My mom and I ordered the seafood combination soup and pad Thai. The soup was delicious but didn't have a lot of fish specifically. The lady offered two steamed rices for the soup but turns out we only needed one. She probably thought two because my mom and I ate in the chunky side. The pad Thai had a delicious flavor but it was a little chewy, not enough to complain about though. So we ate and it was good for the most part. The waiters and waitresses don't really wait ur tables tho they take ur order and bring ur food. That's it. So I'm guessing u don't really need to leave a tip? read more

I ate here for the first time several years ago. When I first met my wife, she insisted that we go to this nice Thai place she liked to frequent. Being that I enjoy Thai food and her company, I agreed to go. I don't really like the typical Pad Thai that everyone thinks is great. If you want to try something delicious, order their Chicken Pad See Yew. They use flat noodles, broccoli, and chicken in a delectable sauce. Trust me and try it. Another item on their menu I highly recommend are the beef skewers. Served with a peanut sauce and a nice rub on the beef, it is a tasty dish. I love this place. It always hits the spot! THE FOOD: I usually order the calamari, pad see ew, pad thai, panang curry, and the beef bbq dinner plate. The pad see ew is absolutely tasty! It's sweet, the perfect level of spiciness (I order it spicy, and recommend it!), and very filling. The portions are really big. I usually have to share with at least 2 other people. They don't skimp on the beef/chicken/shrimp! The broccoli is perfectly cooked. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The pad thai is also another must have. Flavorful, but not over the top. (I prefer the pad see ew, but that's my personal preference. I just like the noodles and flavor better. I wouldn't turn down the pad thai, though.) OOOH MY. The panang curry. First off, I don't really like curry. I'm not a big fan, so when my boyfriend ordered it. I was a bit skeptical about trying it. It says on the menu it's supposed to be spicy, so that won points for me. I love spicy food. When I tried it, I was shocked at how much I liked it. It was sweet, melt in your mouth beef. It had a hint of heat, but not enough to make your eyes water or your tongue tingle. It comes in a bowl, in which might look small, but it isn't. My boyfriend and I couldn't finish it. The perfect way to eat this is drenching a plate of rice with the sauce, and shredding the beef over it. Mmmmm! If you're feeling a little adventurous, try the panang curry! BBQ Beef.. I don't usually get this, because it's too much food for me. My boyfriend usually gets this, and loves it. They give about 5 or 6 (I don't remember the exact amount) sticks of beef bbq, with a whole lotta rice, a cucumber salad, and a peanut sauce. The bbq is always juicy, tender, and perfectly cooked. The peanut sauce makes it even more yummy. Oh! The calamari! It isn't chewy, it's tender and melts in your mouth. The sweet sauce that comes with it is delicious. I would eat the entire basket, but my thighs would not agree with me. THE PRICE: Most plates here are 6-8 dollars if you're not ordering from the dinner or a la carte menu. If you are, it's more than 10 dollars. Probably around 14. It is pricier than other thai bbq places, but it's worth it, in my opinion. THE SERVICE: Okay. The reason why I don't give them 5 stars is for the service. The waitresses are really dry, they aren't friendly. It seems like they don't laugh. This is them *__* all the time. Also, if it is a bit busy, you have to ask the server more than once for what you're asking. If you do, they get a bit irritated. That's the only drawback of this restaurant, though. Big fan of Original Thai BBQ's! I'd rather make the 30 minute drive to Original Thai BBQ than to eat at a mediocre Thai restaurant near by (i.e., George's). I always order the bbq ribs, beef satay, drunken noodles, combination fried rice, and of course a Thai tea. Never disappointed! read more

Came here on Sunday at 1pm. The place was packed. Seating is pretty tight, and the service is attentive. I ordered three things: Drunken noodles w/ beef: pretty good but salty. Beef was tough. Pad thai w/ shrimp: salty and I've had better S-1 bbq chicken special. Pretty good but I prefer my chicken to be less burnt. Included shrimp fried rice was not salty. read more

One of my favorite thai restaurants in the area. I love love love their house special S-1. Its their chicken bbq plate, the chicken just melts in your mouth. Im assuming from a pressure cooker. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Cerritos are. Favorites here are: the garlic chicken, basil chicken, and basil beef--both basil dishes are spicy, and depending on snob makes it can be really spicy at times. Beef fried rice is really good too. I love the Thai tea here and their boba is excellent here too. I swear I've been to so many boba places and this place makes the best Thai tea I've ever had. It's not sickeningly sweet. I heard good things about this. Restaurant, it was busy, i ordered the shrimp pad thai noodles, the entire plate stunk of fish, not grilled shrimp which i love, like stinky. Fish they probably fried in the pan prior to my order. Since it was busy, they may of been rushed to get our order out, service was quick. This is our go to place when we crave Thai food. The food is absolutely delicious. You can have someone hold a menu for you, close your eyes, and point at any item and it is guaranteed to be good. You've got to try this place out. I've been a fan of this franchise since the late 1980's in Los Angeles on Kingsley Ave, then found one in Universal City. My favorites are the Pad Thai, Beef Satay, Thai Bbq chicken and the Pork Spare Ribs, the Beef Satay are now half the size than from earlier times. I don't mind spending $80 to feed the family on special occasions. The best thai food in California is Thai Original BBQ in Cerritos, LBC, Fountain Valley or Studio City. All the brothers go there for the Pork Spare Ribs, the meat is so tender yet caramelized to perfection. read more

Terrible Service: All of the ladies were just hanging out in the back talking. I was approaced three times during the entire visit. First - To take my order. Second - To drop off the food. The place is a little hidden and kind of small inside but was able to accommodate my party of 12. I ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken and must say it was as good or better than other Thai restaurants I've been to. I'd say the Pad See Ew is slightly better compared to a more popular Thai restaurant like Banana Bay in Rowland Heights. I also tried the Garlic Spare Rib and BBQ chicken and they were both very good. They were very flavorful and meat was juicy and tender. Don't know if I'd come back because its a little far from me but if I did I'd definitely order one of the three items I spoke about. read more
