At this point, I'm convinced this place is being run by magic elves. I wish I could remember my server's name, but while my memory may have failed me, the service definitely did not. It was impeccable. Attentive, polished, warm, and exactly what you want from a restaurant at this level. And somehow, the food may have been even better this time. I always order the ribeye, and NanaSteak consistently gets it right. The steak practically melts in your mouth, is always cooked to the proper temperature, and has never disappointed me. I've yet to have a bad meal here. What I appreciate most is the consistency. Plenty of restaurants can give you one great meal, but coming back weeks later and having the same level of food and service says a lot. I would recommend just about everything here. Great food, exceptional service, and a restaurant that continues to deliver every single time.

They are located right beside the DPAC so when the shows let out people go over to get food. We were able to find a spot at the bar. The ambiance was nice. The bar was fully stocked. The service was great. We had Alice, who was very busy making drinks but was very attentive to us. We ordered the scallop ceviche which was very flavorful. You could taste the orange juice it was soaked in. The scallops were fresh and all of the flavors complemented each other well. We also got the Caesar salad, the ribeye and the crispy pork ribs. My least favorite was the Caesar salad. The capers on top were a nice addition but the salad dressing was extremely bland. It didn't taste like Caesar at all. It gave more of a creamy Parmesan that lacked flavor. Would not recommend. My favorite dish was the crispy ribs. They were tender and full of flavor. A lil bit on the salty side with a hint of sugar. The kimchi was a nice addition. It was spicy but delicious so beware! The ribeye was good. I would've liked maybe a garlic butter on top but overall I would give it an 8. For dessert we had the creme brûlée which was simple but delicious. You could see and taste the vanilla bean throughout the dish.

The birriamen was so-so, the goat was missing something in flavor and really needed the sauce. The sauce on the birria was less flavorful that what I make at home and not as good as strictly Japanese ramen. The noodles felt like what you get from an Asian grocery store. The horchata was good but very coconut forward instead of cinnamon. I will be coming back for their dinner and brunch menus!

The roasted chicken was juicy and tasty, and a bit sweet with the bourbon ginger and plum reduction, but the mac and cheese seemed dry and overcooked. We also ordered the buttermilk cheddar biscuits- that taste slightly undercooked (in a good way), so the texture was soft and chewy (and amazing). The honey butter and large maldon salt granules made the biscuits perfect. They were so good we ordered a second order!! I would definitely return to Plum, for both the food and hospitality.

Recently started going back after not picking food up 6-7 years because of just terrible service. Have done three to go orders in the past couple of months and they are still terrible with to go orders. It's just something they still don't do well. Biggest issue was Father's Day. Used the website to place an order at about 4:30 PM and it said ready at 5 PM. Around 5 PM I went to the restaurant and parked in one of the to go spaces. This time they had some servers outside to do curbside. I don't remember that happening the previous two orders. He came and said that mine was not yet ready and I think came back to the car about 15 to 20 minutes later saying not yet ready. After waiting in my car for 45 minutes, I got out and went to the window. The server was actually standing there and said the order is still not ready. He said just got really busy and maybe it was because it's Father's Day. Honestly, I wanted to tell him no kidding and they should've staffed it that way. I said it was now 45 minutes past when the order was supposed to be done and I was not waiting any longer. He said they would refund the order. Just as I was pulling out of the parking lot I got the text message that the order was ready, so I turned around and parked again. When I went to the window and mention the text message, he said oh maybe it was because I just did the just did the refund. Because the message said your order is now ready. I asked him did it just come out and he looked up at the shelf and said no Two weeks later and I still have not gotten the refund on my credit card. I called the restaurant a week later asking for the general manager. They said he was not in and would be back in a couple of days so I asked for his voicemail. Whoever answered, the phone said no voicemail but they would take a message. Never got a return call. Tried to call General manager a week after that and when I was placed on hold, I got disconnected. Call back two more times and selected the option to speak to someone at the restaurant. After about 10 rings with no one answering both times I just hung up. Have challenged the charge on my credit card. The last issue is the website says 20 ounce beverages and charges for it. You get a 16 ounce Styrofoam cup. The first time I just thought maybe they're out of the other cups. That has happened on all three orders. read more

