This is our go to place when we want something good to eat in a lively atmosphere. We've never been disappointed with anything we've ordered. My kids love the Andy's steak and I do the adult version of that. My husband loves the ribs and steak. I've never been one for reheated foods but I will tell you that this food is so good I'll reheat it cause I love it so much! We can't go in without hearing the birthday song sung at least once! We've only had one time when we got not so great service but I think it's because we moved tables and the servers thought the other one was getting us. Once they figured it out we got star service from, what the manager said, their best server. He did great and they even sweetened the deal by offering us a free appetizer for the confusion. We went here for lunch off peak time around 2 o'clock. I ordered a fillet salad and my friend ordered fillet with shrimp. The service was pretty slow. We had to wait over thirty minutes after a plate of appetizer. The meat was not cooked as ordered - it was rare not medium or well done. We didn't have time to have them remake them so just went with a flow. The service was good except being slow but the food was a bit too salty and not what we ordered to be prepared at. Rotten service. Tried to order the family pack online. I wanted the cheeseburger or chicken critter package. Could not get it the order to work online. Called the restaurant directly. First they said I could order this over the phone. That was stupid. Second, those two specials, advertised on the website was no longer offered. Argh! This is the worst for turning tables. We had a large party and called ahead as they advertise but were told they couldn't accept our reservation over the phone. Used to be very good about 5 months ago, just ate there two nights ago and told myself I won't be going back. Food quantity has gone down so much, the way they cook it all now is not good, they've changed some things on the menu but haven't changed the menu. They are so slow and if you call in an order, they rarely have it ready on time. We have called in many times only to be put on hold for several minutes and when they finally respond and we place our order, it is rarely ready at the time they gave us. Sometimes they haven't even started it and we have to wait even longer once we get there to pick it up. Texas RH has been our "go to" restaurant for years. As a matter of fact, I stopped reviewing it because it's always the same "Good steaks, Good ribs, Good salads, Good potatoes and Good service". Our server Jessica was wonderful however the manager Mark needs to learn better customer service skills. I never complain about my food but this one time I couldn't help but to complain. We are regulars to the Texas Roadhouse in Buford. They are practically back to normal. These guys, it's seems are using Covid as an excuse for poor service. They don't even have peanuts. The other ones have individual bags. They seem highly anxious about serving customers. We were there this last week and we were informed they couldn't even seat a party of 14 in the same area. Covid is so intelligent it will jump between the same party if seated near each other but not a different party. These folks are not smart. They might as well stay closed if they can't function in practical ways. I'll keep my business in Buford. read more

Today I left Texas Roadhouse disappointed and sad. Never in my life had my family been treated so poorly like they did today. To start it off my family didn't receive utensils or plates(that are always given) until asked for. Even when we did ask ,plates were never delivered. Once we were seated bread was never delivered. I asked three different people for bread one being the manager. Two of them gave me a positive attitude telling me bread would be sent over and one gave me a negative attitude being the manager( tall about 5'7 white woman with black hair and glasses.). The manager gave me a bad attitude not solving my problem saying "bread will be sent" In a nasty attitude. During all this time our waitress never showed up to at least ask how we were doing. My father had ordered a salad with no egg and when the salad was brought it had egg. My dad preceded to state there were eggs in his salad to which it was taken back to remake the salad. When it was brought again it was the same salad with the same eggs as before. My dad once again pointed the obvious and the salad was taken back once again and once it was brought back again it was the same salad with small pieces of egg. My dad finally let it slide and just ate his salad. What would have happened if my dad was allergic to eggs? Would the staff have taken responsibility if he had an allergic reaction to the same salad that was brought back two times? During all this time bread was still not brought over. Others had been seated after us and they had received bread. After 30 minutes the bread had Finally arrived along with the waiter and 2 minutes after the food was delivered. To cut it short my food was prepared wrong and just in general my visit to Texas Roadhouse was a terrible experience that left me disappointed. read more

I have eaten here for years and have never gotten a bad meal. They start you off with free rolls & butter as you wait for your meal. There's also free peanuts at each table to snack on if that's your thing. The drink order have always come early and the wait for your food isn't long. Disgusting food. Got food poisoning. Filthy restaurant...filthier restrooms. Went for lunch. I ordered chili as my entree, but it came out as an appetizer long before my husband's meal. When I took a bite I hit a BONE! I sent it back & asked for just a side of mashed potatoes instead. Our waitress was very accommodating, but she sneezed twice over my husband's sweet tea! I've been to other Texas Roadhouse restaurants and have had passable food, but this experience was awful. To top it off, when I got the bill, they charged me for the bone-laden chili! On the way out, i stopped by the restroom & was shocked to find the boxes of peanuts (the ones they give you to munch on while you wait for your food) stored immediately outside the restroom door! The restroom, incidentally, smelled like the walls had been hosed down with urine. I'm nauseated just thinking about it. Avoid this place until they clean up their act. read more

