Absolutely disgusting. The worse Thai experience ever! Ordered Crab Rangoon, fried dumplings, pad Thai and orange chicken with fried rice. The dumplings and crab Rangoon was the only thing edible. The sauce served with it was runny with barely any flavor. I'm a huge lover of Pad Thai. This was served swimming in "BBQ sauce". It was bad. Super bad and of course I sent it back. The orange chicken was super lacking in flavor as well. The texture was off for orange chicken. Everything was served at once and within minutes of ordering which tells me no TLC was in the kitchen. They seem do a huge take out business leaving me to think it's quantity over quality. We won't be back!

Tong the manager greeted me as soon as I entered the restaurant. I was really surprised how easily the pork bellies I ordered melted in my mouth with a taste that knocked me out! The restaurant is very welcoming and has a at home environment. I know that my Muay Thai kickboxing teacher would love it there!!! INSTAGRAM: JKD Sifu Mike Goldberg

I'm a loyal customer to my favorite Thai and lao restaurant. However, whenever i've tried everything on the menu and I start feeling like I live there, it's time to venture out! Good ol Yelp led me to Thai Barn. It's in a little strip center off of Western Center. Tucked into a corner. Small place. First visit, I had pork and Chinese broccoli. The pork had a good crispyness and good flavor. I love Chinese broccoli. It's superior to regular broccoli. The lad na was good with the lovely gravy. The money bags were tasty with fried chicken skin with ground chicken inside. My 2nd visit I had the lao steak. Tender meat and delicious. Khao piek Sen was good as well. Service was good. Enjoyed the Mason Jar of sweet tea.

We always enjoy dining at Thai Barn--it's truly our favorite go-to spot for Lao food. Everything there is just perfect. When we used to live around the corner, we ordered takeout twice a week because we couldn't get enough! Now that we're in Dallas, we haven't found anything quite like it on this side of town. My husband's favorite dishes are Khao Piek Sen and Pad Kee Mao, both packed with the perfect balance of flavor and spice. We usually go for spice level 3 or 4, which always hits just right. Beyond the incredible food, the people at Thai Barn make the experience even better. Everyone is super friendly, and the restaurant has felt like home from day one. They know our names and have treated us like family from the very beginning--and that hasn't changed. The restaurant itself is always clean and well-maintained, without that old, lingering smell that some places have. Overall, Thai Barn exceeds our expectations in every way. If you're looking for amazing food, great service, and a warm, family-oriented atmosphere, this is the place! We only wish they'd open a location on our side of town!

Best kao piek in Fort Worth. Very nice staff. Food is authentic, would recommend it if you are around the area wanting authentic and fair priced Thai/Lao food.

Best Pad Kee Mao in Fort Worth - spicy levels are aggressive. Highly recommended this place!

It was spicy. It was flavorful. It was absolutely delicious. There was a good amount of chicken to rice ratio. Easily devoured the whole thing in a few minutes. Some things stood out as different today: - It was desolate on a Thursday at noon, just 2 couples eating - The food is different - see below The good? Service was fast. There were 4 male workers hanging out, ready to serve us. So that was nice. Also, the app and meal came out fast. Today, two of us shared: - Fresh Spring Roll with Shrimp - Pad Key Mao with Beef There were two shrimp rolls in the order. Both were very fat - stuffed full of lettuce and cabbage mostly. Each roll had 1/2 a shrimp in it. For long rolls, I'm accustomed to two 1/2 shrimps in them. Being so fat, they were harder to eat as they sort of fell apart from the bulk of green in it. As we split our meal, they served each of the two rolls on their own plates, each with a dish of peanut sauce. So that was nice. The Pad Key Mao (Drunken Noodle) was meh. I'd rate it a 2.5 on its own. The presentation was nice but there just wasn't much flavor and the beef wasn't thin strips of sirloin. I think we'll pause Spice for a bit.

They were good and fresh. I'd like to have had some fresh basil inside them. The peanut sauce was Devine. The perfect compliment. The crab Rangoon was soooo good. Lightly crispy in texture and delicious. One of the best I've ever eaten. The chicken pad Thai was "ok". I ordered a 2 in heat level and it was served a bit more "hotter" than I'd have liked. The chili oil slightly over powered the dish. The range offered was 1-5 in terms of spice and thought I'd be safe with a 2. I'm still trying to decide if I liked it or not (I'm super picky when it comes to Thai food) Landing 3 stars for the Pad Thai. The fried rice was good as was the wonton soup. My sis enjoyed it even though she's not a huge Thai food lover. This is a hole in the wall with only 6 tables. Service was Friendly and quick. Tried to hit the 3.5 star button but couldn't quite connect it.