Went last night for the first time in a while and it was not what I had hoped for. I was with 3 others and 2 of us ordered the Andy's steak as the entree with a baked potato and one with a sweet potato. This is one of the items on the kids menu. Something I get regularly. The other person who ordered Andy's steak had no issues. I on the other hand can't say the same. My steak was very thick and "crusty", not what I would have imagined for medium well, the other person's steak had nice grill marks and theirs was supposed to be well done. My steak was not a good cut of meat, it was difficult to cut and could barely get my fork in it. Upon looking closer I could see shimmering webby looking stuff in the steak, must have been some sort of connective tissue. I only ate 1/4 of it. If you order the Andy's steak but want a side other than what is listed you are charges extra, we were not told that. Nor were we told there would an extra charge for out tea since we didn't get it a plastic cup with a lid. The best part of the evening was out server. His catch phase was "I gotch ya" and let me just say he did have us. He was very attentive and we never had to wait for refills. I did let management know about the steak and my dissatisfaction at first the only took off half but once I talked to the senior manager the entire Andy's steak was taken of. read more

Texas road Steakhouse - Durham, NC On the evening of April 26, 2025, at approximately 10:00 PM, my companion and I visited this establishment expecting a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, the visit was marred by a series of unacceptable issues: Unsanitary Seating: The seats provided were unclean, resulting in my clothing being soiled with what appeared to be sauce or oil from the grill. Lack of Managerial Response: After bringing this to the attention of the waiter and staff, I was assured that a manager would address the situation. Despite waiting, no managerial staff approached our table. Improperly Cooked Meal: I ordered a well-done filet steak. Upon arrival, the steak was visibly pink inside, concealed under a layer of onions. When I pointed this out, the server acknowledged the issue and took the steak back. It was returned overcooked, dry, and charred. Inadequate Resolution: I requested that the steak be removed from my bill. The staff apologized and once again stated that a manager would speak with me. This is not a good place for steak at all. We had a party of 9 last night, our server seems nice enough but maybe she was overwhelmed. The steaks were cold and dry, and the whole staff could have done a better job helping to run the food. Each person spent around $18.00 for a ribeye, in my opinion, then the ribeye should look like a ribeye, not something like thin crust pizza. The severs in the restaurant could have been friendlier to customers other than their own. Our table had a soft drink spill and our server was not present at that time, so we asked another server for some napkins, and he was very inpatient and didn't want to be bothered, said "ok" but never bothered showing up. My friend asked a server where the bathroom was, and the server ignored her. This is our first time and last time to visit this so called a steak house place. Overall we were very disappointed. My wife and I placed a takeout order for a simple dinner over the weekend. However, even after waiting for more than two hours, our order was still not prepared. Despite this, we received a message stating that the food was ready. After waiting even longer with no explanation, I requested a refund and left. Unfortunately, I am not confident that the refund will actually be processed, as the staff simply wrote the word "refund" on the receipt without providing any proper confirmation. This experience was extremely frustrating and unacceptable, especially considering the misleading notification and the lack of clear handling of the refund. Just stopped by to grab some appetizers after work with good company. We were instantly sat down with a yummy basket of bread when our server, Mello, came over to greet us. He was super friendly, helpful, and great at his job! He filled our glasses before they were even empty and he came to check on us consistently without being overbearing which is a big plus in my book!:) Not long after we received our food, the "legendary manager" Tyler, also came over to ask us how we were doing. This particular establishment was not up to par with the other Texas Roadhouse I've been to. We were seated but the service was kinda slow. The ambiance was a little off for some reason. The food was mid... the blue cheese dressing was so mild I could barely taste the blue cheese at all, the steak was eh, the prime ribs texture was almost like it wasn't fresh and rice was not fresh either. This place has an Applebees-like atmosphere with a southern touch; maybe a little too southern, though. If you're a vegetarian, this is by far not the place for you. The only vegetarian options are fries and fried pickles. If you're a carnivore though, the food is really good. The burgers are fantastic, but the service was slow. read more

What disappoints me most is that I believe Ted's has the potential to be a great neighborhood restaurant. I want a dependable place to bring my family for burgers and steaks, but I no longer have confidence that the experience will match the price. My hope is that management looks beyond individual complaints and asks whether there is a larger operational problem. Long ticket times, inconsistent food quality, and poor execution are not isolated issues--they are symptoms of a system that needs attention

