Who wants a torrent of meat? Churrascaria is a fantastic way to eat a ton of meat, and Texas De Brazil serves this purpose admirably. I got lucky when I met my parents there for a late birthday dinner and was able to get a table without a reservation. The servers and staff made sure we understood how everything worked, answered questions on the drinks and specials at the salad bar, and set us loose. The pricetag for dinner here is expensive, but you get enough variety (and quality) in the meats and sides that I think it was worth it, especially considering that the price is for all you can eat. If I had some nitpicks, I didn't really like the parmesan crusted chicken, the leg of lamb was a bit hit or miss, and the drink prices for cocktails and wine by the glass was a bit high, especially considering how much you do pay for dinner service. Those are all relatively minor, though - if you're looking for a good "splurge" dinner, this is a fantastic option. read more

We came out to celebrate a birthday we had 20 people in our party and we only had one waitress and she wasn't equipped to handle a large group of people. We were asked to put our checks on one check. She demanded that we give her twenty percent. She also lost one of the guests credit card then af collecting out checks she returned them not to us but put them in the mi of the table. The birthday girl was supposed to get a free piece of cake ok but we didn't get it until we were ready to leave and some people had left so there was no singing happy birthday. Also the meat was tough couldn't understand what we were getting. For the price it should have been memorable for a good time but instead it was memorable for a rude waitress, and tough meat and a lost credit card and no singing happy birthday. Will not be going back to Texas de Brazil Columbus Ohio. Would have been better off going to LonChornobyl at least we would have known what we were getting. read more

Talk about a party in the mouth! Texas de Brazil was an absolute delight from start to finish. Their salad bar is high quality (there is an entire bowl of thick strips of bacon) and their meats are an endless, tender, juicy, flavorful stream of joy. We wouldn't regularly come here because of the high price of admission, but lunch time on the weekends is roughly half price and a fantastic value. At $25 for lunch, $45 for dinner; this place isn't cheap but you can certainly get your money's worth. The salad/cheese bar is no slouch either. Off the top of my head, I can remember 5 or 6 different types of cheeses, and smoked salmon and shrimp to boot. My only real complaint is that sometimes it felt like we were waiting excessively long for meat to be brought to our table, despite it not being that busy. If you want to save a few bucks, the lunch menu offers nearly the same meat options, for about half the price. It's a great deal if you can make it in at that time of the day. read more

Came here for a large birthday party on a Saturday night with about 20 people. We were seated in the larger room at the front of the restaurant where it was a bit more secluded. We had 1 waiter serving us the entire night and the poor guy was dripping with sweat, but he did a great job. I have no idea who in management decided it was a good idea to put 1 waiter in a room of 22 people, absurd. It was also extremely hot in that room and apparently Easton only allows them to raise or lower the temperature by 5 degrees so for a while there wasn't much they could do...eventually it cooled off on its own but they should definitely put some fans in that room. The food itself is good. The salad bar had lots of options and a good layout. The meat was good too, it was cooked well and was tender. The guys carrying the meat didn't come for a little while but once they did they kept coming which was great but then suddenly they all stopped...not sure why as there was no indication from our group to do so. Once the plates were cleared we were ready to eat the cake we brought in. It would have been nice if we were told that they only had 1 small coffee pot for the entire restaurant before we cut the cake, as we had to sit around for 20 min waiting for coffee. I get that this isn't a dessert place, but come on, invest in a coffee maker or at least take coffee orders in advance for a large party. read more

