First time here, saw decent reviews online so decide to come try it out. We had a party of 4 for lunch and the total was about $85 total with tip. This place offers a variety of food. They have 2 menus. One is Japanese food, which had a ton of choices. The other was a Thai menu. Since half our party wanted different things, I thought this would be a good place to satisfy all preferences. A few things we ordered...Satay Chicken skewers with curry sauce, Papaya salad, Salmon sushi etc. Overall, it was decent, just quite pricey for what the food is overall. Will I come back again? Ordered a yellow curry dish with an upgrade to shrimp for the protein. The girl who took my carry-out order asked how spicy I would like it. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile from owner Nat and immediately escorted to my table. Being that I had a reservation for two for Valentine's Day dinner, I was glad to be seated so promptly. I waited for my husband to come from parking and he too was shown to our table. The menu is extensive and with so many options we asked our server Pim for some recommendations. We took some of hers as well as ordered a few things that caught our attention. Starting with the Japanese side of the menu, we ordered 3 rolls, each completely different than the next. Delicious and unique and leaving us definitely wanting to try the long list of others on future visits! From the Thai side of the menu we ordered the yellow curry with chicken and two sides of rice, one white and one brown. This curry is perfection! We frequent Thai Thani and Oishi every so often and grabbed lunch there today. Got sushi rolls - Pink Lady and Mango Tango, which were both really good. Our daughter got Pad Thai which was fresh and hit the spot. They also can make the food gluten free and offer Tamari instead of soy sauce if desired. Service can be slow at times but worth the wait. The expectation was high prior to even walking through the door, as a friend was raving that the chicken teriyaki was the best they ever had. This is my second time returning here; I remember picking up takeout a while back for pad thai and pad see eew and swore I wouldn't come back. There are so many options on the menu, as there are two separate menu's for thai and japanese entrees, but they all looked underwhelming and the dishes we tried missed the mark completely. We started off with seaweed salad then yellow curry with chicken and the chicken teriyaki. At first, the aroma from the yellow curry smelled very flavorful but once you begin eating it, there's this strange taste (can't put my finger on it). Then came the blandest chicken teriyaki (hardly no teriyaki sauce and looks like boiled chicken pieces) accompanied with clear broth that is being passed as miso soup. We are so glad there is finally a Thai restaurant near our home! Love ordering our regular: simple 911 roll (spicy tuna and jalapeño on top of a crab, avocado, tempura shrimp roll), green curry with tofu, and garlic edamame. The last time we ordered our regular for pick-up during lunch time, we had to wait 45 minutes when they had said it would only take 20 minutes. Obviously, I was upset about that, but let it go. Then, I got home and opened up our order, ready to destroy our meal, and realized it was green curry with chicken. I was really upset that I had to wait 45 minutes for the wrong meal. I am updating my one star review today because we ordered our regular again, but tonight, the manager, Nat, answered and felt horrible that they had messed up our order previously. He comped the green curry we ordered tonight and delivered it himself to our home! Huge customer service kudos to this man! read more

My husband and I have enjoyed our first two experiences at Thai Thani. We visited Thailand last year and were afraid we'd never find the authentic flavors so close to home... but we did! So far, we've ordered the Yellow Curry (twice!), Phad Se-Ew, Phad Kee-Mao, and were surprised with a complimentary Thai Tea from Bee during our most recent visit. We really enjoyed the Yellow Curry and asked for Thai spice during the second visit for some extra heat. We appreciate that the spice level is customizable. The noodle dishes have been delicious as well and we've been really happy with the portion sizes. The location is quirky because it shares a space with Oishi, a sushi bar, and offers both menus but the experience is still totally Thai. My family went in for Dinner on Easter Sunday. The restaurant wasn't busy so I was hopeful for fast service. Started off stellar but went down hill. The two people I was with received their meal before me. I told them to eat so their food would be hot. My entree did not come out until they were completely done eating and me reminding the wait staff. When my food finally arrived it was cold. I barely got any type of apology. Been here a few times for lunch and the food is on point. A place that serves both japanese and Thai cuisine which equals to an extensive menu (Almost.like cheesecake factory many options). I am addicted to their yellow curry chicken here...one of the best I had. The chicken is so tender and juicy and good portion size for lunch. We always want to support local businesses so we gave this place a try. They were only opened for about a week. We came in on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm for takeout. The interior was nice and inviting. We were greeted immediately, host was very friendly. We ordered (2) rolls, rainbow roll, 3's Company, and an order of beef pad see ew. Our order was ready in about 15 minutes. Food on the pricier side, and portions were on the smaller size. The beef pad see ew was a bit disappointing. It lacked flavor and the beef was dry and over cooked. The rolls were very similar and were pretty tasty. My daughter enjoyed them. Since the restaurant is still new, staff was friendly, and our meal was okay, we would try this place again. Maybe just stick to the Japanese menu. read more

I had recently tried this place 2x and I'm still on the fence. I had Sushi both times and it was to go orders. The 1st Time was literally the 1st week of Grand opening. I had ordered the Chefs sushi order A which was supposed to be a Spicy Tuna roll with Chefs choice of the day. It wound up being a mixed Sushi combo with an order of Cali rolls. I felt a little let down since I wanted the Spicy Tuna Roll. The 2nd occasion I had ordered was an order of Spicy Tuna and Cali rolls. I had called it in and it was ready upon arriving. The people are really nice and the place looks really nice as far as ambiance goes. The Sushi 2nd time around was good and I'm looking forward to try some of the Thai food which is other part of the cuisine which dominates the other 1/2 of restaurant. Went to this place the 2nd time. The first time was a solid 4. Fast service and good food. I had the beef fried rice and it was delicious. Today I went with my fiance and we ordered the same thing but decided to also get their Thai Iced Tea and Coffee. My fiance's iced tea was delicious. My iced coffee was...not. It had a a very sour taste like bad milk or strong soy sauce. The milk in it looked cloudy and chunky. When I asked the waitress what's in it or what's it suppose to taste like, she never answered and just took it away after looking at it and taking it off my tab. read more