I came for dinner at this location and ordered steak, baked potato and salad. Halfway through the salad I discovered a black hair under the lettuce. I called the waiter over who took it to the back and showed other staff. No apology from him, no apology from the manager. He offered to replace the side with another and then never brought anything. He completely ignored us and I waited at least 10 min to ask for butter for the potato and still no replacement side. He brought the check 20 min later. Still no apology. This place definitely has the potential to be good... with better management. We went their on a Sunday and (having worked in a restaurant all through college) it was obvious they were way overstaffed. There were at least 4 food runners for an establishment with maybe 100 tables? All they ever need on a real busy night would be 2 and a manager filling in where necessary. Most of the time the runners were standing around, talking on their cell phone, goofing around with others etc. If they had so much time, they should be refilling drinks or otherwise helping the servers out. We were brought to a table that had not been cleared yet. The busboy just arrived and was taking his time. Not a big deal but every little aspect of an establishment counts. A few minutes later I went to the bathroom to find two employees in there shootin' the s!#t one of which quickly left when I walked in. I ordered a burger (had a steak last night) with bacon (as listed on the menu) except it was missing the bacon. You'd think one of the 4 food runners would've noticed this (which is why it is important to have someone dedicated to expediting the food). I didn't feel like sending it back so I didn't say anything. As another patron mentioned... the peanuts are left over from the previous guest. Ours had random change in them as apparently the previous guest found it difficult to place their tip money on the table. The good news is the burger was cooked properly, the veggies were fresh, and the food was as good as could be expected for a chain like this. If this were my business, I'd be dropping the axe on some heads after tonight. Not only would the restaurant be more profitable but the service would be better and the employees less obnoxious. Texas Roadhouse does have amazing burgers and their appetizers are quite tasty. As our their ribs, very moist and great bbq sauce. But their other food for us has been hit or miss. My husband has ordered the steak many times, always medium, but it has yet to come out that way. Its either over done or way under done. Half order of chicken can be juicy or dry. And I have tried the grilled chicken salad and it taste like the frozen chicken breast you get at the store. All of the staff is very accommodating and very attentive. They do have a call ahead seating with the no wait app but that does not really put you in line any sooner. Once you can make your way to the hostess stand, you time really starts from there as the person who put their name on the list just in front of me with no call ahead was still seated before us. If you are going to market you have this feature, you should actually honor it. read more

Call ahead for seating, check if there is two of you and you can sit in the bar area first come first serve. Rolls and butter is amazing. Usually I will not eat steak unless it is at a high end restaurant, and the ribeye is a great choice. Also the grilled pork chop is a good choice. (Sometimes we're almost full before the meal arrives between the peanuts and rolls) -In years of going here, we've only had one "so-so" steak. Usually the steak is excellent. -Good size kids meals. -Ribs, chicken, and sides are all excellent. -Service is usually excellent. -For the amount of food - prices are great. Love this restaurant, even though it was packed and we had to wait for 30 min. For a table. My wife and I ate here the day we moved to Gainesville from Atlanta, and it couldn't have been more perfect! The steaks were amazing, and the manager went out of his way to welcome us, and even brought us a free blooming onion appetizer to welcome us to Gainesville. That started what's been a great move for us. This is an update. I usually have the grilled chicken salad, but today had the 6 oz Sirloin for lunch. I have always noticed that the cuts if meats viewed on entering in the case looked very good. Now I know that I probably had the best, most tender Sirloin I have had in my life. This was on par with most restaurant Filet Minion. My one problem is that they tend to over spice the steak. This was suppose to be a very special dinner for my family and I as I have been having some medical problems and this was my first time out of the house. We have eaten there several times before and most went well. Brooke the server did a fine job but it started when my wife had to wait twenty minutes for a frozen margarita . We ordered six ribeye, one was way over done so we had to send it back and wait another fifteen minutes. My steak had a BIG piece of fat plus a tail that should have been cut off to start with. This place is always packed- for a good reason! Easily better than its nearby peers Outback and Longhorns, Texas Roadhouse offers delicious steaks and a fun environment. Even though it's always busy I've never had to wait more than 15-20 minutes, even on a Friday. They have a fantastic prime rib and excellent wait staff! I consider them to be very reasonably priced for a steakhouse. read more