This used to be one of our family's favorite restaurants but our experience yesterday was disappointing. The server was nice and helpful but the quality of the food has gone down. We order medium and medium well meat and all of it came out burnt. The table visits with the meat were less frequent and lamb is now alacarte at $9 for 4 lamb chops. This was my first trip to a Brazlian churruscaria. I have to start by saying my first impression was "Wow!" The decor in this place is beautiful. We had a table of 10, so we were seated in our own semi-private room right across from the wonderful salad bar. Our table was made from a beautiful piece of wood, a single piece from what had to have been a gigantic tree. We were greeted by a friendly waitress who explained the dining experience to us. And, for me, the churruscaria is about the experience as much as it is about the food. We were invited to enjoy the salad bar, which had a nice variety of green, meats, cheeses and dressings. We were served hot cheese rolls which were delicious. The meal consists of a never-ending parade of meat on skewers. We were told the meat would be medium rare, but that we could order it cooked more or less done. The service was great. The meat came at a fast enough pace that you could certainly eat as much as you wanted easily (or as much as you could hold). There were garlic mashed potatoes as a side and fried bananas to "cleanse our palates" between meats. The bananas were delicious. The potatoes were just OK. If I hadn't been told they were garlic potatoes, I'm not sure I would have known. Now, for the meats. There was a good variety including parmesan chicken and different cuts of pork and lamb. Two cuts of sirloin, filet mignon (bacon wrapped and not bacon wrapped), chicken parmesan, pork parmesan, pork ribs, leg of lamb, lamp chops, flank steak and a Brazilian sausage that had a little kick to it. The meat was not medium rare, for the most part tending to be overdone.. Some of it was quite overdone. The House Sirloin was delicious and when the one the guy was carrying turned out to be too done for my liking, he quickly had another one fired and out to me in just a couple of minutes. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. I felt a little rushed as the meat started coming before I had the opportunity to finish my salad plate. I had some difficulty gauging how much I ate since there is never much food on your plate at any one time. I didn't leave feeling stuffed though. The quality of the meat was just OK. Nothing great. The filets for example were cut so small there was no way they were ever going to get them medium rare. Overall, I think the price was pretty reasonable for what you got. No appetizers necessary, no dessert (I couldn't even think about dessert). I had one glass of the house cabernet sauvignon which was $9.00- not crazy for a high end restaurant. Due to its prices (not to mention the ridiculous amount of food I ended up forcing inside of me), the first time we ate here we vowed we wouldn't do it again for 6 months. We lied to ourselves. Aside from the gourmet cold salad bar, and the smaller hot bar full of treasures like a delicious lobster bisque, the creamiest au gratin potatoes you've eaten, and perfectly cooked rice and beans, there's meat. Lots and lots of meat. They give you the spiel about however long the meat has been coated in salt and cooked this way and that way, but you're already drooling. People are walking around the dining room with meat impaled on swords. Yes. You read that correctly. They are literally slicing freshly rested meats directly on to your plate... from a sword. The alcohol is good. A fruity strong rum drink I couldn't even attempt to pronounce, let alone spell, will put the nice buzzing touch onto your meal if you can stop yourself at only drinking two. At 10 bucks each, it's not hard to stop, but it is an internal debate over whether or not you want another, especially following the pounds and pounds of salted animals you've just devoured. This place is great. I eat there any time we can scrape some change together. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars was that we went almost our entire meal last time without being offered any filet. I understand this may sound petty, but they were literally walking by our table with skewers full of filet and not offering any to us. As a steak lover that cannot be overlooked, especially when they were bypassing us for the other side of the dining room. Toward the end of your meal a manager will usually ask you how your meal was and if you'd like anything in particular. This is how we got our filet, and it was glorious. Eat here. Spend money. My husband and I have been coming there since it opened and have yet to have a poor experience. The management is always present and attentive. I find this to be unique to this restaurant. At most, the management staff at other places just mill around, talking with a few tables, not caring about you unless you are ready to sue and mostly laughing with the servers. Texas de Brazil is miles ahead of any competition. Management is constantly within eyesight and makes multiple rounds to ensure the highest satisfaction for their guests. I feel like a valued person when they speak to me, instead of a chore, an inconvenience or like I'm not good enough to be there. They treat us like family. The servers are so incredible! William was funny, charming, witty and highly efficient. Our table wanted for nothing. He spoke to my husband and I and made our experience all the more pleasant. I don't know how he does it, but William seemed to magically appear and take care of our needs before we even asked. Not only that but I had a favorite wine that I could not remember the name of... But I could describe the bottle! William knew which wine I wanted from my description of the bottle, who else can do that?! As for the food, if you get the lobster bisque (which you must! It's better than anything Cameron Mitchell has to offer.) add a few of the spicy shrimp for an amazing twist. I'm not entirely sure that I can adequately describe the meat. It is just something that you must experience to understand. Each bite melts away in your mouth as it is so soft, tender and full of flavor. Look, you go to Texas de Brazil for the novelty, the excessive amount of meat and for the service. The salad bar is also lovely and plentiful. We sat by the front window and it was amusing to watch people outside stop to watch the waiters fill our plates with red meat. It was my first experience at a Brazilian steakhouse and we did have a great time, but... My biggest issues are the salt and the price. No kidding, I gained 5 pounds in water retention overnight after eating at this place. I'm a fan of southern-style country ham, but even this surpassed it in terms of insane saltiness. So, if you've got hypertension - watch out. Also, there's no way I could eat enough to justify the price. I'd much rather spend my dollars on a great meal at Alana's, Mitchell's or The Rossi. Certainly worth trying once in your life, but that's probably enough for me. read more

