I've been eating here for years, it's the best Thai food this side of downtown(my strong opinion of course...) It may not be the cheapest option but they quality is superb which makes it worth the few extra bucks. Their menu is large with so many different options. I always go for Panang curry but I love all the curries they offer- they even have Mango curry! You can order a level of heat per dish on a scale of 1-5 and 5 is definitely spicy (beware!), so if you love that Thai heat you can certainly find it at Thai Hut! We order Pineapple Fried Rice instead of jasmine and it's SO good! Comes with shrimp and chicken. Employees are very friendly and treat you like family. "See you tomorrow"! My fiancée found this place a few years back and its become our favorite Thai spot! Our usual go-to, can't go wrong, are the Pad Thai and Yellow Curry. What do I say? This place is awesome. I love their food and have tried many dishes over the years. I literally crave this place sometimes and need to just go. While i feel you can't go wrong my go to dish is the Spicy Green Beans with Chicken and some sticky rice while my wife gets the Ginger Chicken. We stop by on our way back from Folsom outlet and figure let's grab lunch real quick before heading home. We looked up a couple of places and decide to settle for thai hut. We are a sucker for authentic Thai food and is a lover of boat noodle. Unfortunately everything we order was not to our taste. The chicken satay were dry and overprice. The boat noodle we had taste like the instant pho you buy in the box. It taste nothing like boat noodle. They put so much celery in there that that was all you taste. The beef laab was a disappointment too. It was your regular ground beef that was stir fry and was season with fish sauce, lime and dried pepper. Our total came out to $66. Didn't feel like cooking... So I went to Thai Hut for my evening meal. I have eaten here before and have never been disappointed. The service and meals have always been spot on. I got the pad Thai and my wife got the pad see-ew they were both very flavourful, hot, ready to eat and delicious. The only oops in this case was the chicken was just a little dry therefore the four star rating...other than that Thai Hut has always been exemplary in their customer service and meals. I have eaten at other Thai restaurants and sometimes the food flavour just wasn't to my liking but Thai Hut has always been a meal that has wanted to make me come back. I liked the flavor but it was way too sweet for my liking. I would have liked it a lot more if it was not that sweet. I have definately had better...My daughter liked hers. I ordered the chicken pad thai...10.95 since it was Saturday.. You must order from the more expensive dinner menu. The flavor was so good. I squeezed a lime on it and mixed all together. I truly enjoyed this dish. My daughter had the seafood pad thai...17.95. They only gave 1 scallop...2 cooked clam...3 shrimp...and 2 battered calamari. She said it was worth the extra money...she really loved the flavor. The noodles perfect. The portions were very large...enough we both had to take over half home. The total bill for 2 tea...and 2 pad thai...45 bucks I would recommend this place...because the food is very delicious..I just won't order the tea again. read more

Their "Thai Pot Stickers" are actually Ling Ling brand frozen pot stickers from Costco. That's right. $9 for soggy, oily frozen appetizers from Costco. They didn't even taste like they were freshly made. In addition, their food quality, portions and ingredients may vary depending on the day. For example, sometimes there is no pineapple in #35 "Sweet & Sour (Pad-Priew-Warn)" unless you ask for it (even though it's in the menu description). With all that said, the food is actually great on a good day. At least the good thing about living in Sacramento is that you can find a Thai restaurant in just about every town/city in the county. However, some are better than others and many of us decide on sticking to places we know and trust. And the place I am reviewing is closest to my home and none other than "Thai Hut". Conveniently located in the Foothill Farms/Carmichael area of Sacramento, "Thai Hut" has been a long-standing restaurant for many, many years. It is located in a strip-mall directly on Madison Ave. and Manzanita Ave. While many people may just pass this place by, its always been a favorite with locals and regulars. I came here on a Monday evening with my fiancée and our friend. Parking is fairly easy to find as this shopping center is quite spacious with the amount of businesses surrounding it. Once entering the building, you will see quite an abundance of Thai-inspired decors throughout the establishment. On the night we went, the entire restaurant was literally filled to capacity; which is a good thing considering how picky I am when it comes to eating ethnic food. Luckily, we were greeted and seated right away. As I am very familiar with a variety of Thai dishes, I stuck to a regular dish that I eat frequently, the "Pad-See-Ew" (for $10.95) which is essentially big rice noodles. I decided on beef as my protein of choice. My fiancée ordered their "Pad-Kee-Mow" (for $9.95) which are spicy noodles. She went with