The food doesn't taste that great, the lamb curry and chicken curry had nothing but onions in the dish. The menu is very confusing they have sushi and combinations of different dishes on the menu very confusing on what the restaurant is about. The sodas had no carbon in them so they were all flat. The prices did not match the quality of the food. Highly recommend not going there. There are better places to eat across the street from this restaurant. read more

Ordered the chicken Satay and the BBQ Chicken Papaya Salad Combo set. Both were mediocre. The chicken of Satay was oily and fatty and the peanut sauce was oily. Update 8/4: Had to remove a few stars (from 4 to 2) due to my recent experience with their Japanese side of the restaurant (Oishi). I ordered online for an afternoon pickup time, and it took over 40 minutes over the provided ETA to get my food. Once I got my food, I realized they forgot one of my menu items and I was stuck waiting another 10 minutes even though it was apparently just sitting at the sushi bar. I was very tempted to walk out and cancel, as I had a meeting to get to (which I wound up being late for). I wasn't the only one waiting on a pickup order-- the gentlemen in front of me were waiting well over an hour for their Thai food. In between all the waiting, a handful of people walked in and out of the restaurant after not being tended to (no wait staff at the front counter). I ordered a few items to try: 1. Bento combo with tempura (veg/shrimp) and chicken karaage - did not come with any dipping sauces for either entree, and the portions were laughably small. Like, one piece of small shrimp tempura + 5 pieces of veggie, and 12 tiny pieces of chicken-- more reminiscent of the crunchy remainder bits you'd get in a popcorn chicken order. Because of the lack of meat, it just seemed like dry chicken that was over fried with no real flavor. Also came with a few pieces of California roll which was fairly typical in flavor. Would not get again. 2. Chicken katsu with curry: Decent portion of chicken katsu, but they skimped on the curry. Not enough to bathe the katsu in. The curry itself is just that-- I didn't have any potato or carrot pieces in there, so it was fairly one-noted. Probably would not get again. 3. Salmon nigiri: Only 2 pieces for $5.50. Nicely sliced and fatty-- good flavor. Definitely not worth the price, however. You'd get more bang for your buck with Safeway's sushi selection, although there's probably more quality at this restaurant. The ho-hum food was definitely overshadowed by the lack of service I received for a pickup order. I've been here a few times and I've never seen it so bad, but I can't give them the benefit of the doubt as they've been open for several months now. Seeing almost no food being sent out, and people waiting on pickup orders for hours, and listening to the phones go unanswered is inexcusable. There were no apologies from any of the staff, either. I'll probably reconsider ordering from here again and spend an extra dollar or two across the street at Toyo instead. read more

Love this place and glad it moved into The Orchards! Ate there last night and enjoyed every minute of it. My friend and I got Chicken Pad See Ew, Yellow Curry Chicken and the 911 roll (tempura, salmon, crab, jalapeño, and panko on top). Also, we got a welcome surprise to sample their mango roll which was also good. In addition to the good food the owner and everyone that works there are super friendly which also made for a great experience. Everything was so good that I'm going back today for lunch!!! Thai Thani welcome to the neighborhood!... Update: Went back for lunch and got the same friendly experience and more good food. My friend got the teriyaki steak bento box and I got the teriyaki chicken. My friend said the steak was good. I can vouch for the chicken. I loved this place! I came for a late lunch/early dinner after having seen they served both Thai & Japanese I was super excited to try it & definitely impressed - it will be my new favorite spot whenever I can go out! Very nice inside too - I thought it was cute - plus they do have some outside seating. They were very kind, patient (sometimes I can be slow to decide!) & gracious - even nice with my service dog (some people can be very unfriendly about that - I really appreciate it when they're kind!) I'm so happy to have found a place like this where I can get 2 types of food I love! I got a roll & red curry (which was even better for lunch the next day) & the person I came with hadn't planned to eat (already had eaten!) & yet still couldn't resist ordering a couple things as it all looks so delicious! One of the things she she got was the Panang prawns - which looked SO delicious that I was very impressed & even told another friend about them who went the next day & got them & said they were very delicious & enough for 2 meals too (& she goes to many places & is very particular so that was really good news to hear as you never know if it will be as good a 2nd time or when they're busier.) They served the curry with a flame underneath to keep it hot. I'm going to try a delivery if they deliver & see if it's as good. Can't wait to go back there & try so many more things! I would love to try most everything on their menu! I've not had Thai food very much & love what I've tried so far! (The only thing was they didn't have my usual favorite - the pumpkin curry (which is just red curry with kabocha squash - which is what I've usually got from other Thai places - besides that initial disappointment they still have lots of things I wanted to try! The Thai food here is fantastic! Why is it so good? Well, we've never selected anything from their Japanese menu, but their Thai menu is spot on. Fresh ingredients. Skilled preparation. And nothing's too sickeningly sweet: a common problem with Thai food on offer Stateside. We like their pad ka pow, pad thai, tom yum soup and the suea rong hai; which is done to perfection in purely authentic Issan style. In addition to that, the atmosphere and the service are fantastic. That's what really keeps us coming back. There are servers there who make us feel at home. Tonight, there were three servers in particular who made sure we were very well looked after. They were very friendly and met our every need, without ever once being intrusive. I believe their names were Karn, Tar and Eve. If you see them there, you'll be in good hands! read more

This place has soooo many options! Perfect for vegetarians and piggytarians. They have a cool eel dish for the adventurous palate, and the proportions are perfect.