If I were to go back, I'd probably just stick with this. If you go, hope you don't mind "Brazilian Gauchos" stalking your table for turned-over coins to deliver dry, overdone carved meat that you must pull off the skewer with a special tool. I think the food quality has gone downhill a little- still good, but not great. The service was just so-so. They have two sets of doors and the management had the outer doors propped open. Every time someone would come in there would be a giant rush of cold air. Double sets of doors create an airlock so this does not happen,,,,,,,if the outer set is closed. Glad we visited this place while visiting my brother-in-law. Starting out with the salad bar, I probably don't have much to add to what others wrote, but will note that it was BIG, had lots of options for everyone, and you could make a meal out of it (in fact, my wife - who doesn't eat beef or pork - did). Some highlights for me were the asparagus with marmalade, the Brazilian vinaigrette (like a vinaigrette with salsa), and the charcuterie and cheese section. This was a great dinning experience. It is true that when you leave here you will be stuffed. The salad bar was amazing and the selections were vast and fresh. The lobster bisque was very good The waiting staff, from the hostess to the manager, were terrific and did everything they could to make sure you enjoyed your dining experience. The meat selections are carves at your table and we tried everything. The lamb and bacon wrapped filet were two of my favorites. My only complaint was that a couple of the beef selections were very salty. I am quite a fan. My husband and I have been to other Brazilian Steakhouses, and this one by far is the best! The staff if very attentive to you! They are checking often if you're ok, need any refills, and if the meat isn't cooked to your liking, they will cook it to your preferred temperature, and bring it back to your table. The 'salad' bar is excellent. It has the typical salad bar items, in addition to fresh cheeses, premade side salads such as tabuli, couscous, potato salad. You have side dishes of mushrooms, white rice, beans, and lobster bisque soup for sides in addition to the cheese rolls, garlic mashed potatoes, and caramelized bananas that are brought to your table. The meat is fantastic. The gauchos walk around, and offer meats such as filet, bacon wrapped fillet, beef ribs, parmesan crusted chicken, sausage, sirloin, and I believe they rotate others as well. This IS a bit expensive, but well worth the trip on special occasions. You definitely will not leave hungry! read more

I visited this location about a week ago and I'm still thinking about the food. Previously I've been to the Detroit location, and I had a great time there. I happened to be in Columbus on business and thought I'd visit this one. They were very accommodating, I'd made reservations, but had to call and push them back and they had no problem with that. We were seated within 2 minutes, and the restaurant itself was very nice. A little dark, but that's part of the ambiance. What wasn't part of the ambiance was the noise. It was a saturday night, I understand that. But even if this isn't quite at the 'fine dining' level, I wouldn't expect it to be so loud! On to the food, it was amazing. The leg of lamb and filet mignon were my favorites, but I couldn't resist a bit of bacon wrapped chicken either! I love my meats cooked medium, so that was great, though a few pieces were a bit more rare than I liked. The meat servers were very friendly, though I will say that they weren't quite as well circulated as they might have been. Late in the meal we started seeing cuts of meat that hadn't been present in the hour and a half we'd been there so far. Regardless, the meats were excellent, and I loved the garlic mashed potatoes. I will say that the salad bar didn't really pull my interest much. Not such a big deal, except they call themselves the steakhouse even vegetarians will love, so I'd expect a bit more interesting selections. It seemed mainly to be a lot of cheeses and single vegetables, with a few additions to mix things up. I am very disappointed in the quality of service and selection of food at the Columbus Ohio location. I Have dined at other locations around the country and everything was going. However this location was disappointing, the decor is sparse and disorganized. Waiter was informed at beginning that a person in our group does not like medium rare beef or the site of red meat and we requested some variety of the beef to be cooked to medium well . The waiters was not told and they sat the meet skewers on table right next to them which caused them to be nauseous. After the second waiter sit red meat next to them I finally had to go get a manager to get them to approach other side of table. I asked several times to have some chicken or pork brought to table so the person that was waiting on cooked beef to come and it took a very long time to get some, this caused the rest of group to wait so we could all eat at same time. I had high expectations for Texas de Brazil's all-you-can-eat-meat-and-salad-bar, but left feeling kind of let down. The food wasn't bad, it just wasn't that impressive. Waiters continuously brought out NY strip steak, flank steak, leg of lamb, lamb shanks, parmesan-crusted chicken legs, parmesan-crusted pork loin, and pork sausage. The steaks tasted okay (but were nothing to rave over), the lamb cuts and sausages were excellent, and the pork loin was disappointingly dry. This place doesn't really compare to churrascarias I've been to in other parts of the country, which have had a much greater selection of meats that were prepared much, much better than Texas de Brazil's. If you are ever in the Bay Area and want to go to a good Brazilian steakhouse, I'd recommend Pampas in Palo Alto or Espetus in San Mateo. Also, be prepared to leave feeling like you are about to explode from eating too much. read more

