The large is like a medium bowl from Cuu Long so to me it wasn't much food. The meets were cut into small pieces not much larger than a half dollar. Little skimpy on the basil and bean sprouts also. Finally got the chance to have lunch at Thai Pho Ewa with the hubby. I was starving since we both didn't have breakfast so I was ready to over eat lol.... We ordered the spring rolls/fried chicken/Nam kao(similar to a lettuce wrap with crispy fried rice and cured pork sausage+herbs) and my main dish the spicy noodles. To be fair my Hubby ordered the appetizers as he is not as adventurous when it comes to certain food. He said the fried chicken+egg rolls was good. The Nam kao I ordered was packed with flavors, although I prefer the crispy rice to be less crispy, but overall was good and refreshing with the lettuce and cabbage to eat in a wrap. The main dish I came for was the spicy noodle. I alway alway taste the broth before I add any other condiments and let me tell you no seasoning needed it was perfect! I highly recommend with any broth dishes to taste first before you reach for the condiments. The spice level is perfect I just took a chomp out of the jalepeno peppers that come with the side garnish if I needed more of a kick. Definitely will come back for this specific dish! Curry was watery and the chicken was very dry, like dry to the point you can feel it sticking to your teeth as you chew. Fast, friendly service and price was good. We normally order from Supa Thai but didn't feel like driving there and Thai Pho Ewa is very close. I think we'll make the effort from now on. We like Supa Thai so much more. read more

My partner and I were suggested to eat here by a friend and try their mango salad and wow it was delicious! I absolutely love the ambiance of this restaurant! We were greeted warmly as we entered and after we had our main meal (mango salad, pad Thai, Panang curry) we asked for a dessert recommendation and so she recommended their Thai tea panna cotta and it was so creamy and flavorful. Located in the Ewa Laulani Shopping Center next to Buffalo Wild Wings. Super spacious and nice interior. Parking is a little limited depending on the time you go. They do share a lot with lots of other businesses. I've done a few takeout orders here and I definitely recommend calling it in. Our go to when eating Thai food is evil jungle curry,sticky rice and summer rolls. Their Evil Jungle curry wasn't like the traditional evil curry I'm use to (we love Thai Laos the most). Its a lot more watery and they add peppers in theirs over basil. My husband wasn't happy since he hates bell peppers. I also tried their drunken noodles with shrimp which was tasty but also wasn't as good as Thai Laos. The best thing I had was probably their Rare beef and brisket Pho along with their thai iced tea. I have yet to dine inside but it gets pretty busy during dinner time. The second time phone ordering here, my husband had to wait for a whole new order to be made because door dash took our bag. Finally, another Vietnamese joint opened up deep in Ewa Beach, and I'm glad they did! I made a phone order for the Combination Pho and Summer Rolls. FYI, when you are ordering pho to go, it is only one size, which is a large. Which I was fine with. I'm not gonna lie, it was a little bit difficult to find them since they don't have a big sign, but they are located right across Buffalo Wild Wings, and they have a banner for their sign. Three of us ate here. Restaurant was a very nice lay out, plenty of room. We ordered summer rolls for an appetizer. I had Chicken Salad, my wife had soup, and my mother-in-law had pho. Tom Yum Gong soup was delicious, pho very tasty, and my chicken salad was terrific. The service, however, was not good. We usually mix our sauces before we eat and asked the server for the small bowls and she was clearly irritated. When she brought out the vegetables for the pho, we understood, because the bowl was upside down on top of the vegetables and clearly that was they way the did things. Then she said, oh, did you want extra, and brought out one more bowl. Very uncomfortable. I tried to smooth out by being kind to her but it was useless. There were only two other tables occupied, so I don't know why she had such an attitude, we were very nice. I should've realized by the name that this was a Thai restaurant, more than a vietnamese restaurant. We arrived at 6:30 on a Tuesday evening. We were the only ones at that time, and the restaurant started to fill by 7pm. They were also busy with take out orders. Location: This is in the Launani Shopping Center in Ewa Beach next to Buffalo Wings. Sadly, this particular spot has gone through at least 3 restaurants already, and none succeeded - not even the better ones. Parking: Parking was plentiful when we arrived. I imagine it would be at any other time. It's located in a big strip mall. What to Expect: There are more than 10 tables. We dined on. Not sure if there is outside seating too. Atmosphere: Nice, clean. Service: There was one waiter when we arrived. He was also busy taking phone orders. He was attentive until it started getting busy with the tables filling up. Later someone came to assist. Food or Product: We came to eat traditional Pho. The pho here had the flavor of Vietnamese beef stew. There was a sweetness to it, and there was chopped garlic floating at the top. The broth was also quite dark Never saw this in pho before. The quantity of noodles was good. The meat was just ok. They gave very little greens (basil) for two people. I asked the waiter for more. He said they would normally charge but he will give us some and not charge us. He returned with 2 sprigs of a different kind of greens (mint). I told him that's not the same vegetable as what we had. He said then he would have to charge us if he gave us what we wanted. Lol. Too funny. We also ordered the appetizer fried chicken marinated in lemon grass. It was more batter than chicken, and the chicken was thin and hard. I was going to order dessert but so far the entire meal was a disappointment so passed on taking a chance with dessert. Price: The price was competitive with other pho bowls you'd find on this side of the island. Our tab was around $49 for two bowls of pho, an appetizer