Delicious green curry and pad ke mao
Halin S.

Yum. Thanks for the fresh food quick service. And politeness! Will return for more curry

Pad Eggplant with Beef. My favorite when I'm not in the Pad Thai or Curry mood. You'll thank me later

I've been coming to Thai Hut for many years. In the Citrus Heights area they have a cult following. My go to here has been the Chicken Pad Thai, Chicken Green Curry, Pad Eggplant with Beef. You really can't go wrong with any dish here.

Chicken Thai fried rice spice level 1 with no green onions :)

Rediscovered this place after not coming to Sac for a few years and it's delicious! Super easy to order over the phone and service is great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's always clean and busy but the wait times they suggest are totally accurate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's quiet and small with a variety of table sizes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely a hidden gem!

Amazing food and the family owners are so kind. The only thing is their food is SPICY. Even when you say no spice it'll be spicy kind of spicy . Pad Thai was amazing and the chicken was good (usually very dry at other places) and the vegetable stir fry had a nice taste and flavor. ** take out order review, but we have eaten at the restaurant multiple times. Sometimes the food takes a while to come out but it's a nice little restaurant

I had the som-tum, pad thai, and mango sticky rice. The pad thai was great and I'd recommend it. The som-tum and mango sticky rice could have been better. The prices are really good and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant has a quiet atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The employees are also very kind. I appreciated that they were considerate about what time to bring out the dessert(mango sticky rice).

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean dining room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cool staff. A little pricey compared to other eateries in the same plaza but on par for Thai food. $40 for spicy chicken wings(6), fried shrimp rolls(5) and small iced coffee. Shrimp rolls were very delicious! Wings were just. Ok Everything was freshly made. I put the wings in the air fryer at home to crisp them up a little more. But thats a preference.

Lunch portion Green curry with rice.

I got the level 4 green curry lunch size. The size for lunch is really small from what I remember. Not even full all the way I asked the older guy he was taking my payment he was low key rude saying this is lunch size I asked if I can get dinner size for lunch he was like ya maybe next time right now you order this LOLZ. So the food is worth it the guy who handed me my food maybe the son was nice. Grandpa could learn some customer service. The food is 5/5 my favorite green curry in Sacramento. Green curry comes with egg plant green beans basil bamboo. Definitely try this place.

They definitely make their food with love. Didn't actually ask if they do but after eating here a few times I'm confident.

We decided to get the pad thai, pork belly pad kraw prow, pork ribs appetizer, and gai satay. They first brought out the gai satay and it was delicious. The peanut sauce that went with the dish was super yummy. Then the pork ribs came out. There were only 4 ribs and a small side of salad . I personally thought it was pretty expensive for just four pork ribs, but the ribs were extremely flavorful. I would say probably the best thing we had even though every thing was delicious. Thai time Owner and…read moreRecipe Wizard Thammasorn Lau has created something that feels less like a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone's home -- assuming that someone's home happens to have amazing Thai chefs, incredible spices, and food that makes you immediately start planning your next visit before you're even done eating. We did our best "research project" and ordered everything our table could justify: Thai iced coffee, coconut canopy salad, pad see ew and pad Thai with pork belly, sunset curry with tilapia, and mango sticky rice with ice cream. For science, obviously. Thai Time should put a warning label on their Thai iced coffee. One sip through each layer and the conversation stopped. We woke up. The taste buds clocked in for work. The brain sent out the announcement: "Cancel all distractions -- apparently dinner has plans for us." Good thing we listened. Thammasorn then proceeded to take us on a full Thai flavor adventure. This wasn't just dinner. This was a carefully organized attack on our ability to say, "No thanks, I'm full." The coconut canopy salad started fresh and bright, the noodles brought the comfort, the pork belly brought the celebration, the sunset curry with tilapia brought the "wait, everyone try this" moment. And the mango sticky rice with ice cream showed up at the end like a victory parade. I always read the bad reviews because I'm fascinated by the rare human ability to find sadness while surrounded by curry, noodles, and people being nice to you. They are to be safely ignored. Our experience? Five stars out of 10. Beautiful flavors, warm service, and that special energy you only get when the people behind a place actually care. Thank you, Thammasorn and Thai Time. Sacramento is lucky to have you.