Had a great experience indulging in all my favorite meats. Lamb chops were a hit at our table. We had a friendly server and asked if it was our first time to TdB. That being said we were not informed that mushrooms and sauces for the meats were at the hot/cold bar and found that out ourselves in our scoping out of the buffet area. Scope it out before you take a plate. Also be forewarned the web sight shows all the desserts. They are not included and are $9 each. My friends and I came here for Restaurant Week. I've been to many Brazilian Steakhouses but for some reason I never tried Texas de Brazil despite the fact that it's even a chain. I would definitely put Texas de Brazil at one of the top. For those who have not been to a Brazilian Steakhouse, you arrive at your table that have cards with a green and red side. When you want the parading skewers of meat to come to you, you flip it to the green side. (Vice versa for the red side). There's a salad bar off to the side that you can help yourself with whenever you want. I loved the cold veggies, very refreshing in between bites of heavy meat. Texas de Brazil also brings you Brazilian cheese bread (pao de queijo), fried bananas, and mashed potatoes which I was all obsessed with. Speaking of the meat, I did find them to be high quality. It was a little confusing for our table since some of us like our meat medium and other medium rare so workers would come to our table with one or the other without explaining which cook they have so I got a few wrong ones when served. I did take off one star because some cuts were a bit too salty for me, especially when I got the crust of the meat. As for my waitress, she was very attentive. Every once in a while she would come over and ask how we're doing and see if we wanted a specific meat to be brought to us which I really appreciated. Since we did come here during restaurant week, the dinner only cost us $35 each but I would definitely come back here at regular pricing. read more

Now they seem to rush through and didn't seem like they were wanting to serve you. The big complaint from our party was that it was really dark in that back party room. We had a group of 20 that was scheduled almost 2 weeks in advance and we couldn't have had more disappointing time there while spending OVER $1,500.00. Once getting past setting the table up they struggled in all aspects of satisfying their guest. We chose the silver dinning option for everyone, $69 dinner, 2 drink tickets and a dessert. In our section there was 2 groups of 20 and then 3 other tables. For all those people there was 2 servers!! Some of our guest waited halfway through dinner to get there first drink, and at one point the food was coming out so slow guest at our table went out side for a smoke break. After getting up TWICE and going to the host stand to request to speak with a manger things got a little bit better. One of our guest ordered a shot of Jameson they brought him the bill and had him pay for it and then 25 minutes later came and said they were out and did nothing more than give him his money back. I am writing your corporate office with the outmost respect for Texas De Brazil. My sister and I love Texas De Brazil and came often. When we found out Texas De Brazil would be open on Eid El Fitr, one of the holiest days and most celebrated holiday for Muslims, we were two times ecstatic. It was because of this my experience was not only disappointing but saddening as well. I understand due to COVID-19, there would be change but it would have been nice to be given a heads up on some of the changes. For example, a lot of our favorite food items were unavailable including sushi and lamb chops. We were even told there was a shortage of mozzarella cheese, a basic food item. Nonetheless we stayed because in hopes that the steak would change our minds. I was terribly wrong. We waited 25 minutes to get our first cut of meat. On top of that the meat was cold with no flavor. For the first time I had to ask for seasonings. I'm sitting here writing this email while I am currently in the restaurant and I can now say we waiting for 55 minutes just to get garlic sirloin, which we informed our waitress as soon as we came in at 6:15pm we wanted most of all. It was too late to leave by the time we realized our experience was not going to be as perfect as it usually is at Texas de Brazil.
