I enjoyed myself while in here. We showed up on a Saturday morning around 10 so I expected there to be a bit of a wait but all in all it was only about 20 minutes which was fine by me. I just had a breakfast platter and the person with me had a breakfast burrito. Honestly everything was cooked how it was ordered, everything tasted good and the service was quick and efficient how a breakfast place should operate. This was probably the worst experience I've had in a VERY long time, I gave this place one star because our waitress was polite. Orange juice was warm, food was cold and when I sent my eggs back they just microwaved them to get them hot. From. Where I was sitting i could see into the kitchen, the cooks and preppers weren't wearing their marks properly- not good practice in the middle of a global pandemic. Great breakfast place. This restaurant is not on my side of town otherwise I would be here quite often! But first of all, the biscuits, the biscuits are delicious! Fluffy, light, flaky, buttery, served warm with butter is the perfect recipe. I went with a traditional breakfast while I was here. Eggs, bacon (extra crispy), and potatoes. The eggs are made to the tee here which is always symbolic to the type of place your at. The potatoes and bacon were also tasty. I devoured my entire breakfast, while eating the warm biscuit first. Try this breakfast joint last week and I really enjoyed it. Our waitress was very attentive and she took care of us with great service. Since this restaurant supposed to have the best biscuits & gravy I ordered my breakfast with eggs, biscuits & gravy, sausages and hash brown. The gravy is really tasty! I want more gravy! I want to eat everything with that gravy on top. The portion was pretty big. Hubby and I had enough left over for lunch. Coffee is not like diner coffee, stronger and better to my taste. We've only been here a few times and only on Friday nights when our kids are in karate. Our little mini-date night. John has been our server and he is absolutely fantastic and funny. We love him. We love their fish fry stuff with fried okra, catfish, cod, fries. The stuff is fried just great because it doesn't taste greasy. it's a lot of food and we always take home a bunch of food. We'll have to bring our kids here and try their breakfasts and lunches. They also have a Biscuits right by our church in Tempe, but no John there. I went here with a couple friends and one had a service dog. The manager came over at one point and checked on us to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything special to let her know. First thing I noticed is that there are more signs between sidewalk, door, and wall that speak to what you can't do, what they do/don't have to do - not very welcoming. Decided to come here for a quick brunch At the recommendations of a few people. I was extremely disappointed. My sister ordered the fish-and-chips with 2 orders of the micky mouse pancakes. The fish was not impressive at all. Very skimpy like something you get from the frozen section from your local Grocery store. The sweet potato French frys were really good. The kids meal was good as well and a very Generous size. I ordered the Ruben sandwich. Bye the time are food came out the bottom of my sandwich was completely sogy. I ened up removing the bottom pieces of the bread so i could eat it. I also enjoyed the sweat potatoes frys. I also got a side or ranch. One of the best ranches i have had at a restaurant. I'm... Kind of confused. This Biscuits isn't part of the larger Biscuits restaurant chain...? Because if they are, they have their own menu, COMPLETELY different than the one you find online. And they don't have one single waffle. What kind of breakfast place doesn't have waffles?!? But in all fairness, the lack of waffles is my only real complaint. Four of us went for breakfast yesterday morning and everything was hugely disappointing. We were seated right away but after 20 min we flagged down someone to ask where our server. About 5 min later she came and said she was given 5 tables at once and was slammed. She had to take another order and put it in and would be back to take ours. I was seated just outside the kitchen entrance, where bad music was blasting from the kitchen, competing with the good music coming over the speakers. For years I have driven past Biscuits and I have wanted to try. Well I tried and wished I hadn't. The hostesses was super friendly, but no one else working there was. Our server was short and not friendly. And the food. YUCK! I order the Biscuit special, their so called "sausage gravy" was normal white gravy with about 4 cubed pieces of sausage in it. The gravy was NASTY along with the hash browns. They both had an almost chemical taste to them. My husband order pancakes and he said they were ok.
