Every location is different but this is by FAR the worst experience we have ever had. At first, it started off incredible! Our waitress was ON TOP of things. Bringing us extra rolls, taking our drink and food orders as soon as we were ready and making sure we didn't need more rolls after we devoured them within the two minutes of sitting down. After dropping our drinks off, she was no where to be found. Someone else had dropped our salads off. One of the salads had italian dressing instead of ranch and the lady had told us the other salads adressing dropped on the way so she would be getting both. 10 minutes later, no dressing yet. I had asked the same lady who dropped our salads off and she told me she thought someone else was getting the dressings.. all while this was happening we were completely empty on our drinks. Our waitress still nowhere to be found. After another 10 minutes or so, the other lady waitress came back and told us that she couldn't find our waitress but she would refill our drinks for us. A little bit after (What I am assuming was the manager? He was dressed in a blue polo.) came over to ask us if we needed anything and that our waitress would be right back. Another 10-15 minutes later, our waitress showed up out of no where. No apology or anything. She acted like nothing had happened. We finally received our food. My sisters was cold, her baked potato didnt have any sour cream, my steak was still raw and the other sisters was just room temperature. It still look us a hot minute in order to flag our waitress down. All in all, the service was terrible. The only thing that was good was the rolls that arrived the moment we sat down. Never experienced a bad meal from this restaurant chain, ever. That is, until today. My wife and I ordered the filet medallions for her Mother's Day meal. The quality of the filets was horrible. Went here tonight 12-26-24 with my wife and her friend and Boyfriend. This place has gone downhill it was at one time a great place to eat at. I ordered a Medium Rare Steak they fully cooked it I told the waitress she took it and I waited 30mins and I gotten the same thing another fully cooked Steak and keep in mind this place was not packed. Love this place. The ambiance is so much fun and the service is great. I personally don't like steak that much however their portobello mushroom chick is my favorite thing there. On a scale of 5 Stars they are getting a negative 5 Stars. Was put on the waiting list at 5:20 they finally called us at 6:25. There were no tables 'ready' then why call us back? I saw four tables cleared and they were for other guests of four or more even though there were couples sitting at tables like the clean ones. They wanted us to go back and wait up front. Yes I lost my cool. There was a bus person, it must of been a 'they' because you couldn't tell, that person was visiting with others. The manager said our table needs to be cleaned off and asked us to wait up front I said no! I told her that I would bus the table....which I did! We stopped for dinner with family last night, a Wednesday, so there were four of us. There was no wait and we were seated quickly despite it being busy. Our server was Savannah. Her service was a perfect combination of personality, efficiency, and attentiveness. Exemplary. We got our drink order right away and were also given a basket of rolls that were off the chain. Savannah made sure our drinks were never empty and kept the wonderful rolls coming. I ordered the bone-in rib eye and must say it was delicious and cooked as ordered - medium rare - which is something of a rarity itself. I have paid $15 more for steaks that weren't as good. Equally good was the salad and baker that came with it. Being too busy with my own plate I'm not sure what others ordered but I sure didn't here any complaints. Servings were all plentiful. The only non-punitive deficit was the noise, but it's a roadhouse and in my opinion should be expected. So there you go - between Savannah's exemplary service and the scrumptious food, 5 well deserved stars. To be honest, I can't wait to go back! read more

Went on a Thursday night and still had 20-30 min wait...good thing I logged on their mobile app and got in line... Service was wonderful and attentive, food came out quickly. Anniversary dinner at TRoadhouse in Olathe on a Thursday 6pm, it has always been one of our favorite restaurants. 1) This place was so over crowded and it was loud and uncomfortable. 2) Let me say, the waitress and staff doing the serving were very efficient! We felt bad for them, they were literally bumping in to one another due to the narrowly crowded space! 3)Our order was a 14oz ribeye med rare, It was maybe 3/4" thick, it was terrible, the server agreed and reordered a second time. 4) While one of us continued to eat, the ribeye took 20 minutes before it came out. It was about a medium this time and another 3/4" thick, it did not appear to be a ribeye but we accepted it. 5) The manager did come out and check on us and he did comp our tab, much appreciated. 6)We observed another table who also returned his order for a second plate and his waitress appeared to be in agreement with him though we didn't know what he ordered. 7) The bigger problem that we observed was the never ending crowd and it was unsafe. If anything had happened it would have been a stampede without a good ending. 8)As we were leaving we were shocked to see the lines of people along the front end of the waiting area, off to the sides and out the doors. They were sitting and standing with many young kids being held by those people waiting, it was packed! 9)We estimated maybe 50 people at least, doors being held opened with people squeezing in and out. We could not hardly weave our way out of the place and their staff were not assisting at all and I doubt if they had the staff to do so anyway. 10)This was beyond an average crowd. And again, a huge safety hazard. 11)What is the occupancy of this place?? Shouldn't the City look into this? 12) Sadly we won't be going back anytime soon. read more

