The service from The Boiling Crab from the moment our party walked in was by far the best experiences I've had all year. The wait at first was one hour but we got seated in 27-30 minutes. I had to readjust my Mount Rushmore of restaurant French fries because The Cajun Fries are absolutely delicious, the seasoning, the crisp, the texture, temperature it was all a mouth watering moment. The shrimp, egg, potatoes and corn were cooked to perfection. I have no words for the crab you have to drop a pretty penny for it but it's worth every cent. One thing the stuck with me about the Ambiance is that you get to make the whole dining experience complete by permanently writing anything you want with out being pg -13 and on, on the wall closest to your table! read more

Came here on Saturday night around 8, a party of 2 (including myself). Parking can be a bit troublesome depending on the peak hours. We weren't seated until 9:45pm which is ALMOST the cut off no guarantees. However, we MADE the cut and was seated! HOORAY!!! I hear that you can slide in around 4PM and don't have to wait that long. So anytime before 4pm shouldn't be a long wait. My friend and I put in our orders and then our orders were given to the wrong table. We waited for a while. No one really acknowledge that or even comp us app or anything for the long wait of our food. I don't like to complain about anything and pretty easy going. Crawfish was good. I am surprise there is only one location in Dallas, outside of Dallas. Hoping there would be more location closer to Dallas. read more

I was in Dallas for the week and had to get some seafood while I was here. The Boiling Crab didn't disappoint! It was so good that I didn't even remember to take any pictures. I purchased a pound of crab legs & shrimp for take out. The only disappointment was that the crab legs seemed so small for 1lb, only got 1 cluster. The shrimp was a little over cooked; it was hard to take them out of the shells and was a little mushy tasting. But the flavor though ... so good! And they don't skimp on the amount of sauce either. Both bags were very saucy which I loved! Most other places I've been too don't give you much. I would definitely eat here again. read more

Lemmon pepper and original cajun are good too, but why not get all the flavors in one with the sha-bang. This place is finger licking good. Very saucy and garlic-y. The shrimp are big, juicy and fresh. Blue crabs are annoying to eat so skip that, and opt for other crabs like dungeness, king and snow crabs. I like my sha-bang in medium. The triple XXX is too hardcore, and it burns not so good afterwards. Always get it with a side of cajun fries. They are perfect. Their oysters are good too. Pretty much everything here is da bomb yo, but crawfish is the ultimate bad a**. The only thing annoying about this place is the wait. 2 hours on most days, and anytime of the day, even during winter time, when crawfish is not in season. To avoid the long wait, call an hr ahead of time for a to go order. It's just as good at home, but you'll have to clean the mess :(. Everybody and their mama love this place. I ordered 2 lbs of crawfish with potatoes, corn and sausage. I was actually a bit disappointed at the food. The crawfish was small and dry. Not juicy at all. I got the mild and it was okay. The flavor was rather bland for crawfish. The sausage tasted dried out and old. The bottom of the bag had very little juice and more dried mush seasoning. And don't even think about sucking the head (it was just down right yuck yuck going on). I've eaten here in the past, and it was pretty good. Maybe I just had a bad batch or something. Hopefully I did. I really enjoyed this place in the past. I was super excited to sink my teeth into some crawfish, and was disappointed. I came to The Boiling Crab couple weeks ago to eat with my friend who visited me from Nashville. I always have great time here. That day we order 2 lb of snowcrab, 1 lb of crawfish, and 1 lb of shrimp with medium spicy. I also love the fact that they always mix in their corn and potatoes. That is the way I like it for sure ! We also ordered raw oysters as our appetizer. Boiling crab never disappointed me. Their taste and their seafood always on point. The service on the other hand. I feel like that day that we went we have this young gentlemen as our server. He only came to check on us once and it was because we ran out of our drink. He was checking on the table right next to us multiple times. the treatment was clearly different because we are two young women and another table was 3 adults. Now it seems there's an extra cost for everything. My brother ordered crawfish, Cajun fries, and a catfish basket. He explained that the fish & fries were great. The crawfish, with corn & sausage, seemed old, he explained. He asked for them to be returned and reheated. Not give best idea. Eventually, they just redid the order. I ordered the shrimp as well as crab legs. My order was fine. I will say, however, the seasoning seemed a bit off. Back in the gap, when I used to order the whole shabang-medium, you could taste each of the three types mixed. That wasn't the case this time. It's like they change the entire way of doing it. All in all, the food was mediocre this go around. Customer service was great. Our waitress did a great job with checking in on us as well as fixing things that needed to be fixed. I miss the old way. Dang, I can see why this place is so popular! My party of 7 got there at around 4.00 thinking we may be able to avoid the lines but there was still a short wait. Servers were friendly and attended to us as quickly as possible when available since the place was packed! Still socially distancing tables :)! All staff wore masks still also! Sadly I didn't take the best pics but once all the crawfish, mussels, snow crabs, and shrimp bag hit the table my family and I chowed! Came here on a Saturday night and my friend told me the wait wouldn't be as long as the other joints in Cali. Boy were they wrong. We had to wait an hour just to get seated and since it was so cold that night, the front waiting area was cramped with people trying to escape the chill. Coming from California, I consider Boiling Crab the holy grail of cajun seafood boils. I was sincerely hoping the Dallas branch would live up to the name. Unfortunately they did not. We ordered the whole shebang with the shrimp, clams and crab legs and somehow, the flavors were just salty and lacking in depth. We were also disappointed again that night when we tried to order dungeness and were told they were all out. For good measure, we also ordered the sweet potato fries and fried catfish and those were good.
