So I've never been to a Texas Roadhouse. This place is new so I figured now was the time to try... Obviously when we pulled in it was insanely packed. But this location just opened and this is the Mall area during Christmas so I won't judge anything based on speed of service or crowds. First thing I noticed was how friendly the staff was when we arrived. Numerous people greeted us and smiled etc. And this is going to sound mean, but I am usually not too fond of teenagers working in any customer service setting for obvious reasons. But honestly these kids were all very courteous and made us feel welcome. Now I've never been to a roadhouse but just be warned the floor is quite messy but I am told that's their thing (the peanuts everywhere) and honestly thought it was neat. So not a negative. Just strange but unique. I wasn't too fond of the small table my wife and I were sat at. One of those tiny little two person booths. And it was in a very high traffic area near the kitchen. But considering we were sat in 15 minutes during a very busy time, I can't complain. Small booths allow that speed of seating. Again with the teenager stuff (she may have been early twenties if I had to guess I'd say teen)... our waitress came promptly. She was very friendly and attentive. I want to say "Cassidy" or "Cassy". Either way, she was a great waitress, again, especially for her age. Cute little thing and worked very hard and was extremely attentive. Very impressed for someone her age to really take her job seriously and be so attentive. Her parents should be proud. Now the reason I didn't give 5 stars... My steamed vegetables were really dry and bland. Probably should throw some butter on those things or something. But honestly I don't think I have ever had a restaurant serve me steamed veges that had any flavor at all and were not dry so not that big of a deal. My steak was VERY undercooked. I ordered medium and I think I heard it 'moo' at me. But I'd rather have something undercooked than over cooked (easier to fix). The flavor was great though so I let it slide. My wife's steak was cooked perfectly. Can't really comment on my fries because after the insanely good bread, bloomin onion type appetizer, and my steak.... I was too full. So all in all the food was excellent. Definitely beat Longhorns down the street. The atmosphere was fun. I'm not into country and this place has a country vibe to it. But it seemed fun and mood lifting. As I said before the staff was excellent. Our waitress, Cassidy, was spot on. At one point I saw something funny across the restaurant and I guess I looked like I was looking for my waitress because another waitress passing by checked on me to make sure I was ok and asked if I needed something. That was impressive. And the manager (I think) stopped by and chatted as is typical for a newly opened location. So I was impressed. I will return for sure. Again, only missing a star because my medium steak literally had a pulse. But overall a pleasurable visit. We shall return. read more

Haven't been in a Texas Roadhouse in ages. Seated quickly, friendly informative hostess tempting us with the "pick your own steak" case was just unfair to a hungry wobbly guy, great knowledgeable server (Andre?) took us on a helpful menu tour, super fast service, and yummy apps and main dishes. Only real complaints is the the well-done steak took an extra pass in the kitchen to well-done-ify it, and being seated next to the booth where the staff hangs out upgraded my kid's vocabulary a bit sooner than I wanted (maybe that's a good thing?, i don't know.) OMG!!! This place is AMAZING! I've eaten at many locations of Texas Roadhouse in multiple states and my experience at the Buford, GA location has exceeded experiences that I've had at five star restaurants! We were greeted immediately, our wait time was shorter than expected, the food was very good and the service was OUTSTANDING!!! Jen was our server and she is the absolute best; we never had to ask for anything and she anticipated all of our needs. She was so sweet and our daughter just loved her. The manager Alissa ensured that our experience was amazing and we left feeling so special!! This is the first of many visits to come at this location. They set the bar so high and any new facilities opening should be required to train here because the service is unmatched! Thank you so much for the amazing experience!!!! read more

First time here for dinner.. GREAT food GREAT service!! I had the chicken critters with steak fries and green beans, the green beans were delicious! They have bacon and onion cooked in and are on the sweater side. Husband has the steak and salad. The steak was very tender and the flavor was wonderful. We had the onion blossom for appetizer and it was fried perfect. The service was fantastic! Quick! For this place to have just opened it runs very smoothly! Keep up the great work!!! read more

Visited 4/3/24. Used to be my favorite location and restaurant but after my experience yesterday I won't be coming back to this location & maybe other locations based on the managers claims that corporate wouldn't accept my ID, will make sure to tell all my friends and family as well. I came with my family of 8. To start off, I was going to get my usual drink (one of the reasons I loved Texas Roadhouse) my ID doesn't expire until 2027. Yet they refused to CHECK it or TAKE it because it was still vertical. Despite me having used this ID for the past TWO years at this location and others. After asking the waitress MULTIPLE times for her manager, the manager came and had an attitude. ANOTHER REASON I always recommended Texas Roadhouse to all my friends and family, was the steak. My whole family asked for it well done. We ALL had pink steak. The only kid that was with us and purchased a burger, also asked for hers well done & received a fully pinkish red burger from the inside which she refused to eat anymore. I had never had an experience like this one & would always recommend it to everyone, but now I'll make sure to spread the word that this location is no longer a good choice. So if you're like me and a busy person and don't have time to get a horizontal ID, DONT BOTHER COMING HERE. read more

