The food always came out hot and fresh sometimes a little over cooked but overall it's been amazing experience probably eaten here at least 20 or 30 times since I've opened. Asked for a mudslide and the manager said SUNDAY evening 11/3 had came to the table and said they don't have that drink and to go to the Gainesville location. Went to Texas Roadhouse for lunch. The place was very busy but we were seated in no time. They were extremely organized. Lots of staff. Our server was exceptional, Rhiannon was very attentive. My friend and I visited this restaurant, we both ordered prime rib. When we received our dishes, the prime rib was full of gristle and did not taste very well. I ordered sautéed mushrooms to be placed on top of the prime rib and they were cold. After leaving the restaurant we both did not feel very well from eating the food. Have tried to give this place a chance several times. Steak has been wrong every single time (& they look at it and admit it.). It has been fixed each time but I have never been able to get out of there in less than an hour and a half. I gave it a year this last time to see if maybe it had improved. I was in a hurry, but had time if they were efficient. The call ahead seating was totally off. I was trying to call ahead, but by the time I got to speak to someone I was parking the car. They said on the phone there was no wait, and being in plain view, I continued to head in because I was the next person through their doors. Once I got in, I was told it was a 15 min wait. Not happy about that. I decided to try because by the time you leave, it would take probably about that much time. Then, 20 min later i was seated. I was dining alone and let them know I was in a hurry. Didn't matter. An hour and a half later, I was able to finally pay and leave. (I am a fast eater... I have been in and out of steak houses in 30 min.... Seated, order, eat, pay & leave). read more

This is my second in person visit. We have also done the curbside takeout. I haven't been impressed either time. Normally I love Texas roadhouse and I've been to many locations in the past, but this Texas roadhouse location was by far one of the worst I've ever been to. The staff was very slow and left drinks empty for over 25 minutes, it took a whole hour for our food to get out. Once our food had finally arrived to our table all of our steaks were cooked all the way through. We sent them back, waited another 20 minutes for our food, and then when our food came out it still wasn't cooked properly. By far one of the worst Texas roadhouse I have ever been to! If you enjoy slow service and poorly cook steaks I would recommend this place. read more

I will have to say I always love coming to Texas Road house. They are always friendly, bread is freshly done, server super nice. I will say, I am new in being allergic to black pepper and I ordered a salmon and forgot to mentioned it to the server. When the salmon came it was full off black pepper and had to send it back, yes it was my mistake, is new to me. She was very kind to send it back and the manager came over and made sure we were ok and got us a freshly done salmon without the black pepper, super nice and very tentative. I would of given them the 5 stars but The food took too long, more than usual. Not the second round of salmon but the initial order. Overall GREAT service. read more

My wife and I are fans of Texas Roadhouse, having eaten at several over the last couple of years. We find this chain to be someplace we can get a pretty good steak at a pretty good price (also, don't miss the delicious fresh-made bread they serve you when you're seated). Be aware that they have salted-in-the-shell peanuts, so if you're allergic, stay away. This location opened recently, so it was very busy at 1:00 on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated quicker than expected, and the bread and peanuts began the job of filling us up while we waited. Our order was taken quickly, and our drinks were at our table promptly. My salad was equally quick to arrive. Thank God for the bread and the nuts, because it took longer than we expected to get our steaks, even taking into account that the place was hopping. The steaks were cooked medium-well, as ordered. However, mine was fairly charred on the outside (to be honest, this added a rather enjoyable flavor to the sirloin), and was rather dry, other than directly in the middle. I've had better steaks (both off my grill, and at other Texas Roadhouse locations). John was our server, and he was pretty good. He wasn't overly attentive, but also took care of us when we needed something, without much delay. Overall, this visit merits a 3 star rating. We'll try again another time, given our affinity for this brand, and hope to be able to rate them higher in the future. read more

