Wow. Classic example of bad customer service. 3 months ago on a very rainy night I picked up my order and was assured everything was correct. I get the food home (25 minutes away) and instead of my $55 meal, it clearly was someone else's. I called and they acknowledged the mistake and asked if I wanted to come get a correct order. Since it was storming I told them it was too much distance and trouble to get back out there. The food I did get was clearly for a traditional Thai family as it was next level spicy and inedible. I made it a point to tell them that I was going out of town for a while and they made it clear that it did not matter if it was months before I could make it back and they would still honor my order. He even repeated my name and said it was in their system as a credit! Well today (3 months later) was the day and they had no acknowledgment of my situation and had the audacity to ask me if I had my receipt. This was our third outing to Thai Restaurant on Augusta and it was equally as pleasing the times before. They had a good lunch crowd, but seated us quickly. Our order was taken, eaten, and lunch was done... ...In the meantime the wait staff politely brought us what we needed even with my feeble attempt to order more hot sauce in a different language. I ordered "L-13 Pad Vegetables - with beef", it was delivered steaming and tasted great. My friend ordered L-4 Pad Khing and raved about it even though we wanted a hotter version and ordered wrong. I thought the Thai Restaurant had a 1 to 5 scale of "spiciness" but our waitress asked for our number based upon a 1 to 10 scale. My friend said he had 3 and it was "plenty spicy", so we both ordered a 3. It was not spicy enough, but they fixed it immediately by giving us four different sauces to try which made it right. This place has always been a 5 for me -- the Tom kha gai soup is the best I've ever had.... and then tonight happened. We ordered out for dinner as we have done many times before (I also frequent this spot for lunch) and always order the same thing with the same spice levels (4 & 6) which are generally fairly consistent. However lately the levels have been so far off from completely inedible spicey to no spice at all. I hope they can work on their consistency because it make it very difficult to order -- tonight we actually had to take our order back and request new soup due how insanely spicey it was! read more

This food has become awful. Pad see ewe disgusting and the waitress didn't give option on what type of veg you want. She greeted the table as we close in thirty minutes so place your order. Went back just thinking bad service. The guy had a temper tantrum on phone when i wanted to place a togo order at 2:35. He didnt ask if i wanted soup or salad, I said will have soup. He said we dont have be here in t minutes or locking the door. I got there at 2:45. He was like perfect timing. Close your doors or dont serve lunch or shut down at. This was the worst Thai food I can remember eating. I do not understand all the good reviews. The shrimp tasted raw and the lo-mein reminded of something you would get at the food court. Best Thai food I've ever had in my LIFE!!! It's freaking ridiculous how amazing the Thai food is here. We started off with the shrimp in a blanket appetizer (shrimp rolled/wrapped and fried). They come in a set of 5 and they are delicious. At the recommendation of our server, I ordered the Pad Noodke Kee Mao with shrimp (N-4) since I was undecided about which noodle dish I wanted and it was fantastic. The noodles were "fat"/wide and very tasty, plenty of onions and basil and it packed a pepper kick! Now my husband's dish took the cake. We red in someone else's review about Massamon (K-5) being so good that if no one else was in the restaurant that he would have licked the plate.... Well my husband ordered that dish and that yelper was not lying. The curry sauce in the Massamon dish was so uniquely amazing that I LITERALLY would've licked the plate (had we not been in public - and I'm not a plate licker!) I mean, I've been places where the food was "finger licking good", but "PLATE LICKING GOOD?".... Well, I hate to admit it, but the Massamon was really plate licking good. My husband and I have put this place on our "MUST DO" list of places to stop by anytime we take a road trip and are in the area. This is a place that you DEFINITELY do NOT want to miss. read more

My family comes here as a ritual now. This is by far one of our favorite restaurants in Greenville. I really appreciate how easy they make it to be vegan here. I've never had difficulties modifying a dish to make it vegan (omitting fish/oyster sauce, egg, etc). My favorites are the tofu pad thai, fried tofu, and any of the curries. The staff here is amazing and so nice, too! Everything about this place is the best. :) read more

