My cousins mother in law recommended me to try this place out for a quick on the go meal. I ended up trying the Bombay sandwich which was extremely good and decently priced! It entailed a savory potato and vegetable filling, cucumber, onions, tomato, shredded amul cheese, and homemade chutney. Would recommend if you're looking for a vegetarian sandwich.

I ordered a custom wedding cake and some bite sized pastries from the Cake Korner for my wedding and the cake was absolutely beautiful and scrumptious! We worked with Jay throughout the whole process and he was a pleasure to work with! My husband and I were recommended this bakery by our friends who purchased their wedding cake and birthday cakes from here within the last couple years. Through our friends, we've tried the mango mousse and chocolate cake and we knew we had to get our wedding cake from here, too. We first had a cake tasting as I wanted to try some of their specialty flavored cakes that is not offered at most bakeries. I've always loved Indian desserts and the fact that they had Indian desserts flavored cake was so exciting for me! When my husband and I were deciding which flavors to try for the cake tasting, he was very skeptical on trying the Indian cake flavors I wanted to try and boy, oh boy, was I in for a big surprise! My husband LOVED the Indian flavors that we tasted and we had the most difficult time trying to choose which flavors we wanted to order for our wedding cake. The tasting was so, so good and we cannot wait to order more future cakes from here to try all the different flavors of the cakes they make here! We ended up ordering the mawa malai and Ferrero rocher flavors for our wedding cake and additional the mango mousse and chocolate flavored bite size pastries. I provided a reference photo of what we wanted our cake to look like and it came out even more beautiful than the reference!!! There were no crumbs leftover from both the cake and the pastries! Our guests kept complementing how beautiful our cake was and they absolutely LOVED our cakes and couldn't stop talking about how moist, light, and flavorful our cakes were! My husband and I look forward to purchasing all our future cakes from here!!!

Cake Korner in Artesia truly exceeded our expectations. We ordered a variety of cakes to try different flavors, and each one was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The standout for me was definitely the Black Forest cake--perfectly sweet, rich without being heavy, and the icing was just right, not overly thick or overpowering. You can tell a lot of care goes into their recipes and presentation. On top of the great desserts, the shop itself is clearly evolving. It looks like this location is expanding, and the new furniture being added already looks amazing and very inviting. It's exciting to see them growing, and I can't wait to see what else gets added to the space. Overall, a fantastic experience with great cakes and an even better vibe--highly recommend Cake Korner!

If you are looking to get an amazing cake for birthdays or for special occasions I would highly recommend getting your cake from here! This is my third time purchasing a birthday cake and my go to is their popular mango mousse cake. It's light, airy, just the right amount of sweetness, moist, and so deliciously mango! The mango is a staple so if you want it's readily available for same day pickup. The staff is amazing, super friendly, helpful, and kind! The man helping me today 03.22.24 was so nice. I was torn between the mango and strawberry cake he gave me a sample of the strawberry cake to help me with my decision. Although the strawberry cake was awesome I had to choose my favorite ... the mango cake. Ambiance is nice, you can order pastries there and slices of individual cakes to enjoy. There are tables and chairs to sit inside so you can enjoy your treats.

I go here for the variety of Indian food that I don't really see much elsewhere, i.e. the sandwiches, chaats, and puffs. I haven't had anything I don't like here. From the items I've tried, my absolute favorites, in order of preference, are the bhel puri, aloo chili puff, samosa chaat, and chikoo shake. The chikoo shake is sweet and delicious, not thick/dense, but sadly comes in a small cup (12 oz?) for the price. I also enjoyed the other items like vada pav, pav bhaji, aloo papdi chaat, and lassi. The paneer tikka puff, egg puff, black forest cake, and combo roll were okay. Service is great. My order usually comes out within 10 minutes. I always order to-go, and I appreciate them putting the chutneys and sev for my chaat in small containers. I'm not familiar with most of the menu items, and the staff is always patient in explaining the menu and sharing their recommendations. If I recall correctly, the kitchen closes at 8:30 pm. If you're hoping to get anything besides the savory puffs or cakes, definitely aim to get here before then. There are only 3 tables inside, but I've never really seen people dining in when I go in the evening. It shares a lot with a few other restaurants and businesses like Tastea and Yogurtland, so parking can be tricky once in a blue moon. I've always been able to find parking, though.