It's a "Great Day" at Texas Roadhouse, Buford, GA, Mall of GA location. Our family of 3 called ahead for seating. The hostess Devan went out of her way to be acommondating of my request for a booth by a wall. We didn't mind waiting which only took around 5 minutes especially since the place was packed on Father's Day. We observed Eric, the Managing Partner, greeting guests as they walked by to their tables. We also observed he is a Jack of all trades by doing whatever necessary to keep the place in perfect order, such as clearing tables to get ready for the next guests. Logan, who escorted us to our table, had a friendly smile. *Kelsey was our server today. He did a fantastic job coming immediately to the table greeting us with a welcoming smile. He was ready and willing to wait on us which we really appreciated. He made sure our our order right as soon as they brought it out. He also refilled our glasses being it was so busy as it was today at lunch time, we were so impressed he didn't forget about us even though there were only 3 of us. We couldn't have asked for a better server today especially with it being a holiday. We will be back again and again. We love this place and have been going since it opened. We are finally taking the time to let others know it's a wonderful place to take your family for dinner. read more

This is a very bad experience. On Saturday, my family and I came here for dinner, but we waited for an hour. All the guests who came later than us provided food, but our food hasn't come yet. The waiter said it would be slow because my son ordered a very dawn steak. I called the manager and the manager told me that the waiter forgot to tell the kitchen. Oh, my god, the good mood of the whole day has disappeared. The manager told me that there would be a discount, and the bill was 20 dollars cheaper. However, when I checked out, I didn't miss him $20. Twenty dollars can't buy me a broken good mood. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's really unacceptable to blame others for their mistakes!This service attitude is terrible. I have been to this shop many times, and I will never go again! Cactus blossom onions: breading very salty but delicious. Complimentary hot rolls melts in your mouth delicious!!!!! NY & T-bone steak medium rare: very tender and delicious. Sides: corn, green beans, mash potato, fresh vegetables, baked potato ALL Delicious but SALTY except for the baked potato since it was ordered plain without toppings. Kids meal steak bites were the saltiest of all. If you get the point, foods are delicious here but just little bit too salty. Beginning bites are okay to handle but towards the end of the meal, my tongue felt like salt coated. Needed to escape from that salted palate and reached for their complimentary peanuts and that too was salty. OMG!!! They need to add less sodium option. Service 5 + stars. Employees' shirt on the back is printed, "I love my job!" I can tell. When asked to speak with the manager she sent the waitress to relay her message that we could not receive a discount/refund then took the steak never brought a new one still had to pay a 105$ bill and went home without a steak. Ok Texas Roadhouse has been a favorite of mine since they opened. But the last 3 visits have gone down each time. I am not going back. Went on Labor Day and they had sent out a special for that night by email. Firs t derive was not even. One. It took us 1 hour 15 min to get our food and that was after I had to ask. Steak cold, cheese fries for kids was a cold gin gelled blob that would slide off the place in one lump. Service - left me say again. The worst. No water, no food Waiter was standing by the kitchen watching tv and also disappear When I asked for the bill they over charged and had to have it fixed Worst food, service, will not be back. Not sure if it is management or what but went from a great chain to a waste of money Go somewhere else. read more

I tried ordering online but was having issues with items not available so I called and spoke with April. I explained that I was not able to complete oder online. She put me on hold and after sometimes the call dropped. Called again and this time I spoke with Gabby, again explained the issue and I asked if I could place with her instead. Again, she put me on hold and after a while call was disconnected. Called back again, and spoke to April again who seem to recall me and took my order and hang-up. As I was getting ready to call, I recieved a text confirming my order. Again, I called just to confirm firm and spoke with someone who co firm that April did placed my order and that it will be ready at around 5:31pm. So, I got here and walked in to 4 other costumers who were very upset as they have been waiting for a long time. One lady returned her order and asked April, apparently she is the manager on the To GO side to re made her order and made sure she did not pay for her order. I waited 1 1/2 hour and my order never came. I told this lady April that I can no longer wait and she just nod at me and did even apologized. I dine in this location a lot with family and friends and today's experience makes me not wanna go back. read more

