I really really like Texas Roadhouse. The Buford, GA location was recently opened. We went to this location for Fathers day 2019. Packed! Long wait. 1 hour 15 minutes to be exact. Our server, can't remember her name was pretty good in handling a party of 8 that was somewhat needy. I was pleased that I didn't have to complain about anything. Porterhouse medium well was cooked just right and seasoned to perfection. I always get the house salad as my side. I got a loaded baked potato. Drink was unsweetened tea with peach and mango flavoring. 4 stars because my food was right and didn't have to pitch a fit. read more

We first tried Texas Roadhouse during a trip to Asheville in May 2021 and were blown away by house good it was: Service, Quality, Taste, Price. So impressed that upon returning home, we immediately went to the one in Buford (though others had advised us against). We have tried it twice now and will find another location before trying again. Visit one: Just had appetizers because had a craving. Got Chili, Grilled Shrimp, Cheese Sticks, Rattlesnake bites. (Not seeing cheese sticks on their online menu now but was just a few weeks ago). Shrimp and chili ok, Cheese sticks cold and greasy, rattlesnake bites (my craving) were sent back. In Asheville, they had been hot, flavorful and dripping with cheese. In Buford, they were cold, cheese had solidified and was curdled (weird looking texture of white and yellow when breaking it open). 2nd visit. Had entrees (Burgers, Rib) and cheese sticks again. Could not bring myself to try the rattlesnake bites again. Burger ok, cheese sticks were cold, greasy and hollow (obviously exploded in fryer as cheese was on the outside. Those were sent back after one bite. The ribs seemed to have no sauce at all and were bland for me so waited to get some sauce. The sauce was very vinegary (pucker worthy) when I got and not a taste I liked. Not dinging for the sauce as others may like and I don't know if that is what it should taste like. Service 1st time: Very busy but good. Did not have to wait for anything. Service 2nd time: No menu was delivered when we were sat. It was 10+ minutes before server appeared and we were about to walk out even though we had waited 45 minutes to get in. Had to ask for a menu and then wait many minutes more. The ribs were ice-cold by the time I could get sauce for them. My husband was almost done with burger before server showed back up after delivering food. Had not delivered or offered condiments with meal so no ketchup or salt until then. Drink refill happened once at sauce delivery. We saw him nearby a few times but wouldn't look towards table to even flag down. We did not notice until after leaving that we still ended up paying for the cheese sticks returned. Overall: Standards at this location are just not there - in food or service. read more

Our fist time at Texas Roadhouse was not disappointing. We got there about 40 min before they closed on a Monday night. We were greeted and seated promptly. We stared with yummy complementary butter rolls and boneless buffalo wings as a starter. The wings were delicious I could eat them again as my meal. My son ordered the fillet with seasoned rice and a side of fries. The fillet was tender and the rice had a ton of flavor almost Cajun style. My husband ordered the sirloin combo that comes with a baked potato and shrimp. The steak was a little tough but I think it was due to the cut Being so thick. I ordered the fillet medallions with peppercorn sauce mashed potatoes and corn. My steak medallions came without any sauce on them, they rectified it by bringing some on the side still delicious not complaining. My mashed potatoes tasted bland and dry I will not be ordering them again and my buttered corn was just ok. Over all the food was yummy and the service was good we will be going back. read more