Take my wife and kid to eat. We ask for 3 simple meals. 2 side dishes each meal. Simple right ? I do notice that Our Waitress Brittney is having problems spelling and retaining the words I spoke 5 seconds before, So I repit my self extra slow. Don,t want to break her concentration. Meals arrived 15 minutes later, side dishes are not what we order and what we did order is in the wrong plate. My wife gets shrimps when she is allergic to seafood, we call Britney back and she looks confused like a monkey trying to do a math problem, while reading the order in her pad, she can't understand her own hand writing. After we slowly explained what the problem was she leaves and the manager comeback with my wife Food 15 minutes later, at this point I didn't started eating because I want to eat with my wife and now my food is cold. So I didn't eat, when the bill comes, oh man. They added an extra meal !! What's funny to me is that I get the Credit card out of my wallet and place it in the table and when BRITNEY comes back for me to sign the check she gives it to my wife. Was skeptical eating at a chain but the food was great! All the servers and staff were wearing masks and the tables were well spaced. Never felt uncomfortable in COVID times. That being said, my filet was wonderful!! Cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth! Potato was great and everyone at my table was very full and happy. Gina and her staff has no customer service skill, they do not know how to speak to patrons. The waitress was lazy and sloppy made mistakes on my drinks order and has a nasty attitude. I will never ever go to that restaurant again. My friend and I went there for dinner. We waited at least :45min before our server arrived and when is came she acted like was being bothered. So we went to Texas road house last night. Now. Me and my husband rarely go out maybe once or twice a year so needless to say we looked forward to our meals. Well the start off the drinks were good so I had high hopes for the meal. Upon getting out onion blossom appetizer it was really small compared to how it used to be . Then I had a side Caesar salad. Which was smothered in what I thought was dressing. Well I took a bite and it tasted like strait up mayo. I thought. Maybe it was in my head till my husband tasted it and he said "ew oh that is mayo!" So I sent it back and I did refuse a make up salad the manager offered cause honestly it was so bad It killed the idea of salad for me. Then when the entrees came (we both ordered bone in ribeye) mine was literally 80% unrendered fat . And our fries were forgotten till I said something to the waitress (she was wonderful) so the left overs I brought home went to our dog. The dog got more of a meal then me. I am so upset about the whole experience. $85 bill wasn't worth it at all. read more

My husband and I wanted to enjoy a nice dinner after a very stressful week, so we went to a tried and true restaurant, TR Ocala. While waiting to be seated, we admired the 11 oz top sirloin steaks on display and thought we would have a nice portion leftover to take home. Perfect! We decided that we'd also splurge on a loaded baked potato as well and looked forward to dinner while waiting to be seated. While waiting, a waitress came over to pick up some pre-portioned cups of butter for 2 stacked baskets of bread she was carrying and dropped one of the cups on the floor in front of the meat display case. She picked it up off the floor then placed it into the top basket. As I watched in horror, she noticed that I had seen what she'd done and quickly walked past me observing my obvious shock, she gave me an irritated look and went into the kitchen and came back out with one basket. We were seated, ordered, and waited for our food for 30-40 minutes. Well, our food finally came, but it was brought to us by the waitress that I saw earlier with the bread fiasco. She was very abrupt and unfriendly; asked us to cut into our steaks and asked if they were cooked to our liking, but before we could answer she snidely snapped, "perfect" then charged away. This is what we received: husband ordered 11oz top sirloin medium rare, loaded baked potato, broccol, house salad; what he got - steak looked like an 8oz, medium well done with a burnt grill taste, a loaded baked potato with tough, leathery skin that had to be cut with a steak knife with over cooked taste and tough uncooked broccoli that smelled like it came from a compost pile. My meal was exactly the same only my steak was well done after asking for medium. The salad and bread were the only saving grace for this dismal experience and undeniably, we will not be back. read more

Really enjoyed my first visit after the restaurant just opened. With the pandemic, This time I decided to take out. Very mediocre. After dealing with the confusing website, I set up a pick up time. They were 15 minutes late with the order. I ordered the steak and shrimp combo. The steak was supposed to medium rare....It came medium well with just a bit of red in the middle. It was stringy, tough, and dry. I have professional quality steak knives at home, and this piece of hard meat gave me quite a battle.I could only manage to eat half of it. Since we were already home, I didn't feel like driving back to return it. The shrimp was fair at best. Like so many business, Texas Roadhouse started out great, but if Saturday night was any indication, they are resting on past laurels. read more

I just did my first take-out order with Texas roadhouse every other restaurant strives for accuracy and speed took the better part of an hour to get my take out completely disorganized sucks I wouldn't recommend them to anybody I haven't even eaten my food and I'm already angry and disturbed in the whole meal is ruined for me because of how long it takes just to get the food when you order takeout if I wanted to wait an hour which nobody else does it's maximum of 20 minutes for anybody else regardless of how busy they are they have a special thing just for takeout read more

