50 cents for card payments. You should be prepared to pay cash if you get as annoyed at the extra card fee as I do. read more

I learned from my college days that Yoshinoya is a 'just say no' kind of a place, so this is a nice way to indulge my desire for sweet sauce with rice. The menu is large, with many options. I appreciate the option for brown rice, as well as the plain steamed rice. The hot sauce selection is a nice way to kick it up a bit. I really think that is the Korean influence there-love it! I am a longtime customer of Teriyaki Plus but was very disappointed tonight. I tried to place an order over the phone but their phone does not work- it rings once then drops the call. It was not an issue on my end, as I tried more than one phone to reach them. So I went to place an order in person, but discovered that they do not enforce their own Covid guidelines. They state, "only 4 customers inside at a time", and yet people kept piling inside. I did not feel comfortable and left before ordering and took my business elsewhere. We recently moved into neighborhood and were interested in trying something new that evening. I offered up the idea of Teriyaki Plus. He agreed and we made the walk to the little shop next to the Starbucks on Topanga Canyon. The inside is fun to look at with the area behind the counter looking like a food vendor store front in Japan. The fish are pretty and come in some different color combinations. The menu is on the wall and is easy to read with the food being pictured so you can see exactly what you will be getting. My husband got the Katsu Chicken and Beef and I enjoyed the Veggie Tumpura. The food was a little over $20. The wait was short for our take out order. The owner at the counter showed us our food and explained to me that the rice and salad were in a different container instead of letting me figure that out. The owner is super friendly and I am excited that we found a new place that we like. Getting the food home and ripping into it was like heaven on earth. The tempura was lite and crispy. I normally don't like onions, but the onion in the tempura was sweet and the batter was savoury creating a good contrast of flavors and textures. My husband loved his Katsu Chicken and Beef that he ate so much that he was unable to move. We love this place, and we cannot wait for order from them again!
