I actually really enjoyed my meal today. I haven't been to a Texas Roadhouse in a long time, but I was kind of craving their house side salad today. It was really tasty! I got blackened salmon, with green beans too. Hubs got a chicken caesar salad. Croutons were on point today, as were the green beans. Our server Karina was excellent. I've found a renewed appreciation for Texas Roadhouse again. read more

This had to have been the best meal I've had in a very long time! Everything was absolutely perfect. The bread was warm and fluffy, the meat tasted amazing and was cooked to my liking. Nothing was burnt. Even the soda tasted good. My waitress was incredibly nice. I am so sad that I don't love closer to that location but I'm still thankful that I have the one 15 minutes from my house! I would 100% recommend!! read more

Whatever was in the water must have given the waiter(s) a negative reaction because they and I mean ALL would walk right past you as if you didn't exist. Tried waving a few down only to be given some look as if I had something on my forehead. Now I will not say it was prejudice but this was unacceptable. Made me and my daughter not want to come back and be treated like that, ever again. So disappointed. read more

The food was cooked well. Reserved a spot online so didn't have to wait when all the steelers fans were in town. Promptly seated and I ordered coffee and my cup was never empty. And usually most breakfast spots will let your cup run dry so it shows what a great waitress I was blessed with. The box up front was out of peanuts which was a bummer. Then my little pail was empty at the table. I did manage to grab one peanut on the way out from a pail on a table that was empty. A PEANUT WAS GOING DOWN THAT NIGHT! read more

Looks like your typical chain diner. Ordered the most expensive rib eye on the menu during an weekend lunch, asked for med-rare, but steak came out almost like leather. Asked to be recooked and the waiter was very nice, the store manager came out to ask if the newer steak is okay. It was okay, they end up re-cook a new steak, and somehow, the newer steak do actually look like a $35 steak. Giving 4 stars due to great service and great store manager, but the fact that they tried to give a sorry piece of steak first, then swap out to a 'real' one was a bit disappointing, consider I could have gone to Bobby Q and ordered the same thing for the same money. read more

I don't come to Texas Roadhouse at all. I was recently invited to meet here for dinner and was kind of surprised since things seem to have changed for them in the last 12 years for the better. I still think the food here is still meh at best. For what you pay you'd think the food and quality would be better. I was mostly surprised at how they've become a bit efficient with the wait time and turnaround. You still have to go to host station and check in. They hand you a buzzer/pager thing. Tell you the wait is 40 plus minutes on a Saturday. Since I'm here for the company- I'm ok with this. Normally- the food would have to be pretty damn tasty for this kind of wait. We find some seating by the door. The hostess comes around and hands us menus. Tell us we can start taking our orders and just hand them to server when we get a table. I thought this was pretty cool! Steak was good but two hairs were found. One in the Mac and cheese i don't know how she didn't see that literally sitting on the side and one on the steak so nasty I didn't even say anything just didn't tip kinda disappointed was looking forward to this l steak lol read more

My friends and I arrived at the Texas roadhouse for dinner at 5 PM. We had one person who was going to be late due to an appointment. The management would not allow us to be seated and order until the fifth person had arrived. We told the manager that we were only four people and we would order. He responded with the fifth person will not be allowed to sit with you. This is a ridiculous rule. Shame on you Texas Roadhouse. P.S. The food and service were very good although the food arrived before our drink order. read more

This location was so great during the pandemic in 2020 and early 2021 before the gov reopened everything. Except their carryout service... they regularly got our order wrong, so I was so glad when they reopened. Once the gov reopened everything, this location (not sure about others) went downhill fast. Their servers aren't required to mask if they aren't vaccinated, and they get pretty close at the table. Some of them even feel free to sit down with you while you order. Oh and if you ask if they are vaccinated, the manager will stop by to erroneously quote that you are violating HIPAA law. And if you try to ask for a vaccinated server because you're trying to protect someone who can't get the covid vaccine? Oh, they won't allow that, either. It's discrimination! And against the law, maybe? I tried to let the main manager know. She apologized for the inconvenience and invited us to do carryout. But if you don't care about any of that, they have great rolls and green beans. Don't get the chili. Tastes like they used discarded meat with lots of gristle. If you can't tell, it's been a disappointment lately, especially since I believe their founder died from covid complications and you'd think they'd be more sensitive to this. read more

