This is my family's go to coffee shop before we leave for the airport. It's always so quiet and clean! The staff is also really friendly and of course their coffee never fails to satisfy my tastebuds! I have been loyal to Coffee Bean ever since my days in the I.E. when i would have to drive 25 minutes for an ice blended fix over by the only location across from Ontario Mills! I have been in at least 2 dozen different locations since that glorious discovery a decade or so ago. What can i say, their frapaccino counterparts are like comparing Coco's to Lawry's...CBTL is the best and whatever is in that secret vanilla powder keeps our office going back almost daily for our ritual fixes! read more

I love Coffee Bean!!!! The one in El Segundo is really nice, is usually not crowded like starbucks and the staff is really friendly. I like them because they always give you good suggestions too!!! Try the hazelnut blended drink with blended coffee beans!!! It's worth the extra splurge on calories every now and then. I usually stick to my chai latte with non-fat milk and half the syrup so a treat to something overly sweet is always good. =D read more

Walked in, I waited at the order counter for 3mins before I was noticed. And when I ordered the girl at the counter was mildly rude and with out expression. I explained that I wanted to a blended vanilla drink, she seem to be bothered that I didn't want a mocha hot drink. Well, I had said; "blended" where did they get to offer me a hot beverage. The young lady was obviously not in too great spirits to be there.. When we re order was handed to the counter for me to pick up, it was dripping of the blended coffee, I found it had bothered me. It was very slow to have been received with a dry, and short demeanor. I wish it had been a different, more of a pleasant experience. Thanks Coffee Bean. Worst location ever! The customer service is non existent. The person who took my order was rushing so much that she kept trying to end my order after each item and I only ordered two things. I asked her to please make sure that they toasted my bagel extra well and she said she would. I use my app to pay for my order and she took it and then turn to the next person i line and said can I help you before I even walked away. I stood to the side because my app was not updating waiting for my balance. Then in the middle of her taking the next order she called me back over because there was not enough money on my app. I paid her cash. So I stand off to the side to wait for my drink and I get called over to pick up my bagel and of course my bagel is barely toasted. So I drop the bagel back on the counter and ask the person gave me the bagel if she can toast it extra well. I mentioned to her that I had asked the cashier to please make sure It was toasted extra well and she said she would but I don't even think she was listening to me. And that employee's response was well you don't have to toss your bagel at me. When I mentioned that I thought the customer service there was not very good and I wasn't happy, she just ignored me so I asked her who the manager was and she just pointed in the direction with her back to me. I will NEVER go there again! The owner needs to seriously consider hiring more friendly, customer oriented employees. read more

Coffee bean is my choice for store bought coffee. Never had a problem with any coffee bean. Their selection of ground or whole bean coffee is also great. I mean I only get French vanilla or hazelnut flavor and they've always had it when I go in to buy it. Service is as expected, meaning it depends on how busy it is and how many people are working so I've never had any problem with that. The Fraps have always came out great as well,then again I've never given any instructions as to how much of what to add or not add and what to substitute for ingredients. I dunno this place is pretty whatever, coffee is pretty good but nothing to brag about especially at the prices. Pastry selection is ok but sandwich and salad selections suck. They only have chicken and tuna sandwiches and this lame tuna salad. no variety at all. very disappointing but its not bad it is tasty but come on seriously you need to have more then one choice of salad. oh and no hot breakfast anything which really sucks too read more

I stared going to this Coffee Bean Jan or Feb of 2013 with a work buddy since it's so close to work. I loved coming here! The store is clean, neat & almost always busy in the mornings since the location is attached to an office building. The refrigrated items are usually always stocked, but there may be a time or 2 when you're looking for a baked good in the display case & it might not be as large of a selection availible (but it's rare). This location definately provides sales, seasonal deals & special offers, especially (but not limited to) when a new flavor comes out. If you work in the building, be on the look out, you might get a special email! The baristas & cashiers are friendly & help you with a smile, plus they get to know their regulars. They recommend drinks if you have no idea what to get & are patient when helping the unfamilliar. If you like your drinks a special way, they definitely accomidate you. Saddly, I'd been noticing for the past 2 months or so that my drinks unfortunately hadn't been coming out the way I'd been asking for them. For example, there were many times in which I'd asked for easy ice for my iced drinks & then still end up with a half a cup of ice in my a small or medium drink which makes me feel like a huge part of what I paid for was the ice primarily since that's the majority of my beverage. There are several instances in which I'd go into our office, get a cup & start shoveling ice from my drink into a seperate 10 oz cup & almost fill it up everytime. Clearly my drinks were getting overwhelmed with ice. I've gone back to them to infom them of my issue & they end up making another drink for me. I switched to hot drinks & that didn't help. At this point I just got tired of having to correct it. I understand when new employees come aboard, but consistency is a huge part of customer satisfaction! I feel the consistancy has fallen off, especially during a busy morning, so I haven't been back since November 2013. The employees here don't quite cut it as "baristas". My cashier didn't even know what an iced hazelnut coffee was. And the espresso machine was down today. But it's still coffee bean and I was glad to find a product I could count on. And they stay true to their usual prices here too, despite being in an airport. The chai tea latte is the BEST! The staff is always super nice and its within walking distance from my office so even better. Parking might be a little hectic for people driving in but that's probably the only downside. read more

Not sure the type of training coffee bean employees get (Starbucks employees are trained so they can get through an average of 220 customers per hour with full staff and two cashiers) but i almost missed my 6:30am flight waiting in line. I've been in here quite a few times since I'm consistently at the airport so I've given plenty of opportunity to show it wasn't just a bad day but the cashier lady Nina is repeated orders properly but not putting them in the computer right causing us delay and having to purchase another drink since she didn't ring it up the first time, didnt heat up any of the food like she asked up we wanted and her and the barista got irritated when I asked to make my drink the right way since it was made with the wrong powder.. definitely going to stick with Starbucks from now on. read more

Ssssoooo ssssslllllooooowwwww... Plenty of people behind the counter and in the back but only two waiting on customers - 1 taking orders, 1 filling them. When a third did make an appearance briefly to pick up some of the slack, she decided to make a couple of backlogged orders at random meaning that people who had placed their orders much later got served ahead of a number who who had already been waiting a LONG time. By far the worst service of any Coffee Bean we've ever visited. We ordered two cold brew iced coffees and when Khalie (or Khalee) gave them to us, there was no ice in either cup. She said the ice "probably just melted". Despite not understanding how COLD brew could melt a cup of ice so quickly, I politely asked for a normal amount of ice in each cup. Khalie leisurely put in 6-8 tiny ice cubes in each one, not even looking down at the cups as she did it, and rolled her eyes as she gave them back to me. Obviously this still didn't quality for an "iced coffee" since there was barely any ice in either cup. Asking yet again for more ice, Khalie (still not paying attention to what she was doing) knocked both cups of coffee all over me. All over my brand new clothes. Worse yet, she didn't even apologize, her manager had to do that. I was handed a $5 gift card. I appreciate the gesture but $5, really? My clothes are now ruined and you give me $5?!?! The clothes they ruined totaled almost $100. Unreal. I've always avoided coming to this location because the service is usually very poor. But today was inexcusable and I hope the owner of this location takes action. Nobody owning or running a business should be happy with the careless attitude often displayed among the employees. So I discovered this Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf on my way to work last week and I have to say that this location is not that bad! In terms of its service, the employees are very friendly, and get my order right and quick :) Seems to have quite a bit of tables over some of the other CB's. The one drawback would have to be its parking situation...tight spaces and just not enough since no parking allowed on the side street :( If I find an open parking space, I'll grab my drink from this location for sure! read more