I wish I could leave zero stars. We're regulars and have been coming to this location for a while but this isn't the first time something like this has happened. We asked for our steak to be cooked medium and it wasn't. I hate being that guy that sends food back but I had to. The employees didn't even say sorry or anything close to that. The inside of the steak was medium rare but closer to rare, I always ask for medium. The steak was the same color as when it first came out and they didn't even have the decency to sear the steak where I cut into it. The manager who brought us the steak back didn't even notice the color. We felt like if we sent it back they would have done the same exact thing. read more

This was the worst food I have eaten in a while Our appetizer was reheated cheese fries. You can tell the difference between a crispy fry and one that has been reheated. The cheese was not stringy like it should have been. When I ordered my steak, I asked for crispy veggies. I was half way finished with my steak and realized I never got my veggies. The server brought them back in a couple minutes. I could tell they were not fresh as all. My dinner was downright awful Thursday, November 4th. I hate to complain in the restaurant because my ex-wife always complained and I felt uncomfortable sometimes. Not sure how soon I will be going back to this location. read more

Long day and then watching grandchildren's swim meet we decided to eat dinner out as it was now 7:30. I had a gift certificate from my nephew and wife for Texas Roadhouse - let's go! I guess she was one of the hostesses, a lady grab a thing of rolls and took around the corner a bit to a nice booth. Then our server came and we both ordered beers (surprising for me). R ordered sirloin and 2 sides baked potato and salad. I ordered the 3 medallion filet mignon with mushrooms with the same sides as R. Server asked if I still wanted the rice which came with the meal. I asked if I could sub the potato for the rice - yes. Ok, so then I still get two sides? No. Ok, then the baked potato and salad. My meat was to be medium well. Meal arrived and my meat was brown on outside, but raw on inside. Also, on my plate was the baked potato and on a separate plate was another baked potato and then my salad. R looked at me like hello?? I just smiled. After server left I told him the above. Server came back and saw me cut into the meat - raw. He said he would take it back and please remove the potato. As I waited I reached for a roll - guess they had been sitting on the shelf for a while before we came in - bad for hostess. Meat was brought back without the mushrooms. So far this has not been a happy time! Asked server for mushrooms. I am not sure who he was more annoyed with - the kitchen, us or himself but it was not going pleasantly. The returned meat was not medium well - more like medium rare. Both of us brought home a box from our plates. Server comes over and runs something through the table machine, he asks if it is credit, cash or what. I, looking at him, reply gift card - he hits something on the machine and is gone. Most restaurants we go to give you your full receipt and do not use a table machine. I am sitting there wondering how I get back to see what the total was and if it was correct. I believe the manager came over and asked if I needed help - yes, I would like to see the original bill. She reset the machine. Looks ok, slide gift card and R says did you ask for military discount? No. Ok, so now he is going to wait outside and I am going to wait for the server to come back and ask. Finally, he makes an appearance - and I ask if he had deducted for military service. He thought he had, took the bottom off of the machine and replaced, grabbed my gift card and headed for the register - totally annoyed. He completed what he wanted to do and brought the final receipt to me with the balance on the card. No you give me the whole receipt - not just the final. He got it and then disappeared. I waited as I was going to put the tip on the card. After a good 10 minutes, I crossed out tip and wrote cash, took cash from my wallet and gave it to the manager to please give to him. I know this is long, but nothing went right. Out for a nice dinner, and all of it frustrating. Not my place again or at if had to would never let that servicer near my table. Went during busy Christmas shopping season and being close to the mall my expectations were not high. Staff was very good and food was also good. We will be back once the crowds die down a bit Well we went back last night in the crowds have not died down any. The service was a little bit slow but understandable considering you could not even find a parking place there. Had to drop my wife off at the front and drive around around five minutes to find a place to park. The food was perfect so it was all worth it in the end. read more

Service was great, seated immediately, I called ahead. Peanuts and rolls were awesome. The food came out quickly, salad before the Onion. We were disappointed the sauce wasn't that good, it was also hard, so forget dipping. Another issue was I had to cut the onion with my steak knife, absolutely impossible to just yank off a chunk, which I tried doing for several minutes. The salad looked great but the ranch dressing was not very flavorful, not sure why? Bland. Our steaks tasted good but my 24oz bone in ribeye was half rare half medium well, not sure how but I ate the good half and will reheat the other. Wife got a 6oz sirloin medium, cooked medium but was dry, weird again? We all (4 of us) ordered Fries but those were not good. I assume maybe cooked and sat under a lamp to long? They were limp not fluffy, just old I guess? Disappointing, we didn't eat 1/2 our fries, that's a 1st for our family. I probably should have asked for a vegetable or mashed potatoes but didn't. I've ate at the Snellville location several times and love the fries with gravy but thought maybe I was just having taste issues today. It wasn't till we were all done I realized we all thought the fries sucked. I've seen some comments that this place is better than the local Longhorn but not my experience today. I think outback makes the onion best and Longhorn nails everything across the board. If you never tried Longhorns Wild West Shrimp GRILLED, you need too. If you want a blooming onion go to Outback. Ill be back to cash in my free appetizer and maybe try the road kill or a burger. read more

