Absolutely delicious. We came here for breakfast after hearing so many great things and we can't wait to come back here next time we're out in Boulder City. I went with the chicken fried steak with over easy eggs and chose to add a short stack of pancakes. The chicken fried steak was some of the best I've ever had and it's something I'll definitely order again. I did not expect the short stack of pancakes to be so large though! While the pancakes were also delicious, I wasn't able to finish them so I might try a different side with breakfast next time. The restaurant has beach vibes and there are many photos on the walls and water skis and surfboards hanging from the ceiling. The staff are very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. We will be back along with friends when we bring them up to Boulder City too! read more

Super cute location. Good service. Great food. Super casual. Fun decor all around. Easy street parking. Not far from Las Vegas. Drove from the Strip for breakfast. Highly recommend coming here very early though. We were there by 8am, when we left after 9, there was a line of people waiting to get inside. read more

A friend of ours lives in Boulder City and said we had to give this place a try. We were not disappointed! The place is cute but it's a small space so expect a wait, especially considering its popularity. The servers are quick to get you what you want though so the turn over is quick. The breakfast taco is my fav but really you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. You won't be disappointed if you stop in and visit this quaint and historic portion of Boulder City and try this amazing restaurant! read more

Loved this place so much! This is literally my favorite burger ever. I would go more often if I lived closer. It was like the shake shack shroom burger but 100 times better. Coffee Cup Cafe in Boulder City is like stepping back in time. A real old time diner, even been featured on the FoodNetwork. Atmosphere is a fun decor, real diner decor. Food was all good. Breakfast and lunch served all day. BLTA was delish with a side of very crispy fries. Huevos Rancheros we're the real deal with homemade style salsa. Servers were friendly and attentive. Although the wait to get a table can be long, our 20 minute time was quick. We hit it at a good time, noon. read more

The Coffee Cup is a local standout in Boulder City. I drive from Henderson to enjoy a great breakfast or brunch at this restaurant. They are open every day from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The ambiance gives off a warm hometown feeling. The restaurant was featured on the first episode of "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" on the "Food Network". On their menu the items that were selected for the show are marked with the FN logo. All the food is prepared in-house (sauces, gravy's, meatloaf, tuna salad, etc). Your order will be cooked fresh to order. The Coffee Cup is definitely a restaurant to add to your list. These folks care and it shows!! read more

I've had breakfast for the last three days at this amazing little diner, today I decided to have a nice juicy cheeseburger for lunch, the moment you come in you agreed with an immediate smile from the hostess, the waitresses, absolutely adorable, precise, and are up to par with hospitality etiquette, I highly recommend this place. read more

My wife and I stumbled across this cute coffee shop while walking around Boulder City, NV - The World Famous Coffee Cup Café. It was a Saturday morning and quite a few folks sitting outside waiting for a table so we figured it must be worth the wait and it was. Very authentic coffee shop with large, reasonably priced menu items . . . and the coffee was good as well. Definitely a must stop if you are in the area and if you are looking for a place to stay while in Boulder City check-out the Boulder Dam Hotel and Museum. Each room is uniquely different and the museum does a great job of providing an orientation to Hoover Dam. Enjoy Americana in Boulder City. read more

It's good, but I don't know that I'm completely sold on the hype! I was here for the 4th of July parade and decided to get the order to go as the place was packed as usual. Good idea as the food was ready in 15 minutes! I ordered the classic, for them, Chile Verde Omelet which is all it's cracked up to be! The flavors of the pork are outstanding, and the omelet itself was a very nice size. I of course took them at their word that everything was in the bag upon leaving, but of course it wasn't! The sourdough toast was missing in action! It is such an inexcusable action to not put all of the food in a to-go order as it's what the customer paid for. I completely get the missing fork, napkins, ketchup, or whatever else from time to time. Missing food I'm just always left with a level of distrust from such experiences. I'll be back I'm sure, however, perhaps with a checklist in hand?! read more

