They persevered with working with Lennox whom I would never recommend to any one and they managed to get the part for me. Installation date took a while since I was out of town quite a bit but when they came they did a good job and were very friendly and patiently explained a lot of things to me. Also their prices are very fair. You need to watch out for many other HVAC companies in Texas now. Many smaller independents and even medium sized ones have venture capitalists that have bought them and essentially creating monopolies that jack the prices sky high. One quote I received was ~$3400 for labor and gas only where these guys were less than a third of that and I had two other companies quote. I could not believe how much people were charging for just labor and R410a. I always research things very thoroughly and know what it takes to replace things. I am willing to pay but not willing to be ripped off. When I checked further into why prices are so high is when I stumbled on venture capitalists buying into Texas AC businesses. They know Texans need their AC. Enough of ranting .. this is to say Morris Heating and Air is excellent. They are fair and down to earth guys.

It took some back and forth, but got the equal top model, and we've had similar items every other year, so it's been well worth it. AC is probably the one most often. Couple years ago, 2023, another AC brought by AHS, said the system had dog urination and that's why it wasn't running, so AHS denied claim....and the AC guy said "he'd replace it at a discount." Stockdale came and gave a 2nd opinion, nothing to do with dogs (we have 2 small female dogs, so this is crazy), and cleaned it in attic etc and all worked great. We had an issue, loud fan and bam stopped running. We requested Stockdale, they came out fixed it, new condenser fan motor and came back to put on a new 2 piece fan much quieter the old was cracked or something. 2 different techs, BOTH said "nah, these units (20 years old now) they run great, just fix the components, there's no need to replace this system, up or downstairs systems keep them." Only place, out of 3 or 4 the past few years, that DIDN'T say replace, replace, replace. I cannot say enough how much I appreciate it. They have come out, fixed, in a timely manner

They do this thing where they don't actually fix it and then say just wait two hours and it should be okay so they can leave and not answer the phone when you call later to say it still doesn't work. They charged us over $500 dollars to be in the same place we were before they came. With no AC in 100 degree weather. And of course, they can't be reached. I would go as far as to say this company is a scam. And if someone send you their way you need to be weary of that company as well (American home shield is one of them) I wish I could leave a zero star review.

His team arrived promptly and began by thoroughly inspecting and cleaning the AC unit. They then checked the freon levels and discovered that my system was already above standard levels. Jim pointed out that a previous company I hired had attempted to scam me by unnecessarily adding freon and charging me $300, without properly diagnosing the actual issue. Jim's team also educated me on how to choose the correct filter material suitable for my home's AC system. They quickly identified the root cause of why the second floor wasn't cooling properly. They adjusted the damper setup to ensure proper airflow between the upstairs and downstairs areas and made sure everything was connected correctly. They did a fantastic job. After dealing with cooling issues for over a week and hiring two different companies--neither of which were able to solve the problem--I was relieved and grateful to finally have it resolved.
