Very disappointed . I won't come back , too bad because the menu looks yummy . Ordered the large thom kha soup for 15.95 and the container wasn't even filled all the way ..3/4 full. I asked for a little extra broth and they wanted 6 more $. I told them it was my first time and you would think they would want their customers happy and to come back .. every single Thai food place I have been to and order this , it's all the way to the tip . I really feel ripped off. Come on .. if they do that with soup ? My guess is they are really cheap On proportions and now I question the quality of their products. We were in town and decided to try this place for dinner.  The service was great, the food was delicious, the portions were generous and the prices were reasonable.  The place was nice and the parking was plentiful. We tried the mango fried rice, the avocado green curry, and the pad see ew.  The mango fried rice had a lot of chicken and shrimp in it.  The avocado green curry had nice chunks of avocado in it and had a little kick to it.  The pad see ew was yummy.  If you have a chance, give this place a try. read more

I've been going to Thai Hut for over 10 years, and introducing everyone I can to it. I love Thai food and have tried 10+ Thai places in Sacramento. This is still my absolute favorite. It's a cute, calm, quiet place with relaxing music, minty water, and delicious food. The staff is always friendly as well. I love that the employees recognize me and my family. I highly recommend the Thai Chow Mein and Pumpkin Curry - so damn good, but my new favorite is the Mango Curry. The Mangos are so juicy and fresh and the broth is savory and flavorful. I always get just vegetables with no meat and it's always super satisfying. There are a lot of items on the menu I haven't tried but a few other recommendations are the Thai Egg Rolls and Pad See Ew. So the good thing is if their portions are huge!! I asked for my food spicy and to me it wasn't spicy at all which was fine because I could just add spice to it! I'm not gonna lie the food was pretty good I was just a little under impressed with how long it took to get it we were the only customers in the building and it took almost 45 minutes for us to get our food. I can understand that they had called in orders as well but it just seemed like it took an overwhelming amount of time just to get our food. I would probably go again but I think I would call in advance to get my food and then show up also the customer service wasn't that great it just seem like we were bothering the guy and for me customer service is a huge part of going out to dine. read more

First time visit: moved into the area and was looking for Thai food that has gluten free options. To be fair, most Thai food restaurants have naturally plenty of gluten free options. They just don't know they do, and don't prepare the food to ensure it's safe and not cross-contaminated. At Thai Hut, almost everything is naturally gluten free, they know it, and ensure it's prepared safely. Not only that, but daaaaaaaannnnnng the food is fantastic. Best chicken satay I've ever had, hands down. Tenderized, marinated, and charred to perfection. Also got to choose the level of heat I wanted for my drunken noodles, something I have great appreciation for. Hubby doesn't have to eat gluten free (lucky him) and he savored his saucy curry. I kept stealing food off of his plate, because I clearly have manners. We both took extras home, and both agree we will be returning, at least for take out. my FAVORITE place in Sacramento area to get BEEF pad thai. I live in Folsom and I would drive 20+ min just to get their pad Thai. The taste is just perfect compared to the other Thai places in or around Folsom area. Their mango sticky rice isn't so bad too. read more

Thai Hut is a nice surprise off the main road of madison. I didn't get a chance to eat inside due to covid but they are open for take out. I called ahead and food was ready about 20-25mins after the call in. I ordered the pad thai, green curry, and papaya salad. All foods were a level 3 in terms of spice level. Portion size was great. We were able to feel almost 5 people on just these three. Reminder**curry did not come with any rice. It has to be ordered separately. Level 3 spice level was pretty solid spicy.. especially in the papaya salad. Spice level varies from 1 to 5 soo 5 must be fire. Tummies beware! Overall the food was delicious. Flavored well with the right amount of spiciness. Portion size was good. Two things that I could have added. Maybe automatically adding rice to to go orders because we didn't know until we got there. Also perhaps making the curry a little bit thicker. They also have seasonal items like pumpkin curry! read more

Thai Hut deserves an updated review from me because over the years they have definitely improved, and I've become a regular as a result. For a meat-serving restaurant, this has to be one of the most veg friendly Thai spots in Sacramento. Definitely in this part of suburbia. It's even posted on their exterior. Although there aren't clear vegan labels, the menu is designed to accommodate any dietary need. I've brought gluten intolerant friends here that had no problem whatsoever. The service has really improved as well. I still stand by my previous opinion that I'm not a fan of their noodle dishes. But the curry? Oh yeah, that's the specialty here. Absolutely love this place. Haven't yet had something here I haven't thoroughly enjoyed! I usually get yellow chicken curry and my wife gets Pad Thai. Both are phenomenal. We also like to start things off with the Golden fried sweet potato appetizer. It's wonderful. There is no difference in quality between dining in or taking out, you'll get good food both ways. However, the service is always great so if you have time, I would recommend eating in. The owner is always super nice too. Best Thai food in town. See you tomorrow! read more

Been here a few times for lunch. Plenty of parking in the little shopping center it is located in. They have a great lunch special selection but you can order from the dinner menu any time. The portions are just right. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the few times I have been there it is always a steady stream of people. In my opinion this was a once delicious restaurant but now it's nothing better than a third rate strip mall dive. The owners truly could care less if you dine in their restaurant! No! I wont be back tomorrow! The place would be barely acceptable if it were not for the tall waiter who seems like he could care less about providing a great experience for his dinner guests. The guy truly is rude and has no business being a waiter. As for the food it's marginally acceptable, basic Thai food you can get in your grocery store freezer! My recommendation is to skip this place and go straight over to Taking Takieng Thai in Fair Oaks. They have excellent service and they are grateful that you are there and provide excellent food!