What an amazing find in Boulder City! Stopped in for lunch after an early morning flight arrival and exploration of Hoover Dam. We had worked up quite an appetite and this family-owned business did not disappoint us. Lots of variety on the menu, quick service and great food! I had the steak sandwich and fries, which was fantastic. Lots of meat, fresh mushrooms and cheese on a fresh toasted bun. The fries were also piping hot and cooked to perfection. Husband and son had a Hawaiian teriyaki burger that they said was delicious; needed lots of extra napkins. The restaurant is in a historic area, very neat. The Cup is a cute little coffeeshop located on the Bolder hwy, nestled in old town Bolder City. It's got small town atmosphere with electic but fun decor that draws your eyes around the building. You can definitely tell this is a locals favorite as well as a common place for travelers pacing through. The menu is a mix of Mexican and classic dinner fare, and consists of a breakfast and lunch selection. Myself and my 3 family members were seated quickly and ordered and received our food in a timely manner. My food was delicious, I ordered the chili Verde on hash browns. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture because I was so hungry and it was so good it didn't survey long. With the price point being reasonable, the atmosphere and the food being as delicious as it was, I recommend this spot for as good breakfast or lunch if your in the area! read more

As a Boulder City resident I've been coming here for years. I know the owners personally. This place is by far the best breakfast brunch place in town. Service is on point and quick. The Family an I were making our way from Lost Wages to Williams, AZ to begin our Arizona adventure. We decided stop at The Coffee Cup for breakfast. The Coffee Cup sits on in the middle of the historic district in the tiny hamlet of Boulder City. It has been around for a while and was featured on season 1, episode 1 of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on the Food Network. We arrived about 8:30 and the place was pretty busy. The Coffee Cup is all about comfort food. The menu has everything you could want for a hearty appetite. Since I'm a lover of meatloaf, I ordered the meatloaf and eggs with hash browns and the eggs over medium. The brown gravy mixed with the buttery eggs and hash browns was heaven. The Mrs. ordered the breakfast tacos and loved them. Kiddo had the build your own omelette. She wasn't too thrilled with it but, if you saw what she put in it, you'd find it boring too. The waitresses were all very friendly. The Coffee Cup is very much a local place from what I could tell. I doubt many people think of Boulder City when they think about breakfast. read more

As I was on my way to Hoover Dam, I stopped by Boulder City and visited one of the most popular breakfast cafes in town. The Coffee Cup and Southwest Diner had really long waiting lines and the wait time for table seats was about one hour when I arrived here on Sunday at 8:30 AM. Luckily, I was able to grab a bar seat immediately upon my arrival. I had a slight difficultly on finding parking spots, but I did find one just few blocks away from the restaurant (free parking). Apparently their Pork Chili Verde Omelette and the Godfather Plate were featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on the Food Network. Their menu includes tons of options, but thankfully they highlighted some of their popular items. Oh I was actually surprised to see that they also have Sriracha sauce! *** Pork Chili Verde Omelette (Tender Pork in the Famous Green Chili Sauce and Cheddar Cheese - hash brown & sourdough $10.25): Pork chili verde had pretty good flavors. The blend between spiciness and sourness for green chili sauce was just right. Pork could have been more flavorful, but overall it was a solid omelette. *** Amazing service and good food! I would actually recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a solid traditional American breakfast, but please expect a long waiting line! read more

From the moment you come onto the store and see people waiting, the atmosphere of the surrounding area, and how crowded the restaurant is...you just know it's got to be good. AND IT IS!! I ordered an omelette and my friends all ordered different things and my oh my, with some of their finest coffee, just can't get any better of a brunch on the way to kayak at the Lake. Go early and get it quick! The food is to die for no matter what you order. They were on food networs for a reason. The green chili Verde bomb fries are my absolute favorite. The servers are all very friendly and locals love this place. It's small and they get you in and out in a jiffy. The decor is very beachy surfer vibes and filled with pictures and dollars you can put on the wall after you sign them. I absolutely love this place read more

Family owned and ran company. Our staff is incredible with outstanding customer service. Our wait time on weekends can get a bit long but our turn around time for receiving your food is rather quick which works out well. We do have a bar in the back room where coffee, Bloody Marys or mimosas are available while you wait inside or out front. Great food, amazing staff, Fun atmosphere and always great customers!