Was in the area so decided to check out Cake Korner, they have a good selection of pastries / cakes. And they sell savory puff pastries. They have vegetable, egg, and paneer versions of the puff pastry. This is more like a take out place, and has a few tables if you decide to dine in. They also sell bread and Indian vegetarian dishes. More like a cafe than a restaurant. Service was good, the owner was very polite.

We were looking for a gender reveal cake and we didn't want to drive too far. I came across The Cake Korner on Yelp and saw all the beautiful custom cakes they've designed & baked. We decided to give them a try. We went to the bakery after our doctor's appointment with an envelope of our baby's gender. We told them what we wanted and gave them the "top secret" envelope. The lady that worked there was so nice; she wrote down our order & offered advice. I emailed them the photo of the cake design I wanted. The price kind of shocked me, but I guess it's a custom order so it's to be expected. We picked up the cake 3 days later and it exceeded our expectations! It was beautiful! They even gave us back the envelope too. The next day we had our small little gender reveal. When my husband cut into the cake & pulled out a slice, the layers were simply gorgeous!! The cake wasn't too sweet either and all the seniors enjoyed it! We chose vanilla flavor so the sponge part could be dyed either blue or pink. Overall, we highly recommend The Cake Korner!

I like the cakes from this place. It has a health rating of B now (in Feb 2020). It used to have a health rating of A in the past. A note to the owner: please improve the cleanliness of your restaurant and get your health rating up again please. As I said, I like your food. Needed an eggless cake for a family member that is vegetarian. They have pre-made cakes that you can choose from or you can request one in advance in your choice of many flavors. We went with a lemon cake and it was delicious! The presentation was so pretty. So happy we found this bakery and will definitely be back. This is the place to go for Eggless Cake. I was able to take my design there and they made a beautiful cake for my daughter 1st birthday. Everyone was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Their cakes are always amazing but being a long time customer, I knew about other items ( Fruit and Plum cake etc) and dishes (sandwiches and chaat) they serve are also great. We ordered Mixed Fruits flavor cake, Paav Bhaji, Tawa Pulav and Raita for our birthday party. The sweetness of the cake was just right, I was worried because this flavor gets a bit tricky with amount of sweetness but the cake was perfect. Paav Bhaji's tasted like it was home made and people specifically mentioned it because it didn't have the artificial color and taste they usually get in restaurants. It was a big hit. They were very generous with the garnishing/condiments that go with Paav Bhaji. The amount fit perfectly for 30-35 people. Tawa Pulav and Raita tasted superb too. I am so glad I decided to choose them for my party. Love the thoughtfulness with which they provided the service and the way they listened and incorporated every detail so carefully. read more

Went there last Thursday. Ordered Amul Pizza and Paneer Tikka pizza with chiku shaka. Cheese pizza was very sweet and have to throw away after trying 2 slices. Paneer tikka was edible but not really a pizza. Chiku shake was more like fruti. read more

There's no place in LA area that serves Indian style pastries and veg puffs and that. I liked it better when this store used to be hot breads. I still go here when I have a craving for puffs (even though it's not good or super fresh). I tried the aloo chili puff and it wasn't bad. But it was definitely misleading. They literally just sprayed chili flakes on top of the puff. Aloo chili in authentic puff would be curry made of aloo with some chilies. Aloo = potato. So I was kinda disappointed and frustrated. The egg puff wasn't too bad. And I don't know why they give it like a cheese coating on top, kinda ruins it. This is obviously not my most favorite place or preferred place, but if I do need an Indian snack, I'm kinda stuck with going here. So I can see why people go, but they should probably up their standards. And they don't necessarily serve it hot. They warm it a little but by the time you start eating it, the food is a bit cold. Don't buy pizza here.. Multiple times pizza came out smelling bad and cold and sometime uneven temperature. We had to go back and get a new one. It's not recommended since we feed children. Even the cookies had mold. We altogether stopped buying anything here. read more

Customer service is horrible. Walked in for a pick up cake order and was told it would be ready by 4. I have been here for ever 20 minutes waiting. The cashier was extremely rude when I was trying to pick up my cake and was rudely talked to so I can confirm with a phone number. The cashier cussed me out in Punjabi thinking I wouldn't understand, but understood perfectly. Horrible service overall read more

The locals know all about this hidden gem! They don't even have a sign outside, but, boy do you need to go taste the treats! The business card says "Eggless, vegetarian, sugar free cakes". One taste and you will think they are LYING!! Seriously, very good baked goods...and if they are truly eggless, sugarless, etc...then this place is spectacular! I'm very impressed and walked out with 4 items: Tiramisu, mango cake, black forest cake, and a chocolate "tulip". Hand made and phenomenal taste ... sugar free just keeps me happy and guilt free lol Go visit these nice folks and let's show them what Yelp'ers can do for a business that has the right idea!!! :) read more

