Since this was our first time we got the different meat options as the gauchos came to our table. Everything was delicious. We eventually consulted the list of meats and noticed a few items such as the filet mignon and the filet mignon wrapped in bacon that did not come out. When we asked for these we were told they were already out! Lesson learned, ask for the more expensive options when you arrive. Several things about our first experience to this restaurant.. I looked at the tablet with the wine list & told my friend that there was Texas de Brazil chardonnay for $9/glass & the waiter immediately said, " Oh, never mind that, I'll take care of it, do you like it dry?" Then he took the tablet menu & no one had another opportunity to see it. We said, " Chardonnay" & he brought a Rombauer chardonnay which I knew was pricey but my friends just nodded ok. At no time did he mention the cost of the chardonnay. Then I asked for the rose that was on the tablet menu for $12/glass which was brought in a champagne flute. When we received the bill at the end of the meal, the waiter had " sold" us an $80 bottle of chardonnay! With a large salad buffet that nearly all diners used, there were no hand sanitizers available. When I inquired, the waiter said , " Best I can offer you are some extra napkins." This is terrible protocol and a HUGE germ magnet. Both pork's (bacon wrapped & parm cheese) were dry, pork ribs were dry, flank steak tough, filet mignon very salty. Both lambs were med rare & good. Salad bar had good variety but quite pricey. I purchased E-gift cards from Costco online & restaurant would not accept it, said it stated it on second page of terms & conditions. To start off, when we came for dinner the hostess was so nice and got multiple tables pushed together right away only took 5 minutes to set up. To add, they had 5 people to set up the table which made the process much easier. They were also so apologetic about how they were taking too long. Now thats a great service. The food was amazing! It's Mexican style and for appetizers you get it buffet style and if you want more you go ahead and grab more. They also give you fries and these delicious sweet banana covered in brown sugar which is like banana cue (filipino dish). The main courses are several meats on a stick that they come around and cut off a piece if you want. If you want more theres is a circle card that you hold up to show that you want more meat which is very genius idea to have. The dessert was spot on! It's hard to find Churrascarias on island so I was thrilled to find this was opening up! Went as a sole diner. There was a little mixup where my table wasn't being visited. I told the waiter and he promptly fixed that and told Servers to swing by my table. The flavors and quality was on point! Walked in. Many dirty tables needed to be cleaned. Part my fault for requesting a quiet table however the server had a large party of 14. And another table. My wine was forgotten after 10 minutes I hailed a server. I felt it didn't live to the standards of other of their chains I've had dinner at. While you don't really go for that, I enjoyed some of the offerings that you don't get usually elsewhere such as hearts of palm, the shrimp salad, couscous, goat cheese, fresh asparagus... (need a little bit of veggies!) Also like the way they served the pineapple (pineapple carpaccio) very thinly sliced, seasoned with some spices, yummy! (Need a tiny bit of fruit, too.) They also have an excellent lobster bisque. There's also smoked salmon and capers, salami, prosciutto, mozzarella, bread, usual charcuterie type items. Sides - they bring garlic mashed potatoes, seasoned French fries, Brazilian cheese bread, and fried bananas to the table. All were really good, and if you're like me, appreciate having a little bit of starch with your meats. I wanted to take the extra Brazilian cheese bread home but since this is a buffet, our server suggested ordering some to go and even added a couple more to the basket and told us to be sure to add the ones in the basket into our take home container with extra order. (Hope I don't get them in trouble...) All the sides were great - just don't fill up on them. The bananas served as dessert since we were too full to think about ordering a full dessert. Meats - be sure to check what kinds I'd meats they serve (under the info section - about this business). The meats listed were exactly what they served. Only the lamb chops weren't being served as frequently, but of course we could request them. Liked the leg of lamb (get mint jelly from the salad bar) and the lamb chop offerings, bacon wrapped filet, sausage was ok, ribs were awesome! I don't usually choose sirloin, but their top sirloin was juicy and had a nice ring of fat and was excellent. Flank steak was ok, Parmesan pork loin was too dry. We skipped the chicken offerings (went for the beef and lamb and ribs). I'm not a buffet fan since I don't usually want to stuff myself but I recommend here to those who enjoy eating a lot of meat. For the price, you can manage to get your money's worth of the meat choices you like. Just be sure to take only a sampling the first time for each selection until you know what you want more of. My friends and I came here just expecting all you can eat but ended up getting some of the best service we've ever had! Cristina and Solomon were amazing from start to finish. It was all of our first times and Cristina gave us all the information we needed and sold us an amazing bottle of wine. All the meats were delicious. There were a couple times the meat was taking a little too long but Cristina always noticed and would then ask us what cuts we wanted and at what temperature, and within 5-7 minutes they were table side with the meats. I mean yes there's a variety but not much of it caught my eyes. Another thing that makes it hard to justify the cost is the ambiance. It's loud and the tables are super close together. You'll have people squeezing in between your table trying to go the salad bar while you're eating. Not the most intimate or even relaxing place to enjoy food. Also, our table got filled up with plates really fast. With salad bar plates, meat plates and the hot appetizers they bring out there's hardly any room on the table. So a lot of mixed reviews of this location however my experience was mostly positive with excellent service and plenty of food. First the salad slash accoutrements was excellent and if you're not big on the meats then this would satisfy you while your friends tuck into carnivores side of the menu. We had plenty of Groucho's coming to the table offering all kinds of meats from sausages to chicken hearts with flank steak, fillet mignon, top sirloin, lamb chop and leg of lamb with a great mint sauce. Each person has a serve or pass disc on the table, simply just a red or green side to indicate if you want more food or skip it for a while to rest. Some of the meat skewers seem to be overly salty, apparently you can request a low salt cut of meat however the traditional Brazilian way is to have a heavily salted cut of meat when cooking. All the cuts come out medium rare, again if requested this can be personalized to your own taste. A full bar is available and a good choice of desserts chosen from a tablet left at the table. We did have reservations which I would suggest is the best option for quicker seating, however keep in mind they will not let you be seated till all of your party has arrived. We had an 8 top, however the table size was more suitable for six people, also the number of tables made for a feeling of being in a crowded space. We went to Texas De Brazil last night for dinner. They opened just 11 days ago at the Ala Moana Shopping Center, next to Olive Garden. I had been to the one in Dallas before so I was really excited to find out they had opened here finally. All I can say about them is, if you have never been . . . . GO! But go hungry! The food is great and plentiful and the service is even better! Our server, Camillo (sp?) was super attentive and friendly. All the "gauchos" were also very attentive, friendly and they all treated us like were family! The salad bar has some of the freshest vegetables I have ever had and all the options are perfectly prepared. The meat variety is never ending and expertly prepared. The only things I do not recommend are any of the meat options that are wrapped in bacon. Sadly they don't cook those long enough so the bacon is not crispy or cooked all the way, which means the meat it is wrapped around is raw in the middle. We had a reservation and arrived 15 mins early to check in then walked around until our reservation time. We were seated in the farthest part of the restaurant suited for large parties when we were only two people. By the time the meat came to us, there'd only be one or two pieces left on the skewer. Most of the time there wouldn't be any left and the servers wouldn't come back to our table when the refilled. We had one round of meats and then went over 45 mins without anyone coming to our table. We flagged down our waiter and he asked the meat servers to come around but none did. Lost our appetite having to wait. Spoke to the manager about the negligence. He just said sorry and offered us a dessert which we declined because we lost our appetite and the issue was the meat servers. He didn't even offer to send more meat to our table.