We've visited this location recently on Mother's Day and again for a family birthday. The staff from the hostesses to our servers have all been excellent. We got appetizers (the fried pickles are crispy and delicious!), salads and entrees. Everything that we ordered was amazing and cooked to perfection (grilled shrimp, filets, prime rib...). Went here for lunch today for the first time. The parking lot was full a little before 12 PM and we thought we had to wait but we were seated promptly. As soon as you walk in your seater will grab some bread and silverware and seat you. We were greeted by our server about three or four minutes after we sat. The menu is pretty big and so is their beverage menu. We ordered a blooming onion, and each of us had 10 oz ribeye steaks. The quality of the steaks was ok. You aren't going to an expensive steakhouse so the quality is what you would expect. There was more pieces of fat stuck to a side than a marbling. Fine for me because I love charred fat. I guess that sounds gross but it's yummy. The steaks were flavorful - a little salty, but I think that's better than them being underseasoned. The baked potatoes were massive. The side salad was adequate. The corn tasted like canned corn - not bad though. The steamed vegetables were broccoli and carrots. Slightly steamed and not at all mushy. You could tell they were fresh and not previously frozen. Service was good and friendly. One star off because when the food was brought to the table they couldn't remember which steaks were medium or well done. I ended up getting my dad's well done steak and my dad got my medium steak. Wow. Went here for the first time ever. I've been to a lot of steakhouse chain restaurants but for some reason this is the first time I've been to Texas roadhouse. For a chain restaurants this place is amazing! Wow. It's big and we got seated quickly. There's plexiglass between the booths which is nice. Everyone is wearing a mask. When you first walk in they bring bread with you just super hot and delicious butter and I ate way too much of the bread:/ I cannot say enough about the service which is impeccable. Maybe it's because we went on a random Tuesday, I'm not sure, but it doesn't matter, it was amazing! I got the chicken salad, we got unlimited bread, we got two margaritas which were delicious and we got the steak which was good. I had such an amazing experience here. We asked for some things and we got it immediately, the food was good for a chain restaurant, the bread was delicious and unlimited and the prices were fantastic. I'm not sure you can expect much more. Is this a great A steakhouse?...no but the steak and sauce were great for the price point. If I pay $50 for the steak I wouldn't be saying the same thing but I didn't, we only paid about 16 bucks so it's great. These 2 things just left a bad taste in my mouth, our server was great. Now this was my 2nd time here, it's been years. So the guy walks me to the steak counter where I pick a steak. I asked how it's priced he said by oz so I assumed it would be around 1.5 an oz (28.99/20) original. I got a 28 oz bone in. We were rushing so we ate quick and paid on the tablet. I was just looking on the tablet and I just clicked on a randomn game. Then exited out of it. There were NO SIGNS for payment, then when I get my bill I was charged $1.99. Also now I think it was $2.5 an oz extra so it was $20 for the extra 8oz. It's not the money it's just the shady feeling operation. And BEWARE I could see kids clicking on the games since there is no notice. It WILL CHARGE!! We were in a rush and could not flag down our server. read more