The family came here as part of celebration for nephew's birthday. Sweet tea, rolls, sides- all pretty standard for Roadhouse. Wasn't happy that they sent the message that could go in for table....just to have to wait another 10 minutes crammed in the lobby with all the other people that had been called up too. RICARDO was awesome! He had a personality that wasn't robotic, he left us a pitcher since it was clear that we were drinking a lot and we all had sweet tea, he didn't roll his eyes or huff (where we could see at the very least) because we weren't thinking and kept asking for stuff, and then had a coupon and discount. Of course we tipped on the prediscounted bill as anyone should. The other irk besides the hosts making people sardines is that this is the 4th time that this place has over cooked my steak! And this time it wasn't just my steak, literally 3 of the 4 that were ordered were over cooked....at a steak restaurant.... I get it was busy but when you make that many steaks, you should be able to do with eyes closed and not even paying attention with no issues read more

Their service is friendly, the ambience is designed for a no-frills crowd that watches sports and drinks beer. It is not designed for a high end steak house with high end prices, for high end people. Nevertheless, the food is delicious, more nearly healthy than the typical local steak place, with appetizers that whet your whistle like "rattle snake bites" - deep-fried cheese balls with a jalapeño kick and ranch dressing to cool it a tad. They feature onion blossoms - like onion rings, only bountiful and in a large enough order that you're forced to bring half of it home. The steaks are cooked properly and, while not aged and marinated like a high end steak house, nevertheless are delicious. The sides include either a baked potato that can come "loaded" or baked sweet potato with a similar option. The piéce de resistance is their epic rolls and cinnamon- tinged butter, which threatens to overload the dieting diner to overdose on carbs. Bon appetite! read more

Do you like to have a large variety of steaks, chicken and ribs to choose from? Well this is the restaurant for you. When you walk in you are greeted will a smiling face who is your hostess plus you can see what your steak looks like before it is grilled. (Think of if you were in the grocery store at the meat section). The atmosphere is poppin and people are happy to eat here. Their dinner rolls are amazing and yes I asked if I could take extra home. Their chicken fried steak is huge so come hungry or you can always share with your special person. The grilled salmon is amazing. Who would think that a place known for steaks can grill a wonderful piece of salmon. It's not dry or bland. It's a must try. I really like the large variety of sides. The mashed potatoes with white gravy is pretty delicious. It reminds me of home with my grandma. Everyone does look happy to work here. Tables are being cleaned fast and the service is pretty good. The one down fall when I came here was that the bathroom was a mess. It needed to be checked on and cleaned up. Bummer I know the cows always say "eat more chicken" but why not eat more meat? read more

So my wife and I came here for Date Night Sunday night, they were quite busy which I expected. We showed up around 6pm. We waited 20 minutes which I thought was really fast. We were seated and we ordered our appetizer right away. Cactus Blossom who could go wrong it was delicious. At the same time we ordered the appetizer we ordered our dinners. So we waited, waited, waited, about an hour and 15 minutes later we made mention to the waiter that 4 tables in our area had gotten their food and that one just left. He said they lost our ticket. Which was weird because we got our appetizer. He didn't apologize or anything close to that. We eventually got our dinners and they were good. Checking in, we got a free appetizer through Yelp! We waited and waited because they didn't know how to process it, about 22 minutes because it had a countdown on the coupon. We finally paid and we were leaving when I asked to talk to a manager and tell them that I think at some point someone should have apologized. They brought out the waitress that was in the section over. Lol, I just left. I must have been asking for to much. If you've been following along and I know a lot of you have, I always refuse free food. There are more needy people out there than me and i refuse. I just wanted someone to say our bad, maybe we'll try harder so that doesn't happen to the next guest, or I'll address it! Anything!! When I told her what happened she said "OK!". Classy! read more