It was sticky where I sat, so not the best first impression. The menu had various items but just a few selections in each category. They offer a few salads, a few burgers, some steaks, ribs, some chicken and seafood options too. It took a while for the manager to take my drink order. I was thirsty so drank it fast. I expected a refill. But that never happened and I was ignored all night as was the table next to me. When I sat down, the bartender was very flustered. A group was trying to get to an event and she was struggling with the check. She was then in tears and I am not sure where she disappeared the rest of the night. That should have been my red flag to go elsewhere. I knew this was going to be a meh meal from the moment my order was taken, I went with the 6 ounce filet medallions and asked for a baked potato instead of mashed potatoes. It is spelled as "medaillons" on their menu. Check the website if you don't believe me. The typo should have been a sign to order something else. It was to come with up to three gourmet toppings, I wasn't asked if I wanted those or even how I wanted the meat cooked. I was never brought any complimentary bread like was given to the tables near me. My food came out fairly fast, the quality is what you'd expect of a lower level chain. I wasn't served filet mignon. I'm not sure what it was but it wasn't that. The tv went off soon after my meal arrived. I pointed to it to the manager but he ignored the problem. I wanted to see the Duke game. The other tv was not a good view like that one was. I asked another employee later and she attempted to fix it but didn't seem to know how to connect it. I think it just had to be turned back on as it seemed the timer shut it off. I patiently waited for over 30 minutes for my check. Service here is a hot mess. I was tempted to just walk out as they had forgotten about me. The restaurant seemed to have plenty of staff and was not busy. But they failed to refill my iced tea, check on my table or other tables. I did complain about my 30 minute wait for the check so was given 10% off. But that isn't enough to get a return visit. I left a minimal tip, because service was non-existent. The small discount didn't make up for being ignored all night, no drink refill when my glass was empty, not bringing the complimentary bread and the delay in receiving my check. I do hope the employees receive better training so they can learn how to properly service their tables and multitask. This place also needs to be better managed. 3 stars for the food but 1 star for the poor service.

Even with that added pressure and clearly being in the weeds, she never let our table fall off her radar. She continued to check on us consistently and stayed engaged through the entire experience. We paid using the table-side payment device, but unlike some past experiences at other locations, she remained present during checkout--asking if we needed a paper receipt and confirming details like entering a phone number. That level of follow-through stood out. Going earlier in the evening versus closer to closing made a significant difference in service quality. Equally impressive is the service--the staff consistently makes guests feel welcomed, appreciated, and valued. On this particular visit, however, I experienced an issue with my meal. I ordered the Butterfish, one of my favorite dishes, but unfortunately, it arrived cold. I brought the matter to the attention of our server, Mo, who immediately took action to resolve the situation. What happened next is the real reason I am writing this review. The Culinary Manager, Mr. Thomas Johnson, personally delivered the corrected meal to our table and offered a genuine and sincere apology. He explained that he takes full responsibility for the quality of the food served in his restaurant and acknowledged that my meal should never have been served that way. He also assured us that it would not happen again. What impressed me most was Mr. Johnson's willingness to take complete ownership of the situation. He could have simply allowed our server to return the corrected dish with an apology and considered the matter resolved. Instead, he personally came to our table, addressed the issue, apologized, and ensured that we were completely satisfied. He also graciously removed the dish from our bill and provided us with a coupon for a complimentary appetizer on our next visit. WOW! The purpose of this review is not to highlight a mistake--mistakes happen in every restaurant and every business. What distinguishes an exceptional organization is how its leaders respond when something goes wrong. Mr. Johnson's response was an outstanding example of leadership, accountability, service recovery, and genuine customer care. Mr. Johnson did not make excuses, shift responsibility, or leave the situation for someone else to handle. He owned it, corrected it, and went above and beyond to restore our confidence and ensure our satisfaction. That is leadership. Mr. Johnson exemplifies the level of customer service, professionalism, accountability, and compassion that is too often missing in today's service industry. I was already a loyal Bonefish Grill customer; after this experience, I am a lifelong customer! The customers next to us had been provided with a discount and cordial hospitality, witnessing this care while we were not provided with the same service was very discerning.