It isn't often that I want a steak that isn't going to be super high class or cooked on my own grill. This worked out fantastically! The food was delicious and our service was great. I have been here before, but not sure I can even remember that visit. This one though... Quick delivery of bread and drinks. Both delicious and just right. Bread was piping hot with that amazing cinnamon butter. Then the appetizer which is a triple grouping of cheese bites, potato skins, and boneless wings. Next came the steak. It was cooked to perfection (Medium Rare) for me. With a loaded baked potato and green beans it was a perfect meal. This is on the list for the next time as well. read more

When my husband and I go out for dinner, we really do appreciate excellent service. We don't believe in giving a great tip just because your a waitress. You have to earn it. We'll let me tell you what, we had one of the best waitresses last night. Mariah is her name. We always have the best service at this location. The kids absolutely love the rolls and flavored teas/lemonades and are usually full before they get their meals. Def recommend joining the waitlist online before heading over, as there is always a long wait. The only issue I have is with the console that sits on the table with games. No where does it say it's going to charge you $1.99 and it doesn't even show up the bill the server brings - however they make you pay on the kiosk and the extra charge shows up. Texas road House is one of my favorite places for steaks with a good reasonable price. The service was great and spot on, the food came out fresh, hot, and cooked in accordance to our instructions. I'm only giving them 4 stars because the waiting area is really small and gets crowded really fast. Tip: call ahead and get in line "wait list" ahead of time, they don't take reservations. We called and told it's 1hr till we get seated, showed up in 1hr and still had to wait for 10-20mins, this happened on the weekend. It's really good food, and the crowdedness is expected. You would have better wait time during the week days. As for the food: Start with the KC strip and explore the manu from there. Also, there is a desired cooking scale ( rare all the way to well done). You can also ask for A1 sauce with your steak. Tonight my family and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Olathe Texas Roadhouse. It never disappoints..... but I'd like to give the staff credit for a great experience. My mom is 94 and she has difficulty walking. When I realized we were going to be seated to the back of the restaurant I asked if we could sit closer to the front. A little adjustment and they made that happened. After being seated we realized we needed a larger table....again, it happened without incident . Max was our server and was outstanding! They don't take reservations - but do take call ins, so call on your way in and they'll check you in as if you had just arrived checking in with the hostess at the stand! We called in for 8 on a busy Friday night - and only waited for about 15 minutes upon arrival before our table was ready for us. Our server was way on top of it- and for how busy the place was, we really didn't have to wait too long for our food (party of 8). They have the most perfectly baked dinner rolls here!! Served with their cinnamon butter- I had to slap my own hand to stop myself from coming back for more. So tempting, as they're bottomless!! I ordered the bone-in rib eye - cooked medium well, with loaded mashed potatoes and buttered corn as my 2 sides. The steak was cooked perfectly, with good marbling. My sides were great as well! When we were guided to the table, we saw the food scrapes from the previous customers on the table. Noboday checked on us for about ten minutes. And then we called a waitress who was passing our table. We asked to change the table. The waitress called someone and the lady said "no" because the table is closed. She cleaned the table, but still we could see scrapes from table and chair. The waitress did not check on us ever. The only time she did was to ask about drinks. That's it. We ordered at the same time and waited another twenty min . Food came, but she even did not come to the table for giving the default bread. The food is bland. I asked her if you have any bread and she said yes. She came with bread. Then she did not check on us at all to see if the food is good or something. Not satisfied at all. We're not happy at all. I want in it approximately 1 hour to see where we were in line and was told by a rude hostess that I had only waited 59 minutes of my 1 hour 15 minutes wait. Love the fact that they offer cheaper dinner prices if you dine before 6pm. For $8.99 I got the chicken critter dinner with two sides. Went with the staple mashed potatoes and green beans. The sides were great and very flavorful. Green beans served with bits of bacon that makes your mouth smile. The chicken critters were much smaller than I remember and lacking meat, which would be my only complaint. Our server was fantastic. Put up with a larger group and several loud kids. We usually love Texas Roadhouse, but this time it was not worth the money we paid. The food was just okay, we could have made better at home. They forgot a few items that we ordered, and they also put the wrong sides on the steak orders. Our kid ordered mac and cheese and it was like a box of kraft..def not worth the extra money it cost to get it. The mash potatoes were extremely dried out. Our waitress was either new or had a very bad memory. Brought rolls as usual, then said I'll bring you more rolls and never did. She seemed rushed even though it wasn't very busy. At end of meal she said I'll bring you rolls to take home, took the credit card came back very soon, and totally forgot them.
