Had the pad see ew with chicken and Chinese Broccoli and I have had many pad see ew dishes and this was just okay, Chinese Broccoli was a bit hard and not tender as in other places, chicken had no flavor and wasn't tender at all. They charge you one price for noodles and one price for meat choice or even combination, in other words they hike up the price from a buck to five. Our waiter, Jay, was so nice, friendly and warm. The service was great. There were four of us and we all enjoyed our appetizers and dinner. The food was delicious. We eat Thai food a lot and we can say the food was comparable to some of the Thai food we eat in NY. I'm also a vegetarian who doesn't eat fish sauce. For folks like me, please note that they don't use fish sauce but provide it on the side so vegetarians and vegans have more options than in many Thai restaurants. When I called to inform and complain she was rude and deplorable. She said that she took the order just as I asked. The Crab and Shrimp Curry wasn't really a thick creamy sauce which made it easy to peel and suck the crab out and get minimally messy. It was a cross between a good red curry and the San Pedro Seafood Platter style shrimp. Yummm. The Panang wasn't thick and creamy either. It was very soupy which allows you to enjoy the salmon and really taste the herbs and panang flavor. It's more like Northern Thai to me. Yessss! Sooo goood! Once a Thai restaurant leaves all sweet rather than savory on my taste buds- I'm out! We have found some new favorites. We also ordered our usual - Pad Se Ew, which was nice , flavorful and soft rather than dried out and really dark, Tom Yum soup with loads of mushrooms and that's what we like! It was more savory and sour than sweet- it was perfect! Another new item we tried which I'm wondering - was I blind all those other times we ordered and was missing out? We added the BBQ Beef with lime chili dipping sauce. It was grilled and not over cooked with the best aromatics and smokey juiciness. That dipping sauce was a delicious Nuoc Mam Cham style. I always ask what the wait staff would recommend before ordering a regular stand by dish. I felt like a fresh and spicy, mint and chili dish, but I wanted the fat pad see ew noodles, enter into my life Pad Ka Mow with chicken and shrimp at the suggestion of our server. Love it and order it almost all the time. It consistently tastes the same every time I go. Sometimes I get their fried papaya "salad". The salad part is misleading because I think the greens are just for decoration, and maybe I order it because I think I'm ordering something healthy but honestly, I'm not. Alone as a meal for $12 it was not enough for the person who ordered it. My dish had a ratio of 90% noodle and oil, and maybe 10% veggie and pre-fried package tofu. My dish was the only one that requested spicy, but the crispy pork ended up being spicy as well. Delivery was great! Came earlier than expected. The driver was rude shoved my food at me and got in his car and sped off. I have no idea why he was in a rush but maybe he was having a bad day. Then I got the food. Papaya Salad and two orders of Fresh Spring Rolls. Our first time here. Quite disappointing in both orders. First, it's still take out only, no problem we went to a park and ate outside at a picnic table. However, only iceberg lettuce used, a few shavings of carrots and cucumbers and a slab of tofu. Bland and uninspired. This is probably my 30th edition of this dish, as well as the Papaya salad, which, is usually a no fail. Both are tied for last place. Totally eatable, the sauces tasty but just iceberg lettuce is disappointing, especially at the price charged. No cabbage, no real green salad chosen, just boring iceberg.