Great service tonight! We called ahead and even though it was a busy Saturday night, we were sat within three minutes of arriving! Our server Dylan was awesome! Had our drinks delivered and our orders taken within ten minutes of being sat. The wait for food was a little long, but to be expected for a Saturday night. Awful. Worst experience ever. We left our house around 5:30 and initially went to the Stapley/ 60 location. When we discovered it was closed, I used the website to get added to the waitlist for the Tempe location. The notice came through at 6:02 that our party of six had a 45-55 minute wait. Not a huge deal. It was my friend's birthday and they wanted to try Texas Roadhouse for the first time, plus we had the drive from Mesa to Tempe anyway. But, despite the fact that we should have been seated by 6:57 at the latest, we weren't seated until 7:24 (1 hr 22 min wait). We sat in the car for most of it but you can only keep kids in a car so long, so eventually we went and waited by the door and started asking for status updates. Once inside, we ordered appetizers and meals. Apps were prompt. But, by about 8:30, no meals had materialized, the kids were in meltdown mode, my patience was gone, and I was ready to just leave. We flagged the waitress down and said we were tired of waiting and just wanted to pay and go. She offered to check on the timing and came back like 5+ mins later and said it would be a little while longer... not helpful. I again told her we wanted to go. She offered to get a manager. I said fine. No manager came but she returned with most of our food a minute later. The youngest kiddo's meal (chicken tenders) was MIA and she said she'd be back out with it in a minute. We all started offering him bits of our food and started eating. A few minutes later, she returns and reports they're out of what he ordered and asks if we wanted to switch. Nope. That's the only thing on the menu the kid would eat. So, she lets me know she'll take it off the bill. Well, duh. Why was that even a statement? Of course we're not paying for something you didn't provide. I can't fathom why it would not become apparent until everyone else was served that they were out of the final meal though. She goes and then we realize the other major issue. She never asked how we wanted our meat cooked, so the two of us who will only eat well-done got rare. At that point, I was beyond done and was about to go to the front to find someone who would let us settle up so I could just leave. The waitress came up as I was getting up and got us our bill. 8:42. Yes. This whole fiasco took almost three hours. Three people ate and took their leftovers home. Two left uneaten meals on the table. One never got a meal. And, for that, I paid $115. I will say the waitress was kind but she had no idea how to deal with the situation. She was young and clearly did not have the training and backup she needed. I don't know if she ever flagged down a manager but I do know we never saw one. There were issues across the full span of events that can only be attributed to poor management. I know I won't ever be returning to this location for sure. My friend has sworn off Texas Roadhouse for life. read more

This place never disappoints!!! They have reasonable prices and great steaks! The place is very casual and country. While you're waiting, you can snack on some dried peanuts and throw the shells on the floor, which entertained my 5 year old by stomping on the shells!!! The ambiance is definitely not for "first-date" type...or maybe it is?! It is somewhat loud but not too loud that you guys need to yell at each other. They have the best dinner rolls, fresh, warm and soft. The steaks are ALL amazing and well seasoned...there's no wrong choice here. Service is awesome! Our server, Natasha, is the best!!! She was mindful of our drinks and often checks on us if we need anything else. We also got a free appetizer if you check in at Yelp. Just present the coupon to the server. The Tempe Location was opened in May of 2015. But it all began on February 17, 1993, when Kent Taylor opened the first Texas Roadhouse in Clarksville, Indiana. I asked for a pound and a half of prime rib, and I got 3/4 that was only slightly pink in the very center. It was cold and had no aju, and no juice whatsoever in the meat! There wasn't even much smoke flavor at all. Worst prime rib ever! There's much better BBQ around for much less money!

I had to revise my review drastically after a recent dining experience that left me extremely disappointed. Despite checking in ahead for the waitlist, we endured over an hour of waiting past our proposed seating time. The service was shockingly slow, with drinks arriving late and my salad forgotten altogether. We received the wrong appetizer, which initially wasn't a big deal but super annoying. However, what truly soured the experience was the appalling treatment we received regarding a Yelp promotion. I tried to be patient and understanding up until this point because I realize it was a Friday night and were busy. I've utilized the "check-in for a free appetizer" offer on Yelp multiple times without issue. However, this time, when I attempted to redeem it, our server's response was nothing short of disdainful. Before I could even mention the coupon and as I was taking out my phone, he preemptively dismissed it, saying "I already know where this is going" and claiming they don't honor Yelp promotions due to alleged issues on Yelp's end. This excuse was particularly aggravating considering the error with our appetizer in the first place, which we the pointed out and still weren't offered a refund or honoring the promotion. The server's hostile attitude continued when he demanded we open the container containing the incorrect appetizer, apparently not believing us when we stated in was wrong, so he could inspect it. Are you kidding me? His only concern was that HE entered it in the computer correctly, and proceeded to throw the cooks under the bus. I was left in disbelief at the blatant bait-and-switch tactics and the outright hostility displayed by our server, who ironically wore a shirt proclaiming "I love my job." The experience was utterly unacceptable, and I'm deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer service exhibited by this establishment. We were very excited to see a Texas Roadhouse coming to within 2 miles of our house. We went to the opening on May 11th and it was awesome. I had 12oz piece of prime rib. It was the best I'd ever had. The salad was great, the rolls were fantastic, and the cheese fries were out-of-this-world. We went again the 17th and a restaurant has never made a faster 180 degree turn. I wanted some more prime rib. I ordered medium and it came to me with grill marks and no cooking. As raw as could be. My wife's was a little better but not medium either. The waitress took my wife's back to the kitchen and left mine in front of me. About 5 minutes later, the manager came over and asked what was wrong. I told him I'd ordered medium and got raw. He agreed and took it back. About 20 minutes later, he brought back the same piece of meat and although better, it was still purple on the inside. He said he was sorry and asked me if I wanted something else. I asked for BBQ chicken. It came out in about 5 minutes and it was good. The manager said he would wipe it from the bill. I had already given the waitress a coupon for a free appetizer. The bill finally came and I noticed that I was charged for 2 prime ribs and even the appetizer. I told the waitress about the bill and it took her about 15 minutes to fix the check. All in all, we were there for a little over two hours. DEFINITELY NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. read more