The sirloin steak here is delicious. I love having my meat medium well more on the rare. Sometimes they will over cook it or under. This one was perfect. The service was great too. We will NEVER eat there again. We used to go once a week, now we will absolutely never go, and I will make sure everyone I know doesn't go again as well. We were sat right infront of the bathroom although I counted atleast 5 tables open. 3 of which were on the same row as us. We asked to be moved. They said no because the other tables have guests waiting to be sat there as well. But if it's the EXACT same table as the one in front of the bathroom, why couldn't my family get it. Seeing as our party was there first anyways. And even more so, there were literally 5 more open tables. Anyways the manager grudgingly moved us. We ordered. Two different workers there told us they had prime rib. My son ordered it. When the food can't out, it was a ribeye. I asked what happened, and the server said "well my manager told me we sold out after I put your order in, so we just gave you this instead". So.... you don't even inform the customer or anything? You just give them what you want them to eat? And to top it all off, our appetizer never came to the table even though they tried charging us. And the server who was supposed to be our server by the bathroom, walked by our new table and gave us the dirtiest, nastiest stare. I am appalled by texas roadhouse now. It was the most uncomfortable I have EVER felt at a restaurant. I know for a fact the whole staff, from the servers, to even the manager who moved us, were talking about us the whole evening. read more

Mary, the bartender is absolutely the best at her job I've seen anywhere.,I've always thought this is a great place with outstanding staff but Mary is a very nice and extremely talented young lady. She makes all her customers feel like the most important person in the room. She also juggles the very complicated job of bartender with ease. It's just amazing to watch her work. She is very personable and gives wonderful advice if you ask her. I always enjoy the great food at Texas Roadhouse and it is always and incredible experience eating at the bar with Mary taking care of you. Thanks for a great evening. read more

Excellent experience ordering family meal online and picking up. Four cheeseburgers, huge family size salad, four individual sides, bread, butter for twenty bucks. Two friendly staff brought out food to car. The cheese burgers were rather overcooked and the patty on the small side but it's ok. Hurray. read more

Perfect family restaurant. My husband and I went for an early dinner - arrived at 4:45 on a Sat night. Glad we got there early, because there was a line out the door as we left. Service, atmosphere, and food were all excellent. Peanuts are on the table while you wait for your meal, plus bread rolls. So first of all, my beer was ICE cold and in an ice cold glass, which I loved! My baked potato was perfect - nice seasoned skin. I had the chicken "critters" (chicken fingers) and sirloin - cooked perfectly. The side salad had the freshest crisp lettuce that I've ever had. It's also a fun atmosphere - the waiters stop and line dance occasionally, so you have a little entertainment. read more

Texas Roadhouse is the best bang for the buck of Steak houses. The service is always top notch. We eat here about once a week. One time in a year we sent a steak back for not being cooked correctly. The wait for a table never seems to be more than 15 minutes unless you have more than 6. I would rather eat here than Bare Bones. Christian has been our server probably 10 times never had an empty drink late food or mistake on the order. read more

Got on the call ahead wait list and waited about 15 minutes when we got there. Was seated at a table under a ceiling fan that was on high. When I asked to move to a two seater booth, the hostess said I would have to go back on the wait list, even though there was 6-10 empty 2 seater booths. The waiter was great and turned off the fan for us. When the manager strolled by, I told him about my experience and he came with every excuse as to why they that was the right thing for the hostess to do. We ordered our food and everything was great except my "medium" steak was cooked almost rare. I don't mind and ate it anyway. There was one piece left and the manager happened by again and when I showed him the almost raw piece of meat, he said that some people consider that medium. Are you kidding me? We went to Texas Roadhouse today wanting a good lunch for a fair price. As usual, the Mall of Georgia location exceeded our expectations! This was in part due to the fantastic Blackened Ribeye I got but was definitely because of our server, Lindsey. The server Sely it was very professional visited the table at least five times suggested additional items did a great job very pleasant. The entire wait staff was very neat and clean.