History

Established in 1994.

Originally purchased the business in 1994 and had it for 10 years on the opposite end of the block we are on now. We now have been in this location (the old happy days diner, Harry’s cafe, green hut) for 15 years. So total of 25 years now! Both buildings have been here since the early 1930’s. Lots of history to them. Over time things grew and progressed. Moving to our location we are at now provided us more space to seat more people & much bigger kitchen, which meant we could expand our menu options. We also opened up a bar so we could serve mimosas and Bloody Mary Mix (which we know have bottled and is available here at The Cup!) We also went from having about 8 employees in the very beginning to now we have 29! Our parents (Al & Carri) definitely showed us what long hours and working hard was all about. Growing up in this place has been an amazing experience and we are so proud and blessed of all our accomplishments made possible with our staff and customers. Many more years to come!

I was first turned on to CRCR by good friend and former owner of Bread and Butter Chris Herrin. A few months later while dining at Eat in downtown, I enjoyed that same delicious smooth cuppa joe,(unfortunatey, both B&B and Eat no longer use them) and knowing that they were in Boulder City, I knew one of these days I HAD TO go straight to the source. Pulling up to their storefront, it looks like nothing from the outside but as you enter, the smell of roasting coffee beans hit you like WOW!!! We met Don and Erik Anderson who are responsible for making some of the most delicious coffee you will have ever tasted(if you haven't yet). They were even nice enough to give us a little behind the scenes tour and explain their delicate roasting process using state of the art equipment (infrared heat, not open fire) and even offered tips on how to enjoy their product in the best possible way. We decided to grab a bag of one of Eirk's favorite blends-Bolivia: Amor De Dios, a 12 ounce bag for $10. If you're looking for a specific characteristic, flavor, etc. they have other blends available and Erik will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. When we arrived to the window to pay on our first visit, we were told to take a lap around the drive-thru and that our order would be ready upon our return. It turned out we arrived to the window and waited about 20 minutes before we received our order. Order: With the wait time in mind, please remember that Rome wasn't built in a day--so don't expect a quality meal to be ready within five minutes. With that being said, we ordered the 1). double cheeseburger with fries, 2). crispy chicken sandwich with fries, 3). fish and chips, 4). chicken tenders, 5). a strawberry shake, and 6). a chocolate shake between our three visits. The quality across all three visits was consistent and detailed here: 1). The Double Cheeseburger was cooked to our doneness preference. The bun was toasted with light butter and a slight crunch to the bite. The patties were juicy and well-seasoned. The cheese was evenly melted on the patties. The condiments did not overpower the patties' flavor. The toppings were the standard lettuce, tomato, and onions--which worked harmoniously with the rest of the burger, making for one of the best burgers I have ever had. Upon first glance, it meets my expectations of what a burger should be. 2). Much like the Double Cheeseburger, the Crispy Chicken Sandwich was of excellent quality. All of its components worked collectively to deliver in flavor and texture, including the toasted bun with the slight crunch. It was a perfect Crispy Chicken Sandwich. 3). The Fries were flavorful (fry seasoning, salt), crinkle cut, and evenly fried throughout (i.e. you did not have some hard pieces and some soggy pieces). We recommend a side of ranch for dipping. 4). The Fish and Chips were your standard Fish and Chips--and I mean that in the best way. They were fried until the classic golden and served with tartar sauce. Again, everything you would expect out of Fish and Chips. 5). While the Chicken Tenders were good, they were not outstanding. We would not order them again due to the other superior items on the menu. 6). The Strawberry Shake was flavored with fresh strawberries and like the Chicken Tenders, it was not outstanding. The Chocolate Shake was a classic Chocolate Shake. If you are craving a shake, then go for it. Otherwise, there isn't anything that would separate these shakes from another good quality shake. Both shakes leaned toward a thicker consistency. Note: The medium sized shakes are huge. If we ever get one again in the future, we will order a small instead. Service: We felt welcomed during each visit and did not feel rushed at the intercom (all three of our visits were through the drive-thru). Prior to visiting, we were unsure of what to expect with the mixed reviews and ultimately decided that we would just find out for ourselves. We are so grateful that we made the choice to try Chilly Jilly'z, because it is now one of our favorite spots in Southern Nevada. We definitely recommend that you give it a try!