M that I had ordered the spicy basil and chicken dish, the fried tofu appetizer and the fried shrimp appetizer during my last visitm The spicy basil and chicken dish I ordered I asked for a level two spice because I wasn't really wanting something super spicy . Their level two is other Thai restaurants levels three or four so it was spicier than I had anticipated but I didn't mind because I do like spicy food. I just wasn't in the mood for it at night, but it was good.Mm crispy shrimp appetizers were probably the best I've ever had at a Thai restaurant. The wonton wrapper on the outside was super crispy almost no oil which I really appreciate it wasn't greasy tasting and there was I want to say spinach or a green vegetable that was also incorporated inside the wrap so I really really like that The most disappointing item that I got was the fried tofu because it was overcooked almost to the point of being burnt, which made it very dried out and tough . Sadly, this was the one dish. I was really excited about because so few places make or fried tofu anymore. The portion size was fair for the price, but it was pretty inedible. I will probably not be ordering this dish again. Overall, the portion size for the price was very fair . The main entrée and the shrimp appetizer I ordered were delicious. The restaurant is very clean and the kitchen looked spotless and immaculate. It's a great little neighborhood restaurant. I'll definitely be going back and trying some of the other items on their menu. I would definitely recommend.

While the bahn mi isn't exactly traditional, it is still very good -- I'd highly suggest getting it with the pate. The sampler appetizer has a little bit of everything and is great for sharing. Malai Kitchen in Clearfork is a welcome detour from a shopping afternoon, Thai and Vietnamese…read morecuisine in a bright, airy space that makes you want to settle in for longer than your credit card probably intended. A quick note on seating: the patio is lovely in theory, with the optional open windows and a breezy feel, but the chairs are not winning any comfort awards. Inside booths are the move. Also worth noting, this is Fort Worth, and once the thermometer hits triple digits, the patio conversation ends itself if the windows are open. Plan accordingly. Malai starts every table with steamed sticky rice and an eggplant dip, which is a charming little ritual and a genuinely good one. We also kicked things off with the Edamame, a heads up on the heat level there, and the Fried Imperial Rolls, filled with ground pork and shrimp and served with a sesame soy sauce. Fair warning: these do not photograph well and arrive at the table looking a little shy. Don't be fooled. They're flavorful, subtly spicy, and well worth ordering. For entrees, we tried the Basil Vegetable Fried Rice two ways, one vegan and one with chicken. The vegan version was a genuine surprise, with vegetables cooked just right and a flavor that didn't need the chicken to make its case. The mushrooms, however, had the texture of something you'd find in a hardware store. Chew at your own risk. The Green Curry, meanwhile, was a case of too much of a good thing. The curry was so heavy-handed it drowned everything underneath it. Sometimes restraint is a virtue. Save room for the Banana Pot de Crème. It's creamy, subtly sweet, and a graceful finish to the meal. The service at Malai is enthusiastic, and I do mean enthusiastic. The staff works as a team, all smiles, attentive, always nearby. Occasionally a little too nearby. More than once a plate nearly disappeared before we were done with it. It's a small complaint, and honestly a far better problem than the alternative. They're warm, cheerful, and clearly enjoy what they do, which goes a long way. Portions are generous, so order a few dishes and share the wealth. For a lunch stop between shops, Malai Kitchen punches well above its weight.

This place is legit, the real deal! I recommend stopping by if you are in the area because it is so worth it. They are located in a small shopping strip mall thing on the Haltom city / Fort Worth border. I have had their duck, the tum yum soup, a rice noodle dish, and an appetiser I can't remember. During my most recent visit, I had the green curry with beef at a level 2 spice and the drunken noodles level 4. I love that they make sure to ask what level of spice you want on every dish because i have been to a couple of places that just make them all the same level as your main dish. In the past, I have gotten their Tum Yum soup, and its delicious. I had their pad se ew with beef, amazing. I had their spring rolls, pork belly, and they are one favorite things on the menu. The service here is great; they have lots of space to host a big lunch rush. Highly recommend yall try them out.
