I've always seen the sign when walking in Seaport Village. That small blonde beauty in white wearing a chef's hat (chef's hat is called a toque (pronounced toke), or more formally a toque blanche (French for "white hat") and holding an almost overflowing display of glistening donuts. I have never believed the claim "The Best Donuts" or been enticed by the offer until now. Maybe it's because the world feels like it's going to end and YOLO? They actually might be the best donuts. Wow. I couldn't believe my taste buds as I munched the flakey moist outside to hit pay dirt with the gooey sugar filled jelly. Try them for yourself and be shocked while satisfied that the best donuts are in a San Diego tourist trap.

First time trying "The Best Donuts" in Seaport Village, San Diego, CA. I ordered the Bavarian Creme and chocolate donut and both were delicious. The bakery is in a good spot next to shops and restaurants. I received friendly service. Check it out! Happy Yelping :)

This place was pretty popular last night !!! I couldnt resist and had to try one. There were so many delicious choices to pick from. I ended up getting the strawberry cream cheese and it was incredible. Its in the middle of a glazed donut and bear Claw. Saved half for breakfast and tasted just as good.

We stumbled upon this small donut shop near the marina by our hotel, and it was such a delightful find! It felt like the perfect spot to grab a sweet treat while enjoying the views. The donuts themselves were fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The kids absolutely loved them, and it was so fun to watch them get excited over the new and creative flavors. There's clearly a lot of care and creativity that goes into making each one, which made the experience even more special. Overall, this donut shop is a must-visit if you're in the area. Great treats, fun new flavors, and a family-friendly atmosphere made it a highlight of our trip. We'll definitely be coming back the next time we're in SD!

I don't know how someone could name their shop "The Best Donuts" when their donuts are nowhere close to being a contender. Maybe if you like dry and stale donuts, then yes, I can see they would be the best for those people. Great marketing but laughable. Luckily they're in a tourist spot.

Was this the best donut ever??? In my opinion not really. The donuts looked good, the size was appealing to the price but from a taste perspective it was ordinary. The glaze isn't heavy. You bite and it crumbles. You lose more of the glaze onto to the table then in your bite. I'm ok with that though. I don't care for very sticky, dense glaze. You have to take several bites before getting to the filling. I tried both the black current and lemon and they were average filled taste. I was expecting more. The location is tucked back, and you order at the window. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a lot of room around to sit and enjoy your sweet treat.

I noticed this new spot open at Seaport Village today and was excited to try it! They were on the pricier side but it's pretty much expected for a touristy spot like Seaport Village. Mini donuts are $3.50, most glazed with filling were $7, which seemed on par with seaport village. There were a few "premium" ones at $12 which is extravagant for what it is. They did look pretty good in the case so I went with the pistachio donut which was one of the "premium" ones at $12. The dough was heavy and dense and the frosting was also dense and pretty sticky. It wasn't the worst but also no where near the best - definitely not what I was looking for which was a light and airy donut. And definitely not worth the price! The guy at the counter was nice and friendly. He mentioned that they had only been open for a little over a week so maybe they're still working out kinks. Overall, I might give them another shot to give them the benefit of the doubt. Also, I saw they also have coffee, boba, and beer on the menu.

They have donuts marked at $7, then charged $9 for the exact donut with a $7 price tag on it. Then, they refused to honor the displayed price, which isnt legal. Additionally, the cashier was rude. Go to Louisiana Charlies next door instead if you want to get dessert and not be taken advantage of.

The donuts were good but a lil cold and not the best for a $8 donut? But a cool experience. The lady was real helpful and nice! It's in a nice area for a lil walk around. Definitely a tourist spot!

The pistachio donut was INCREDIBLE. Absolutely loved this place!! The employees were so kind as my daughter has a peanut allergy and they wanted to make sure there were no peanuts in the items. It was so sweet! They're so kind!

Specialty donut. Regular donut topped with a not sweet cannoli. $13. Disappointing.

They're not. Bready and heavy. Huge line. Two donuts was over $20. Not very sweet. Mediocre at best.

I'm so sorry but these were not the best donuts...Seaport village is always a vibe and stunning but these donuts were overpriced and dry. The service was great though. The donut was aesthetically pleasing but that's about it!

Fresh small batch polish style donuts. Dense but fluffy dough on the inside , crispy on the outside with many fillings to choose from. Some of the donuts are quite large, so the $7 seems somewhat reasonable since it's double the size of a standard donut ( think size of a sandwich / hoagie roll). There are some specialty donuts ( Nutella, Cannoli, pistachio) that were $12, but that was a little steep in my opinion, so pasted. So many flavors to choose from it was hard to decide. I ended up with Cherry - good ratio of filling to the dough and the filling wasn't to sweet more sour cherry which I like better. They have a rose flavor donut that I'm still thinking about, that I might go back to get. I've read that is a traditional polish donut flavor. The shop is a small walk up window, no seating. This place is good for something sweet with unique flavors to enjoy while walking around and taking in all Seaport village has to offer. Service was friendly.

Was not impressed by the $12 pistachio donut. Mostly bread and not a lot of filling. For that price I expected more.

They call themselves best donuts. They are not. Mediocre and overpriced donuts would be a much better name for this establishment.

This time I tried the BB Code which is a Cold Brew with Banana Milk + Brown Sugar. It's $6.75. This was quite tasty and like nothing I tried before. Many of the drinks are themed around computer programming with names like "C++" and "Debugger". The whimsical nature of the naming is rather appealing and cute. The atmosphere here is casual and relaxed which is perfect for those needing a chill place to study or kick back. Service was quick and efficient. The staff members also were friendly and positive in mood. I ordered their batch brew coffee which was illustrated as using Guatemala beans that provided "chocolate, nutty, caramel, and citrusy" notes. I didn't quite taste the first three aforementioned notes, but the citrusy, sour note was there along with bitter notes. I've been here before and I much prefer their lattes such as the Troubleshooter and Debugger. Those are exceptionally enjoyable drinks to me. I would rate the batch brew a 3/5 but I'd rate the two aforementioned lattes around a 4.5/5. Overall, it's best to enjoy the specialty drinks here and inundate yourself with sweet caffeine to focus on studying for your upcoming test or completing your project that's about to be due.