Our favorite Thai restaurant in the Greenville area. We've enjoyed the Green Curry & Red Curry with a side of broccoli multiple times. (All three are vegan dishes.) The Thai Iced Tea is not vegan, but delicious. Would recommend. Kind of a hole in the wall spot, but worth the stop. Parking can be found in the back if not in front. read more

Yesterday was my second visit here, and I have upgraded from 3.5 stars to 5 stars. My first visit I ordered the Pad Thai and wasn't impressed. My wife and I hade about an hour to kill so we went back. She got the pad thai (again, I wasn't impressed) but I got the Chicken Massamun curry, which has been my go-to at Thai restaurants lately. Not only is this the best massamun curry I have had, but it was the best dish I have ever had at a Thai restaurant. The serving size was large, the curry was creamy and so well balanced. If I had been by myself, I would have licked the bowl clean as a whistle. I had already had a PB and honey sandwich and some chips about 20 minutes before, so I wasn't expecting to eat much of it. It was so delicious I ate the whole thing. I left looking like that pregnant giraffe that is so hot on the internet these days, and I didn't regret a single second of it. read more

Truly fantastic Thai places, with knockout entrees that change your life forever, are absolutely worthy of high prices and high praise. Trouble is, in a burgeoning little-big town like Greenville, you're just not gonna find one. BUT, praise God, there are several great little Thai shops here and there, of which this place is the best. No question about it - the selection, service, quality, portions, and FLAVOR go on for miles! We've had the very savory and spiced cashew chicken, shrimp pad thai, and panang curry for entrees and loved every single morsel we could scrape up off those plates. Nothin like an ice-cold Thai tea and an order of mango and sticky rice to cap it all off as well... The staff is very accommodating to dietary restrictions and/or food allergies, and they were more than happy to supply a little extra rice for our bag of leftovers, too. When the place gets busy, service can slow down just a bit due to understaffing, but you'll see the gals busting it to get everybody served quickly and correctly. The restaurant itself is a little unbecoming and aged in appearance, as if it was once some fizzled out neighborhood haunt back in 1985, so it certainly won't wow you with jaw-dropping esthetic appeal. I jump on a chance to go eat here. I love their red curry at an 8, and my husband loves their noodle dishes. It's a nice, quiet place that's easy to get to. Sure, the exterior is goofy, but the food definitely makes up for it. I'm not one to visit a restaurant to worry about the grass. Service is lovely and prompt, and the Thai tea is pretty tasty. I find I never leave hungry, but they don't give me too much, either - that's a great sign that they're good at managing costs and have worthy experience of running a place like this. I've been to Thailand so I'm gonna be hard on Thai Restaurants. It was OK. The Tom Kha Gai did not blow me away. The Basil rolls were OK.

The BEST Thai food in town. It is consistently amazing, the staff is friendly, and the portions and prices make sense together. I typically get two meals out of any carry out order. I love to get the Green Curry Chicken, Chicken Pad Thai, or Beef Drunken Noodles. Their basil rolls are delicious as an appetizer as well. Every dish is flavorful, and although I don't like a ton of spice level, the level 2 spicy is perfect for me. I have tried a few other Thai restaurants in town over the last two years of living here (mostly when Thai Restaurant was closed for remodeling), and there is no comparison to the quality, portions, and prices of Thai Restaurant. read more

During a recent trip to Greenville to apartment hunt, I grabbed dinner here before I left town. It was in the area where I was apartment hunting and had great reviews. This is a casual Thai food joint perfect for unpretentious nights. The atmosphere is laid back, family oriented, and very casual. There's a huge menu that will suit meat eaters and vegetarian eaters alike. Service is quick, but don't let that fool you into thinking the food is not fresh. We started with the Basil Rolls. Holy peanut sauce! It's the best I've ever had. I tried to order the papaya salad off of the menu, but they apparently no longer make that. I opted for the pineapple and cashew dish with tofu as my protein, and it was stir fried in a light brown sauce with mushrooms, celery, peppers, zucchini, green onion, carrots, and Bambu shoots. I opted for level 3 spiciness on a spice scale of 1-10 and didn't feel the heat. I'd definitely up my spice level next time, but the flavor was on point! read more