The value is incredible. Every time I think of something I may like, for example--another napkin, the server seems to magically appear with a napkin in hand. The food is of the good Americana variety. It's not at all pretentious and the serving sizes are very generous. The sides at Texas Roadhouse are always killer. My dining compatriot even leaves satisfied, and let's just say he's not always easy to please. Last time we ate here, I saw him smiling in the parking lot and thought "if that doesn't beat all?" When I'm looking for a place to relax, eat simple, delicious cuisine and possibly have a few laughs... I always go for Texas Roadhouse, in particular the excellent Buford location. This is our second or third time here and it's really nothing special. The parking lot would tell you otherwise. I don't get why this place is ALWAYS packed, and it's way beyond the new restaurant in town hype now. Seriously, this place stays busy. On this occasion we decided to order To go. They were so busy we couldn't select "immediate" for our order, had to wait an hour before we could go pick it up. We had gift cards so decided to wait. Happy to report that the pick up went well and all of our food was accounted for the first time. The food itself is good. I guess the best I can say is consistent. You know what you're going to get. If you get a steak, I think they pound them out, they are never thick and juicy, just flat and juicy. Still tasty tho! Got home and a good part of my order was missing. I guess I never thought I'd have to take everything out of the bag and make sure my order was complete. Our steak was great but our sitting area was nasty and for some reason they sit us at a dirty table, there were a room full of clean tables.. No manager came to the table to check on us but the food was quickly delivered and good. The staff there needs to be more customer attentive.. There were dirty shot glass at the table and dirty menus under our table ( our bread plates had dirty water in them) but the room had many other clean areas to sit??? Bad customer service!! I went in with high hope of best steak!! It was just awful. We went on Father's Day and ordered back ribs and they said they ran out of it so we ordered porterhouses stakes. It taste like rubber because beef was over cooked. We order medium rare and complain that it was over cooked, they took it back told me they will remake it. We waited for our food for 40 minutes already and when they took my order back I waited another 30 minutes. When I ask the waitress what happened to my food the kitchen forgot to make it. I was so disappointed with the experience. Manger didn't even come out to apologize to us. What a waste of my time and money. Always a great visit to Texas Roadhouse in Buford. The staff was very welcoming and followed protocols for COVID making it comfortable for my family to visit. The food was served fresh and hot. The rolls are the best part by far and make the meal top of the line. The country fried chicken was crispy and had a warm gravy topping that made it like an old fashioned Sunday dinner. The salad was served fresh with the right amount of dressing. The fun dancing from the staff was exciting and made for a great experience for our kids to watch. Asked to leave by manager after being explained the hourly wages of the server. We have been going to this restaurant since it opened in 2018. Family celebrations, holiday's, & last night to have dinner with our youth pastor & wife. Never have we been asked to leave our table for staying & visiting too long. In fact, we have never been asked this at any restaurant before. We completely understand servers need to get paid to make a living & restaurants desire to flip tables to make a profit. But asking customers to leave a table & offering to move them to another location in the restaurant is really poor customer service. My husband and I love Texas Roadhouse we used to eat at your restaurant every week on Sundays with our daughters after our religious meetings. Since the coronavirus we've been doing takeout orders which have been hit-and-miss but for the most part A Hit, until today. Our order came to $70.95 which is about usual for us which is no problem because we love your food.However today's order had a serious customer service issue. When we arrived to pick up the order the food was brought out promptly however there was a mix-up with the gravy on the mashed potatoes and so the young lady very nicely switched out our mashed potatoes for us but as she was on the inside I called so that she wouldn't have to make two trips and spoke to the manager Amanda asking if the young lady could bring out silverware napkins and butter for the roles had no butter inside of them. She did and that was a not a problem. I tipped the delivery girl and left. However as I was driving home I realized that the steaks had no smothering on top or on the side. I called but the manager Amanda was very very rude to me saying that she knows that she put the smother inside basically calling me a liar. I told her I would come back and show her since I was not home yet I was driving, but I would come back so she can see these orders intact and see that there's no smothering inside of them. she again states that she knows she put them in there herself which is highly unlikely because since when does a manager do the cooking, nevertheless she didn't want me to come back to show her the items however but she had no problem calling me a liar. she was very confrontational I don't know if she was having a bad day with other customers which I think it's highly unlikely since it was the beginning of the work day for her. I understand that people have personal issues going on all the time and also grievances with other customers however I was not one of those customers today but I was I unfortunately received the brunt end of her very rude attitude. She spoke over me the whole time we were on the phone even to the point where when I was telling her my concern she said hold on and put me on hold while I was mid-sentence. She didn't even let me finish my thought. she was very abrasive rude and quick to dismiss my concern as lies and was combative with everything that I said. I told her that my order felt rushed since regular things that usually come with the order we're not in a bag like utensils and napkins and butter for the rolls she responded butter usually comes with the rolls and you got utensils and napkins the second time and you have to ask for utensils. I told her that I placed this order online there is no button online to push for silverware and napkin so how do I request that when it's an online order that was placed before they opened up. I placed this order at 10:45 a.m. for 12 p.m. pick up. she replied well I guess I'll just have to talk to IT and get them to put a button on there for people like you. I'm very disappointed with the service especially in these times that we live in we made a special effort to drive to the further Texas Roadhouse that we liked which is this location. there are plenty of options on Uber eats we actually get a lot of food delivered to the house but we have to come out of our home to pick up these orders and we wanted to support our local restaurants that we love so much. I'm very disappointed and disheartened that this is the way loyal customers are being treated during the time where it is so much harder to patronize restaurants. We went there last sunday pretty early to avoid the crow. 1- Service Our server ( a young lady working on the bar section ) was nice at the beginning, she got our drinks pretty quick, ask we wanted so BREAD and we said YES. She took our orders we had : - Steak for my husband ( don t remember which piece ) - Shrimp for myself - 2 Andy steak for my kids - fried pickles for Appetizer - Blooming onion for appetizer 2- Entrée came first both our entrée were great ( food rating 4/5 ) 3- we got the wrong entrée for my kids 4- Still no bread / appetizer after 1/2h 5 we had to share our entrée for the kids can eat 6- Finally the kids entrée came but still no appetizer 7- when we were about to be finish the appetizers came 8- on our bill they charge the kids drink just because it came in a big cup NO EXCUSE, very bad service, I would have expect to have at least a discount on the appetizers that came when we were about to ask the check I hate giving bad reviews but I hope it will help the management to improve the service quality read more

We ended up here because the restaurant we wanted had a fight night, and was even more packed than this one. We still had a long wait, but I guess that's to be expected given the Buford area on a Saturday night. We came to meet up with his family for dinner, and I feel the server did a really good job, because we were a pretty big table. They also sang happy birthday to my daughter and brought her a little dessert after our meal. The food was decent...it's a lot like Longhorn's to me, kind of middle of the road quality. I got the caesar salad with chicken, and my boyfriend got some stir fry that he really liked. I did think the dressing was pretty good, and my chicken wasn't dry. I did like their rolls, too...nice and soft and tasty! My daughter got the shrimp, and they were cooked and seasoned well. If you don't like crowds, I'd avoid this place for sure. Overall, I'd say it was a good experience, nothing mind blowing, but a solid choice for a variety of palates. For the first time in an American restaurant give an interesting experience as it takes roughly more than 45 minutes or so to have our food out ready to munch on. Everything was quite nice and dandy. Every staff member I came in contact with was kind, considerate, helpful, and seemed to be loving their job. Arie, our waitress was excellent parent she was extremely tentative and carrying. She reviewed our order to make sure it was accurate, & my glass was refilled multiple times. Texas Roadhouse is just as affordable as any other restaurant in the area.