and a side of rice. Will I be returning? No. Definitely not. We're always looking for a good pho place on this side of the island. This is not on our list and we will not return. Our favorite pho restaurant is in Chinatown. This is located in Ewa Beach across from the Safeway next to the Buffalo Wild Wings...came on Saturday night and it's sad around 7ish....it wasn't crowded and we were seated right way...nice place, the ambiance was great and the lady who I assume is the owner was very pleasant and welcoming. I mean I guess since they have Thai and Vietnamese it would be considered a fusion place...we had the spring rolls and chicken satay...to start...the spring rolls were good and crunchy...the flavor was good but I did have to ask for more lettuce, lol...the satay didn't come on a skewers it was already cut...the peanut sauce was really good. For dinner I had the cold rice noodles with pork...it didn't come with spring rolls like most places serve it with...but it was good. We ordered spring rolls, chicken pad Thai, and Ka Paw Chicken w/ rice & fried egg, which all strangely came out less than 10 minutes. The spring rolls were okay, pad Thai was incredibly bland with too much sweetness, not enough sauce on the noodles, and it wasn't even hot when it came out. Ka Paw Chicken could have been better, but unfortunately it tasted old and had a strange after taste. I have a feeling the freshest item on that dish was the fried egg. Absolutely killed the Asian fusion dishes. The coffee thai boba was to die for. Not too sweet and had a bold coffee flavor with the boba being fresh with a light chewiness. Spring rolls were fresh and the sauce was a great peanut to hoisin ratio. As my friends ordered various dishes, we were able to try multiple entrees and man we were not disappointed. We devoured everything before I could even take a picture. My crispy egg rolls and chicken were perfect on top of the vermicelli and veggies. The pad thai and fried rice were also extra yummy dishes. Went to check out this new Pho place 5 min away from our house. Can I say, WOW, I was impressed. We went around dinner time and surprisingly, it was not crowded! There was no wait to be seated. I should note that the hostess that welcomed us in was also THE ONLY waitress that was responsible for the entire restaurant that night. She also mentioned that there was also only one cook in the back. Shockingly enough, we didn't wait too long to get our food. We went with our family (4 adults 2 children), and we all got 1 pho each. The large pho is huge, I could've settled for the medium. We ordered all different meats, and all got different meats when served our bowl. Meaning; I ordered beef ball pho, but got brisket. My husband ordered brisket pho, and got rare meat. Not complaint though, it was still bomb. We also ordered a couple of appetizers. Fried calamari 10/10. I'd go there just to order a side of that to go, lol. Summer rolls 9/10. Spring rolls 9/10. Overall it was a very good first experience. One recommendation would be to hire more people! Firstly Pho Ewa is a Vietnamese/Thai fusion restaurant. You might be feeling a bit different from the traditional Vietnamese flavor, but I'm a huge fan of their pho broth -- light and not beefy, has lots of veggie flavor, kinda reminds me of vegetarian pho. I've been trying bunch of different pho, it is soooo hard to find good one especially in Ewa.. and finally here is my favorite go to place! The other dish I love is grilled chicken vermicelli with egg rolls. Omg they cook the chicken PERFECTLY. Moist and tender, crunchy outside, and it comes with lots of veggies and pickled carrots&daikon. SO DELICIOUS. We also got to try their dessert, you definitely have to experience the combo of warm taro tapioca & creamy ice cream... Overall experience here is always awesome. I was craving Vietnamese food in Ewa Beach and there isn't much of a selection here so glad to see a new Vietnamese restaurant open up next to Hawaii Family Dental (located at the old Russo's). When we went in, no one was at the front but this was also around 7:40pm on a Tuesday night with not a lot of people inside. We rang the bell but no one came out so we just waited for a few minutes for someone to finally greet us. The ambiance was nice - the server/host told us we could sit anywhere and provided us menus and checked for our vaccine cards. We ordered a large pho and the #57 (Vermicelli with grilled pork and egg rolls). Unfortunately, they ran out of pork and substituted it with chicken. The chicken was actually really good and I don't normally eat chicken in my bún thịt nướng, but the the chicken was moist and so delicious. Also, they served the bún thịt nướng in a plate, which I thought was different compared to eating in a bowl. Nonetheless, the entire dish was great and I would definitely order it again! The pho was also good and it had a lot of meats - it had a 60/40 meat ratio to soup, which I prefer! We also ordered the egg rolls and it looked a lot bigger yet tasted the same as other Vietnamese restaurants (comparing to the Kapolei ones). Definitely a must try! The server was also very attentive and kept filling waters throughout the restaurant. The food came out timely and we also got to meet the owner of the restaurant as well. All of the workers were very friendly! FUN FACT: Owner is Thai and we could tell by the workers in the back speaking in Thai. You can also tell that the menu has some Thai dishes (sticky rice, Thai tea, etc), which I thought was different but had a good twist. THING TO NOTE: Hours say they close at 9pm but last seating is actually at 8pm for dine-in. Any orders after 8pm is considered take-out. The restaurant is fairly new so I can understand the staffing issue in the beginning but overall, the food was great and would definitely recommend for anyone craving Vietnamese food in the area! The pho was ok, sandwiches were stale old bread and meat didn't look cooked all the way through and no grill marks on a grill pork sandwich. Banana Tapioca was tasted old and texture wasn't what I experienced from other pho restaurants. Called the restaurant and explained about the sandwich and tapioca, lady said sorry can't refund because that's how they make their food. OKAY.