Well I have a so so view... husband an I went checked in and was told 25-30 mins for just us two, not a problem for us we will take it. We stood an watch many many parties leave an many many parties be seated. Well I start watching people check in after us and are being seated before us... WTF is going threw my head now 45 mins waiting my husbands says babe please go say something, so I speak to host she looks at screen an says well there is quite a few people ahead of you, I asked how?, I have a text message here saying 25-30 mins and it's been 45 mins already , she looks at me and say well if you put your name on line waiting list you jump in front of the people that are here waiting....So what your telling me I could be here for 20 mins and someone can go on line put his name in and then walk in 5 mins and walk right past me and sit ? Do what? I wanted to leave right there but my husband said "we have been here almost 50 mins let's just stay so we don't wait another 50 mins else where . Well I'm glad we did!! Waitress was great, food was amazing (better then Miller Al house, which I had the day before), drink was on point!! And the best part is my husband and I watched the manager on duty walk to each table and speak to the guest. Yes , he came over to our table asked how everything was, an we told him how the waiting process is wrong . Come to find out that's corporate world for you!! To start with what was good....the steaks were cooked just right...a great medium. The Cesar & house salad sides were really good....then things started to slip! We were told that tonight the 8oz sirloin was priced the same as the 6oz....great! But we received the smaller 6oz anyway! (This was confirmed by viewing the steaks in the cold case upon leaving. Certainly NOT the offered 8oz sirloin. My wife ordered coffee...it arrived cold! HOW can a server pour and carry coffee and not notice that it is not hot...??? I ordered a beer to be served WITH my steak.....it finally arrived near the END of the steak. The bread, though not bad, was not really good either unlike other like steak places. A disappointment on the bread. We tried (in vain as it turned out) to get the server to bring more butter for the just average baked potato. Instead, there is a BLAST of super loud 'music' and the servers were all 'LINE DANCING' instead of serving their customers!! WHY..!!! Most customers were just baffled and astounded by this craziness. No one we saw 'enjoyed' this silliness: we just wanted more butter for our already cold baked potatoes. This place is REALLY LOUD even before the silly dancing display...hard to talk without nearly yelling. Finally, the server magically reappeared to hard sell us some sort of 'voucher'...it was so loud we couldn't really hear. Conclusion: too loud, poor value, spotty service and a crazy dance display (instead of serving the tables!) that no one wanted....and we never did get the butter...!!!! One time here was enough, but if you like so-so food, really loud music and amateur 'line dancing' instead of service, this might be your place...!!! read more

My wife ordered the 11oz sirloin medium well. It arrived overcooked well done. To their credit, the steak was redone to medium well and we received a 30% reduction in the price. My issue is with the waiter. I ordered the full rack of ribs. I asked the waiter prior to ordering how many ribs in a full rack. He responded with "12". However, when I finished, I saw only "9" ribs. When I am told "12" by the waiter, I expect to receive "12" and not "9". The manager tried to tell me it was a miscommunication and that it goes by weight. To which I replied that last I checked, the animal has "12" ribs and if I am told "12" than I expect "12" and not "9". There was no miscommunication on our part as both my wife and I both heard the waiter say "12". As far as I am concerned, I did not get what I paid for. As a loyal customer, not only was I disappointed, I felt that I was ripped off. The manager made no attempt to make this right by me and therefore I have no desire to return in the future. read more

Texas Roadhouse has always been a favorite in a few different towns we have lived in. So happy to have one open in Ocala. It was a VERY busy Friday night. We took friends that had never been to a Roadhouse before. We had great service. Roadhouse is famous for making sure your steak is cooked to your liking. Our guest's steak was not correct but they went out of the way to make it right. The manager, Shelby K. Went above and beyond with professional customer service. Thank you for a great night, Shelby. We usually don't visit a restaurant until they are open for a month; give them a chance to work the kinks out. But we were very impressed with our first visit to this new location after only a week. We were greeted very cordially. The place was slammed, yet the wait was only "10-15 minutes" - but turned out to be 5. Rashida was our cheerful, attentive server - and from we could see was one of many. The entire staff appeared HAPPY to be there. As a result, they all worked quickly and efficiently. Nice warm Dinner Rolls were just enough to keep our hunger pangs in check. The meal was very good. Nothing tepid; everything hot. Prime Rib was cooked perfectly (medium) and very tender. As good or better than we've found anywhere in Ocala. The beer was as advertised, ice-cold. Yes, we could do without the high-decibel clamor, but it didn't really take away from our visit. TRH moves into first place on our list of casual steakhouses in Ocala. read more