I'm not sure if management or chef has changed but their food is not what I remembered from years ago. We initially ordered their tofu pad thai and gai yang and immediately noticed how pricey their menu was. They have a wall of specials and I remember being shocked that their orange chicken was $24. I didn't mind paying more than what I was used to for my pad thai because I remembered their food was delicious but I was shocked when my pad thai came out. It was literally drowned in sauce and looked like it was a bowl of noodle soup. I was still optimistic hoping that it tasted better than it looked but it just tasted like sweet rice noodle soup. I was hesitant to bring it up to the waitress after two bites but so glad I did because I would have hated myself if I left without saying anything. The waitress was kind and offered to remake the dish. Instead, I opted for something else because I was afraid to be disappointed again. I ordered their tofu drunken noodles since I've gotten it here before and remember it being tasty. I confirmed that the drunken noodle was going to be a dry noodle dish and thankfully it was. It was good but not the best I've ever had. My boyfriend had their gai yang which is a marinated grilled chicken dish. He said it was pretty dry without the sauce on the side but the sweet chili sauce provided was pretty tasty. It's probably not worth $26 given the how dry the chicken was and he said he would never order it again. Overall, the customer service was great and portions were good. I had to deduct 3 stars from my previous review as the food quality has significantly gone down in my experience and doesn't justify the high menu prices in my opinion.

It was quite dry and had a distinctly burnt flavor the first time it came out, it tasted like ash in my mouth. The chicken was rather burnt. I wish I took pictures of the interior, as it felt so intimate and the seats were comfortable. The food of course, are the stars of the show, and I've never been blown away from how good everything was. The Pad See Ew had a yummy smoky, wok hei flavor that not a lot of places incorporate. The ribeye is cooked perfectly, green curry has a nice coconut sweetness to it. And the laotian sausage, paired with their sauce and sticky rice hits the spot. This place was indeed comforting and my only regret is not trying more items. If you're craving southeast asian cuisine in an intimate atmosphere, I can't recommend this place enough.

The location was a bit odd, as there were barely any other businesses nearby. There is street parking that you can pay for. It's a fairly small restaurant. We were were seated pretty quickly. Service was very friendly. I would say that portions were pretty reasonable. Things we ordered: -Pineapple fried rice: Very fragrant with the char and flavorful. Seasoned very well. We opted for mild spice on this. I would order this again. -Chicken pad thai: Done very well! Some places the pad thai is too sweet, but this one was very balanced and had a good tamarind flavor. Medium spicy was a bit on the spicy side, but perfect for me! Would order this again. -Duck larb: Unique, but I couldn't tell it was duck. My partner enjoyed this more than I did. The portion for the larb was on the smaller side and it came with some lettuce, radish, carrots, cucumbers. -Mee kati ground pork: A very unique dish that not many Thai restaurants seem to have, in which it came with noodles, and a variety of toppings like beans sprouts, lettuce, green beans, peanuts, and cilantro. It came with a fermented curry gravy, and it delicious! I would totally order this again. -Green Thai tea: Quite fragrant and not too full on half and half like some other places have it. It's also not as sweet as another local Thai restaurant. I would actually order this again. -Classic Thai tea: Strong Thai tea flavor, also not too sweet. Overall, Hiso was a great Thai/Lao restaurant and I would totally come back and recommend this place!

The food was a mix of highs and misses. When they got it right, it really worked. When they didn't, it felt flat. The mango curry carried the meal. The green curry dragged it down. Everything else sat somewhere in the middle Parking? Lot We had: Chicken Satay (4/5): Flavor wise, this was locked in. One of the better peanut sauces I've had. Nutty, slightly sweet, with enough depth to keep it interesting. The problem was execution. It came out lukewarm, which dulled the whole experience and made it feel less fresh than it should have. Also could've used more sauce. Still good, just not quite dialed Green Curry (2.5/5): This one just didn't show up. The flavors felt muted and never really came together. The vegetable mix was fine, but it needed more eggplant to give it some body and identity. The chicken was forgettable. Nothing offensive, just flat. Easy pass Mango Curry (4.5/5): This is where things turned around. Bright, layered, and actually interesting. Real mango brought a natural sweetness that worked instead of overwhelming, and the sauce had depth. It felt composed. The vegetables could've been more evenly distributed and the chicken was just okay, but overall this was the standout and absolutely worth ordering again