My family and I had such a terrible service. I'm sad to write this review because I love eating here. When my family came in we had to wait 50 mins when the reception said it would be only ten. I overlooked this because i enjoy eating here. Although what really got us ticked off was when my family and I had a terrible server. When we sat down our server, David had told us that there were no bread. This was fine until we saw other servers bringing out bread for everyone, and the bread on the counters near the front. Out of all the times we've come here they never had run out of bread. Later our server never came to serve us after we ordered. We had to ask other waiters and waitresses to help with our food and drinks. When we told the waitress our problem she immediately knew who we were talking about. Which means he has done this many times. David our server only visited our table twice throughout our dinner, and never checked on us. He also never gave us our refills or our condiments. When we left the building he came after us and gave a rude sarcastic remark, which we think is because we didn't give a tip(we didn't tip because of the terrible service). I've been to Texas Roadhouse a few times now, and it's always been a reliable spot for a good meal. While nothing on the menu has ever blown me away, I appreciate having a consistent place to go for a decent steak. However, there is one thing that Texas Roadhouse does incredibly well, and that's their rolls. These things are out of this world! Warm, soft, and fluffy, with a hint of sweetness - I could eat these rolls all day, every day. They're easily a 5/5 in my book, and I always look forward to them when I visit. While the rest of the menu may not be outstanding, it's still good quality food at a reasonable price. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is casual and laid-back. It's the kind of place you can go to with a group of friends or family for a fun night out. Overall Texas Roadhouse is not the best restaurant I've ever been to, but it's a reliable spot for a decent meal. And of course, those rolls are a game-changer! read more

This was my first time ever eating at a Texas Roadhouse, and I have to say--I was pleasantly surprised! My friend from Arizona raved about it, so I decided to give it a try while visiting Tempe. I ordered the bacon burger, and we split the fried pickles and a combo platter. Everything was delicious! The flavors were on point, portions were generous, and the food came out hot and fresh. The drinks were also great--nice and strong, just how I like them. And let me just say--the biscuits are to die for. They come out warm and fluffy, and when you spread that sweet cinnamon butter on top? Game over. Absolutely perfect. It honestly might've been one of my favorite parts of the meal. Overall, I had a great first experience, and now I'm curious to see if the locations in Southern California live up to this one. I recently dined at Texas Roadhouse and had a mixed experience. The food was tasty and well-prepared, living up to the restaurant's reputation for excellence. However, the experience was marred by a rude manager who seemed uninterested in addressing our concerns, after asking to have our party sit next to us instead of across from us separated by a glass window, this manager was unable to accommodate us due to the fact that the table was dirty and he did not want to clean it. Service from waiter's pretty fair manager and assistant managers and reception horrible when you complain or say anything they "you corporate laws or rules and it makes sense to them but a bad meal is a bad meal and bad management is bad management I don't recommend this place if you want to have a good time or a good meal or especially having someone that's educated talk to you. Management does not like to manage they like to blame everybody else and they stand around pretending like they did something right. David was our server and he gave us such bad service! He barely checked up on us and took forever on our drinks when we needed a refill. The food is AMAZING. And the owner? So incredibly kind and welcoming. You can tell there's a lot of heart behind this place, which makes supporting an amazing local Arizona small business even better. We will 100% be back! Oh--and they have Trivia Night on Thursdays, so now we have another excuse to come back. Seriously, go check them out. You won't regret it!

My son and I had a seafood boil and it was pretty good. We had king crab, shrimp, and lobster - all good, but rather expensive. The shrimp was a steal for a full pound, and we would probably skip the lobster tail next time. Make sure to get all the sauces and seasonings, because that really gives the boil great flavor. The other entrees were decent, but go for the boil (obviously). Service was great and the people were all very nice. Good food, fair price, and stick to what they are known for and you will be happy.