chicken as her meat to complete her dish. And I decided on going with their "Thai Iced Tea"; the price was a little steep (at $3.65) but its a staple item I order at Thai restaurants. One thing about "Thai Hut" is that they are quick! All three of us got our food out within 5 minutes! The only thing that worries me of food being expedited that rapidly from the kitchen to the plate to the table is if they heated anything up. Fortunately, this tasted as if it came straight off the wok as the meat, produce, and noodles were fresh and flavorful. Which takes me to the only gripe about this place. As much as I enjoyed eating this dish, it was slightly lacking some of that authentic Thai flavors that I have been accustomed to; most notably at "Bangkok Garden" (in Natomas) and "Chada Thai" (on Broadway in Sacramento). However, the portions were equally the same from what I've experienced at the other two restaurants. With that said and done, I will still continue to dine here simply because its a quick, easy drive from my home. And the service, quality, and food is definitely a solid 4-stars! read more

So I work across the street from this restaurant & it took me almost a year before I tried it. Now I swear by it! This is my favorite place in Sacramento, their red curry is absolutely AMAZING! Huge portions, I get a dinner size for lunch & I'm good for lunch & dinner. There is absolutely nothing I would change about this place! Came here on a Friday early evening with my mom around 4:30 pm for our first time. We were seated right away and served water. The water was infused with what tasted like cucumber it was very surprising and refreshing! I ordered the Thai Iced Coffee which was served in a huge mug and wasn't overly filled with ice which I throughly appreciated! Not to mention it was DELICIOUS!!! My mom ordered the Thai Iced Tea and it was served in the same big mug as well and just as delicious not too sweet which was also appreciated. It was so tough to narrow down on food because they seriously have too much good stuff listed on the menu! We ordered the chicken in coconut milk soup which is my favorite dish at other Thai places. This one however had a completely different taste to it than what I was used to. Intrigued by all of the different flavors and vegetables kept me happily eating it until I was completely stuffed. I ordered a side of sticky rice and I loved the container it came in!!!! Really neat and it kept my rice nice and warm, super nice touch! My mom ventured outside of her normal Pad Thai and ordered the chicken spicy noodles (at level two spicy) and they were the perfect spice for her! She loved it. We also ordered a pineapple fried rice to share and try. It did not disappoint! The savory flavor in the rice with the sweetness of the pineapple chunks with the large prawns and moist chicken was pure delight! The portions sizes and flavor are extremely generous which is a major reason we will be back to Thai Hut to try some other dishes. The ambiance I loved it! The main counter is decorated like a hut and I just loved the vibe. The staff was super attentive and kind, never were our water glasses not filled-we were very well taken care of. I also loved how hidden this place was. I've driven past this area a bunch of times and never knew this tasty gem was here. A true hidden gem and our new secret favorite Thai spot. Just picked up delicious takeout for dinner: mango curry and eggplant, with fresh spring rolls and brown rice. Here is what I noticed: The food was ready when promised, hot, delicious, well-packed and delicious. Each dish was tasty and made me want to eat more than I should. The order for two was ample for a family meal. I hate when restaurants skimp on the rice, but Thai Hut doesn't and served enough brown rice to feed a family of four. The polite and friendly staff were all masked up (COVID-19 aware -- thank you!) and the diners venturing out for dine-in all seemed happy to be there. A very positive experience. We ordered mango fried rice (the tang of the mango was so much more original than normal pineapple), chicken pan thai (lots of bean sprouts and chopped peanuts, and it came with a delightful container of quick pickle), yellow curry (a perfect blend of sweet and spicy), beef with peanut sauce - pra ram? (This was a huge hit with my family), and the egg rolls, which were light and crispy with yummy dipping sauce. It all cane to $63, but we have enough for a second meal for lunch. A vendor recommended this restraunt to us and basically said everything she cooks is good. Thai Hut did not disappoint at my husband's and I first visit today. My husband does not eat Thai food so he ordered what sounded familiar their Thai honey "ribs" and fried rice. I ordered the spicy Thai noodle with fried chicken. Everything was light, delicious, and my husband said he really enjoyed the different flavors he isn't use to. Not salty or overly flavored but a nice welcoming balance. The family that owns this place are nothing but hard workers and they know how to cook Thai food very well! I love the cashew chicken. The sweet potato's with the sauce are so delicious! I recommend this place! The food can have a slight spiciness to it even with very little spice to it.