The cakes here are fresh and absolutely delicious. I am not vegan or vegetarian, but the eggless cakes they make are so tasty and very popular in the community. I came in recently to order a custom mango cake for my mom's 60th birthday. The lady I spoke to was very sweet and helped me design a lovely cake. Price was reasonable for a 12 inch round, $90. My mom and her friends LOVED it. Gorgeous and sooooo yummy. My only gripe is that they used such a flimsy box to put the cake in. Even though I held it with care, the thin box folded in during transport, resulting in some damage to the side of the cake. With sturdier boxes, this would be a full 5 star experience. read more

This use to be called hot breads....We are vegetarian and don't eat eggs so finding good eggless cakes is always a challenge. But, they have the best eggless cakes ever!!!! It is so soft and delicious. I have ordered cakes for birthday parties ample of times. Their black forest and chocolate mousse cake is amazing. We wanted to try something new and ordered a two tier cake for a dinner we were hosting.They let you chose the designs and flavor and you can even show them your own design if you like something else! We ordered a week in advance and they were nice enough to deliver the cake to our venue. It was delicious and all the guests loved it!!! Later, when we visited there to get paneer puff the manager recognized us and offered us to try the coffee cake we ordered since we didn't really get to enjoy it in the dinner we were hosting. We have been here multiple times, I have tried their aloo puff, paneer puff, paneer panini and the taste is amazing. Puffs are nice and flaky as they should be. read more

I TRIED to place an extra order for 8" round cake that's listed as $28 on the website. I wanted a basic white cake with any type of rainbow. Didn't really care, but they asked me to send a photo. I google searched a pink cake with a rainbow on top. They told me I HAD to get fondant & to use different color icing, the cake would now be $75. I was annoyed but decided that was fine, even though it wasn't what I wanted. I received a call back & was asked if I wanted it exactly like the photo I sent, height wise. I told them I wanted their standard 8" round cake & they said ok. Sent an invoice for $75. An hour later I received an email saying that they HAVE to make the cake tall & that it was now $140 for something I didn't want. I read the reviews and decided not to move further with this order. read more

I've been coming to Pampanga's Bakery in Artesia for a while now, and it's long overdue that I actually give them their flowers. If you are looking for authentic, comforting Filipino baked goods and kakanin, this is the gold standard. Every time I walk in, the shelves are loaded with staples. Their selection of kakanin is also massive. The **Puto Assorted** and **Puto & Kutsinta** packs ($3.90) are always perfectly soft, vibrant, and fresh, and they have massive trays of **Biko Pandan** and **Cassava Cake** if you're feeding a crowd. For the savory side, the **Chicken Empanadas** and **Fried Lumpia** always hit the spot. And of course, there's the **Turon**. Yes, the price has risen to $1.05 a piece, but honestly? It's just modern economics, and it is still worth every single penny. It is still the absolute best of the best--shattered-crisp, perfectly caramelized on the outside, and packed right. There have been several occasions when we had to pay and come back later because of the high demand for their product. Because we live about 30 miles away, we were advised to place our orders by phone before making the trip, which is exactly what we've been doing. Yesterday, however, we experienced one of the most inefficient customer service experiences we've ever had. We called multiple times to confirm our order, and the staff who answered assured us not to worry because they had plenty available and that our order would be ready when we arrived. When we got there, the exact opposite happened. We were told they had run out of turon and that we would need to wait another hour. While discussing the situation with the cashier, we watched another staff member assist the customer behind us, who purchased 60 pieces. We had preordered only 30 pieces, yet somehow they were able to fulfill that larger order while failing to honor ours. Poor customer service will eventually drive customers away. Yes, the product is excellent, but there will come a time when the product alone is no longer enough to keep customers coming back. Given the popularity of their business, they should be focusing on improving their customer service and honoring preorders to maintain customer loyalty. Good products attract customers, but good service keeps them.

They close at 6pm; however, they have their mochi donuts, malasadas, and donuts at 50% off in their last hour of operation (5p-6p). Coming in at 5pm, I was able to get three mochi donuts for $5, and a malasada for $1.29. It's reasonable at full price, but it's a steal at happy hour!

However, their cakes are delicious, and they also take custom orders, adding to the appeal.