There was a sweet potato bowl on the menu that looked tasty, and while reviewing the menu I watched one get delivered to a table and it looked delicious and it was ENORMOUS! I wasn't sure I wanted to each that much so I went with a chicken wrap, my wife ordered a pizza, and my sister in law ordered a "small" salad. We decided to sit outside and they brought us our food and a sample of the soup of the day as a complementary treat (or it was included with our orders, not 100% sure) the soup was a ham/lentil/bacon recipe and it was delicious. My wrap was pretty tasty too, it could have used something to add crunch, maybe wonton strips or something like that. The flavor was great though. My wife's pizza was a bit too cheesy and slightly undercooked, but it was still tasty. If we ordered that again I'd probably ask they cooked it a couple minutes longer. The "small" salad was HUGE! I can't imagine what the large is like and I can't believe the price for what you get there. It looked amazing and fresh. My sister in law said it was very good. Overall I do think they have a couple things to work on but I loved the experience and I would come again if I was in the area. It was an incredible value for the quality of the food and that's why I'm still giving them 5 stars. For about $35 it was an absolute steal for 3 people.

Brief Review: Despite being a bit busy, the service was excellent, and the food was enjoyable. Personally, I found the gravy a bit bland and the ranch not very firm. While not exactly to my taste, it wasn't bad at all. On the other hand, the chili dog burrito was both unique and well-executed, delivering exactly the kind of flavor you'd expect. I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this place whenever I'm in the area; the overall experience was fantastic. Coming from the east, this visit was truly refreshing and heartwarming. The small-town atmosphere is so strong that you can almost forget you're in the desert. The place was bustling, yet it's surrounded by charming little shops to explore. Arriving early on a bike run, we only had to wait around 30 minutes, which was quite manageable given the crowd. Despite placing separate orders, the food came out relatively quickly. The service was top-notch from everyone, and I particularly appreciated that other staff members were proactive in assisting when needed, a touch I personally liked. Our waiter was more than accommodating, willingly splitting the check a few times and processing our payment promptly. My experience was wonderful, even though some elements like the gravy and ranch didn't match my preferences. However, I can understand why others might enjoy them. Overall, I highly recommend giving them a try. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed eating at The Coffee Cup! The place was packed when I arrived with there being 20+ people waiting to be seated. Despite how busy it was, they called our name over the loud speaker to be seated in about 30 minutes. The menu was large with the prices being reasonable and not overpriced, especially the drinks. I originally planned on ordering a coffee, but once I saw the michelada was only $5, just $2 more than a coffee, I had to go with that instead. I ordered the Big Texan Omelet with a pancake as my side at no extra charge. The omelet was flavorful and was packed with meat and topped with one of the best chili I've had. I only wish there had been more cheese throughout the omelet instead of just sprinkled on top. If you're a meat lover, this one's for you. The pancake was a good, fluffy, traditional pancake. I have zero complaints and it tasted great as a late night snack. The Papa Con Chili Verde with white rice was some of the best chili verde I've ever had. SO GOOD. The Godfather Plate was ginormous and tasted delicious. The Godfather sauce that came with it was incredible. The only downside of the meal was the biscuits and gravy. Although the single portion was a generous size, the gravy lacked flavor and the biscuits tasted very plain.
